Hello there Losties. Today I am going to write about my version of Season 7 Episode 3. It will be titled as The Return. Previously on Lost. We were shown how Rose and Bernard built their cabin during the past. They were shown to interact with Richard in the past and told him about Locke in exchange for him to keep a secret about their whereabouts. In the present, Hurley and Ben have gathered the remaining member of the others and rebuilt their home at the barracks. Rose,Bernard and Vincent were invited to live in the barracks as well.
Let the episode begin. Ajira Flight 316 was shown flying across the sky. Kate,Claire,Sawyer, Miles and Richard are resting on their seats while figuring out a way to tell the public about the reason behind their disappearance and all that have happened on the island. Lapidus is concentrating in flying the plane. Kate is trying to calm Claire,telling her that she will be on her aide on the way and that she will help her to be a great mother figure in Aaron's life. Sawyer is figuring out a story to lie to the public but his idea was objected by Kate. Kate said that they can't lie twice. The majority of the group agreed with that and they decided to practice what they are going to say. Richard said " We have to leave out the more magical details such as Jacob and the smoke monster." Everyone agreed with him and they decided to just reveal about the more believable details. They were able to summarize everything that happened because each and every person on the plane have been on different places during their stay on the island. Everyone was in the beach during season 1 and 2. Richard was with the others. During season 3, Sawyer and Kate were on Hydra Island while Claire was on the beach. During season 4, Kate was mostly on Jack's group while Sawyer,Claire and Miles were on Locke's group. Claire was with the MIB during season 5 while Sawyer and Miles were in the past. With that the group could have a complete story to tell the public. The group shared what happened and decided to pick the most suitable story to tell.
We are then shown a flashback. It was during a war. Lots of military planes could be shown flying in the sky. We were shown a young man piloting one of the military planes. A command could be heard. "Fight theuu Soviet army. Make sure to defeat them. They must not win." The young man replied "Roger sir. Lapidus out." Lapidus then flew his plane towards the enemy and engaged then in battle. The battle was extreme and intense. It was mere chaos down there, the military planes of both sides shot at each other non stop. Lapidus who was skilled with piloting easily dodged some attacks from the Soviet army. Military planes of both sides were shot of course. Suddenly, Lapidus heard his comrade calling for help. He replied "Roger Scott." He soon flew his plane back to the plane attacking Scott and shot the plane of the Soviet army down. Unfortunately, his friend Mark was soon shot down. Although lots of his comrades were shot down,the Soviet army suffered a lot too. The greatest pilot of the Soviet army was another young man who's actually Mikhail. He shot down lots of planes down like how Lapidus shot lots of planes of the Soviet army down. The champion of both sides fought each other while their comrades fought each other. Mikhail kept shooting at Lapidus which Lapidus dodged skilfully. For someone as skilled as Lapidus, he was very impressed by Mikhail. The two kept shooting and dodging while the others are busy battling each other.
We are then brought back to the present. Lapidus told the team that they are about to land at Los Angeles,the place where they started. Everyone was nervous especially Claire as she was afraid that she wouldn't make a good impression for her son, Aaron. The plane soon landed. Outside of the plane there are faces old and new who are keen to finally uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of Ajira Flight 316. To their horror,only two passengers of the flight returned. Just two no more no less. Of course they are Kate and Lapidus. The crowd was also shocked to see Sawyer, Claire, Richard and Miles who are not even passengers of Ajira Flight 316. Claire's mother for one is happy that her daughter us alright and she ran and hugged Claire. Although Claire was a mess, her mother's still glad to see her. Claire called out to Aaron who seems terrified. He asked Kate "Mama who is she?" Kate replied" That's your real mother Aaron,I am just your aunty and I helped your mother take care of you and from today onwards I will help you two bond." Claire seems at peace for a moment as she thinks Aaron is just so cute. Cassidy who's among the crowd spotted Sawyer and the two made eye contact. Sawyer then approached his daughter, Clementine and told her that he is her father which pisses Cassidy off. The parents of Jack,Sun and Hurley are busy searchinging for their children until Kate who told them their children aren't here. The crowd was full of questions and the group decided to answer all the questions in a q and a session.
A flashback was soon showed. Lots of military plane were seen shot down from the sky as Lapidus and Mikhail continued their battle. After lots of shooting, Lapidus was able to shoot Mikhail's plane down and continue attacking the enemy. Lapidus' team was able to defeat the enemy although they suffered great casualties. But little did they know,Mikhail survived but at a cost,one of his eyes was injured and that eye must remain blind for the rest of his life. He was able to use his skills as a medic to save some of his comrades.
We are then brought back to the present. The group's seated on the stage and were blasted with lots of questions. The first question came from Jack's mother who asked where her son is. Sawyer told her that her son is dead just like Sun who's dead. Fortunately, Hurley's alive still on the island. After hearing the news Jacks and Suns parents cried as the translator translated the news of Sun's death to them. Hurley's parents then asked why is Hurley still on the island even though he's well and alive. Richard replied "He is on the island as he's chosen as the leader of the island. There's a possibility that he might return and you might be reunited with him." One of the reporters than asked Lapidus what happened to the passengers which he said that they are all dead and Sawyer added that they were possibly killed by Charles Widmore who headed towards the island after the crash of Ajira Flight 316. Another reporter then asked Kate if there's still other survivors this time which she replied yes. She said Rose and Bernard are still alive on the island but they don't want to be found. Richard added that there are still a handful of people on the island. The reporter got confused and asked who is he exactly and what exactly happened on the island. The group told them that Oceanic Flight 815 crashed due to the malfunction of the hatch on the island and some of them survived but they were then ambushed by the natives of the islands. Then they were involved in a war against the natives. However, they soon realised that there's an even bigger enemy which is Charles Widmore and the survivors and the natives worked together. Widmore hired some crew and Lapidus and Miles were some of the members that defected. The Ocenaic 6 used the helicopter to escape from the island. Finally, 5 of the Oceanic 6 returned to the island to bring back those who were left behind. Sadly, most of the people on the island died.
Kate revealed that Boone died after being crashed by the plane, Shannon, Ana Lucia and Libby were shot to death. Claire then revealed that Charlie drowned to death to save everyone and some of the natives or non survivors of Oceanic 815 died too such as Danielle,Karl and Alex as they were shot. Miles revealed that some members of the Kahana died too including Daniel and Charlotte. Sawyer revealed that Juliet died trying to save everyone. Lapidus then revealed that Sayid,Sun and Jin died in the explosion of the submarine when they tried to escape on it. The members of the group then said that they would visit the family members related to those who died and tell them more about what happened.
A flashback was then shown. Lapidus brought his surviving comrades back to their base. Everyone was sad that they lost so manu hood men especially Lapidus. After that incident, Lapidus left the military and started to drink alcohol to relive his stress and he decided to become a pilot.u
We are then brought back to the present. The group's dismissed as they have been through enough. The group are then followed by the family of Jack,Hurley and Sun. Hurley's parents are kind enough to lend their place for the more detailed discussion. The group announced the address of the location in case any of the family members of the dead want to come as well. To be continued. What do you think? Do you like it?
