Best Friends and Cool Suits

Notes: Just a vignette. Honoka just looked so cool in that disguise, not gonna lie~
As Nagisa's birthday drew to a close, she and Honoka made their way back home by bus. Their fairies, exhausted from the battle that happened only a short while ago, took this time to rest. Thank goodness, Nagisa thought to herself. It was easier to chat without having Mepple interrupting with his smarmy commentary…not now, anyway. Normally, she could handle him, but now was not the time. Besides, she would rather spend the time decompressing from the day's events talking to her best friend. Honoka was such an amazing, supportive friend… What would she do without her?
There was something still poking at Nagisa's brain, though, and that was what Honoka decided to wear while keeping an eye on Nagisa's date with Hasekura. It was surprising to see the very feminine girl wearing something so boyish for once! Honoka had told her they were her father's clothes. Father's clothing or whatever, though, Honoka's disguise was almost too convincing until she heard the girl's voice earlier. She looked pretty cool, actually.
What if Honoka wore more outfits like that? That would be something, huh? Nagisa's thoughts began to float around, feeling more like cotton candy by the second. Maybe a suit that was all-white would look even better on her friend. White does suit her so well, after all. Nagisa imagined as Honoka saved her from some unknown peril, being carried in her arms. Now safe, the finely-tailored Honoka kneeled before the stunned Nagisa, tilting her sunglasses ever so slightly to get a better look at her. A warm, but charming smile graced her lips as she slyly remarked, "Oh, Nagisa…" This time, however, her tone had a hint of…coolness? Woah.
Honoka noticed her friend was staring right at her. Wait, was that a blush? "N…Nagisa…?"
"Eh?"
"Are you alright?"
Nagisa blinked a few times, finally realizing what she had been doing. Oh, she probably looked really stupid in front of Honoka just now. However, one glance at the quiet girl revealed genuine concern instead of disgust. That eased her a little. With a deep breath, Nagisa nodded in response and reassured Honoka that it was nothing.
"Nothing? Are you sure?"
Another nod. "Yeah. Don't worry about it, Honoka! Ugh, I hope we get back soon. I'm so tired!"
Honoka chuckled in response. "Oh, Nagisa…"
With that, Nagisa turned to face the window, watching the sun beginning to set for the day off the horizon. She sighed tiredly. Thoughts like that daydream were things Nagisa would get from time to time. Just as easy as they were to produce, though, she would be able to brush them aside. Besides, she wanted to enjoy the quiet ride back home. She smiled over at Honoka, who smiled right back. Honoka was such an amazing friend. What would she do without her?
