CHAPTER 3

I want a handshake!

[WARNING] this chapter may contain light spoilers for mha vigilantes volume 1!!! If you haven't read it, its fine and there's nothing you won't necessarily understand so please don't stop reading even if you haven't started the series!!!

Mei woke up with a huge stretch and a yawn. She groggily got out of bed to see baby ingeniums coolers and felt, absolute sweet relief after the events of last night.

"HATSUME GET YOUR LAZY GREASE OUT HERE, HOW'D YOU GET SO MUCH PAPARAZZI?!" Shinso suddenly yelled, banging on the door.

Mei didn't have a clue what he was talking about, so she quickly loaded everything into her back box to run out the door.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN PAPARAZZI?!"

"I MEAN A WHOLE CROWD ALL CHANTING YOUR NAME WITH CAMERAS- THERES A WHOLE DANG NEWS VAN." Shinso yelled.

Mei ran downstairs and out the door to see a mass of people with cameras, and clipboards immediately storming her with a bunch of questions,

"How do you feel after coming in contact with the league of villains?"

"Why did you run instead of fight?"

"Was he aware you're a design student?"

"Were you injured?"

"Is it true you went home?"

"Did you already know the villain?"

All the questions overwhelmed Mei; but something clicked with her, and she realized attention wasn't a bad thing… all these people want a news story and, she was sure going to give it to them!

Mei pulled up a little chair and stood on it "Hello amazing folks in the crowd! May I present the very baby that allowed me to escape the yucky faced man?" She shouted

The crowd looked intently watching Mei with absolute full attention, like the rest of the world was gone… pure silence. Then she raised up with her probably new favorite baby; leaving the crowd speechless.

She came back down to say "and these are calf coolers to Tenya Ida himself from class 1A! with of course adapting and cooling activity that even measures temperatures then sends it to a cloud network to save it! Same is on Endeavors kids vest! Us support course people make all sorts of behind the scenes magic for heroes so they can have more flawless fights and prevent drawbacks! And if you don't mind, I have plenty of future heroes waiting for me breeze" she said with an eager grin. Then pressing a button installed in her shoes, heaving her over the crowd and just over a tree and near the just off of the sidewalk most students take from the dorm to UA. Mei giggled to herself knowing how much some students and teachers hated the media. Maybe they just didn't know how to take advantage of the attention.

She ran to the great UA wall hoping the paparazzi wouldn't follow. She barely made it in as one reporter saw her.

Suddenly as the crowd came rushing in, Eraser Head and Present mic came to confront the paparazzi.

"HEY GET OUTTA HERE THERES A PRESS CONFRENCE LATER DON'T BOTHER OUT ROCKI'N STUDENTS" Mic shouted "Hey show? You sure I can't beat me up? Pleasured" He quietly begged to Shota.

"Do whatever you want but we've talked about this" Shota sighed "your reputation would be nothing but trash, after all there un-armed…"

A large speaker came and said from Nezu "all reporters and press please vacate the premises, or hound dog will be escorting you out."

Everyone immediately rushed away from the campus, and Mei could go back to the design studio in peace.

"Mei? Your back already I though you planned to take today off…" Power loader said.

"I did but some dumb stuff happened, and I got attacked by someone from the league of villains…" she yawned "give me a few minutes to wake up all the way… baby ingenium needs his coolers."

"D-do you wanna talk about it? Th- that's like a lot to handle." He said dumbfounded

"I'll be all right just a day of design and I'll be back and fiery as always." She said dropping her bad on to the table then beginning to assemble the coolers.

A soft knock came to the door, and of course Mei ran as fast as she could to find…

"AKARI?!" (Mei's older sister) "YOU'RE A GENRAL STUDIES STUDENT WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" Mei shouted

"I know! I know! But… you went through a lot of last night, and with mom breathing over my shoulder I couldn't muster up a simple 'I'm sorry' the whole time."

Mei tried to ignore her but ended up falling back into her sisters arms squeezing her tightly and said "it's okay"

Acari's made a 'hic' in her tears that sounded nearly like a newly born songbird.

Akari was a 3rdyear student in UA and an honor roll general studies student. She always same up to be the top when it came to the family, only because her success was obvious much sooner than Mei.

"OH! Mr. Power Loader! This is my older sister Akari! Say hi!"

"Hello Akari" he said with a friendly tone "If you don't mind me asking, what's your quirk?" He said staring at her incredibly Bright hazel eyes.

"Its ocular multiplication! I can see two directions at once and my brain basically goes into split screen mode and I can see what's going on from both eyes!" she said then having one eye look at him and the other look off the side, then laughed seeing his reaction. "Not really a quirk for a hero but sure it's nice from time to time with assignments and stuff"

"Actually… I can see you being incredibly helpful in the support department… in fact I'm willing to take you in for a week or so, and if it's not your style then return to general studies…" He said in thought.

"You'd really be willing to do that?!" Akari said with a huge grin and excitement.

"Sure, I don't see why not." He said with a smile.

Her and Mei jumped and squealed with excitement.

"I can't believe it, Mei!" Akari said hugging her.

"You two have permission to head home and get Akari changed into something more suitable and ill contact your teacher to give you're the TCC" Power loader said grinning with his mouth closed.

Akari and Mei burst out the UA doors with excitement and joy obsessing over design and how exited they were. When a girl with frizzy, lumpy, pink hair walked out in front of the gates.

At the same time Akari shouted "Kazuho!" while meri shouted "POP STEP?!"

"HUSH YOU TWO I DON'T NEED MORE NUT-JOBS ON MY CASE" The girl scolded

She was wearing a hero like uniform with a heart in the middle of her chest and a fairly tiny skirt with platform boots that went over her knees. And then a black, somewhat from fitting, untied trench coat.

It took Mei a moment to process who stood Infront of her (as sides from the stunning show stopping, pop step.)

"Come on Mei, use that big brain of yours, neither of you have been back at the house much but your older sister… Kazuho? She hasn't told mom, but she is in fact pop step"

Mei was left absolutely dumbfounded stuttering gibberish.

"Anyways, I gotta run soon! The annoying little crap is waiting on me." Kazuho said with her hand on her hip in with a sassy and pretty annoyed expression. She noticed the upset expression her sisters gave and decided the little crawler boy could wait… after all her and Mei hadn't seen each other since the both of them were only 10.

"Okay fine, ill stay a little bit longer, but it depends where your headed…"

"I'm getting changed at home" Akari said, sadly knowing her younger sister wouldn't lay a foot in their home.

"Do you think you could fit into anything at Mei's place?... at all?" Kazuho Said looking at the floor.

"I dunno probably, I have some oversize's T-s and all my pats are baggy anyways." Mei said, not entirely amused; thinking of how the two of them used to fight, constantly.

"Well, I guess that's where were going!" Kazuho said, taking a step towards the two of them.

Kazuho grabbed the both of them around there waits then said "hold on!" then sprung into the air.

The warm air blew through Mei's hair and her stomach dropped. As Akari giggled. With the thrill.

Kazuho continued to bounce off the side of the buildings until landing near the dorms.

"Mei, go ahead I don't know nothing about UA dorms." Kazuho said

The trio walked in and stealthily walked to her dorm.

"This is well… greasy" Kazuho said cringing

"Oh, shut up Kazuho you live in the corner of a kids dorm" Akari said in annoyance.

Mei barked "SHUT UP YOU TWO, AKARI YOU GONNA TAKE THE CLOTHES OR WHAT?"

She took the clothes then went into the closet "I SWEAR IF ONE OF YOU TOO TRY TO PEEK"

The sisters both thoughtno one's trying to look at youbut just looked away.

The room stayed awkwardly silent until Mei took out her phone and began profusely typing.

"Mei, I can hear your typing and I'm in the closet- "Akari said though the door. "You gotta boyfriend or something?"

Mei blushed and said "n- no its my teacher" … "weirdo"

"Oh really? Witch one…? Is it eraser head?... that dude scares me…" Kazuho said staring with concerned eyes.

"No, that's a hero teacher I have Power loader, he's so cool! Even though I'm already a genius, somehow, he's taught me so dang much!" Mei said smiling warmly to herself a kind of smile that always said I have a crush for someone like Akari, but for Mei it was pure respect and appreciation… something Kazuho couldn't really get from her.

So many memories came back of her sisters... lake how kazuho called Akari a race car, because she did track and he name had " car" in it.
