Guardians of Eternia C1

This has been on my mind for a while, figured I would give this a try.

:Story Start:

Eternia-twenty years ago

The land of Eternia, a land of power and the hub between worlds and contained the ultimate secrets of cosmic power, Castle Greyskull. Eternia is ruled by the King and Queen, who worry for the future as one of the sorcerers of their domain predicted the fall of Eternia, unless a warrior of great power could stand between the embodiments of Evil and Death.

The King and Queen were seen walking through their private garden worry for the future. Which was problematic for trying to start their family. It was that night when something strange happened as the sky tore and thunder grew louder before a bolt of golden lightning crashed a short distance away. The guards rushed the garden and discovered a golden haired child with whisker birthmarks on his cheeks, crying while wearing large clothes the size of an adult. The queen saw the child and decided to adopt. Which was the start of destiny changing as a shooting star crashed into the distance.

As at Serpent Mountain a spherical capsule crashed into the ground found by a creature of incredible dark power and evil, for the force of darkness gained a daughter.

Montage of the years.

The adopted Prince Nate would train in combat, before becoming the big brother of twins at four. Though when he was seven he through a knife stopping an abduction before they could even leave the palace.

Overtime Nate was able to fly through his studies to the point where he had so much extra time he started learning how to defend himself in hand to hand combat, weapon use, Piloting and in a minor task of leaning magic. Which at his sixteenth birthday he was summoned and his past and future was revealed.

Present Day-Eternia-Royal Castle-Enroute

A fully grown Nate now sporting a pony tail, with loose trench coat that left both his arms bare, while his left forearm was armoured with a special gauntlet that acted as a sheath for his sword. He was at the controls of a large flying craft that had few weapons and plenty of cargo space. Around Nate's neck was a fox pelt.

A second person arrived inside the cockpit revealing him to be a man wearing green and gold, "So this is the royal castle of Eternia. It looks interesting."

Nate chuckles before saying, "All locations have their own beauty to them, Loki, not everyone shares the same sentiments."

Loki, the newest member of Nate's crew simply comments, "You transport cargo like a simple trader and yet you are the prince of this place."

Nate chuckles at the unasked question before saying, "What can I say, I like to help where I can." Loki took the only other seat and says, "Well the gifts from Asgard should appease your father."

Nate chuckles before saying, "I have been away from Eternia for too long."

With that his ship flew through the air above the town surrounding the castle before coming in to land to the east of the main castle. With the ship landed and some of the cargo collected as Nate, Loki and two others walked towards the throne room where they find the king sitting in his throne while the Queen sat next to him. To the side was a young man wearing a pink shirt over white garments while next to him was a green tiger with orange stripes. Nate stood in front of the King before kneeling with his three companions as the King spoke, "What of your quest?"

Nate simply answered, "King Rindor, the Asgardians have agreed to an alliance with Eternia," The King frowns at this as Nate continues, "Odin's son, Loki has agreed to join my Guardians and we have brought a gift from Odin. Several barrels of Asgarian Spirits to mix with mead. It is very potent." Nate offered a small barrel and says, "I suggest you try a drop."

King Rindor opened the barrel and placed a drop on his finger and tries the alcohol and shivers before saying, "That is potent."

Nate then comments, "A single drop is normally enough to give a proper buzz as it were."

King Rindor nods and says, "That is impressive. What does this make, five or six different kingdoms for you to align yourself with."

"Seventh," Nate comments before saying, "The Asgardian's have agreed to share some Uru ore, enough for Man-At-Arms can forge into a weapon for your personal use."

King Rindor frowns but nods in understanding before asking, "In exchange?"

"Well there was only two requests in exchange," Nate admits, "One of his sons join me in my duty to protect Eternia."

"And the other," King Rindor was suspicious.

"That he defeated my Brother in a duel," Loki jokes before stating, "It was very amusing."

Nate then adds, "Because of our actions the Guardians are given free passage into Asgard."

King Rindor simply nods before stating, "Very well," he was suddenly elbowed by the queen before the King asks, "Will you be staying for dinner?"

"That was my intention," Nate states before standing, "I haven't spent time with Prince Adam and Princess Adora since their birthday."

King Rindor nods, as Nate and his allies left the chamber. King Rindor did notice that his son had left the chamber. King Rindor frowns at this as the Queen comments, "Why do you distrust our son."

King Rindor sighs and says, "I do not know why but I my gut tells me differently."

With Prince Nate-Eastern Courtyard.

Nate and split from his fellow Guardians and walked through the castle, to find his little sister, Adora, as she was training with the daughter of Man-At-Arms, learning the craft of the blade. To the side was a maid whose eyes were covered her blind eyes, while next to the maid was another maid, only this one was the same age as the two training though with cat ears, and eyes with two different colours, her maid uniform being a bite more torn and dishevelled with a lack of shoes. Nate was snuck into the area and leaped into a tree to watch the group training. The head Maid shifted her head lightly before smiling lightly before Nate appeared behind her and whispers into her ear, "Hey, Hina, how is everything going?"

Hina blushed under her mask before sighing and says, "Uneventful, Adora and Teela have been expanding their skills. Though there was that one instance when for some reason the western bridge somehow fell apart as Adora was riding her machine horse. Adora managed to clear the gap without issue, and the bridge has since been rebuilt."

Nate hums before releasing Hina and whispers, "Well my sources have been successful in finding information. I will be warning the king tonight," the cat maid did not move but her eyes did widen as she tried to remain calm as Nate continues, "Be ready for tonight."

Hina whispered back, "Do you think it will escalate?"

Nate chuckles and says, "How long have you known me to have everything go right?" Hina chuckles easily as Nate excused himself to interrupt the spar between two female knights in training. Nate catches both of their blades and says, "I will agree that both of you have become stronger. But be more aware of your surroundings."

Teela nods in understanding while the blonde girl Adora suddenly shouts, "Big Brother!" and tackles Nate to the ground painfully.

Nate groans while Hina appeared to cover her mouth as she laughs at the incident, while the cat appeared to glare at Nate before Nate stood up holding the back of Adora's shirt as he says, "Seriously Adora, can't your brother say hello without needing to have his back realigned?"

"No," Adora states simply.

Nate paused for a minute before chuckling loudly and says, "You have given me something to think about," in all seriousness. Nate then smirks and says, "How have you been Adora? Putting effort into your training with Teela?"

Teela blushed before Adora says, "Compared to Teela, not as much. But since you last saw me, I have been able to fight Man-At-Arms for three minutes and ten seconds," she smiles in triumph at her accomplishment.

Nate smirks and says, "I look forward to the day when you can fight Man-At-Arms to a standstill or even breaking his best blade, you should be ready," Nate statement causing Adora's eyes to widen before she fist pumped and returned to her training.

Nate watches as Adora returns to her training while Teela frowns before asking, "Does giving her such false hope really a good idea?"

Nate looks to Adora and laughs before saying, "What you fail to understand is I was also talking about you." Teela blushed lightly at the faith he has in her and returned to training with Adora silently. Nate smiles before winking to Hina before walking back into the palace leaving a blushing Hina behind. Once Nate was out of sight the catgirl maid started smooching air making fun of the maid next to her only for Hina to slap the back of her head.

The Dark Lands

Several dark figures where kneeling before a throne made of bones with a blue figure sitting on the throne while in it's clawed hand was a device that was that they listened too, "There is a delivery of Uru ore from Asgard is being delivered to the Royal Palace. The Prince was able to create an alliance between Eternia and Asgard. He will be at the palace this night." The voice was distorted and concealing the identity of the voice.

The figure laughs with a nasally laugh before revealing his voice, "Then we can steal the ore and attack the castle. Then Eternia will be mine!" and laughs with evil.

Inside the Palace-That moment

Nate walked through the Palace until he found Prince Adam's pet Tiger sitting outside a specific door. Looking at it sadly before perking up at the sight of Nate. Nate kneels next to the laying tiger and rubs the tigers face before speaking, "Hey, Cringer, everything okay?"

Cringer sighs and says, "I am not sure, I mean Prince Adam has been somewhat stranger than normal," Cringer the talking green tiger that Nate gifted Adam for his fifth birthday, though Adam would constantly complain about how much of a coward Cringer was, and why he wanted a more fearsome creature.

Nate smiles before saying, "I should say hello," with that Nate stands and knocks on the door before speaking, "Adam, can I come in?" he hears some scrambling behind the door when finally the door opened and Prince Adam stood in the door frame and Nate asks, "Care to join me in a walk around the castle?"

Prince Adam shakes his head and says, "I am afraid that I am busy at the moment. I will see you at dinner," before closing the door on Nate that caused Nate to frown but was understanding. Nate kneeled next to Cringer and petted the large cowardly tiger before walking away and missing Adam glare at him from the seam of the door.

Cargo ship from Asgard-Moments after it arrived in Eternia.

A large golden ship exited out the ornate portal and slowly extended a sail to pull the flying ship through the skies of Eternia. Which was quickly followed by a series of dark ships surrounding the vessel and proceeded to attack the vessel forcing it to the ground. From one of the crafts a female figure dropped onto the deck and proceeded to punch the deck of the floor and proceed to break the ship in half, before dropping inside and punching a guard with full Uru armour and leaving a dent before hearing the female say, "Weaklings," before grabbing the chest and leaping out the vessel and into the distance while the other small ships continued their attack only for the crew to spark and fall apart revealing them to be robots, while not noticed by the female figure.

The female figure flew back to Serpent Mountain and kneels in front of her master and says, "Lord Skeletor, I have brought the Uru Ore."

Lord Skeletor chuckles evilly before saying, "Congratulations my daughter, you have proven to me that you have the power to become a general and fight beside me. So rise, Caluifla mistress of strength." Caluifla smirks as the green light revealed black hair and eyes, a pink tube top and blue pants, "You shall join me in my attack of the Royal Palace, but first," he opened the case and found a large piece of dark grey ore that then formed into a long staff that he threw to Caluifla who caught the staff and she appeared to glow with energy.

The royal palace-that evening-Royal Feasting chamber.

A large room filled with servants serving the royal family, the Man-at-arms and his daughter Teela, Nate and his fellow Guardians who are at the castle at that moment. The only person that was yet to arrive was Prince Adam who was slowly walking from the other side of the castle. So as they waited Nate convinced Loki to tell some of the stories of himself and his brother.

"We were dealing with bandits, or at least about to sneak into their camp in order to either apprehend them or just deal with them if they were too much trouble. So it was me and my brother trying to make a plan to get into the bandit camp. What I wanted to do was to use some illusion magic to sneak into the centre of the camp and capture the leader before returning to the bandit camp the next day with our fathers soldiers. My brother had other ideas. When we were much younger thought of a method to trick our enemies called, 'Get Help,' what it entailed was that he would hold me in his arms, I would pretend to be injured and when they came to help us, he would throw me at the enemies. They would be knocked down and while he fought the reinforcements, I would sneak away and capture the bandit leader. He has used that plan a few times." Loki was annoyed with the very memory. Loki then sighs as Nate looks at him causing Loki to admit, "Okay he has used it a hundred and two times," Nate continued to stare and Loki admitted, "Okay he used it last week."

"Yeah your brother is a muscle head and proud of it," Nate jokes before Hina stepped over and refilled his golden goblet with water. Nate then goes on to say, "He is quite strong even when he does not use his lightning, but only uses his words when he has been humbled." This got a pair of laughs from the other two members of the Guardians. The first was a man who was wearing mechanical bird like armour, while the second was also female, who was dressed as a purple mage her head cover and face concealed in shadow, her staff leaning on the chair behind her, the head of the staff was designed like an empty goblet. Nate looks to the two and says, "Warhawk, Mystic, should I tell everyone what happened on the Sky Guard?"

That caused the pair to stop laughing and support blushes. Loki sighs and says, "Yes you were so loud I had to cast an illusion on the entire ship into thinking you had finished before midnight. I unfortunately had to ask for ear plugs," he took a sip of his drink as everyone laughed.

For the next ten minutes everyone talked about some events that happened on their travels, until the King appeared annoyed and comments, "I really wish you would take things seriously Nate, galavanting around Eternia and other kingdoms when you should be focusing on your training to be king. Am I right Duncan?" refering to Man-At-Arms seating next to Prince Adam while Nate and his friends sat at the other end of the table.

Man-At-Arms looked uncomfortable before admitting, "Your highness," he looked to Nate who nods simply before Man-At-Arms continues, "Nate has," before he could say anymore suddenly loud bolts of green lightning struck around the Royal Palace causing a disturbance outside and having Man-At-Arms contact his soldiers as everyone besides Prince Adam stands looking around.

Nate frowns before commenting, "Warhawk, Mystic, head out and look for intruders," with that the two split with Warhawk flying out the Royal Palace to patrol the grounds.

Loki looked around before asking, "What do you want me to do?"

"What you do best," Nate states before leaning back as Caulifla appeared and tried to strike Nate in the chin with her 'Uru' Staff. Nate flipped back away from the wild swings trying to kill him but Nate was putting up a good fight as he did not attack back.

Adora and Teela drew there blades while Adam stood and left the room quickly, leaving everyone else to handle the attack as Skeletor arrived with an orange beast man, a green ogre with robotic components and finally a female figure dressed as a bat holding a staff with an orb on the end. Skeletor laughs and says, "Your royal highness, allow me to introduce your replacement as Ruler of Eternia. Me," Skeletor laughs loudly before stating, "I am Skeletor the most powerful being in the Universe making me its ruler. Now die," Skeletor raised his staff at the king only for Nate from the side to suddenly draw an advanced pistol and fire at Skeletor's staff encasing it in ice before it could kill someone.

Skeletor shakes his staff while Caulifla was seen smashing the pistol in his hand before Nate was forced to dodge several more wild swings. Nate then comments, "You know, I prefer to know the name of the person trying to kill me."

Caulifla laughs and says, "I am Caulifla, the strongest fighter in Eternia and once I am done with you I will find the strongest fighters here and destroy them for my amusement."

The King and Queen looked to Nate in worry, unaware that they, Teela and Adora were no longer in the room as Nate asks, "So where did you get that staff if you don't mind answering?"

Caulifla laughs and says, "This staff was made for me using the Asgardian Ore we stole!" with that Caulifla brings up her staff and brought it down full power downwards to smash Nate only for Nate to suddenly pull out a familiar looking ingot to block the strike and shatter the lead staff her staff was made of.

Nate smirks holding the real Uru Ingot as he says, "Like I was going to let a stranger take something so dangerous through Eternia."

Skeletor continued to shake his staff as the green ogre fought Man-At-Arms while the orange furred man tried to attack Teela and Adora only they were able to easily avoid the beast man's claws. The other woman that came with Skeletor started chanting a spell only for suddenly having to avoid Loki's blade having been thrown at her. Loki comments, "I suggest that you surrender before I am forced to hurt you."

The warning was ignored as the evil sorceress fought Mystic and Loki, in a battle of illusions and magic that led out the castle. Skeletor after freeing his staff took aim at the Royal family again only for the beam to phase through them and not hurting them, as everyone now realises they were no longer in the same room. Skeletor shouts, "What!?"

Nate managed to avoid Caulifla's wild fists while grabbing several segments of the lead staff and used it to knock her hands away before using one segement to disorientate Skeletor and leaving a crack in the side of his skeletal head and groans in pain before Nate says, "I suggest you leave," Skeletor roared and tried to use his staff on Nate who raised his armoured gauntlet and deflected the spell back at Skeletor causing him to scream in pain and on his knees in pain.

Skeletor growls and says, "There is only one way you could have deflected my power. The power of Grey Skull!"

Nate became really serious as the armour of his gauntlet was partially melted revealing a grey sword hidden underneath. Nate simply says, "I suggest you retreat," which was when Warhawk returned holding a shoulder mounted rocket launcher aimed at Skeletor.

Skeletor growls and says, "Very well, but remember you have made a powerful enemy this day Defender of Castle Grey Skull," only to receive another piece of the lead staff to the forehead and him screaming in pain as he and his forces teleported away in green smoke while Caulifla was going in for a final attack only to vanish before striking Nate in the back of the head.

Nate looks around before saying, "We better find out where Skeletor and his cronies are," he stumbled lightly as some blood leaked from his gauntlet and he fell to his knees in pain before saying, "Okay maybe after I have broken arm repaired, ow." Loki's illusion dropped revealing the other half of the room was undamaged and holding the royal family and Teela, minus Prince Adam.

So This was an idea I had after seeing scenes from HE-MAN Revelations and thought this would be interesting idea.
