Chapter two: Second Change

When I asked for an ability like any other isekai protagonist I expected I don't know, control fire at will, a class like a rpg game or even a super broken weapon that would completely unbalance the world I'm in, however, I didn't expect this in the slightest, and now that I saw it in front of my eyes it took me a few seconds to realize that this power is the most convenient.

Not for me. But for the god that sent me to this world.

Gamer.

A power that turns the user's life into a video game, breaking the logic and the system of powers in this world. An ability that if used well could turn me into a good developed character with a decent story or a broken bastard that only exists to get girls to join his harem without doing anything to justify it.

On the floating screen that appeared in front of me was a message:

Press starts to continue.

Where am I supposed to click? There was no floating button or anything, should I say "start" to continue or something?

Immediately the screen changed and another message appeared:

Welcome Sieg Toben player.

And subsequently in front of me was a menu with many sections. really, just that, no tutorial? It's my life that is at stake here, if it was an ordinary videogame I wouldn't have cared, I'm one of those who likes to learn things by myself no matter how difficult it is. Resigned to the fact that there was no more I started to navigate through the interface.

What appeared in it was not something I had not already seen in other stories where the protagonists have a power similar to mine. User, stats, skills, options. crafting, store, pets, race.

"Wait what?" from surprise I abruptly got out of bed and cursed under my breath when I realized I had thought out loud, the last thing I wanted was to wake up Asia who was sleeping in the other bed in the room. She still hadn't gotten used to the time change.

What were these last four sections anyway? I pressed crafted for a few seconds and my intuition proved to be correct when a box with information about it popped up.

Crafting: As long as you have the necessary materials you can create anything. Once you have acquired an item or skill you will be able to create it again at no cost, although you will need the same materials to improve it.

Broken, this is broken. I thought the description was pretty straightforward but the second part was a complete surprise, aside from the fact that I can upgrade the items and skills I create the fact that I can re-create them anywhere and anytime I want was a wonder.

Weapon crafting.

Crafting armor.

Crafting accessories.

Crafting Magic.

Skill crafting.

Okay what is this shit, can I craft stuff, like Minecraft? I mean if I have a piece of wood can I craft a sword or was it something more elaborate. I clicked on crafting weapons and another menu popped up this time with the category, I bypassed the others and went straight to swords and thanks to the creator of this for putting a search icon, the scroll bar I almost got the urge to search.

So, it would look something like this:

Weapon Crafting/Weapons/Swords/Wooden Sword.

Wooden Sword

Practice sword used by beginners starting out on the swordsmanship path. Or a goblin stole all your money and you can't buy a better one.

Damage: 5

Durability: 100 hits.

Maximum level of improvement: +15

Skills: none

Materials for creation: Any type of wood. Note that depending on the type its durability and damage may vary.

Really? You could be more specific. Obviating the strange description of the weapon the damage and durability was what I expected from it. The maximum enhancement was a bit odd considering this was a simple wooden sword and apparently weapons can have both active and passive abilities. I was getting a little excited. Actually, I was a little too excited.

I lasted longer than I wanted to on the crafting option, but there were so many amazing things I could create that every time I found something interesting right after I found another one just as amazing or better.

I went to the store and what I saw didn't disappoint me. Apparently, I could buy items with real money which bothered me a bit, I didn't see myself making much money in the near future and some of the prices were ridiculous. There was nothing in the pet's section. That was because I didn't have any at the moment. Although in the store I did see a section called pet store. I didn't know how rare it was that there was a store in another store, but I didn't question it too much.

It was when I got to the breed option that I realized how strange it was that there was such an option in the first place. I clicked on the option and another menu popped up with a number of breeds that I assumed only existed in this world.

Devil, Fallen Angel, Angel, Youkai, Dragon, Dragon God? Grim reaper, Vampire. There were more I didn't recognize. Press angel out of curiosity. And apart from giving me a brief description of what it is, there was a message: You can only change Race at Rebirth.

What do you mean by reborn? My doubt was answered almost immediately.

Rebirth: Once the player reaches level 100 the rebirth option will be enabled. When reborn the player can change race or stay in the current race. Note that he will lose all his stat points and will return to level one. However, his stats will increase by x1.5 and he will keep all the skills obtained until the moment of rebirth.

Okay, it wasn't the first time I saw a system like this, in an old video game called Silkroad there was a similar system so now I felt a little more confident about it, although the description helped a lot.

The rebirth system left me a bit dumbfounded, there were so many possibilities with something like this. That means that at some point in my life I'll be pretty much mastered. Which worried me a bit, I never liked overly powerful characters that didn't just exist as an author's self-insert into the main work. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I let out a yawn and looked at the clock in the room 00:14am. It was a little late so I closed everything up before traveling to dreamland. Tomorrow I will look at everything in more detail.

With that thought I went to sleep. But not before looking at the most important thing.

Statistics.

I fell asleep cursing the system. Why didn't the important points go over 5?

That's unfair!

A lot has happened since the leader of the fallen angels Azazel had "adopted" us our little family had moved into a house in the kuoh quite a bit and that was when I realized how small the houses in Japan were compared to those in my home country however, I wasn't complaining a place I could call home would always be welcome. To my surprise language was not a difficulty for me, then I realized that one of my passive skills was language comprehension and a little guilt entered me when I saw Asia trying to read the signs, we saw on the way home. That didn't last long though as our caretaker used a little spell so that Asia could read and speak Japanese as if it were our native language.

It was quite refreshing to see the little seven-year-old girl get excited about things that any normal child our age had seen countless times on the way to school, but there was the rub, neither Asia nor I were normal. One was the one who in the main line would be called a holy maiden until she cured Diodora Astaroth and was excommunicated from the church and I am a reincarnate from a world where this was nothing more than a Thursday anime I watched in my teens. So, I didn't know if the word normal applied to us. We used magic so I doubt it very much.

It wasn't long before Azazel told us about what in the Fate saga was called the moonlit world. The story of the fallen angels, Angels and Demons we took as a class every other day at a specific time. I don't think I should tell something like that to the two kids I had just adopted, if we were any other kind of kids, we would have run away scared when he showed us his wings. But I guess being chased by a crazy exorcist made you immune to those things.

At least Asia said they were pretty. She earned an ice cream for that. I'm just saying that crows never struck me as cute.

Azazel's excuse was that since they lived with a fallen angel, they should at least hear the history of their race and by the way the current state of the world. I guess he had never dealt with a child before because I'm pretty sure a child wouldn't have understood half of what he said.

At least Asia was interested in tutoring, I on the other hand was more focused on learning how to use my power which I had called system, I know it's not an original name, but it was what I had at the time.

I had discovered the party option characteristic of this kind of games, I had a lot of fun when Asia asked me scared why there was a floating screen in front of her. Azazel spit out his coffee when it happened to him. And after that I told him a lot about my ability. In most of the stories I've read the protagonists will do anything to keep something like that a secret, but I think some take it too far, if a supporting character comes along who has more knowledge and age and above all isn't a potential enemy, I consider it a good choice to tell him about it. Who knows if in the future it might help you understand your own power? As it happened in my case.

Already knowing about Asia's sacred gear and my System Azazel asked us if we would be willing to be his research subject. He didn't say it like that, but that's what I understood, I'm sure my friend did too. In return I would not teach how to properly use Asia's sacred gear and get materials for my Crafting. It was a win, win no matter how you look at it.

To this day I drool when I see some weapons and armor in my inventory. Knowing that if they ever break, I can make them again at any time in the future.

Which brings me to the next part.

The main story.

Well, I knew I had already changed from the first moment I had befriended Asia and thanks to that I removed an entire arc from the timeline. I'm not proud of that. so, anything could happen now. However, I like to think that something will follow the plot. I'm a mob character, someone who shouldn't exist and shouldn't matter in this world, so if the plot continued along its original path, I'd just have to stay close to the main characters and I wouldn't die. That would have been a great plan except that we were already about to start our second year at Kuoh Academy and neither I nor Asia had had any contact with the occult club.

Apparently, that pendant I gave her hid her magical energy and any kind of power Asia had so well that neither the student council nor the occult club had detected her sacred gear. I had a similar pendant, although according to Azazel, Sistema was not recognized as something magical, that was confirmed when I exhausted all my mana points and could still use my power, barely. It turns out that mana depletion leaves you in a state similar to an intense binge where everything spins around and you start seeing rainbows and unicorns. Or I could have been drugged. I don't think I should try the Asian "healing" tea again.

Back to the point.

For better or worse we hadn't gotten involved with any of them and the starting point was too close. Although knowing my luck it would most likely happen sooner rather than later.

Maybe I shouldn't have said those words.

"Sieg-chan" Asia's voice snapped me out of my monologue and stifling a yawn that had just come I replied.

"something's wrong."

"Mmm, it's just that you've been spacing out for quite a while now, I've had to lead the way. Look we're already here."

And indeed. In front of me was the huge academy and main location of the events of the first volumes and season of the novel and anime. Apparently, I was so far away in my mind that I hadn't noticed the large number of girls walking past us.

"I'm sorry, it's just that a lot has happened and I've been remembering our childhood" I scratched my head a little embarrassed. The blonde just shook her head in amusement.

"you've been at it a lot lately"

"It won't happen again"

"don't worry, I'm calmer I thought you were worried about something."

The future maybe?

"Nothing, now come on let's not obstruct the passage of others" with that said I took her hand and dragged her with me to the entrance of the auditorium where the welcome speech would be given.

As I walked past the disproportionate number of girls a curious thought came to my mind.

Kuoh Academy, originally a school for girls, opened its doors to male students last year. The curious thing is that despite that, there were still more girls than boys in first and second year. My only theory is that due to the difficulty of the entrance exam many boys decided that being in a sea of females wasn't worth the effort of staying up all night for a week studying for the exam. Thank you, skill: HSAM. I had to save a lot of my allowance to get you. You were totally worth it.

"You do it again"

"sorry"

I will not thank you for this, destiny.

Nor you, goddess who sent me to this world.

I hate you.

Sitting in the last seat by the window, I cursed as I laid my head on the table. Across from me talking to his two companions of the famous perverted trio was Kuoh's perverted beast, Issei Hyōdō. Next to me Asia was talking to a girl with glasses that while I didn't quite remember her name, I knew she was dangerous. On the same level as the three in front of me. It was lunchtime and I honestly didn't even feel like leaving here.

"This will be the year I finally see some boobs in real life and form my own harem!" Issei declared perhaps a little too loudly.

"Great expectations for this year Hyōdō, but mine are more realistic" Motohama declared while adjusting his glasses in a cool way. "Now that we have entered a new year it means that my list of measures must be updated" the guy said it so calmly and confidently that no one who heard him could retort anything. Myself included. Your cool perverted glasses, even if you don't have your own place on the wiki.

"My year has come, this will be the one where I finally start my high school romance." finally one with a decent, moral goal." With the loli of my dreams!" and speak too soon. Matsuda declared loudly which made all the girls look at him in disgust and take a step back. I admired his confidence and assurance; despite that he was not hurt by their actions.

"We will achieve our dreams; I am sure of that I will definitely play some good oppai" Issei raised his fist in victory.

The funny thing is that even though Issei's goal is the stupidest and most improbable it is the one that is accomplished first. I snorted in amusement.

The truth is I had heard a lot about them in my previous year and had a lot of fun watching and listening to their witticisms, there were things that were better to see in person to truly appreciate them.

"What, are you making fun of my dream damn handsome?"

Huh?

Confused I turn my gaze to Issei who was looking at me offended.

"Are you talking to me?" I point to myself with my thumb. I didn't notice when the classroom went silent. Nor when all our classmates were looking at us.

"Yes yourself, you think because you are good looking you can mock the dreams of us the "average"."

Ok this is ridiculous, and what is this Handsome anyway? I consider my appearance average in my home country.

"No, not at all." I shook my head as I watched the three of them approach. Obviously, I wasn't afraid of them, they weren't going to do anything, but it was better to speak the truth than to create misunderstandings. None of them displeased me. If we ignore their perversion, they are all good people. They don't know that I know that.

"I just laughed because I remembered something funny." They looked at me suspiciously so I elaborated. "No matter how perverted or immoral your goals and dreams are, I'm no one to make fun of it, besides the fact that you can say something like that with such confidence is admirable" and I was telling the truth. Despite what these fools were like I liked them.

"You, you can't be serious" Issei looked at me in disbelief. His friends were the same way.

"I do" I said as seriously as I could.

We looked at each other for a few seconds until.

"I, I'm sorry" Issei apologized embarrassed. "I thought you were making fun of us" I shook my head with a small smile. Now let's get out of this awkward moment and tense silence.

"No problem, then there was something interesting about what you said".

"What I said?" Issei asked surprised and trying to remember what I had said.

"Yeah, mmm, harem I think that's what you called it, what is it?" he knew it was obviously.

"You, you don't know what a harem is?" the disbelief in Motohama tone was palpable, the expression of everyone in the classroom but me too.

"No, I don't use the internet much and when I do it's usually to study. That's why I was hoping to be taught what a harem is, I think I've heard it in history books, but I don't remember it correctly."

"Ooh! Well, if you want to know so badly! Listen Toben-san a harem is-" Matsuda was brutally interrupted by the whole class.

"Don't you dare!"

"What, it's a duty for all men to know about the greatest feat of our gender!" shouted Issei to the others.

"Women have had harems too you know" the one with glasses countered having stopped paying attention to Asia.

Reverse harem if I remember correctly.

"Kiryuu, you finally make your appearance" Motohama declared as he pointed his finger at her by way of challenge.

"I could not remain silent at the statement of such an uncultured" she stood in front of the three boys. "And even more so if it came out of the mouth of the most perverted member of trio without possibilities"

"No chance" I asked before they did.

"Of getting a girlfriend of course" she said as if it was an undeniable fact.

Ouch, now I remember this girl.

Basically, that's the nemesis of these three in the whole series. Or in much of it.

Much of the class started discussing men's harems and women's harems like it was a history class debate. I took a back seat so I went back to leaning back in my seat, while enjoying what I had caused. Asia came up to me and looked at me as if she wanted to tell me something, but only opened and closed her mouth.

"Something's up Asia" arched an eyebrow. Apparently, she took courage and spoke.

"Sieg-chan, you know what a harem is right?" I just smiled at her with complicity and put a finger to my lips. She laughed lightly understanding everything, before speaking again. "it's just that if Sieg-chan would like a harem I'm totally fine with it" she clutched her skirt a little embarrassed.

What?

"What?" I repeated out loud.

"it's just that I read that a large portion of guys would like to read one" she looked at me innocently.

"A, Asia, where exactly did you read that?" I felt terror come over me, I already knew the answer, but it wasn't beyond confirming.

"From, from father's orange books" this time she hesitated a bit to answer as her face reached a red that was not healthy at all. It's official, Asia has been reading Hentai, how come I hadn't heard about this. damn you Azazel hide your porn better.

"Asia the opinion of those books only reflect the author's wishes; you shouldn't take it literally" I tried to say as seriously as possible.

"Really? Then you wouldn't like a harem Sieg-chan." I don't dislike the idea.

"For now, I haven't thought about it" I quickly replied.

She let out a small sigh and put her hand on her chest. "it's okay, I understand, I will support Sieg-chan's decision in whatever she chooses."

You are so pure.

"Thank you, Asia," I smiled and reached out my hand to stroke her head. It was an automatic action we had been doing since we were kids so neither I nor Asia knew what it would cause when she instinctively ducked her head a little to let me come.

"Argento-san?"

"Toben-san?"

My caresses stopped when I realized where we were at.

So, here we go.

"I didn't know you two were so close" Kiryuu approached us.

"we've known each other since we were kids" Asia replied, her blush prior to when she was seen with my hand on her head was gone.

"Hoo, so childhood friends" motohama adjusted his glasses as if doing that stupid, but cool light trick on his glasses.

"Yeah-" I couldn't say more.

"You bastard!" the perverted trio shouted "how envious!" as they pointed at me,

"To have a bishoujo as a childhood friend, where's the love rival?" what is this a romantic comedy?

"Anyway, it's already half past lunch time and I'm starting to get hungry so me huh?" as I checked under my table, I realized there was nothing there, I went to my suitcase and it wasn't there either. "Great I forgot lunch at home" I sighed resignedly.

"Ah! About that, you had been spacing out from home so you forgot to take it, sorry I forgot to give it to you earlier, here" Asia took a small bento box from under her table and offered it to me.

"Thank you, I owe you one" you are my goddess.

"No, don't worry" she blushed a little and gave me one of the many smiles that made her look so cute.

Wait a minute, we are still in the classroom. Where most of my classmates hadn't left because they were talking or playing. That means.

"Wait, Argento-san, home?" oh no. Kiryuu asked next to the perverted trio's attentive gaze.

"yes" Asia replied still not seeing anything wrong with that.

"Oh, well you guys are really close replied as you have a key to Toben-san's house." Matsuda stated while nodding his head.

You are a genius, the best sportsman, praise you Motohama-sama.

"Now Asia we better go-"again I was interrupted.

"Well naturally I have one" she replied while showing a cute keychain. Here it comes. "We live together" damn the clichés.

I swear I've never been in a place as quiet as this.

Nor has it ever been as noisy.

What?!

It had been weeks after that. The confusion in our class subsided shortly after, somehow. And things went back to how they should be, being just one of the mobs. If you don't count that I am now some kind of God to the perverted trio, luckily no strange rumors have spread about us.

A funny thing happened in that course of time. Apparently befriending the protagonist was easier than I had imagined, or maybe it's just his unusually high charisma ability that all harem anime protagonists had. All it took was for him to ask me for help on some math problems and somehow, we ended up in an arcade playing a very pirated and plagiarized version of dragon ball z. We had met on more occasions than I can count on my fingers. Apparently, my plan to get close to the main character to survive in this world could be put into action one way or another.

"Take that destiny!"

As I grabbed a juice from a vending machine, I heard a familiar voice call out to me from behind.

"Hey, Toben!" Issei walked quickly towards me. I stopped and waited for him to approach.

"Sup Hyodou."

"So, how's your day going?" he asked a little nervous? I naturally rolled my eyes.

"Issei, we saw each other about 5 minutes ago in the classroom, actually, we saw each other before that. We came to school together since we found out we lived near each other" I replied dryly. "what's really going on, you didn't hold your lust and jumped on a girl? I expected that from Matsuda, not from you."

"What! no, how can you believe that from me!" he replied shocked, as he looked all around, when he saw that there was no one around he sighed and looked at me again. I couldn't hold back my laughter. "you're cruel" he snorted.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You're nervous, you need to relax" I said as I patted him on the shoulder. "So, you're going to tell me what's going on"

"Uuff, well, you know. It turns out... I'm going on a date with a girl and I need your help, this is the first time it's happened and I really don't want to ruin it" it took him a while, but he finally ended up telling me.

"Wow, congratulations that's really an accomplishment" I clapped still with my drink in my hand. "And what exactly do you need my help on? as weird as it sounds, I have no dating experience".

Not in this life.

I replied as I sat down on a bench we had found while walking around the school campus.

"Thanks, wait. you and Argento-san haven't dated?" he asked surprised.

"Well, I don't think what we do falls into the romantic dating category. It's not like we're dating" I shrugged as I finished. Issei was still looking at me with his mouth slightly between open mouths.

"You and Argento-san aren't dating!?" he shouted as he stood up from the bench.

"Did you think we were?" I asked genuinely curious, is that how others see us? We've said we're friends on multiple occasions. Although dating Asia had crossed my mind on one occasion or another, I've never done anything about it. I guess a part of me feels guilty for taking away the happiness I would later have with the guy in front of me. Maybe I should think about it more. To be honest Asia really likes me.

"Everyone thinks so." Replied

"I didn't expect that. Anyway, it may sound cliché, but it's something that undeniably works, be yourself and have fun together, and above all have a lot of confidence in yourself. girls will know right away that something is wrong if from the beginning you are shy to even look her in the eyes. That's all I can tell you" I finished along with the juice I was drinking.

Issei contemplated my words and shortly after nodded his head.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it Toben."

"Sieg" I replied lightly.

"Huh?"

"Call me Sieg, we've spent enough time together for you to call me by my name, and remember I'm not Japanese. "

"Right, sometimes I forget that you and Argento -san are from Italy, Sieg. So, call me Issei, it's only fair don't you think?" he held out his hand for me to shake and with a small smile I reciprocated the gesture.

Even though my name is German.

"Right, Issei."

"Well, it's about time to go." He stood up from the bench as he stretched.

"Yes, you're right. Anyway, which one is the unlucky one?" I asked jokingly.

"Ugh, by the way I will introduce her to you tomorrow along with the guys, they didn't believe me when I told her" I don't blame them. "Her name is Amano yuuma" mmm where did she know that name from?

...

O shit.

Has the story already started?

I thought there was still a bit more to go. should I let the plot run its course or step in and make this an alternate universe? The downside of knowing what's going to happen is that you don't know what will happen once you get involved, I've known this since the exorcist freed encounter. Now that I'm so close to the starting point, I don't know what to do.

"I look forward to it."

Was all I could reply as I followed my companion back to the main building.

We'll let it be what God wants

Or, right. He's dead.

And the big day had finally arrived. The starting point. I had been through a lot to get this far. I had prepared quite a bit. my stats section could make a dent of that.

I had suffered too much to get everything I had on at the moment. There were many dungeons I had to complete and many times I almost died. I don't think I'm going to take it off anytime soon so I really appreciate that I can turn most of the things I wear invisible reduce their weight to the point where I feel like I'm wearing nothing but my uniform.

I was done with class so I put my notebooks away in my suitcase and waited for Asia to finish putting hers away.

"Isn't anything missing?" I asked her as I walked towards her.

"No, all ready" she declared with a smile and we walked out of the classroom.

We talked about banal things as we walked towards the exit of the campus, it was something she and I did very often, because we only had lunch together on certain days of the week, there were days when we each went on our own at lunch time. We preferred it that way, so we'd have more to talk about on the way home.

"Are those the perverted trio?" Asia pointed to the most infamous guy in the academy.

"Asia don't call them that" I admonished her. She pouted a little as she replied.

"Isn't that what everyone calls them, even you do?" ugh, I couldn't deny that. It's just that those words shouldn't come out of pure, saintly Asia. Sorry Asia from the original timeline, your counterpart is not on the right track.

Before I could respond, we arrived towards where the boys, and a girl, were standing.

"Oh, Sieg, Argento-san! Here "Issei called out excitedly as he waved his hands at us.

"Sup" I greeted.

"Toben, thank God you're here! We have a traitor among us!" Motohama grabbed me by the shoulders and then pointed to Issei who looked indignant.

"I don't know what you're talking about if you don't explain the situation to me."

"Issei has a girlfriend "declared Matsuda.

"And... shouldn't we be happy about that? Think about it, if Issei of all people got a girlfriend then why can't you two" I deliberately ignored an annoyed I heard. "anyway" I approached the girl who watched everything with mock amusement. "My name is Sieg Toben, Toben is my last name, Friend of Issei. The guy can sometimes be a handful, but he's a nice guy" I introduced myself and teased as I extended my hand to the girl and gestured to Asia.

"Ah! I'm Asia Argento, Argento is my last name. Classmate and Hyodou-san's Friend a pleasure" she gave a small bow.

"My name is Amano yuuma, thank you for taking care of Issei" Wow that girl does the role very well. She greeted Asia and me equally with a smile.

"Well, it's been a pleasure Amano-san. See you guys."

"Bye, see you tomorrow."

Asia and I said goodbye, but not before wishing Issei luck once I passed by his side. I received a nod in confirmation.

This day the ride home was silent. Not that it was a bad thing sometimes we liked to enjoy the quiet of the afternoon and observe our surroundings as we walked from home to school or vice versa. However, today this silence felt a little odd.

"a fallen angel"

"So, you noticed her too"

"Yes, her way of hiding her presence is not quite perfect"

"So, I saw"

"Will this be father's handiwork?" she apparently thought out loud.

"Maybe, you know how he is with his guinea pigs, cof, cof, research subjects".

"Hahaha, you know he doesn't like it when you call them that."

"That's what they are, what we were."

Once again, the silence returned. Although this time it didn't last as long.

"In the time I've known him I never expected to see Hyodou-san with a date"

"That's a bit cruel Asia" she waved her hands back and forth trying to deny.

"No, I didn't mean for it to sound like that!" I saw how mortified she was so cut.

"I was kidding, I know" I laughed seeing her expression. After she cried out, she continued.

"Uuff, don't get me wrong I'm happy for him, under that perverted cloak Hyodou-san is a kind person, I've seen it with my own eyes" she stated adopting an expression of remembering something.

"On that we agree"

"He looked happy, genuine" she continued.

"yes"

We were silent for a few moments and kept walking until I only heard my own footsteps. I stopped and as I turned around, I could see an expression that it would take Asia a long time to get to show in the original timeline.

"Do you think we should give it a try?" She asked.

I honestly felt this was going too fast. but in retrospect I could see no better place and time than this. Asia and I since we were kids have been through a lot together. Joy, sadness, happiness, pride. A myriad of emotions we've had together over the years we've known each other. So, it was not unlikely that this would happen.

Since childhood Asia has been a girl who always looked for the good in things, a girl full of curiosity who spent hours a day locked in the library reading all kinds of books, expanding her knowledge and lexicon to a level impossible for children of her age. And those traits grew with her. This was not the Asia Argento who grew up next to the church, this was not the Asia who was tricked by a demon, cast out of her faction, and killed by the fallen angels who were supposed to take care of her.

While she found her happiness with Issei the girl went through a lot to get to that point.

This was not the Asia of the Cannon. This was the girl who at 10 years old caught a stalker and tied him up bondage style only to leave him to his fate to be found by the police. The girl who is not afraid to speak her mind, the girl who has helped me use my mana the right way, the girl who has had me foremost in her heart since we were 7 years old. This was Asia argento, my best friend and the girl I'm in love with.

I extended my hand with a small smile, "I think we should give it a try," "little by little" I added as I walked towards her and took her by the hand. "Do you agree?"

She gave me the biggest smile I had seen her do since we met.

"Totally agree Sieg-chan."

This time the walk home felt much sweeter.

Praise the combini, for existing. If I wouldn't have to go much further to buy these ingredients. Which were stored in my inventory, by the way.

Today curry would be prepared at the request of the master of the house, and because the ingredients were missing, I offered to go and buy them. Issei is supposed to take Raynare to the park and there she would kill him, Rias Gremory who has not been present yet would revive him and the story of Highshchool DxD would begin.

At least on that part I was calm.

You know, I really shouldn't have taken this shortcut or said that. It was supposed to be a silent walk that would cut me a good few minutes to get home.

Damn you GPS, are you against me too?

"So, you would die for me?"

Those were the words that stopped my walk and made me fix my vision to the event that was happening a few feet away from me. I was surprised he hadn't noticed my presence, I guess this pendant does its job too well.

"What's going on?" Issei I'm just like you at the moment.

Seeing a woman with raven wings and semi naked, it's not something you see every day. Seeing it through a screen and seeing it in real life are two really different things. although my 13-year-old self and my current 17-year-old self-agreed on one thing.

Raynare was hot.

Like most, if not all girls in this world.

It was when I saw the spear of light the fallen angel created that I snapped out of my thoughts and sprang into action.

"Die" she said as she threw the spear towards her target.

Issei seeing her inevitable death closed her eyes, waiting for the impact. Impact that never came.

"I always blame the Goddess and fate, but I guess I'm the one who always gets into this kind of situation."

Issei opened his eyes in surprise as he recognized the voice.

"Sieg!"

"Sup, I guess your date didn't end the way you expected" I asked him still with my eyes on my target.

"You who the hell are you!" she exclaimed angrily.

"How cruel, we didn't see each other just a few hours ago Amano-san!"

"You, are you that boy! A human shouldn't be meddling in our business!"

"Isn't Issei a human too?"

"Within him lies a power that must be eliminated at all costs and because you got in my way and somehow deflected my attack, I will kill you too!" she exclaimed as she created another of her spears of light.

"Sieg what the hell is going on? Yuuma-chan transformed into that and now he wants to kill us" Issei asked me a little hysterical. I don't blame him I would act the same way if I didn't know any of this.

"I'll tell you everything later Issei, now stay behind me."

"You won't be able to deflect this one!" yes, yes, I could.

Before it hit me the spear hit something invisible again and instead of deflecting like the first time it shattered into shards of light?

"I guess that's not your most powerful attack, is it?" he asked with genuine curiosity. I could only watch as his anger increased and he created another spear again. "Well, let's see how much you can take, but first."

"Visualize"

[Name Raynare

Race: Fallen Angel

Level: 45]

I didn't need to see any more to know that I won't withstand a blow from Akatsuki.

I reached out my hand as if trying to grab something and when I felt the contact of my sword hale towards me. A black katana with orange accents on the handle appeared in my right hand.

"You're not the only one who can do a Hocus-Pocus."

"A mage, of all people, you will die just the same" he threw his weapon again and I didn't even need to draw my sword to deflect it.

"you're a villain that appears at the beginning of the story, everyone knows those are the weakest" "now let's get this over with already"

I unsheathed my sword and an overwhelming heat flooded the area where we were.

"You should be careful with your wings" "your feathers could burn" with those words I swung my sword horizontally towards her and an intense flame shot out of the weapon. This was the benefits of having all my hearts full.

The attack extended a little beyond the park, but the flame was extinguished almost instantly.

"What, what a day, hell was that?" apparently, I had dodged it. Barely. Part of her left wing was gone. One of the effects of Solaris the Akatsuki's ability is that it doesn't even give its target time to feel pain, though I don't know if it's because of that or that they don't have sensitivity in their wings.

"That was a normal attack from my sword, not even charged with mana. You won't dodge the next one, besides don't worry you won't feel any pain" I said while charging some mana into my weapon.

"Ho, ho! Looks like Raynare has gotten Raynare in trouble by a human of all things" an irritating voice appeared out of nowhere. There on top of a tree branch was a fallen angel, one of the 3 that had just arrived.

"Dohnaseek" spat Raynare as he tried to get up. "What are you guys doing here?"

"You were taking too long so we came looking for you" the girlish looking, Mittelt replied casually. "Would you put that away, it's too hot in here."

Put out the Akatsuki flames.

"Thank you."

"you're welcome."

"We didn't expect to run into something like this" Kalawarna looked at me as she added her part.

"More showed up" Issei who looked quite sweaty added even more scared than before.

"don't worry" I smiled to myself. "This is great" the flames on my sword flared up again as I walked towards the three fallen angels. "You saved me the time of looking for you guys"

"You were looking for us human-kun?" asked Dohnaseek with a rare smile.

"yeap" I nodded my head. Through my peripheral vision I watched as Raynare attempted to create another spear of light.

I'm sure none of the people present saw me as I disappeared and then appeared behind her and thrust my sword into her back.

"Burn" her life only gave to let her try to let out a scream however she didn't get to. Raynare was turned to ashes in seconds.

"What the hell?" were the words of disbelief that came out of Mittel's mouth.

"I didn't even see him move" the surprised blue-haired eyes wouldn't take off from me, waiting in case he made another move.

"Before we try to kill each other can I ask a question?" I raised my hand.

"And that would be?" the mocking tone of Dohnaseek had vanished.

"If I remember correctly Raynare's job and by extension yours was to guard Issei, not kill him did Azazel order this?"

"Yes, it was Azazel-Sama's orders, besides how do you know that?" Mittelt was the quickest to answer.

"Well, Well I guess it can't be helped." I sighed "look why don't we just leave this here; you guys forget that I murdered your partner and I forget that you guys almost tried to kill my friend" I proposed. Although knowing them I knew the answer.

"You are an unknown variable that could be problematic in a future human-kun, we must eliminate you as quickly as possible" Dohnaseek denied my proposal as he created one of his spears. Kalawarna and Mittelt looked at the man before doing the same. I could see doubt in his eyes. Fear, I guess.

"You know you're going to die, don't you?" I asked.

"You killed Raynare because she was overconfident, there's no way I-" and there goes another one.

I looked at the remaining two and was not at all surprised when I saw them make their weapons disappear.

"Come on I'm sure you and the old man will have a very long conversation."

"Old man?" questioned Kalawarna.

"Azazel."

"You know him?"

"He's, my father."

I ignored the looks of disbelief behind me as I walked over to where a fainted Issei lay.

"Did he faint from shock?" I asked.

"No, it was from the heat of that sword" Mittelt pointed to the Akatsuki now returned to its sheath.

"Oh, I owe him an apology for that. And for all this. "Come on the old man must be wondering why it took him so long to buy the ingredients for dinner."

"You're going to leave it there."

"I'm sure you can also sense the demonic presences that approach this place." "you guys weren't subtle in hiding your presence when you arrived."

I settled Issei's body on the bench and grabbed the shoulders of the loli and the busty blue-haired girl. "they'll feel a little dizzy, but it won't be a big deal.

"Hey, what are you" I didn't let them finish and we disappeared into a Hohō.

You know what, Fuck the cannon, I had already deleted a will be one more to the list.

Author's notes:

if you've made it this far, well I think you deserve some congratulations and a thank you from me.

I will use this section to clarify some things or answer any doubts you may have about the story so don't be afraid to leave a comment. And apologies for not expressing myself in the first chapter I'm sure it was hard to read and a little disappointing not to see some notes from the author about what you just read. I don't blame you.

Speaking of this story.

I'll clarify a few quick things so there's no confusion going forward.

In part this a player fanfic so there will be dungeons, leveling up, party's etc... all that will be in chapters dedicated to them apart from the main plot, as canonical omakes of the story.

I don't know if there will be Harem.

Asia and Sieg

Some of this chapter may feel rushed, but I should clarify. Asia and Sieg are not yet in a romantic relationship. Asia will be the main girl even if there is harem or not. It's nothing special just that I like the character and she was the first one I thought of when I wrote the first paragraph of this story.

Sieg is not broken. Or at least not that much.

Sieg may seem to be really overpowered at first, but that's because of the weapons and items he has. There are still those who can kill him.

This was long and I really appreciate you making it this far. I'll read you in the next chapter.

Bye.
