Chapter eleven:

The first part of the main floor that Chara and Frisk face is an open space with a grey look, plus a city seems to be around them.

The city built out of various materials only leaves a path, and the walls painted like distant buildings.

Frisk and Chara head forward towards the other side where the door can be seen. They make it to the door.

"There's a small area past here where the security office is. We can get the front doors to open from there. Then all we have to do is get past Asgore."

"Then we can get them the help that they need." Frisk confirms and steps back letting Chara take the lead.

Chara takes her through the door where it seems like this whole floor has been painted grey. She stops at a door painted black with a painted sign prohibiting entry. "The door will be locked. And the keycards are useless. The lock malfunctioned after parts were taken from it. But don't worry. I know a shortcut."

"You almost sound like Sans there." Frisk mentions causing Chara to chuckle. She is glad to hear the other give a soft chuckle.

"I suppose I am in someways." Chara removes a vent grate. "This leads into the room. A lot of time alone here let's you learn the place. Like Sans knowing his tunnels to 'teleport' around to different spots." She starts to crawl through as Frisk follows along behind her.

The vent is a metal with square like shapes put together, looking like a normal looking vent. It has some cobwebs hanging in some of the corners that Frisk ducks to try to avoid. It has dust that can be seen especially as the two move through it.

"Sorry for all the dust. I haven't gone through here in awhile. And it doesn't seem like anyone else goes through this part." Chara apologizes as she keeps moving forward. "But we're almost there. Just take this turn and we'll be right inside." She turns as Frisk does too. She pushes open the vent grate on the other side and the two crawl out.

They stand and glance around the security office.

The security office has a turned over desk, knocked over chairs spread to here and there, scattered papers all over, and a still standing desk with a turned off computer on it.

Frisk and Chara head over to the computer.

Chara glances to Frisk who nods to let her go ahead. She turns to the computer and turns it on. She begins working as Frisk lets her do what she needs to do. She smiles softly clearly knowing that Frisk is entrusting her with helping to get free.

Frisk starts to think about how they might be able to get past Asgore. She isn't really sure other than to maybe try to run, or sneak, past him. She has her doubts that it will be an easy feat. She will just have to figure things out on the spot when they get there. She turns to Chara as she waits for the other to get the doors unlocked. She decides to pull out her camera and talk a little into it. She sees Chara glance to her then turn away as if not minding. "Well this is it. Me and Chara, who I met in here, are going to get the doors unlocked. Then we just have to go past the ruler of this place. Asgore." She takes a breath before she continues. "I don't know how we'll do it just yet but I'm sure that we'll find a way. Once we get past him then we'll be free from this place. Just hopefully without letting everyone in here that needs help to escape too. This will probably be the last part I'll record. Up ahead I'll need to focus. So hopefully it'll all go well. And if not. Tell my family I love them. And that my friends are not at fault for any of this. They didn't know that there was something like this. How could they? I didn't even know until I set foot in this place. No one is to blame if things go wrong. But I do have hope that it won't. I just wanted to have that just in case. Frisk, out." She turns off the camera putting it back in her bag. She turns as Chara finishes getting the doors unlocked.

Chara turns to Frisk. "Okay. It's unlocked. Let us head on forward. Where Asgore will be waiting."

Frisk nods her head so they leave the room the way that they came in. She stays by Chara as they head through a door. She finds they enter into an area that reminds Frisk of Toriels home... Just all grey and bleak. She takes notice of chains blocking a hallway painted to look like stairs with the three keys.

"I know this place. I know where he hides the keys." Chara heads off as Frisk stands there waiting.

"Well well well." Flowers voice is heard making Frisk spin around to see him roll into view. He came from the door that Chara and Frisk used. "So you've made it this far. Impressive. But do you really think that you can take Asgore? A puny human like you who refuses to fight? I will admit that watching you try to resolve things without a fight has been entertaining."

"You've been following me?!" Frisk demands as her eyes slightly widen. She wonders if any other crazies in here have been doing the same.

"Sure have." Flowey smirks to Frisk. "You know. You could give me your soul. I can use your soul for food instead of the evil Asgore would use it for." He tries though Frisk highly doubts that is true.

Frisk can feel it in her gut that Flowey is planning something. "No. I'm going forward. And I'm going to do what I feel is needed."

Flowey stares at her for a long moment looking a little disappointed. He turns away. "Well I doubt that there will be much I can say to change your mind. Perhaps I'll watch this all go down. Or maybe find something else to do. Just a small bit of advice. You'll probably end up looking in a mirror wondering if it's still you. Especially with having to probably kill the king of monsters." He wheels away disappearing through the doorway he came from.

Frisk hopes that he doesn't start any trouble or anything. She watches Chara race past her to probably get the other keys. She turns back ti the doorway Flowey left through, before turning to the fake stairs. She hopes that she really know what she's doing with all of this.

Not long later Chara returns with the keys unlocking the chain allowing them through.

The two girls head on through the now open area and come into a big room with one more door at the end of the hall.

The room has painted tile floors, fake painted well made columns, window frames painted to be fancy, and the whole color scheme is that of yellow and orange.

Frisk sees a familiar figure up ahead and is relieved that it is Sans not Flowey.

Sans stands in the middle of the room as though waiting for her.

Frisk heads towards him with Chara following behind her. She hopes that they'll be able to get past without a fight. Though she can't help wondering why Sans is here.

The two girls stop as they leave a gap between them and Sans.

Just in case.

"Well seems you made it kiddo." Sans greets with a calm smile on his face. "Perhaps you have already heard that no being alone can get past the barrier. You need a human soul and a monster soul. So that begs the question. What are you going to do? Will you kill Asgore to be free? Turn around and stay in the underground? Well judging by how you prefer to avoid fights I have a feeling that you won't take down Asgore. If you have a choice." He shrugs a little. "I can't tell you what to do. But if you move forward the fate of our ruler is in your hands. You'll have to decide what to do. I don't have the stomach to really think about it." He tries to joke a little. "But if I had to say you'd have three options. Kill Asgore and leave. Let Asgore kill you and free us all. Or turn around and wander the underground with us forever."

"I will figure things out when I move in to that part." Frisk promises Sans. "I'm sure there'll be something I can do."

Sans stares at her for a long moment. "I hope you're right. Ever since our queen disappeared the underground needs its king more than ever. So I hope you know what you're doing." With that he heads to the side going into one of his tunnels to 'teleport'.

Frisk and Chara move on forward down the hall towards the door. They enter a room that is blocked off by a wall that looks like wood beams and paper.

Frisk notices Chara's eyes are drawn to something. She turns and her blood feels like it has run cold upon spotting seven black coffins.

Coffins with different colored hearts on the top. With one of the ones closes to them being slight propped open showing it's empty.

Frisk moves away horrified at the thought that those coffins could actually hold remains. She doesn't even want to think that they could be missing people maybe even children. She hurries out of the room with Chara dashing after her. She skids to a stop finding herself in what must be the throne room.

There are yellow flowers planted all around with a window seeming to provide the light. There is a throne placed up ahead, another wall up ahead where Frisk swears remembering is the way to the front doors, and a large figure is watering the flowers with his back turned.

Frisk remembers him by the purple blanket draped over his body, plus his blonde hair and fake white horns. She takes a breath then approaches the rather large man. She hopes that she'll be allowed to go past him without trouble.

The openness of the room preventing her from being able to sneak past.

Frisk stops as she notices that the man perks up as if having heard her.

"One moment. I'll be with you soon." A deep though gentle voice speaks, and after another moment of watering the flowers he puts the watering can down. "Now. How can I help..." He trails off as he turns around only to find himself look at Frisk. He turns to the side so his left side is facing Frisk. "Hm. I see. So the day has come has it...?" He turns back to Frisk. "I don't want to have to do this. But if you will continue forth then I'll have no choice. You can turn back now or face me. I have a duty to my subjects. To grant them the dream of freedom... Even if I must do some horrible things I promised in my moment of despair. You are the last human soul that we'll need. I will leave the choice of how you want to proceed to you. But if you go forward you will not be shown mercy. That is my only warning." With that he heads off towards the path leading to the front doors.

"Wait. Frisk." Chara speaks up causing Frisk to turn to the other. "Maybe we shouldn't. Maybe we should try to find another way out." She shifts her feet and Frisk can clearly see the internal struggle.

Frisk can guess that Chara must be torn between helping her, and helping those that took her in as one of their own. She moves closer to Chara. "We can do this. We'll move on forward and find a way past him. I maybe during the fight, if he does start one, we can make a break for the door. Once out we can complete our plan to get them help."

Chara hesitates for a moment longer before turning to Frisk nodding her head. "Let's do this."

So the two head forward to follow Asgore until they reach the front area.

The room painted white and grey. A desk holding six jars with fake hearts floating in water. The hearts the same colors as those on the coffins.

Asgore stands facing the doors painted in all white. His back to the two girls.

Frisk takes a breath and moves forward as Chara sticks close to her nervously.

They stop to keep a gap between them and Asgore.

"So... You have made your decision." Asgore slowly turns around until he is facing them. His gaze focused on Frisk as though he doesn't see Chara, like the others seem to act like she's invisible. "I had hoped you'd turn around and leave. But it seems that I was wrong. Now I'll have to kill you and take your soul. The final one we need to break the barrier to be free." He closes his eyes taking a deep breath as though to prepare himself for what is to come. He doesn't seem to actually want to do this, though he seems to feel that he has a duty to do so. He moves the blanket suddenly revealing a gold painted armor suit, made of what Frisk thinks is cardboard. He has bare feet painted white like fur. He grabs a red wooden trident that he had hidden behind a box painted to match the room. He tosses it causing it to land next to Frisk before she can move. He grabs it again and moves back. He lets his eyes be hidden by his hair as he takes on a battle stance.

Frisk takes a deep breath knowing that she needs to focus on getting to that door. She just has to escape and get these people the help they need... She won't admit it but she is rather nervous about this. Not fully sure whether or not she will make it out of this alive.

Asgore is massive and he stands tall in blocking the way to the way out. He almost seems like a deadly wall blocking her from escape.

Frisk feels her heart pounding in her chest as she tries to focus. She knows that she should be ready for any attacks that will come her way. She doesn't doubt Asgores intentions to do as he had said.

Asgore is already not allowing her to run after all. His readiness is clear on the showing that there will be no running away.

Frisk suddenly wonders if perhaps she can distract him at least long enough to get past. She slightly wonders if Chara could get the door open so they'd just have to run through it. She is about to ask the other when Asgore starts throwing matches like Toriel did; though for him he uses a painted match box on a table to the side. She jumps out of the way and ducks to avoid a swing of the trident. She's grateful for Chara stomping out the flames, though hopes to get a moment to explain her plan. She yelps as she is burned by a match on her hand that lands there. She shakes before stomping on the match. She is relieved when Asgore stops attacking. She maybe now can tell Chara her plan to be able to get out of here. "Sneak past him." She tells the other who turns to her. "And get the door open. We'll make a break for it."

"He'll kill you the moment you get too close." Chara points out sounding worried for Frisks wellbeing. "How are you even going to get past him?"

Frisk tries to come up with an answer however she can't. She looks at Asgore who is waiting to see what she'll do.

Like it is her turn to make a move.

Frisk almost wants to give up and perhaps accept that she has no way to win. She lets out a breath trying to regain her will to fight. She has made it this far and the exit is just within reach. She just has to find a way past Asgore who is the biggest obstacle that she's had to face. "I'll figure out something. You just focus on being ready to make sure we can get out of here."

Chara nods and moves to the edge of the room ready to go past Asgore.

Frisk brings her focus fully to Asgore. "We don't have to fight. You don't have to do this. You can let me go."

Asgore doesn't respond as though, even though he let her have a turn to make a move, he isn't going to let her talk him down. He will force himself to kill her if he has to. He shifts his trident ready to attack Frisk again as Frisk gets ready to dodge.

Asgore using one hand to hold the trident once more uses his other to toss matches at Frisk.

Frisk tries to dodge while also trying to stomp out the flames before it lights the place up. She yelps in pain as she is struck by a match on her cheek while doing so. She did get the flame out, and just as she stomps out the one that hit her she sees another one coming. She raises her arms to defend herself and her arm is hit. She quickly puts out the flames with her hands in slight panic before it spreads. Her hand stinging from doing so by the time the fire is out. Her shirt has burn marks however she's just glad that it didn't hit her skin. She is brought back to the fight at hand when she is hit with another match. This time her chest is hit. She pats the flames out with her still stinging hand. She leaps to the right side barely avoiding another one. She stomps it out noticing Chara moving.

Chara carefully sneaks around Asgore trying to not get hit by the carelessly waving trident. She sticks by the wall to do so. She heads for the door as Frisk dodges some more matches.

Frisk while jumping from one side to the other tries to look for an opening. If she can just get a moment maybe she can make a break for it. Her eyes are drawn to the trident that is the most dangerous thing Asgore has.

That trident is sharp enough to do some real damage by it. It is no doubt well wielded by its owner Asgore, who seems to know how to use it to show that he won't let her pass so easily.

And one wrong move could mean that all of Frisks progress gets thrown out by her death. She will admit she is terrified to even consider that it is the truth, though tries to stay focused once more.

Asgore remains quiet and keeps his eyes as hidden as he can, while still being able to see her. He tosses some more matches this time as Frisk dodges she runs back to the previous match to stomp out the flame. He keeps tossing matches until it becomes Frisks turn once more. He grips the trident with both hands waiting to see what she'll do.

Frisk slightly glances past Asgore to Chara who is waiting by the door out of here. She notices that the other looks rather anxious as she watches Frisk with hopeful eyes. She knows that the other wants her to make it out alive. She turns back to Asgore and decides that perhaps she can run pst him when he shifts to grab the first match. She wonders if it would be her only opening. She decides to take her given turn to try to talk him out of this. "Please. You don't have to do this. Just let me go." Her plea goes by without a response as she had suspected, but that didn't matter. She just needed to get him to start reaching for the matches.

Asgore shifts his trident to reach for the matches.

Frisk takes this opportunity to try to dash past him. She puts her full sprint into it. She skids to a stop barely avoiding being hit by the trident that slams into the ground. Her feet almost pierced by the ends that broke into the ground. Her panic of almost being hit causes her to back off once more.

Asgore seems to have no issues taking the trident out from the floor. He lights a match throwing it at Frisk who is still in panic flight mode so she runs back and forth.

Frisks mind not able to process the idea of running back the way she had entered. She stops running as she pants. She realizes in her panicked running she had stomped out any flames which was good. She takes this moment to quickly reground herself. She feels her racing heart slow after a few moments. Her foggy mind clearing as well to let her thoughts through once more. She needs to think of a way out. Her mind brings up those she had met along the way until it stops on Toriel. She gets an idea and pulls out the piece of pie that is crushed from her fall. She makes sure that the smell and sight of it is clear to Asgore. She hopes that she is right that maybe this will help... She is sure that Toriel was the queen right?

The aroma of the pie seems to give Asgore pause as though he is shocked to smell it.

Frisk cautiously starts to move forward to offer the squished piece of pie. She pauses as she notices Chara signaling to her to turn around. She turns to not to see Flowey there reaching for the hearts.

"Stop him! He'll think he'll be more powerful with those souls! And he'll attack!" Chara calls out so Frisk drops the pie running to stop Flowey. She can hear Asgore chasing her and wonders if he has seen Flowey or not as well. She hopes he has and is going to help her stop him. However to her horror the trident hits the ground just beside her. Making her realize that Asgore hasn't actually noticed what's going on. She leaps at Flowey knocking him over and out of his wheelchair that lands on its side. She then turns hearing Asgore yank the trident from the floor. She also notices from the corner of her eye that Flowey grabs some rocks from his pocket. Now she has even more to worry about. She leaps out of the way as Flowey throws one of the rocks. She notices a figure charging for Flowey.

Chara.

Frisk wants to call to her to tell her to go back to the door for their escape. But she doesn't get a chance as she has to roll out of the way of a swing from the trident. Her heart pounding once again as she feels like things are starting to fall to chaos. She doesn't feel in control of the situation at all. She also has a dilemma in front of her. Does she try to escape and get help on her own? Or does she try to do something to bring Chara alongside her in escape? She isn't even sure if Chara would be rather hurt by Frisk escaping alone or not. She doesn't know the others stance about it, since Chara does know Frisk has a plan to send help to this place for everyone, with the two having gone through things to make it this far. She isn't fully sure about her feelings for Chara right now. She doesn't really consider the other more than a helper, however a part of her wants to make sure that Chara escapes too. That part of her doesn't want to possibly hurt Chara by abandoning her to escape. She feels as though since she'd possibly never see Chara again she'd have to carry guilt. Her guilt in the form of thoughts of how badly she may end up hurting Chara by fleeing.

But perhaps could Chara understand? She is the most sane that Frisk has met while exploring this place. So maybe her mind would understand that Frisk left since she's not invisible like her.

Frisk is in more danger of those living here than Chara, by the whole not seen as a ghost. She dashes to the right to avoid a swing of the trident. She does notice Chara kick Floweys wheelchair further from him, while muttering apologies to one she still clearly cares about. She still keeps an eye on Asgore who prepares another attack. She dodges by leaping backwards and as Asgore pauses she turns to Chara. She is about to call out to her when the other turns. She finds herself giving pause at the assuring look she is being given.

Chara nods to the doors direction as if encouraging Frisk to try to get out. Her eyes on the other hand show a sadness of the potential possibility that she won't follow. That she'd be left here with the crazies of this place she has called home. She'd probably be taken away alongside them probably being deemed crazy too, just probably not as crazy as the others. She does seem ready to do what she has to in order to help Frisk escape... Even if it's Frisk alone who escapes...

Frisk finds her heart twisting at the sight of that sad yet assuring expression. Her want to escape with Chara at her side grows at seeing this. She just has no idea how they could both escape without leading everyone here out. She thinks that perhaps one of them would have to distract these two while the other escapes.

And it seems Chara is willing to hold them to stay in this building to let Frisk leave. Possibly to make up for what had happened in the past.

Frisk glances to the way out. She decides she'll try to get Chara out with her, though if she has to shell escape alone. She would prefer to have Chara with her. She has to dodge as Asgore goes for her once more. "If Toriel could see what you are doing now do you think she'd be proud? Happy?" She challenges hoping into get Asgore to falter. She sees him wince so she keeps going. "No! She'd be upset! But you can stop! For her! If not for anything else then for her! Surely you still love for her deep down inside." She sees him almost want to back away though keeps himself standing strong. "And what about Chara? And Asriel? You think they would have liked to see what you're resorting to?"

Asgore remains quiet though his stance has lowered, his body tensing even more, at the reminders of the family he's already lost... Or at least believes that he lost...

Frisk feels like she might be able to get a little more to really stun him. She hopes it'll be enough to allow her and Chara to be able to run out that door behind him. "You're not the king that the monsters deserve. Not even your family would be happy to see you doing this." She sees the moment as Asgore almost seems to almost drop his trident, as though knowing that Frisk is right. She doesn't dwell on it and grabs Charas arm. She tries to hurry them past towards the door.

Unfortunately Asgore recovered enough and attacks. He throws his trident making Frisk and Chara leap back to dodge... Only Frisks arm is cut from one of the tridents sharp tips.

Chara ushers Frisk back away from Asgore, well at least far enough away she can check on the other girl's injury.

"I'm okay." Frisk tries to brush it off with a smile to Chara who gives her a look to show she's not buying it.

"That looks deep Frisk. You won't bleed out to death but you'll definitely have a scar." Chara applies pressure to the wound making Frisk flinch from the sting.

"I thought we could get past." Frisk slightly mumbles as she now shoots Chara an apologetic look. She is given a smile in return.

"It's okay. It was a good try." Chara assures Frisk giving her a pat on the shoulder. "We'll just have to find another way around him. That was too close to you actually dying there. Too close for my tastes."

Frisk nods softly as she really does agree with Chara. She looks to Asgore who seems to be preparing fire attacks or at least what he sees as fire attacks. She keeps an eye on him ready to dodge for when he'll throw the attacks. She nudges Chara so they move out of the way of one of them flames. She reaches out a foot stepping on the flame to put it out. She is pulled away making her stumble as Chara helps her dodge another flame.

They don't have time to put out that one as more is thrown at them. They move one way then another to dodge them.

All while Chara is trying to help Frisk with her wound. She seems to want to try to bandage it though second guesses it since they're still in battle.

Frisk knows there's a chance she can get more injuries. She also can't forget them escaping. So trying to bandage any wounds unless absolutely needed seems like a waste of time.

After a little more of dodging the two split up to stomp out the flames before it gets worse. They head back together with Chara quickly checking on Flowey.

"Flowey can't reach the souls from where he is." Chara tells Frisk who keeps her attention on Asgore. "I think we'll be okay about him for now. I'll keep an eye out in case he gets creative."

Frisk nods softly to Chara hoping that with Flowey not as big of a threat they can focus. She believes that now she should be able to help Chara escape with her more easily. "How are we supposed to get past? My only idea was to stun him with truths and race past."

Chara looks to Asgore with a thoughtful look causing Frisk to wonder what she's thinking.

Frisk is sure Chara will let her know after she's gone through it in her head. So she waits to see if the other will share her thoughts. She really has no idea how they can get past. She's just really hoping that Chara might see a way that she does not.

"I might have an idea." Chara informs Frisk. "Well I had two but I think one is a bit too risky for us both." She looks to Frisk gaining a go ahead nod. "Well we probably shouldn't have someone try to hold him back like I first thought. So maybe we can knock him out or make him stumble over something. Then we'd just have to escape before he gets back up. Hopefully that will work since I'm not sure if we could come up with a better still safe plan."

"What about getting help to stop him if that doesn't work?" Frisk suggests quietly. "I mean you could hurry off and get some others to intervene."

"That'll take way too long. You know how big this place is. Even with secret passage ways and such that'd be too long of you defending yourself. I'd have to go all over to get enough help to make any difference. Not to mention I'm invisible to them being seen as an actual ghost so they delusion that I'm not there. I'd have to write a bunch of notes to convince them to come then leave it where they'll find it. Hoping that they'll get it and come."

Frisk throws that idea out the window, knowing that Chara does actually have a point there. "Okay. Well we can focus on the plan you suggested then. I'll keep him distracted. Find something we can make him trip over. Hopefully he won't see it coming. And hopefully we can aim him just right that he trips. Yet not being close enough to stab my leg with the trident."

"You've got this. No other explores have made it as far as you have." Chara agrees and before Frisk can away anything she hurries away.

Frisk turns her full attention to Asgore once more. She figures that it's better to focus on the task at hand. She just wants to get out of here and somehow fate seems cruel with the way out being just out of reach. "I will figure something out. You won't win. I am determined!" She tells Asgore not expecting a response to which her expectations are correct. She moves to the side to pretend she's going to try to get past again.

Asgore throws a lit match then another.

Frisk managed to jump back to dodge them both she sees the first burn out. So she stomps on the second one putting it out. She is about to move again when something or someone grabs her left ankle. She can feel that whoever it is doesn't care about being gentle. She turns looking behind herself as her eyes go downward. She finds that Flowey has dragged himself to her and grabbed her.

He clearly doesn't intend to let her move easily. His grin wide and a little unnerving. "I'm going to make sure he kills you and steal your soul for myself!" He chuckles as Frisk tries to escape the grasp. He doesn't let her and keeps tugging her foot to the ground.

Frisk isn't going anywhere fast. She turns to Asgore trying to figure out her situation. She glances back to Flowey and moves her other foot in time so he doesn't get it. She lets out a high pitched yelp as a match landing on her hand brings her back. She is going to have to kick Flowey off of her if she's to survive this.

Especially if Asgore decides to use his trident.

Frisk doesn't like to hurt others but she feels like has no other choice. "I'm sorry." She apologizes to Flowey and uses her free foot to kick his arm. She hurries away from him with Asgore flicking matches at her. She is free from Floweys grab and that's what matters. She can't help notice Floweys smirk as though a little pleased at least.

"Ah I knew you had that fire in you." Flowey mentions to Frisk who is just glad that she didn't hurt him too badly. "Now all you have to do is kill Asgore and get out of here." His eyes for a moment drift to the other 'souls' before turning back to her.

No. Frisk will not kill Asgore. She can get out of here without having to kill the other. She leaps to the left in order to dodge some matches thrown at her. She catches a glimpse of Chara placing something on the floor. She jumps back to dodge some more matches thrown at her. She quickly stomps out the matches to prevent a fire. She slightly turns seeing Chara give her the thumbs up then move closer to the door.

The item is hard to make out under the paint to match the room, however Frisk thinks that it looks like some kind of box perhaps. It's at least big enough, plus looking sturdy enough, for them to use so it'll work.

Now Frisk just needs to lure Asgore over there. She has to get him to trip over it. She gets an idea running towards him to try to get him to chase her. She backs off to dodge a swing of the trident then tries to back off slowly towards the item. She tries to not go too far so Asgore will feel the need to use his trident. She steps around the item to stand where he'd have to go in a path that leads to said item. She turns, having turned away to not trip over the item, only to slightly gasp at seeing the trident flying in the air towards her.
