(On Planet Chiffo, Age 756 . . .)
The village was feeling a bit odd today. The Chiffons, the planet's primary residents, didn't say a word to Malag, who would walk through town for groceries every once in a while, and would be greeted usually kindly. Now, they didn't say a word, and stood absolutely motionless and still.
"Hey, Deni, why's everyone being so quiet?" Malag asked, slowly turning his head to survey the people in the area. Deni looked straight into Malag's eyes. They looked frantic and all over the place, and although Malag seemed relaxed, he could tell something was off.
"Malag, you need to go home." Deni stated, with beads of sweat forming across his forehead.
"What are you talking about, Deni?" Malag said, as his small, furry acquaintance became extremely fidgety.
Just before Malag could say another word, he noticed a pair of soldiers down the walk path.
Both wore similar battle armor, with shoulder, thigh, and crotch guards, but while one soldier's armor was colored black and white, the other's was blue and white.
Malag looked on in horror, realizing why the Chiffons were being silent. They didn't want him to get caught. The soldiers were here for him and his wife. It was . . .
"The Frieza Force." Malag said dreadfully, as he looked around to make sure there was no one in the path.
"I'm sorry, Deni . . . I should've never come to your planet." Malag said as he walked towards the center of the path.
"Malag, don't fight them. There's a whole group of them on the planet, and if they find you, Cassa, and . . ." Deni hesitated
"I'll die before they lay their filthy hands on my family." Malag stated.
Malag then began to charge his power, drawing the attention of the Frieza Force soldiers.
He knew what he was getting himself into, but he couldn't take the chances of Frieza's underlings finding his wife Cassa.
"That's the Saiyan right there!" one of the soldiers yelled as he drew his weapon
The soldier began to pull the trigger to his gun, but hadn't seen Malag blitz forward and crush the tip of the weapon with his fingers, causing the gun to explode in the underling's hand. Malag then plunged his fist nearly through the foot soldier's chest, making him cry in sheer and agonizing pain. The soldier's partner fumbled to pick up his gun, barely able to grasp the handle as his partner trembled to the ground. Malag stared dead into the eyes of the Frieza lackey before him. Suddenly, without a single ounce of mercy, he sent a beam of energy right through the panicking trooper of the villainous tyrant that he had been avoiding for so long, ever since he was a young man.
"Did any of those foot soldiers head towards my house?" Malag asked Deni, who had stood up after ducking down to evade any stray laser beams
"Three of them did, but one was stronger than the rest, so be careful." Deni advised
Malag saluted his friend as he flew as fast as he could in the direction of his home. He could reminisce the day Deni had convinced his people to let his wife and him stay on the planet, and eventually gained the trust of the entire community, thanks to Deni. It was nice for him to think of these things, before diving into a fatal situation such as this, because it reminded him of what he was fighting for. Just as Malag arrived, he noticed two of Frieza's henchmen laid to waste in front of his house, while his wife, Cassa, struggled to fight the final remaining soldier off of her.
"LET HER GO!" Malag shouted with pure rage, as he fired a large energy blast directly at the large offender, who dropped Cassa to the ground.
Letting no time go to waste, Malag continued to fire a barrage at the already large crater that was left behind from the first attack. Malag finally stopped to replenish his strength, and began to smirk a bit, thinking that the enemy had been defeated. Suddenly, Malag heard a voice from behind.
"You thought a pitiful assault like that would kill me?" the big pink brute tauntingly asked, making Malag shudder for a moment, then swing his arm as hard as he could to his opponent's temple, earning a chuckle from the assailant, as he punched Malag harshly, stunning the saiyan for a moment before cuffing his hands together and slamming him towards the ground, merely a few feet away from the saiyan's incapacitated wife.
"Now, answer a simple question, and I might spare your life; do you have any children?" the brute questioned, lifting Malag by his hair.
"Go . . . to . . . Hell!" Malag exclaimed, filling his palm with a white energy ball that he implanted right into the attacker's face, only to get headbutted right into the wall of his house.
"I'll ask once more; do you have any children?" the pink brawler asked, getting more irritated as he charged a violent purple orb of energy, getting ready to obliterate the battered and beaten Malag, when Cassa struggled to rise to her feet.
"If I tell you the truth, will you let him go?" Cassa asked, shocking both Malag and the Frieza lackey
"Sure, I'll let him go." the thug said, smirking as he walked over to Cassa slowly
"Cassa, no, don't tell him!" Malag pleaded, trying to speak without coughing too much blood.
The beastly minion then kicked Malag over towards his wife, and as she kneeled down to hold him, she looked up to face the monster
"We have one infant child, and he's in the house." Cassa stated, noticing the smirk across the goon's face.
With the raise of his hand, he incinerated the entire house within seconds, while Malag watched in horror. The saiyan warrior, barely clinging to life, rose to his feet in anger and charged at the murderer of his only son, only to get slapped towards a tree. Cassa stood and charged a large beam of energy and launched it at the brute, whose own energy was enough to cancel the blast entirely.
"It was worth a shot." Cassa said as she was picked up by the throat by the big, pink enforcer who pierced her chest with a single laser from his finger. Malag couldn't believe this. His son and his wife are now dead, and he couldn't do anything about it.
"Y-You bastard!" Malag roared as he charged at his opponent.
"I'll make you pay for this!"
The anger that boiled inside the saiyan was mighty, and granted him a decent power boost, but it wasn't enough. The barbarian blitzed behind Malag, and snapped the warrior's neck, believing his job was finished.
"Dodoria to base, the saiyans have been eliminated, and the planet has been secured." Dodoria informed
"Let Lord Frieza know immediately."
He then flew off towards his ship that rested on the edge of the planet's atmosphere, leaving the planet to be claimed later. Deni, who had been hiding ever since the battle ensued, stood from where he was hiding with the son of the deceased saiyan couple.
"I'm sorry, young one." Deni sympathetically looked down to the infant
"Although the attack was sudden, your mother was capable of handing you over to me, making me promise to take care of you and to make sure you grow up to be strong, so that's what I plan to do."
Deni looked on to the sky, clutching on to the blanket that Cassa had gifted her son before they were separated.
"You'll grow up strong, and defeat the criminals that took your parents away from you, I promise that to you . . . Daikon."
