"So you have come to see me Checkerface." Tsuna greeted before turning back. Checkerface titled his head.
"So you know I will come." He stated. A glass of tea on his hand. Tsuna smiled as he walked over and sat in front of the man. They sat in silence.
"How long that you know?" Checkerface asked. Tsuna hummed.
"Since I come here." He said. He titled his head, eyes sharp and watching. "Since the start, everything had been strange. There's abnormalities left and right."
"Hmn." Checkerface hummed. "Since the start? Is that the famous Vongola intuition?"
"Half of it was Vongola intuition yes." Tsuna agreed. "Half of it speak from experience while the last was from conviction."
Checkerface put his tea down and folded his hand above his legs. "Conviction you said?"
"Conviction, yes." Tsuna said. A smile formed on his face. "As you know parallel world exist in difference and singularities. There're some things that stayed the same, yet some others that did not."
Tsuna looked on the window watching as the start of dawn coming. "I have been watching for some time, Checkerface, but I know that the core of everyone in this world stayed the same, bar some people."
He turned back to watch the masked man in front of him. "Just like how you will do anything to protect the tri-ni-sette."
Checkerface stared at the boy. He waved his hand and let his illusion crumble down. Kawahira nodded. "Indeed,"
Tsuna smiled, satisfied that his hunch all this time was not wrong. "I assume that you wanted my help, but not as a Vongola Sky, nor as Sawada Tsunayoshi, but as the Arcobaleno Sky. You call the other set, because I assume that there's requirement for me to come here. The only one who can call the Arcobaleno in action was-is the Arcobaleno Sky. However because I am a Vongola sky at the same time, you need the whole Vongola to come, because that's the requirement for Vongola."
Kawahira face show no emotions, but Tsuna could feel the tension seeped out from his body. "Ah, did my other self already said something to you?"
Tsuna shook his head in negative. "He didn't said anything. Typical you, he just sent me here tumbling and wandering around like a fool."
Kawahira chuckled. He pulled something from the sleeves of his Yukata and put them on the table between them. Tsuna stared at the Mare ring before looked up back at Kawahira. His thoughts passed through his eyes.
"Why?" He finally asked.
"A few eons ago, someone tampered with the tri-ni-sette, right before it was divided into three pieces, before it was only a stone." Kawahira started, not answering the question. "At that time, only me, Bermuda, Sephira and Illusia that still alive. I was appointed as the main watcher while the other become akin to my subordinate. Bermuda, as genius as he is, managed to create another flame that was not tied to the tri-ni-sette, and that is the eight flame. He built the Vindice and become the Uphold of Law and Judgment in mafia. Sephira was born with a sky flame along with his Shaman ability, including our special blood as earthling. And that left Illusia the youngest with the most mysterious abilities, the ability to create singularity."
Tsuna jerked on his seat. He stared at Kawahira as if waiting for the punchline and let out a huge breath when nothing come.
"That's… dangerous."
Kawahira nodded in agreement. "It is. I watched her the most, because she is the youngest, and also because she has the most dangerous ability between us. Not including with the tempered stone, it make me very cautious."
Kawahira sighed, and Tsuna was startled at how human Kawahira looked. "Then some decades later, we decided to split the stone and the tri-ni-sette was born. However because it had been tampered, it caused so many problem."
He stared inquisitively at Tsuna. "I assume that you know them."
"The arcobaleno succession." Tsuna mumbled. Kawahira nodded.
"The tri-ni-sette is important, they intertwined each other, but it was an unspoken rule that the arobaleno was the most importance with their tie to balance. The Mare and Vongola couldn't life with each other without the Arcobaleno to keep them in balance. The Vongola could life without the Mare as long as the Arcobaleno was there, the same could be said with the Mare."
"That's the reason why Byakuran was born at this time." Tsuna said in realization. "Not only Byakuran, but also my generation, Timoteo, even my father. To right the wrong, to restore the balance."
Tsuna closed his eyes then sighed. "Of course."
His eyes opened, then narrowed at Kawahira. "Then why 'Unknown'?"
"Because they are abnormalities." Kawahira said, putting down his tea with a loud thud. Tsuna looked confused.
"They are supposed to not exist in this world, or your world Tsunayoshi-kun. They didn't not exist in any parallel that was coming from the same singularity like ours" Kawahira explained.
"Abnormalities…" Tsuna trailed off. "You said supposed…."
"Yeah, but it was no more." Kawahira eyes was far.
"…The process of creating singularity." Tsuna finally understood. "Are you saying that this world, who supposed to come from the same singularity as my world, is splitting?"
"Yes." Kawahira stopped and waited.
"But it's not natural, artificial." Tsuna said slowly. "You suspect Illusia is the one behind all of this."
"No, we already know that." Kawahira said. "That's the reason why we decided to take the extreme decision."
"So you decided to sacrifice the arcobaleno." Tsuna stated blankly, his eyes was lit with fire and deprecation. Kawahira smiled was downright cold.
"I only doing what I need to do." He said then pushed the rings to Tsuna direction.
"That's why you need me." Tsuna said coldly. His aura was downright murderous. Kawahira chuckled as he clicked his hand.
"And there, you have your answer."
A burst of flame was shoot and the chair was aflame. Tsuna stared coldly at where Kawahira was supposed to be and gritted his teeth, watched as mist flame dispersed around him.
Xanxus looked up to the Vongola mansion. His eyes scanned the windows and stopped when he spotted a pair of burning fire staring back at him.
"Go search for Primo." He ordered without turning around. "Tell them what we found."
He left his elites behind and felt Squalo followed him. They walked through the lobby and to the second floor, passed through the servant before stopping in front of a nondescript door.
"Baby boss." He called out.
"Enter Xanxus."
Xanxus stared at Squalo, instantly know that something was wrong. He turned the doorknob and let the door swing inside. As he walked inside, he saw Tsuna was standing in front of the window, back facing them.
"Report." Tsuna ordered. Xanxus tensed at the murderous aura coming out from his Sky.
"We found the bodies. They are whole no sight of tempering." Xanxus stopped, although his counterpart self was dormant inside of him, they still awake and he still could feel the other feeling. "We have buried them in the family graveyard."
Squalo then stepped forward, on his hand were several documents that they managed to found in the base. "Boss we found this in that base."
"Give them to Primo." Tsuna turned around. Xanxus and Squalo stiffened seeing Tsuna expression.
"… Tsuna." Xanxus started, but stopped as Tsuna raised his hand.
"Later, after everyone here. I'll explain." He said. He took a deep breath and smiled at the two of them.
"Rest, Xanxus, you need it."
"Ah,"
"Oya?"
"…Ha, Hello Mukuro." Dino greeted the mist with a smiled. Mukuro chuckled lightly, his eyes watched Hibari's expression with hilarity.
"Hello to you too, Skylark-kun, Bucking Horse." Mukuro smirk creepily. Kyoya narrowed his eyes and raised his tonfa, ready to retaliate, but Dino put his hand on the cloud shoulder.
"We need to go back soon."
Kyoya clicked his tongue in annoyance then processed to pass Mukuro and walked to the Vongola Mansion. Dino sighed in exasperation then followed his junior. Mukuro chuckled along the way, his eyes glanced to his left and narrowed before following his fellow guardian.
"Xanxus is back." Dino said suddenly, his eyes was focused on his pager that was improved by Vongola technology which they brought when they came over.
"Oya? That was faster than we thought." Mukuro commented. Dino was scrolling down and a scowl formed on his face.
"Yeah," he nodded not saying anything. They passed through the gate without saying anything to the guards. They strode through the lobby and went straight to the second floor to where Tsuna's room was.
Dino stopped and knocked quietly. "Tsuna, we are back."
"You can come in, Dino-nii."
Dino opened the door and not surprised to find Xanxus and Squalo already there, lounging on the couch with a bottle of gin on their hand. He walked inside and went straight to sit beside Squalo. Kyoya went straight to the far end couch on the other side of the room, while Mukuro who get inside the last, closed the door and stood beside the door.
"Welcome back." Tsuna smiled at his guardians from where he was perched on windowsill. Dino smiled back and Kyoya grunted.
"Oya? So we are waiting for the marshmallow addict then." Mukuro titled his head. Tsuna shook his head.
"No, he's already here." The door opened just as Tsuna finished talking. Byakuran strode inside with easy gait, his hand was wrapped around a packet of marshmallow.
"Yuhu~ Tsuna-chan~ I'm back."
"Welcome back Byakuran." Tsuna greeted. He glanced at Mukuro, and mist flame spread around the room. Tsuna nodded then put down his foot on the floor, eyes watching his guardians.
"Let's continue our meeting, yes?"
A couple of figures walked out form the portal. Basil let out sigh of relief and greeted them. Spanner waved from behind him, with Irie who smiled in relief.
"Welcome back."
Hayato looked at his surrounding and nodded. "It's good to be back."
