Luna pretended she wasn't staring at Lucius' ass from across the room. She and Ginny were at yet another Malfoy party. She couldn't even remember what this one was about, maybe celebrating the peacocks' newest chick?
She pretended to listen as Ginny talked about something that had happened at practice, about some new move the team was working on. Luna, thankfully, was hopeless at remembering things about Quidditch and if Ginny asked her about it later, she'd claim she's forgotten.
It was hard to pay attention to anything when Lucius was standing there talking to Snape. Luna knew Snape knew she was staring. She knew he knew how she felt about Lucius, how she wanted to grab him by the puffy white sleeves of his button down shirt, push him against a wall in the East hallway, how she wanted to rip his shirt open and reveal his muscular body.
She smiled thinking about how it had to be the East wing. There's where the portraits of Lucius' ancestors were hung. She wanted them to see what she was doing to Lucius, wanted to audience as she made him cry for her touch, beg her to let him take her.
"You're not paying a bit of attention, are you?" Ginny asked, rolling her eyes as Luna pulled her attention back to her friend.
"Trying to? It's just, you know, wackspurts?" Luna said with a shrug. Ginny sighed.
"You're staring at him again."
"Maybe a little bit, kind of hard not to, I mean, that ass," Luna commented, giving it another quick glance.
"He fancies you too, did you know that?" Ginny asked.
"Really? I thought after Narcissa..."
"That he'd given up on love and finding his heart again?" Ginny asked, laughing loudly. A few people glanced her way.
"That's what he said in the article."
"He did, but that was months ago, and I know he's mentioned you a few times to Severus, who of course mentioned it to me in one of his long whining monologues about how even Lucius Malfoy blah blah blah," Ginny said, imitating the tone of her husband. "You should go talk to him."
"I want to do more than talk to him," Luna commented, a smirk crossing her face.
"Then go do that? I mean, I doubt you'd be the first witch to proposition him, although, you might be the first one to actually succeed."
Luna nodded.
"Fine, wish me luck," she stated, slipping off into the crowded room. She found herself standing next to Lucius. Snape glanced at her and made some excuse as to somewhere else he had to be.
"This is a lovely party," Luna commented, reaching up and brushing a strand of Lucius' blond hair from his shirt.
"It is, I was hoping you'd be here, Miss Lovegood."
"Call me Luna."
"In that case, please, call me Lucius. Severus mentioned that you were staring at me. Did you like what you saw?"
"Very much so," Luna answered, the image of ripping Lucius' shirt returning to the forefront of mind.
"It would be a crime if you didn't see a bit more of the manor, maybe," Lucius paused, leaned down to Luna's ear and whispered, "the East wing?"
Luna felt her face flush slightly.
"You're a legilimens?" Luna asked, unable to keep the shock from her voice.
"Severus is, and he could pick up your thoughts across the room, not that I'm complaining since he mentioned them to me and I think I would very much like to give you a tour?" he suggested, offering his arm to Luna. She nodded, giving him a smile as she took it and they slipped out of the crowded ball room towards the East wing of the manor to fulfill at least part of Luna's fantasy.
