"So, I tried to really get good matches, but it tends to be hard to know that you will fight in your 'normal' forms.
So I got against Starfire and Raven against Beast boy and the winner among the two teams will fight with cyborg." The leaders voice echoed through the room as everybody was quite. They all the walked to the area and stood face to their partners. All of them smirked - Well, everyone except for Raven. She only looked straight into beast boy's eyes. She really didn't want to fight. It was really hard to believe, no, impossible to believe that she actually hated fighting his members at this combat practice. Sure, she would throw beast boy out the window without and shame or guilt, but practice combat was different. It reminded her that there would definitely be a time where they have to fight themselves and also hurt themselves. And she really wouldn't want that, would she? Yes, she's cold and all but not as heartless as she always seems.
Cyborg sat on the bench feeling and presenting himself as the king. Well, he should, shouldn't he? After all he was the strongest with no powers. And even if he didn't have all that machine and robot on him he would be maybe even the best member of the team since he had lots of muscles. He felt bad for beast boy though.
Starfire blushed at Robin and Robin did the same. He was so stupid, right? Having his number one true love as combat partner. He would surely not focus and give his everything into the fight while Starfire crushes him. But he thought that he may have some nice moments with her during all that. Meanwhile beast boy stood infront of Raven. He was sure she was going to beat him up the best she could. He just winced at the thought of that. He knew that he was the most useless one in the team if he had no powers and that one battle showed him but everyone would just know. Just by his appearance. Only in his animal forms he was strong and had some specialty in it, but without his powers he can only be used as a door mat. A punching bag.
And of course, Starfire and Raven weren't the strongest either but certainly not weak. Beast boy was really sure that if Starfire would have no powers anymore she would still have the ability to hug him to death. And raven - well she was Raven. She is strong. Not that strong but she was strong.
"3...2...1...Titans go!" Robin yelled and made his first move at Starfire. A soft one as predicted.
Beast boy and Raven on the other hand waited a bit until their first move.
And the first hit came from beast boy. Sloppy. The punch wouldn't even have mad any damage if it hit her but she blocked him and twisted him and soon he was on the ground. The dizzy feeling and nauseous was there again. Really? At this moment out of all. He stood up stumbling and tried to flip her with no avail. Again she pushed him but when she looked he wasn't where she pushed him as he was behind her running towards her back. He jumped on the back trying to make her fall on the ground but that surprisingly didn't happen. Instead it looked like she had him in piggyback position so the only thing she did was bend forward so he would fall. If this would be a cartoon then there would be stars over his head. He quickly got up with a trick. Bad idea. He met the floor once again. At this point was dieying from laughter while Raven giggled a little. Even Robin and Starfire looked at them from their combat.
"Ay- ay BB are you- are you letting her win, or what?" He yelled between panting. Yup, he was having the time of his life.
And that's exactly what beast boy wanted. Even tho he was actually trying he couldn really beat. During the match he only got her on the ground two times. With a punch she clearly faked to not notice and one time with him flipping her. During the match there were times he lost focus and he would feel like throwing up but he kept going. At the end of the scene there was he, the green boy on the ground with raven with her hands on her hips smiling victoriously. But then she knelt down offering a hand. "Wow, that was soooo hard." She said sarcastically. Beast boy took her hand and got up with her help.
"W-well, I let you win! Next time it will be so hard for you you won't even get a chance!" He exclaimed with his index finger up in the air. Everyone giggled softly at that comment. Robin got up from his beaten and blushing form and walked forward to beast boy. Beast boy looked at him before panicking the slightest bit fearing he would say the worst but what he didn't accept him to do was talking to him words of proudness. "You did pretty well beast boy! I know it's hard for you but your tricks were nice and you did really great today... well exept for the part where you crossed the limit on the treadmill," beast boy scratched his neck for a second and giggled nervously. "and that could've ended really wrong, you know, escpecially when you almost fell. It gave us a near heart attack... but I think I'm just going to let you go with a warning because of how your tricks have improved." Robin looked at him sternly but then let a soft smile creep up his face. Beast boy smiled at him too but not that goofy grin this time but a smile they have never seen. A soft little smile that didn't show anything but gratitude and happiness. They were shocked to see that smile on his face. It made him look so soft. Like a child. His pupils and eyes big, his smile so gently, his cheeks chubby with a slight red tint on them looking ever so childlike him looking up at them. They never saw him smile like that which is why they were shocked and looked at him focused on his soft features with their mouths gaping a little.
When he stopped smiling they stopped looking at him too, well, exept for the member Raven. She looked at him still focused on him like he just had an important speech. A smile soon reached her was too.
"Well, I think we all, especially the dude who really tried hard today," cyborg looked at beast boy. "deserve some pizza from our favorite pizza place!" Cyborg smirked. While they all cheered and were already voting what flavour they wanted beast boy was innerly panicking. He did a lot, yes, but that did not mean he had to regain every kg and every single calorie he just lost, so it was definitely a no. The other titans already were on their way to the t-car when they noticed that beast boy was standing still and seemed to be deep in thought. "Friend, come on! You most deserve the taste of bread dough and melted cheese with the vegitarian topics!" Starfire said while pushing him to the rest. He stood cold for a second before thinking of any other lie.
"We'll actually star.. I'm really tired," he paused to fake a yawn. "I don't want to fall asleep there heh so I think I would rather head to bed and sleep a bit.." the titans looked at him with shock for a bit. "Umm, are you sure beast boy?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, we'll if you're going to miss me so much I can come with you guys but be aware of me maybe, I don't know, casually passing out on the way? Because I already feel like doing that right here. I'm tired" And no, the titans would of course not want that. And raven felt herself become extremely caring about him. "Yeah understandable, you did a lot today.. do you want me to carry you to bed?" She blurted out and was met with shocked faces staring at her as if she just said 'my favorite coulour is pink'.
" h-he just said he felt like he was going to pass out, okay?! Am I the only one not wanting him to just faint on the way to go8ng to his room?!" She was all red from embarrassment. Way too overprotective. Maybe it was the smile from earlier that made her do that. "Uhh, thanks for the offer Raven... but I think I can make it to my room myself " he smiled with a little red on his cheeks. Oh how blind they are. He then headed to his room while they headed to the pizza place. They didn't really have much suspicion set on him since they understood him. When they were out the tower beast boy started his next workout. It was 8 pm and he just grabbed his earbuds, phone and water battle and started working out. The first one was from a girl on YouTube that had a good toned body with the title. "Lose 1 KG just with this workout *SHOCKING RESULTS*" he clicked on it and soon his ears were bombed with the woman's loud voice. He followed the workout really well. It was a 1 hour workout for every area to lose weight. He didn't really expect to lose 1 kg just by doing that even though it was really difficult so he decided to put the video on 1.75x and did the same workout again. Then another time with a speed of 1.5x. And another one with 1.5x. He panted and felt extremely nauseous. The sight in his eyes was blurry and he was shacking. He did some other workouts too one for arms, one for the legs, one for just the upper body and one that said "EXTREME WORKOUT CHALLENGE (INTENSE WEIGHTLOSS)". That one was the longest workout because one workout was 1 hour long. So he was working out for a quite long time. Or more exact for 4 hours. But time went by faster than it seems. He just couldn't wait to wake up tommorow and weigh himself. But he wasn't done. He wanted more. He needed more. The burning in his body gave him a satisfaction and a feeling of relief and joy. So he spent antother 3 hours perfecting his tricks and working out more. But soon the soothing feeling of satisfaction and comfort switched to nausea and complete dizziness. He felt overly faint as he felt himself swaying left and right. He tried to grab something that could make him steady but when he didn't find anything he fell from all the spinning that was suddenly in the room. The only thing that he heard afterwards was the loud thud and sound of ringing in his ears. There he was the sweaty, pale boy on the ground.
