Lucas felt the breeze through the window, it wasn't chilly just a slight gust of wind. He heard some noise coming from the other side of the bed, he turned to his wife who was 39 weeks pregnant she was due any day now.

"Good morning," he said in a sleepy voice.

"Good morning," she said groaning

"Did you get any sleep last night?"

Elizabeth sat up "A little, I just couldn't get comfortable"

Lucas grinned "Soon sweetheart I promise, you will be able to sleep."

Elizabeth leaned back to kiss him "I'll meet you downstairs, could you please get Jack up?

"Lucas gave a smile "of course, I'll make breakfast"

Elizabeth left the room and went down to take her vitamins and pills. Lucas got out of bed and put some clothes on, afterwards he headed to the bathroom to fix up his hair that was pointed in all different directions. He made his way into Jack's bedroom the 4 year old boy was still asleep.

"Jack buddy, it's time to get up." He put his hand on Jack's abdomen and rubbed it until he popped his eye open.

"Good morning papa," he said with a grin on his face, Lucas smiled back.

"I'm gonna make some breakfast then we are gonna head to the saloon for a bit are you up for that?"

Jack smiled excitedly "Yes buddy!" He yelled. Lucas burst into laughter.

"Pick out your clothes so we can get dressed to go."

Jack picked out a nice white shirt with some overalls that had shorts. It was a nice day out so he didn't want Jack to be too warm. He took him downstairs Elizabeth was laying on the couch so before Lucas started breakfast he gave her a massage while Jack played with his toys.

"Thank you sweetheart" she stated as he headed to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"For what?"

"For helping me and Jack. I'm gonna repay you when this baby is born"

Lucas gave a grin and walked back to her taking her hand so she could get up. He pulled her into his embrace "I am doing what I need to for my family. And you're giving me a baby, that makes me the happiest man"

Elizabeth adjusted her hands to his chest and blushed "and I hope we can keep adding to the family…"

"I would love nothing more" he leaned down and gave her a nice passionate kiss on her lips.

After Lucas made breakfast for the two people he loved most he and Jack headed to the saloon to check up on a few things. Jack was helping Lucas greet people, which he was very good at! And he helped clean the tables with Lucas. After a bit, Jack and Lucas bumped into Henry so they were talking for a bit before they headed home. Henry was telling Jack stories mostly of the magic in hope valley, Jack would laugh and giggle which made the two men also laugh!

Still sitting in the saloon Lucas heard the saloon door open and Florence came rushing through "Lucas!" She yelled. Lucas stood up "what's wrong Florence?"

"Elizabeth! Hospital! Baby!" Lucas got worried "what?!"

"Elizabeth is in the hospital having the baby!!!"

Lucas slowly started to panic "she's in labour! Right now????"

"Yes!"

Lucas started pacing and Henry got up to pat Lucas's back.

"go man!"

"Right!" Lucas said taking Jack's hand. "Good luck!" Henry yelled as he and Little Jack rushed out.

Lucas couldn't head to the hospital right away considering he had little Jack so he decided to go home to get a change of clothes for him and Elizabeth and then drop Jack off with Lee and Rosemary. He headed to the hospital still anxious and apprehensive. As he arrived he opened the door and Elizabeth was just starting.

"Welcome, Lucas!" Faith said as he came in.

"No baby?"

"No, not yet she's only 7 centimetres dilated." Lucas was in relief he had a bit more time to prepare but he was still nervous.

As time passed by it was getting to the point Elizabeth was gonna start pushing, Lucas decided he wanted to be in the room beside her. "Are you two ready?" Faith asked.

"I've never been more ready…" Lucas started grabbing Elizabeth's hand so she could squeeze it.

"Are you alright my love?" he asked softly.

"Yes I am, darling" she grinned at him and kissed him on his cheek.

"Alright Elizabeth time to start pushing." Faith said. Lucas was beside Elizabeth's head and had her hand in his still. As she started to push Lucas was closing his eyes and sweating but he was nervous for Elizabeth and the baby as well.

It wasn't long before the baby was delivered, Elizabeth pushed once more and Lucas heard the tiny cry of his little prince Or princess. Faith cleaned up the baby and Lucas was almost in tears waiting impatiently to see the baby.

"It's a girl!" Faith said enthusiastically.

Lucas was ecstatic "really it is!" Elizabeth chuckled

"Yes sweetheart, it is!" Faith brought over the baby.

"Lucas?" She said softly bringing the baby wrapped in a white blanket over to him. Lucas looked at his sweet baby girl and picked her up in his arms. He gently put his finger to get face and in her little hands

"she's perfect," he said.

After a while of both of them cooing over the baby, they were completely in awe. Lucas sat beside Elizabeth as she took her baby into her arms she was smiling and blushing at the same time. She couldn't believe her and the man she was gonna love forever just brought another tiny human into the world!

"You did amazing sweetheart," Lucas said leaning into her, Elizabeth didn't hesitate she pressed her lips to his and had a nice passionate kiss.

"I love you," she said, Lucas smiled "I love you too." Lucas put his finger into the baby's hand and sat there for a bit.

The next day Lucas and Elizabeth were still in love with their daughter but they also couldn't wait to show Jack, he was gonna be so excited! They packed up their things and waited for Faith to give them the "okay" to go and they got out of there. They put the baby into the car seat and Lucas put he in the back and strapped her in as Elizabeth got into the passenger seat. They drove home and as soon as they pulled into the driveway Jack came bolting toward them.

"Hey, buddy!" Lucas said picking Jack up and throwing him into the air. Elizabeth hugged Rosemary and then kissed Jack on the head.

Lucas went over to the car "Jack are you ready to meet your little sister?"

Jack smiled "yes! Big yes!" He exclaimed Lucas smiled and so did Elizabeth. Lucas brought out the tiny baby and placed the car seat on the doorstep. Jack, Rosemary and Lee gathered around to look at the small baby girl sitting in the seat.

"She's so tiny!" Jack said.

Rosemary laughed "your gonna get to be a role model for her as she grows Jack!"

Jack giggled "yay!" Lucas put his arm around Elizabeth and kissed her on the temple of the head watching the 3 of them coo and swoon over the new baby.

Jack swung himself around to face them "does she have a name momma? Buddy?"

Rosemary and Lee faced them too

"yes Jacks right, you never said a name?" Elizabeth looked at Lucas and smiled

"We have... Lucas, would you like to do the honours?"

"Of course my love" he walked over to them and took the baby out of her seat "I would love you all to meet Grace Juliet Bouchard"

Rosemary beamed "that's a wonderful name!"

"It sure is!" Lee agreed.

Lucas walked over with Grace and stood by Elizabeth, Jack came running.

"momma up!" Elizabeth picked Jack up into her arms "it's the perfect name for a perfect little princess"

"That it is.." Lucas said as he leaned in giving her a deeply passionate kiss on the lips.
