Roses. Lucius couldn't believe his eyes at the sight of Luna, soon to be his Luna, walking down the aisle carrying a bouquet of roses. They were too common, too traditional. They contrasted with the sunshine yellow dress she wore. It was strapless with a heart shaped neckline lined in gold.

The hem of the skirt, also lined in gold, came just past her knees, which was where the laces of her golden sandals tied. Her hair was loose around her face which sparkled as she moved and a pair of large red earrings dangled from her ears. Lucius knew they were in the shape of radishes. He'd been the one to give them to her after all. Still, the roses just seemed so out of place in her gloved hands.

They did coordinate with her dress, being shades of yellow and red with a few golden ones mixed in. He still couldn't believe she was carrying roses. She reached him, handing the bouquet to Ginny. The binding part of the ceremony started with Lucius pledging himself, heart and soul to Luna. She pledged herself to him, heart and soul. The bond was sealed with a kiss so powerful Lucius felt the magic wash over him and his new wife.

Once they separated, Luna took back her bouquet and looked out at the audience that had gathered to see them bound. The front row of white chairs was empty save for the golden name plates placed upon them. Lucius smiled looking at them. Those seats had been reserved for those who could not be there, those who were no longer with them on this plane. Lucius looked back to Luna, taking her arm in his.

Together they started back down the scarlet carpeted aisle. Luna paused, turning to one of the empty seats. Lucius paused with her, watching as she placed one of the golden roses on the seat with the name plate, Pandora Lovegood. Luna then turned back to Lucius and they resumed walking until they had reached the back of the room.

"Roses, my Luna?" Lucius finally asked, adjusting his golden tie. He had looked dapper for the ceremony, but there was no rule stating he must look the same for the upcoming reception.

"They always were Mum's favorite," Luna replied, tears sparkling in her eyes. "I said once when I was very young I would carry them on my wedding day for her. And here we are," she added, giving Lucius a warm smile. He reached out and wiped the tears from Luna's eyes.

"Yes, here we are," he agreed, taking her on his arm again as they stepped out to greet the media who had gathered and to make their way to their reception.
