A single bright light shines down on to the center of the stage illuminating a singular figure. Mic in hand they state loudly, "it's finally time to see who the best of the best is here at the eterna city contest hall!"

The crowd erupts in uproarious cheers and yells.

"over the last three nights you've watched as challengers vie for the top spot in their respective ranks, all for the hopes of facing one of the best contest coordinators in all of sinnoh. Hot battles and even hotter moves have brought together three fantastic finalists. I introduce to you, brayden and their charming cincinno winner of the normal rank!"

A young man in a white suit, gigantic fluffy scarf around his neck matching the magnificent tail of his cincinno appears in lights behind the announcer.

"winner of the super rank contest and undefeated in her rank, daisy and her glamourous glaceon!"

Amid intense clapping and cheers daisy appears on the stage wearing a glimmering dress that looked as if it were made of ice crystals, she looked incredibly focused and undeterred by the intense pressure of being on stage, her glaceon seems to be matching her look of readiness and determination.

"last but not least, from the hyper rank contest challenge we have lilith and her hardworking hatterene."

The third competitor appears under a new point of light, a shimmer is falling around them as hatterene spreads some sort of glittering dust around their trainer. Lilith was standing tall in a pink and purple layered dress while sporting a large brimmed witch's hat.

"all three of these brilliant battlers are here for a singular purpose! They all wish to see if they have what it takes to take down the dazzling dawn and her precocious partner piplup!"

A rainbow of lights all converge on in front of the three challengers revealing dawn, shining brightly in her silvery dress arms raised to the crowd accepting their praise and adulation, piplup was by her feet twirling around its own arms up in the air matching dawns pose.

"let's go over the rules for tonight's show down. Our show will consist of three one on one contest battles. The first pairings will be randomly determined and once completed the winners of each battle will throw down in out finale! All moves will be reviewed by our panel of judges and points will be deducted depending on their style and effectiveness. At the end of five minutes, or once only one pokemon is left standing, the coordinator with the most points will be declared the victor."

"our judges panel consists of nurse joy of the pokémon center, Mr. sukizo of the pokémon fan club and fantina, hearthome city's previous gym leader!"

The judges panel glows brightly from behind revealing a trio of panelists waving at the crowd and contestants, ready to declare the final victor.

"now, let's find out who will face who in the first round of contest battles!" the announcer points to a large set of screens with pictures of all four trainers quickly shuffling across them. Just like a slot machine from the celadon game corner two pairings emerged.

"the first match up will be brayden against dawn, and for our second match lilith will take on daisy. Now trainers, get ready for the battle to end all battles!"

The gathered watchers are in a frenzy as the hall lights come back up and brayden and dawn take opposing sides on the contest stage. A timer appears on the screen along with a life meter for each challenger to show how many points they have remaining from the battle.

Up in their private box, ash and misty are on the edges of their seats as they watch the scene unfold in front of them.

"I had no idea that contest battles were like this!" ash exclaims watching as dawn and brayden readied themselves.

"the people watching are all going crazy for this, even my heart is racing. I can't wait to see how this all turns out!"

Brayden has won the advantage in a pre-match coin toss and makes his first move urging his cincinno to use sunny day. Cincinno shines brightly almost becoming blindingly white, it's fur glistening it starts spinning in place. Dust that had previously been stuck in its fur from its dust baths floated up around it in a cloud sparkling like a glitter cloud as it reflected the light from its body.

Undeterred dawn ordered piplup to use its bubble beam, surrounding cincinno in a flurry of bubbles which all popped in unison dousing the dust cloud causing it to lose its luster taking an early lead. Cincinno uses baby doll eyes to try and distract piplup but it doesn't prevent a massive whirlpool to erupt from below them catching cincinno in its funnel making it unable to act on its next turn and instantly brayden's points drop by half.

Dawn asks piplup to jump into the whirlpool and upon doing so perform a drill peck. Spinning extremely fast piplup rides the whirling waters towards its center where cincinno flounders helplessly unable to dodge the blue missile heading towards it. With amazing power piplup collides with cincinno send it flying across the stage as the whirlpool fades and crashes against the ground piplup at its center ready for its next action but it's no longer necessary, cincinno is no longer able to battle and with only 1 minute having passed dawn is declared the victor of the first match. Dawn's fans howl with approval as she waves up at them.

"what a knock out folks! I can only hope that the rest of our matches are as captivating as this one! Let's all give brayden a round of applause for trying his best shall we? Even though he and cincinno didn't make it very far tonight, it's clear by his performance in the normal rank contest earlier this week that they've got something special. I'll look forward to seeing more from them in the future!"

The crowd applauds as the stage crew resets the floor for the next round, judges confer amongst themselves making notes, and daisy approaches the contest stage along with lilith.

Daisy takes the advantage in this fight as she directs glaceon to use iron tail. It runs full speed toward the towering for of hatterene and leaps high into the air hoping to land a direct hit on its target but a bright flash erupts from hatterene as it uses dazzling gleam and glaceon tumbles towards the ground only barely keeping itself upright.

Daisy urges glaceon to withdraw and keep its distance, losing a small amount of points in the process as hatterene readies its next attack. Lilith order hatterene to use disarming voice and without hesitation daisy responds. Glaceon shimmers with a beautiful icy sheen as it rushes forward at its attacker, now protected with by mirror coat the loud screaming hatterene lets out is blasted right back at it dealing massive damage.

Hatterene stunned daisy takes advantage and orders another iron tail. Glaceon lashes out powerfully and lands a direct blow, knocking hatterene roughly to the ground and out of the fight, lilith drops to her knees in disappointment, hopes crushed at facing dawn in the finale.

"damaged but not down daisy topples her opponent with a ferocious flurry, Daisy moves on to our final match! Let's hear it for our two challengers while we take a quick break!"
