If your attention span is too short I'll get to the brass tacks, Awry is being put on a hiatus for the foreseeable future.
But why? Well, with a bit of help and a couple days of thinking, I realize I didn't start this story right.
I didn't plan, and I wasn't patient, I hadn't even considered making an outline or holding off on posting chapters till they were at their best. This has led to some letdown chapters, and while I know there are good ones in the story it doesn't hold up to the standards I've had for myself that grew since I started.
With that in mind, as well as a slow trickle on the creativity front, I am turning my eyes elsewhere to allow myself a reprieve as well as to give myself a chance to approach it with a fresh mindset.
I will not be abandoning Awry, far from it, many of you greatly enjoy the story itself, and for that I am overjoyed. So I will come back, but I'm giving myself the opportunity to grow further as a writer before I try to approach such a topic again.
To an extent, you can consider me AWOL, I probably won't be posting anything for a hot minute, but I will still be writing.
If you feel the need to pester me, whether it is general questions, story updates, or Awry specifically, feel free to find me on the Emerald Library discord server, where I may not respond right away but I will respond at some point. You can also find tons of authors far better than I there, so plenty of chances to see something new.
