Jade: Hello readers, how are you? Let's cut straight to the point. Junior has gone offline. Kinda.

He is back at his institute for the first time since covid. But unfortunately his hostel's LAN isn't working. All the chapters till now were already written. And fret not, there are still a few chapters that need to be refined and I will post them. But until Junior comes online, newer chapters won't be frequent.

One more thing is that, Junior will still see your replies and requests. But if he has to write, he has to write stories on mobile, which he is still doing, thus the snail pace.

Hope you guys don't mind and like the stories.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to pokemon.

Without further ado, let's take off.

"Welcome to the ever grande conference. We are now with our top 8 contestants. Just one step away from quarterfinals." The commenter announced from his booth.

"And now, let's welcome the first match in the top 8. The winner will be the first to qualify to quarter finals. So, without any delay let us welcome them to the field." The announcer once again shouted enthusiastically with the crowd roaring in reply.

"On the left side, we have Tyson Tetsuya, of Mauville city."

Tyson came out from the left side, waving his hands.

"On the right side, we have Ash Ketchum of Pallet town."

Ash entered the field with him and Pikachu waving their hands.

May and Max waved back from their seats.

When the two trainers reached the middle, the referee downed his flags and started explaining the rules.

"This is an official league 6 on 6 full battle, with substitutions allowed. When three pokemon on either side are unable to battle, the battlefield changes and stays till the end of match. When all pokemon on one side are unable, the standing trainer is Victor. Do you understand?" The referee asked, with both contestants nodding. The referee upped his flags to horizontal and downed them.

The trainers shook each other's hands and went to their respective positions.

The battlefield opened up as rocky terrain came into view.

"The battlefield is a rocky field, easy to skid and hard to sped without crashing into rocks. Let's see how this bodes." The announcer was met with a roar of anticipation.

"Go Shiftry." Tyson released his shiftry.

"Torkoal, I chose you." Ash declared.

"Battle begin." The referee called.

"Shiftry faint attack." Tyson called.

Shiftry's hands glowed to dark brown, almost black color as Shiftry charged towards Torkoal, gaining speed.

"Brace yourself, Torkoal." Ash ordered.

Torkoal did as said just before Shiftry became a blur of shadow and striked Torkoal from behind.

"Flamethrower." Ash ordered.

Torkoal turned and unleashed his flamethrower just as Shiftry hopped back.

"Use Aerial ace." Tyson ordered.

Even as the flamethrower connected, Shiftry powered through and sliced the attack with Aerial ace, protecting itself.

But Ash grinned and ordered "Overheat.".

Torkoal immediately charged the flamethrower into an overheat. The Overheat was strong enough to knock Shiftry off its feet to a few feet.

"Use giga drain." Tyson called.

"Flamethrower" Ash called.

Torkoal charged another flamethrower at Shiftry, who was getting up. But Shiftry once again gritted through and started the giga drain, weakening Torkoal. But Torkoal too didn't give up and kept the fire.

It soon became a battle of wills, but unfortunately for Tyson, the type chart was, for once, on Ash's side.

"Shiftry is unable to battle." The referee declared.

"Thanks Shiftry. That is a strong torkoal you got Ash. But I don't think it will last long, go Donphan." Tyson called his Donphan.

Donphan stared down Torkoal and raised his trunk shouting out as Torkoal released a lot of translucent smoke as a challenge.

"Donphan use rollout." Tyson called.

"Iron defense." Ash called.

Just as Donphan charged with a rollout, Torkoal tucked into its shell and a white sheet of metal enveloped Torkoal. Donphan's rollout just bounded off the defensive layer as a blue aura surrounded Torkoal, indicating the increase in defense power.

Donphan came back charging at Torkoal once again.

"Now use body slam." Ash called.

Torkoal propelled itself into the air and met Donphan in a head-on collision. The collison knocked Donphan out of its attack while Torkoal skidded back due to increased defenses.

"Donphan, use sandstorm." Tyson called.

"Return torkoal." Ash said as he recalled Torkoal just after the sandstorm reached him. "Swellow, I chose you."

Swellow came out, completely unaffected by the sandstorm.

"Perfect, now rollout." Tyson ordered.

"Why did Ash bring in Swellow against Donphan who knows rollout?" Max asked.

"Double team." Ash ordered.

Swellow set up double team but Donphan started charging at all the copies hitting each one, a few copies causing Donphan to crash into rocks but Donphan continued its assault.

"It is bcoz both of them fight alike. They never back down from challenges. Moreover, if you can't hit, type doesn't matter." Brock explained.

"Now, complete the Aerial ace." Ash ordered as the rollout ended.

Tyson blinked as Swellow came down from above upon Donphan, spinning and aided by the sandstorm itself. The force of attack caused Donphan to cry out, and even kick up air currents that disrupted the ongoing sandstorm too.

"Horn attack" Tyson ordered, as the sandstorm started to falter.

Donphan charged its tusks and attacked Swellow.

"Quick attack." Ash countered.

Swellow immediately surrounded itself with white energy and flew above, while the sandstorm dissipated. Then Swellow charged at Donphan.

Donphan's raw power clashed with Swellow's raw speed, causing both pokemon to be thrown backwards.

After a few seconds, no one rose.

"Donphan and Swellow are unable to battle." Referee declared.

"Swellow return." Ash called back his injured Swellow. "You did great, thanks buddy. Go Corphish."

"Thanks for the amazing battle buddy. Go, Sceptile." Tyson called his Sceptile.

"Ash bought out his corphish now? Against a sceptile? This can make everything Ash worked go to ashes. What is he thinking?" Max exclaimed.

"Relax Max, Ash must have a plan. He is never a dumb one in his league battles." May pointed out.

"Sceptile, Bullet Seed." Tyson called.

"Swords Dance." Ash smiled.

Corphish tucked its pincers inwards and started rotating rapidly, causing the bullet speed to bounce off the shield. Exactly replicating Bugsy's Swords dance technique.

But when the second wave of bullet seed came, Ash called, "Bubble beam and get closer."

Corphish started gliding across the battlefield, expertly avoiding the bullet seed.

"Sceptile, move around and use bullet seed." Tyson ordered.

Sceptile too started to hop around and fired its attacks.

Ash could see that neither pokemon are gaining an inch but Corphish is having hard time keeping up. He needs to do something.

"Corphish, crabhammer the rocks." Ash ordered.

Corphish jumped up and slammed its crabhammer onto the nearby rocks, projecting them towards Sceptile.

"Sceptile, turn the tables, Crush claw." Tyson ordered.

Sceptile charged his claws and caught onto the incoming rocks and swirled them back at the incoming rocks at double speeds. Even though outnumbered, the speed helped the rocks tear through the incoming barrage, causing stone splinters to fly around. Scpetile continued swinging back the rocks, but while swirling another rock, the following barrage was closer than Sceptile anticipated, causing the rocks to collide at point blank range, kicking up a dust cloud.

"Bubblebeam." Ash called.

"Stay focused." Tyson ordered.

Corphish hopped onto a higher rock and started shooting its bubblebeam but Corphish's attack seemed to not connect.

"Crush claw" Tyson ordered.

Sceptile came out of the dust, a few feet east to Corphish and charged its crush claw.

"Vice grip." Ash ordered.

Corphish opened its pincers and caught Sceptile's crush claw in its claw, thanks to attack boost, reducing the blow.

"Solar beam." Tyson called.

Sceptile, while panting, collected solar energy on his back. It seemed those bubblebeam did hit back there.

"Yeet Sceptile with vice grip." Ash ordered.

Corphish proceeded to literally yeet Sceptile off its feet, by holding onto its arm and swinging it around in a circle and flung it to one of the rocks.

Sceptile was completely groggy due to the swirling but focused and blasted the collected solar energy at Corphish.

"Use crabhammer and protect yourself." Ash ordered.

Tyson was truly in for a show of how strong a sword dance boosted crabhammer is as he witnessed Corphish standing his ground against the solarbeam with his crabhammer ahead.

But unfortunately, Sceptile forgot about the rock it was to collide with. Hence the attack ended as Sceptile collided and slumped to ground.

"Vice grip." Ash ordered.

"Detect." Tyson ordered, keen on not being yeeted this time.

Sceptile detected the move and dodged it.

"Crabhammer." Ash ordered.

"Crush claw and hold in the right pincer." Tyson commanded.

Sceptile charged his crush claw and took hold of Corphish's right crabhammer, holding it in the air. Corphish flailed to hit Sceptile as it was not near enough.

"Solarbeam" Tyson called.

"Corphish quickly use bubble beam on the arm." Ash ordered.

Sceptile braced the attack on his arm as it kept on charging his solarbeam. Ash couldn't think of anything to get out as Corphish was immobile in the present position.

"Crabhammer on the arm." Ash called.

Sceptile couldn't hold any more and released Corphish but before it could reach ground, Sceptile fired the solar beam onto Corphish. Corphish was flung into a rock due to force of attack.

"Corphish is unable to battle." The referee called after the attack ended and Corphish fell, unconscious.

Sceptile was heavily panting.

"Thanks for the amazing battle Corphish." Ash called. "Let's end this, go Torkoal."

"Return Sceptile. Go Hariyama." Tyson switched into Hariyama.

"Torkoal, flamethrower." Ash ordered.

"Hariyama Arm thrust." Tyson called.

Hariyama pushed forward his arms and blocked the flamethrower. He then proceeded to alternate between arms and kept on thrusting forwards towards Torkoal.

"Woah, that Hariyama is strong." May said.

"Thick fat May. Most hariyama have a thick fat ability that reduces the damage from fire and ice types." Max explained.

When Ash saw that Hariyama was nearing, he knew Torkoal would be caught off-guard.

"Body slam." Ash called.

Torkoal stopped his Flamethrower and flung himself into the air. He then came down upon Hariyama.

"Vital throw" Tyson called once Torkoal landed on Hariyama.

Hariyama initially faltered from the mass crashing on him, but then took hold of Torkoal and yeeted him away towards the walls.

"Iron defense" Ash called before Torkoal hit the wall.

Torkoal tucked himself in and braced for impact. Torkoal bounced off the wall, making a dent on it in the process and crashed into Earth spinning. He slowly got out and was shaking away the dizziness.

"Focus punch." Tyson called.

"Torkoal, Overheat." Ash called.

Torkoal shook his head a few more times before he focused and shot Overheat on Hariyama.

Even when burnt Hariyama powered through and proceeded to slash at Overheat with his focus punch.

The focus punch was strong enough to push back Torkoal a few feet, with Torkoal skidding along the ground on its hindlegs alone.

'That's one resilient Torkoal. He is trying to stall the match with defenses.' Tyson thought.

"Now, use flamethrower." Ash called.

Torkoal fired his flamethrower, but Hariyama seemed completely unaffected due to thick fat and Overheat reducing Flamethrower power.

"Smelling salt." Tyson called.

Hariyama powered through the Flamethrower and landed the hit, causing Torkoal to faint. But after a second, flames engulfed Hariyama. Hariyama was burnt.

"Thanks for the help Torkoal." Ash recalled.

"And there you have it. Tyson is still ahead of Ash, but by a very close margin. This could be interesting folks. So go on and grab your drinks bcoz battlefield is gonna change as 3 pokemon on Ash's side fainted." The commenter announced.

Back in the rooms for the contestants, Ash met up with his friends.

"That was an awesome battle, Ash." Max said, "Although, I still didn't get why you would go for Corphish way earlier. And that too against a type that is weak too?"

"Hey, don't talk like that. Ash is doing great. He may be behind Tyson but he is very close." May encouraged. "Don't you have anything to say Brock?"

But Brock, the oldest companion of Ash, was in deep thinking.

And Ash smiled upon seeing Brock, "So, it will work huh?" Ash asked.

"That is ingenious Ash." Brock said, breaking into a smile.

May and Max looked in between them. And at each other with looks of pure confusion.

"Are we missing anything?" May asked.

"Is this related to Tyranitar?" Max asked bluntly.

"Wait for it." Ash said. "For now, the break is over."

Ash got up and left the room.

"Brock, please tell me what Ash is upto?" May pleaded.

Brock's smile grew bigger and he said "Come on,we don't want to miss the match."

May and Max grumbled, but followed them.

Back at the battlefield, the terrain is a grass field.

"Trainers bring out your pokemon." The referee called.

"Come out Metagross." Tyson called.

Ash just smirked.

"Go, Tyranitar." Ash sent out his own pseudo legendary.

"Don't choke on your drinks as we have a showdown between pokemons considered next to legendary, Pseudo-legendary." The commenter shouted.

"Why is he showing off all of his tricks first?" Max was pulling his hair out.

"This will play out quite differently, just wait and see." Brock said.

Ash was finally happy to bring Tyranitar to battle. Ever since he came out of the egg, Larvitar loved to watch his training and would sometimes join in. Of course, the training had to be toned heavily for Larvitar, but phanpy always tagged in and they still enjoyed it. They bonded quite well over their battles and he understood why Larivatar wanted to get stronger after the unown incident.

Larvitar was scared. He wanted to learn how to fight to defend himself, to be strong enough to save his own mom. But even though he was scared from his experiences, he worked to train and Ash did his best to let Larvitar become stronger.

When Larvitar was able to free team rocket captured pokemon with his hidden power, the brief joy on his face and the enthusiasm he had for the next few days paralleled his after winning orange league.

But the best part was when Larvitar was able to free it's mother using his hidden power and attack alongside her. The unbridled joy caused him to hop all over the place. That smile on his face was something Ash always cherished.

But when they had to part ways, Ash promised the torn Larvitar that he would come back for him after 3 seasons. And even though Ash is in hoenn, he sent his johto team with the help of Prof. Oak to search for Larvitar. And Ash found out yesterday that Larvitar had evolved all the way to Tyranitar and Ash was completely giddy.

And Tyranitar was very strong. Both of them trained all night understanding each others' progress. And now Tyranitar is roaring to go.

"Metagross, use metal claw." Tyson ordered.

Metagross charged his claws and speed towards Tyranitar, who looked ready to take upon the challenge. Yet another thing that changed after evolution. Tyranitar has grown proud of his strength and Metagross is gonna taste that.

Metagross raised his hand to strike when he was near enough but Tyranitar caught his hand. Tyranitar wasn't very fast, but he more than made it up with his stamina. The impulse from stopping the attack created wind currents that kicked up some dirt. But Tyranitar roared as he called the sandstorm.

"Fire punch." Ash called.

Before Metagross could retaliate or escape he was given a strong fire punch to his underside. At the same time, Tyranitar turned his hand sharply, effectively tossing around Metagross..

Being thrown into a rock, Metagross was dizzy before he set himself straight.

"Crunch." Ash called.

While Metagross just oriented himself, he was met with a crunch to face and tossed aside again, but this time he oriented himself quickly.

"Meteor Mash." Tyson ordered.

"Rock slide." Ash countered.

Tyranitar gathered many rocks around him and immediately threw them on Metagross. But Metagross punched through all the rocks and proceeded to punch Tyranitar, who stood like a beast.

'What in the name of mew is this?' Tyson was internally freaking out when Tyranitar wasn't even grunting from the attack.

"Fire punch." Ash called and Tyranitar met punch to punch with Metagross's powered fist. The resulting impact caused the sandstorm itself to disorient for a second as both the pokemon stood strong.

But when Tyson looked back, flames engulfed Metagross. That is the second pokemon to be burned. But at the same time, a red aura rose around him, signaling the attack boost.

"Use psychic and chuck some rocks on Tyranitar." Tyson ordered, seeing that physically this Tyranitar looks untouchable.

"Use rock slide to deflect them." Ash countered.

Metagross used his psychic and made the rocks into projectile shapes and hurled them in waves, strategically aiming them to hit. But all the while Tyranitar was just wildly chucking rock slides at the incoming ones. Tyranitar even caught some and used them as a bat to counterstrike some others like a pro baseball player.

'What on Earth is this? This thing is a freaking beast no doubt.' Tyson thought.

"Wow, I don't know where you caught it, but it lives up to its name Ash." Tyson exclaimed.

"Wow, I thought Tyranitar was strong but this puts my dad's slaking without Truant to shame." Max exclaimed.

"That is bcoz of where it grew up." Brock said.

"Wait, is the myth about Pokemon of too strong to catch true?" May asked.

"Mt. Silver is known for its harsh weather and strong pokemon. You can bet all you want that any pokemon that evolves there will be as strong as they can get." Brock said.

May and Max were amazed. Tyranitar was moving like the strong Alpha it is, the sandstorm adding another dramatic effect to him.

"Crunch now." Ash ordered now that Tyranitar was nearby.

"Metal claw." Tyson ordered. Metagross understood what Tyson said and stuffed his metal claw charged arm into Tyranitar's mouth, letting the steel type attack minimize the damage. But they clearly underestimated his Jaw power.

"Toss it off." Ash ordered.

Tyranitar bit so strong that Metagross lost control of his metal claw and Tyranitar just shook his jaw and tossed Metagross into the ground another time as if it was a tree branch.

"Hyper beam." Tyson called. He clearly didn't want to stay put in front of this monster but it was incredibly strong.

"Use rock slide." Ash countered.

Tyranitar chucked some rocks at the incoming hyper beam but the beam powered through and hit Tyranitar who was standing, with arms crossed.

And when the hyper beam ended, Tyranitar roared again, standing strong. Tyson just gulped.

'This is not a pokemon a kid should have. This is insane, just what pokemon did he even use to catch this? Does he have them on the waiting list after this?' Tyson thought.

"Use hidden power." Ash smirked, with a hint of smugness. And Tyranitar had the same smile, but on it, the smile looked terrifying enough to give leer a run for its money.

Then, Tyranitar started to glow as multiple white blobs started to flow around and Metagross too glowed white and was lifted off the ground. Then Tyranitar roared as it shot forward the white balls like bullets on Metagross.

"Woah, so that is Tyranitar's fourth move?" Max asked, "I thought it was something like Hyper Beam or Earthquake or or …"

"Relax. That is Tyranitar's first move. And it gives a decent coverage, because it turns into a ground type." Brock explained as he smirked.

"Wait that should mean" Max said as he looked at the field.

After the attack, the sandstrom ended and Metagross fainted.

"Metagross is unable to battle." The referee declared.

"Thanks Metagross you did great." Tyson said as he recalled his Metagross.

"But Ash's plan is very different." Brock started back in the seats, "All his first three pokemon were a decoy as Ash used them defensively. But now with Tyranitar, he is going full on attack mode. Causing Tyson to be shocked and caught off guard."

"This only worked bcoz Ash is versatile in his battle strategies." May exclaimed.

"Go Hariyama." Tyson said.

"Hariyama, use Arm Thrust." Tyson ordered.

"Tyranitar, Rock Slide." Ash called.

Tyson was completely confused. Why the sudden defense? Is Tyranitar getting weaker? Was all the before a brave front? Well that made more sense to him than the beast that stood in front of him.

Hariyama blocked all the rock slides with his arm thrusts but after the move ended, flames engulfed him once again.

'I need to end this quickly.'Tyson thought.

"Hariyama, use Vital Throw." Tyson called.

Hariyama charged forward and caught Tyranitar by hand as he proceeded to throw Tyranitar over his shoulders. Due to its immense strength, Hariyama quickly tossed Tyranitar.

"Hidden power." Ash called as Tyranitar rolled and got up.

But unlike before, the white balls around Tyranitar instantly shot towards Hariyama as they hit him hard.

"Use Arm thrust." Tyson ordered.

But the Arm thrust was no match with the hidden power, additionally the burn reducing Hariyama's attacks.

And when the attack ended, Hariyama fainted.

"Hariyama is unable to battle." The referee declared.

"Thanks hariyama. Go Sceptile." Tyson called.

"Sceptile, use bullet seed." Tyson called.

"Tyranitar, use rock slide." Ash called.

Tyranitar charged his stones at Sceptile but due to Scpetile's speed, it dodged the rocks and hit Tyranitar under his arms.

Tyranitar roared and started to deflect the rocks back at Sceptile, but Sceptile would continue the dance.

Ash could see that this dance was going nowhere. Sceptile's speed caused Sceptile to dodge most of the damage. Ash had to change tactics.

"Fire punch on ground." Ash called when he thought Sceptile was going to close in.

Tyranitar, understanding what Ash called for, condensed all the flame into his hands, concentrating and ignoring the bullet seeds onto him. Then punched the ground hard.

The ground beneath his hand cracked and the field slightly trembled but immediately after contacting the ground, fire in his hand started sweeping circularly outwards quickly. Sceptile was knocked back from the force.

"Sceptile, Solar beam." Tyson commanded after seeing that Tyranitar was panting from executing the attack.

"Tyranitar, hidden power." Ash called.

Tyranitar stopped panting for a second and white energy covered him as many white orbs rotated around him. When Tyranitar opened his eyes, Tyson could swear that he saw no exhaustion in them at all.

Tyranitar unleashed his attack but Sceptile was faster this time and completely overpowered the hidden power.

"Power up your Fire punch." Ash called.

Tyranitar roared menacingly and as soon as his hidden power ended countering the Solar beam, he charged forward with a Fire punch.

Tyson was completely amazed and terrified. Tyranitar was pushing against Solarbeam just like Hariyama did for the flamethrower. But this time he was getting faster. And before long, Tyranitar was in front of Sceptile and proceeded to punch through the last bits of solar beam, causing a massive explosion.

When the smoke cleared, Tyson could see Sceptile fainted a few meters behind his previous position. But then he saw 2 eyes shining in the smoke, a shadow of bestial Tyranitar in smoke.

Only one thought ran through Tyson's head, 'Does this pokemon even know what it is like to faint?'

The smoke cleared enough to show that Tyranitar was on his knees. Tyranitar then proceeded to look at Tyson, eye to eye, sending shivers down his spine as it smirked. Then fainted.

"Sceptile and ..Tyranitar are unable to battle." The referee declared, but he took the briefest pause for Tyranitar as if waiting for Tyranitar to get back up. Tyson didn't blame him, this Tyranitar lived upto it's beastial name and fame.

Tyson returned his Sceptile, while Ash went to the battlefield and kneeled in front of Tyranitar.

"Thanks Tyranitar. You are truly awesome here. Now take your well deserved rest." Ash said as he returned Tyranitar to the pokeball.

Ash then went back to his place and Tyson sent out his last pokemon.

"Meowth, come on out."

"Grovyle, I chose you." Ash called.

Tyson was wary of what strategy Ash might pick: Defense as norm or offense?

"Meowth thunderbolt." Tyson called.

"Grovyle, agility." Ash ordered.

Due to no obstacles on the battlefield, Grovyle dodged the thunderbolt and became invisible in a blink.

"Leaf blade." Ash ordered.

"Iron tail." Tyson countered.

Meowth readied his Iron tail and looked for any green sparks in his vision and when he saw a brief spark escape from his right side of vision, Meowth immediately clashed the charged Iron tail on the incoming Leaf blade from behind.

Both the attacks were evenly matched and neutralized. Meowth did a backflip in air to land away from grovyle.

"Thunderbolt." Tyson ordered.

Meowth immediately charged his thunderbolt mid-air and fired it at grovyle.

"Leaf blade to defend yourself." Ash countered.

Grovyle charged his leaf blade on the incoming thunderbolt but it stopped the attack for a second before Grovyle was hit by the thunderbolt directly. But Grovyle shook it off.

"Go use quick attack." Ash ordered.

Grovyle shot forward encased by white light.

"Double team." Tyson ordered.

Meowth established just in a nick of time before Grovyle attacked.

"Spin around with Leaf blade." Ash ordered.

Grovyle's light faded as he charged the Leaf blade and spinned. Due to the impulse from before Grovyle was able to hit all three copies which disappeared, the real one nowhere to be found.

"Iron tail." Tyson called.

Grovyle just stopped his spin when he was hit in the back by the Iron tail, hard.

"Bullet seed." Ash called.

Grovyle, even while skidding on the ground, turned around and shot bullet seed which knocked Meowth off the ground while skidding across the ground. And so did Meowth.

"Go, use Leaf blade." Ash ordered.

"Counter with Slash." Tyson called.

Grovyle and Meowth shot at each other with their attacks readied. And when they clashed, sparks of white and green came out. Neither pokemon budged an inch. When the clash ended both pokemon landed back, with panting grovyle slightly panting.

"Thunderbolt." Tyson called.

"Deflect with leaf blade." Ash ordered.

But before Grovyle could interrupt with Leaf blade, he was hit with a thunderbolt. And he was paralysed.

"Iron tail." Tyson commanded.

Meowth readied his iron tail and shot at Grovyle, who struggled through paralysis to attack with Leaf blade. Both attacks collided but since Grovyle's Leaf blade lacked any momentum behind, Iron tail easily overpowered him. And Grovyle fainted.

"Grovyle is unable to battle." The referee declared.

"Thanks for your help Grovyle. Take a good rest." Ash said as he returned Grovyle and looked at Pikachu, "Let's do this buddy. Pikachu, I choose you."

Pikachu called back determined and stepped forward.

"Pikachu, use thunderbolt." Ash called.

"Then we will use thunderbolt too." Tyson countered.

Both the attacks clashed in the middle, Pikachu overpowering the move before it exploded.

"Pikachu, Iron tail." Ash called.

"You too use Iron tail." Tyson called.

Both of them clashed equally, neither budging an inch.

"Pikachu, use quick attack." Ash ordered after the attack ended.

"Double team." Tyson countered.

Meowth set a double team and was able to get away from Pikachu.

"Use thunder." Ash called.

"Dodge it with thunderbolt." Tyson ordered.

Meowth fired a thunderbolt at the thunder to stop before he rolled out of the way.

'Meowth is too fast to be hit with thunder. Thunderbolt is being countered. It seems Tyson made my electric moves useless.' Ash thought as he smiled.

"Pikachu, use quick attack." Ash ordered.

"Double team." Tyson countered.

"Quick, keep on attacking them." Ash said and Pikachu hit all the copies.

"Slash." Tyson countered.

When Pikachu got near to the real Meowth, he was met with a slash to the face. Both of them clashed with Meowth just able to push back Pikachu.

"Pikachu, use Iron tail on the nearby rocks." Ash ordered.

Pikachu used Iron tail on the nearby rocks left from Tyranitar's -ahem- baseball practice.

"Meowth, get away from them." Tyson ordered. 'The rocks are too thin to spread. What is Ash thinking?' he thought.

"Now use quick attack on them." Ash said as the rocks were airborne.

Pikachu surrounded himself with white energy as he jumped between the rocks.

"Thunderbolt." Ash called.

"Meowth you too use thunderbolt." Tyson ordered.

Pikachu stopped on a falling rock and unleashed his thunderbolt on Meowth, but it was pretty weak which was immediately overpowered by Meowth's. But the thunderbolt hit the rock, with pikachu nowhere on it.

"Now." Ash said.

Pikachu appeared behind Meowth, with sparks flying all over him and started running towards Meowth, all the while sparks were wildly coming off him.

"Double team." Tyson called.

But it was late as Meowth was hit by the quick attack(?). Meowth skidded back on his feet. But Meowth was paralysed, evident by the sparks on him.

"Now thunder." Ash called.

"Thunderbolt." Tyson called.

Pikachu unleashed his full power thunder on Meowth who just pushed a thunderbolt back at it, which was overpowered and before he could roll off, he was hit by thunder.

After the attack ended, Meowth fainted.

"Meowth is unable to battle. Ash is the winner." The referee announced.

"We did it buddy." Ash exclaimed as he hugged his PIkachu, but a few sparks hit him from contacting PIkachu's fur. But Ash just laughed through it.

"That was a great battle, Ash. Your surprise, Tyranitar, is the best one I have seen." Tyson said as he held his hand forward.

"Thanks for the compliment Tyson." Ash smiled as he shook hands with Tyson.
