Junior: welcome back guys. Thank you for the support for the last 2 chapters. Ash vs Giovanni hit off pretty well. Makes me feel worthy to write about these battles further.

Jade: Your last chapter screamed half baked ideas.

Disclaimer: We don't own pokemon.

Junior: But when posted, it gathered the highest traffic. Looks like my raw intelligence is more awesome than yours.

Jade: Early hours just before sunrise are heavenly hours to be asleep. Also, I will prove you otherwise.

Junior: Anyways, another of my anticipated ones. I have to admit, this was very hard to write. It was very long since I watched DP, thus my knowledge may not be the best and I didn't want any character discrepancies.

Jade: Don't worry kiddo.

Junior: yeah, because I got a review to reply to.

Someone: Thanks for reviewing. I honestly feel like this story doesn't get much attention but your reviews are more than enough. And thank you for the praise. I am sure this chapter will easily tower over the last one but I am ecstatic to hear your raw or honest thoughts.

About the other part, the TRio was incompetent to Giovanni just like Dugtrio. But the fact is that Dugtrio is a plausible one for him among the choices and it does have some great moves and wins in spectacular ways sometimes. The same is true with TRio, they fail constantly but their devotion and once in a blue moon successes that are large more than make up for it.

Without further ado,

Let's take off.

"This is lake acuity huh? Finally." Ash said as he stretched his limbs to feel the sunlight from the rising sun.

"I heard that Lake acuity hosts one of the legendary lake guardians." Dawn said from Ash's behind.

"That's right. Uxie, the knowledge pokemon." Brock said.

"So that means Uxie can see my battle with Paul right? Let us do our best then buddy." Ash said as he pumped his fists towards his Pikachu, who did the same.

After a few minutes, Ash and his friends made their way to the Pokemon center where he gave his pokemon to Nurse Joy for checking up. After taking his pokemon, Ash declared he is going for an evening walk.

"I am not understanding. Is Ash worried about the battle? I have never seen him this disturbed." Dawn asked Brock.

"He is worried about the result of the battle. Not about winning or losing, but the effect it will have on his pokemons." Brock said. "Just like Paul, Ash has some strong pokemon. Pokemon whose strength will surprise even you."

"Then why doesn't he use them to win the League?" Dawn asked.

"Because that is not Ash's goal. It was, but isn't." Brock explained as he smiled at the sight of sunset. "In every region, he catches new pokemon, forges bonds that are unshakable. The League is a metric to measure how much growth he brought to them and himself. All of this, to understand pokemon more and become a master of pokemon, the pokemon master."

"That is…. Ash for you." Dawn said as her respect and admiration for Ash grew. "But what does that have anything to do with this?"

"The Sinnoh team is about to see some pokemon that are stronger than Paul's. They will see the true power their trainer possesses, but in the process forget that he is trying to bring it to them too. They will be pressured, in short, to perform strong enough to be worthy of him." Brock explained.

"I hope it will be resolved." Dawn prayed.

"It will be, Ash has grown enough to face his consequences. Come on, let's go make some good dinner for him." Brock suggested.

"Come on out everybody." Ash shouted as he threw all his pokeballs into the air.

His entire Sinnoh team materialized. Staraptor, Grotle, Chimchar, Gliscor, Buizel. And Pikachu was on his shoulders, for support.

"Listen carefully everybody." Ash said, catching the full attention of all his pokemon. "Tomorrow I am going to battle Paul in a 6 on 6 full battle."

All of his pokemons shouted in excitement and the urge to win. But Ash held his hand up and silenced them.

"But here is the thing. I am not using you guys, I am using my old pokemons. Ones I have caught and trained in other regions. That is what Paul asked for. This isn't meant to degrade your power guys. If it were for me, I would have you guys only." Ash said.

All his pokemon looked at each other and smiled. They all let out a happy cry and nodded confidently, signaling that they are okay with being sidelined.

"I am going to send you guys back to Prof Oak's ranch. There you will meet pokemon that are quite strong, which can also be mine. But remember this, you guys still have time. You can be as strong as you want, given time. So, please don't feel sad or don't let yourself down just because you aren't as strong as them."Ash said.

His pokemon all looked in between themselves. They started discussing something and at last all nodded to turn towards Ash.

"Are you ready for the battle, Paul?" Ash asked.

"Didn't we agree that you will use your strongest team?" Paul questioned.

Ash looked over at his sinnoh pokemons that stood behind the referee Reggie called. They too wanted to see the power of his pokemon.

Ash just smiled crookedly in reply as he rubbed his neck.

"I have another team here on my belt." Ash said as he showed his belt.

"But,.. how?" Paul was confused.

"How about I tell you that later?" Ash said. Paul got suspicious but let it slide.

"This is an official 6 on 6 between Ash Ketchum and Paul Shinji." The referee declared.

"Electabuzz, stand by for battle." Paul called.

"Sceptile, I chose you." Ash said as Sceptile materialized.

Electabuzz sized up Sceptile with a confident smile. But Sceptile just took one look at Electabuzz and turned away as it smiled and shook his head in scolding motion, as if belittling Electabuzz. Electabuzz shouted in anger at Sceptile.

"Battle begin." The referee called.

"Go, Leaf blade." Ash ordered.

"Intercept with Brick break." Paul countered.

The upper leaves on Sceptile's hands grew in size with a green glow, while Electabuzz raised his right arm above its head. Sceptile bent forward and pushed himself off the ground.

Electabuzz brought his right hand, which was glowing white, down on the incoming Sceptile. Sceptile bought his right blade against the attack. When both attacks collided, a shockwave kicked up quite the amount of dust. Even more impressively, Electabuzz was pushed back an inch.

Then Sceptile brought his left blade onto Electabuzz, causing the pokemon to skid many feet back. Electabuzz really felt the attack as he placed a hand on his chest. Sceptile on other hand smiled on him as if to say simple.

Paul was shocked at the raw strength of Sceptile's Leaf blade. This Sceptile is something he can't risk with.

"Electabuzz, return. Magmortar, stand by for battle."

Meanwhile, Grotle was looking at Sceptile like he was some God that descended upon the grass types.

"Sceptile, use focus blast." Ash ordered.

"Use flamethrower." Paul ordered.

As Magmortar blew flames onto Sceptile, Sceptile dodged the move by running in a circle and when he was at right of Magmortar, unleashed the concentrated orb.

Magmortar turned just in time to block the hit with his cannons.

"Now, use magical leaf." Ash ordered.

Sceptile shot a barrage of leaves onto Magmortar, exploding the focus blast he was holding back.

"Top it with focus blast." Ash ordered.

"Retaliate with rock tomb." Paul ordered, understanding Ash's battle tactic.

"That is a strong magical leaf." Dawn remarked.

"True but it seems Ash is too reliant on Scpetile's speed." Reggie commented.

Brock said nothing as he examined the battlefield with a small smile.

Sceptile launched its focus blast while Magmortar launched a barrage of rocks. Both attacks collided and an explosion happened.

Chimchar was sure that anymore admiration and Grotle would be having a heart attack. Buizel too shared the sentiment as he sprayed some water on the pokemon. Yet Grotle was not taking his eyes off Sceptile, not at all feeling Buizel's attack. Buizel and Chimchar shot a look of desperation at each other.

"Come back, Sceptile. Snorlax, time to shine." Ash substituted Snorlax for Sceptile, snapping Grotle back into this world.

It was then Grotle noticed the water on its face and looked at the unsuspecting Buizel. Grotle got behind Buizel and launched a razor leaf at Buizel, causing Buizel to fly a few feet into the air.

"Use focus blast." Paul ordered.

"Stockpile." Ash ordered.

Snorlax sat down as a red aura enveloped him. The focus blast hit, but didn't do much damage.

"Again." Ash ordered.

Paul understood that Ash was setting up Snorlax.

"Rock tomb." Paul ordered.

"Power-up punch." Ash countered.

Snorlax charged up faster this time and retaliated with Power-up punch, not before taking two rocks to face that is.

"Flamethrower." Paul ordered.

Magmortar released a barrage of flames that were sliced by another power-up punch. This was the most active Snorlax Paul has ever seen.

By the time Snorlax was in close range of Magmortar, his attack was boosted twice. Paul knew that would be a problem.

"Thunder punch." Ash ordered.

"Flamethrower." Heeding Paul's command, Magmortar retaliated against the thunder punch with a flamethrower. Although Snorlax easily punched through the attack.

Magmortar reeled a few feet back from the attack, but Paul was satisfied with the result. The flamethrower decreased the blow from attack while flame body gave Snorlax a burn, as he was now encased in fire.

"Magmortar return. Torterra, stand by for battle." Paul once again switched.

"In order to stop a physical attacker like Snorlax, Paul gave it a burn using Magmortar's flame body that gives pokemon burns on contact. And now he substituted in for a physical tank like Torterra." Brock explained to Dawn on the log.

"Paul really thought this through. The burn not only reduces attack power but also chips away at Snorlax who Ash had bulked up." Dawn said.

"This is why I wanted this battle. Paul thinks two steps ahead, but Ash is no pushover in winging in any battle. This will teach them a lot in the long run." Reggie said even though his other motive was to Ash teach Paul a little to care about pokemon. It wasn't due to Paul, he chose Pokemon that are like that after Chimchar gave him trouble.

"Except there is one small issue. Paul will not win this, not by a long shot." Brock said with a smile.

"What are you talking about Brock?" Dawn asked.

"Wait and see." Brock said.

"Torterra huh? Sorry Paul but we aren't gonna lose this battle, use stockpile." Ash ordered.

"We will see about that one, use Stone edge." Paul ordered.

Snorlax bulked up as Torterra attacked him. After the attack, Snorlax was burned again.

"This is bad, Snorlax is weakening. The burn is making this worse." Dawn said.

All his pokemon too shared the sentiment as they were completely silent.

"Well, let's get this started." Ash said as he turned his hat to the right.

"Actually you are wrong Dawn. Just watch." Brock said, amusement in his voice.

Reggie was seriously considering which one move could dictate this battle. Paul too was doing the same.

"Use Rest." Ash ordered.

Snorlax sat down as he replenished his health.

Pikachu started hopping and dancing on his feet, causing Sinnoh pokemon to get some hope back as they started cheering.

"Started? End this, use crunch followed by Frenzy plant." Paul ordered.

Torterra launched itself at Snorlax and used Crunch on it. Then it jumped back and spat some seeds on the ground. Immediately, four whines emerged as they whipped towards Snorlax.

"Fire punch it." Ash ordered.

When the first whip hit Snorlax, he retaliated with a fire punch to the remaining three, scorching them away. Then Snorlax lifted his head as he looked at Torterra and Paul. Paul swore that when Snorlax's slits slightly opened, he saw a deathly red glow behind it, enough to send shivers down his spine.

"Ice punch" Ash ordered.

Paul witnessed 2 events he never thought he would see. One is that Snorlax launched itself onto Torterra. He knew a few Snorlax could jump, but launching? It was scary to watch a 600 kg 2m long bullet coming at your ground/grass type with an ice move double powered.

The second is that Snorlax used Ice punch, alongside Rest, stockpile, fire punch and power up punch. How can a pokemon, one as lazy as Snorlax learn more than 4 moves? Just how?

"What just happened?" Paul asked.

"Like I said, we are all warmed up. Snorlax, return for now." Ash replied as he withdrew Snorlax.

Once again Grotle was snapped out of his stupor, but this time everyone else too did the same. What they saw was something beyond imagination itself. For a pokemon to have a fifth move is an ultimate dream.

"Is it me or did that Snorlax looks different?" Reggie asked, pointedly looking at Brock.

"Brock, what happened?" Dawn asked. Brock had the biggest grin on his face.

"Snorlax, when woken up after a sleep, is deadly in battle. Combine it with increased stats and 6 moves, you get a solid wall made into a beast of steel." Brock said.

"How does he know 6 moves?" Reggie asked, somewhat louder.

"Ever heard of Orange island's champion and his dragonite?" Brock asked.

"...You don't mean Snorlax trained under …" Reggie said as he understood just what kind of sweeper Paul set up for himself, but he was not worried. What is more important is, "Why change?" he asked.

"To induce more fear." Brock said, completely enjoying the battle. Dawn though was kinda curious, what can be more scary than a Snorlax that is set up like now?

"Tyranitar, enter the field." Ash shouted as he released Tyranitar.

Tyranitar looked at Torterra who just got out of the lake and let out a blood curdling battle cry that sent shivers down Paul's spine.

The roar even made all the sinnoh pokemon silent. This Tyranitar was completely different from the one they played tag with yesterday. It was funny and hilarious to watch Tyranitar run around to catch Gliscor, but that roar is enough to make some of the pokemon tremble.

"Use giga drain." Paul ordered, wanting to end this.

"Ti-ay" Tyranitar let out another roar as a sandstorm kicked up.

And like a froslass in dense mist, Tyranitar disappeared from the spot in a blink, but the roar was still audible. This was unnerving Paul more than ever.

"Ice punch." Ash ordered.

"Use stone edge all around you." Paul ordered.

Paul couldn't see anything as Sandstorm seemingly thickened, but he could hear something punching through the rocks and heard another sinister cry followed by Torterra crying out in pain.

What happened next sent Paul and Reggie into full on panic mode.

Torterra, a continental pokemon, a heavy pokemon weighing at 300kg, was hurled out of the sandstorm. It was soaring in air, 2 feet from ground, when Tyranitar came out of the sandstorm, with an ice punch in his left hand and gave the fastest punch Paul saw to Torterra's gut.

The continental pokemon was hurled another one and half feet into air by the attack only.

"Leaf storm" Paul ordered.

"Fire punch." Ash countered.

Tyranitar crouched and then jumped up, his fire punch burning away the storm and before long he was in front of Torterra. In a blink, the fire punch knocks Torterra into a crater.

Paul knew Pseudo legendaries are next to none in power, but this is beyond frightening. This is starting to seem like the match with Regis. Tyranitar stood somewhere in the sandstorm like a ghost, hitting hard enough to soar a 300kg pokemon 2 feet into air.

"To think this is the Tyranitar that played tag with you and pikachu, you were lucky that Tyranitar didn't take that bubblebeam too seriously." Dawn said to her Piplup, who froze entirely.

The comment snapped the whole sinnoh squad out of their trance. All of them looked at Buizel and Staraptor whose faces were beyond pale. They had wanted to have a fun battle with the Pseudo legendary to see what power he had. The pokemon could imagine multiple ways in which Tyranitar could swipe his hand or tail and they would be left with broken bones. They all hugged together.

"Just for Paul's sake, the remaining pokemon are okay than the last two right?" Reggie asked as he looked expectantly on Brock.

Brock for his part was silent and not looking at Reggie, "Maybe…. Not." The way Brock said maybe like that is doubtful, made Reggie pray for Paul. This became a nightmare real quick.

"Tyranitar return for now." Ash said as he fixed his hat properly. "Sorry about it, he has a habit of showing off. Some alpha stuff and all."

That made Paul want to lose whatever was left of his sanity. Alpha pokemon?

"You mean to say that Pseudo legendary is an alpha pokemon?" Paul asked coldly.

"Maybe? It is hard to confirm since he trained on bu…" Ash replied.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Paul shouted, which was a first.

"Huh?" Ash asked, apparently not understanding.

His sinnoh squad are completely dumbfounded. The power Tyranitar had, combined with Snorlax and Charizard, will win him any League. But why Ash would choose them and train was a really hard question, but they remembered Ash's words from yesterday and left that train of thought.

"Anyways, Charizard, come out." Ash called as the mighty dragon let out an ear-piercing roar and a column of bright red flames.

"Electabuzz, come out." Paul called, steeling his nerves. He could feel the heat all the way up here.

"Use thunder." Paul commanded.

"Dragon dance and dodge it all the way." Ash countered.

"Keep them coming." Paul ordered.

As Electabuzz fired off its thunder, Charizard avoided the moves and whirled around, increasing his speed and attack. The increased speed helped Charizard even further to escape and set up.

After the second dragon dance, thunder connected. Paul internally sighed as the set up was incomplete.

"Take it and dish it back with Dragon rush" Ash commanded as he twisted his hat to right.

"Light Screen." Paul countered.

Charizard folded his hands and wings, then flexed out as purple-blue draconic energy in the form of Dragon's maw straight up dispelled thunder and Charizard crashed onto Electabuzz with the draconic maw on the front.

Electabuzz was still standing but Paul knew another attack would be deadly. For a non-dragon type, Charizard seems to be scarily fast and powerful at charging the dragon type moves.

"Inferno." Ash commanded.

"Thunder." Paul countered.

Both attacks collided in mid-air and an explosion ensued.

"Charge in with Metal claw." Ash ordered.

Charizard came charging with Metal claw from the smoke at Electabuzz.

"Counter with brick break." Paul ordered.

Charizard charged forward but at the last second used the move on the ground. Many stones shot from below and striked Electabuzz as he reeled back and was about to be knocked over but found his balance.

"Inferno." Ash yelled as Charizard got enveloped in red aura.

Charizard opened its maw and fired the attack. But this time, the flames were scorching hot red. Paul could feel the sweat on his forehead even though he was facing Charizard's back. The power was enough to launch Electabuzz into the air, several feet high.

"End this with dragon fangs." Ash ordered.

Paul never heard of the move but it looks like Ash forgot one thing.

"Thunder." Paul yelled.

Being at high altitude, Electabuzz charged up a lot of thunder through it onto Charizard below, who flexed out his wings and Draconic energy surrounded him once more.

Charizard shot forward like a bullet and as the thunder connected, charged up metal claws on it. Using the metal claw, Charizard sliced through the thunder and attacked Electabuzz.

Electabuzz came crashing and when the dust cleared, Electabuzz fainted. But Charizard was in scraps as yellow sparks flew around him. Just paralysis and scraps. Paul couldn't believe its strength.

Meanwhile Chimchar shouted as it came into the battlefield and looked up at the flying Charizard as if he was an angel.

Charizard titled his head and let out a n interesting "Char chari, zarr". And looked towards his trainer and nodded.(Pokespeech translator: Where did you get the volcano? His fire is exceedingly powerful for his stage.)

Chimchar couldn't believe it, "Chim. Charrrr" He yelled as blue light encased him("This is my goal then. To reach you.").

After evolving, Monferno brought his fists together and punched out, creating a mini tornado from his fists.

"Can we continue our battle if you are done?" Paul asked irritatedly, as if sweeping him wasn't enough, ignoring his battle as if it was a pathetic match was even worse.

"Ursaring, stand by for battle." Paul tossed out Ursaring's ball.

"Corphish, I chose you." Ash called for his Corphish.

Both Paul's and Ursaring's right eyebrow twitched at the same time. Paul desperately wanted to yeet this idiot but controlled himself. Ursaring though cracked its knuckles as it wanted to squash the pest.

"Use bulk up." Paul ordered.

"Swords Dance." Ash ordered.

Paul was starting to hate this. If he loses to Corphish, there will be no greater humiliation.

"Ursaring, focus blast." Paul ordered.

"Swords dance." Ash ordered.

Corphish this time spun faster and brought his pincers near, causing the focus blast to collide with the twisting Corphish. The additional speed made it easier to counter the blast.

"Slash." Paul ordered when it seemed the blast would blast and dissipate.

Ursaring shot forward like a bullet and slashed at the focus blast making Corphish flung backwards. Paul felt hopeful as the battle seems to be following common sense now.

Too bad for Paul that Ash can unleash his old pokemon freely.

"Focus blast." Paul ordered.

"Use crabhammer." Ash called.

As Ursaring pitched the orb, Corphish striked it back at double speed using Crabhammer, into Ursaring's solar plexus. Ursaring doubled down on the pain and curled for a second.

"Vice grip." Ash commanded.

"Hammer arm." Paul countered.

Ursaring gritted through the pain and with a murderous roar swung his right hand at Corphish who was coming at him.

But Corphish abnormally got Ursaring's right arm in its pincer. Corphish completely absorbed the blow as it now had a grip on the Ursaring's right hand. The attack gave many scrapes to Corphish but it firmly held onto Ursaring's right hand with a smile.

"Cor Corphish Cor Corp Corphish…" Corphish started singing happily as it proceeded to smash Ursaring like a rag doll onto the earth multiple times. 'This makes no sense. How? Just how?' Paul was internally screaming for answers. Ash was not pathetic, he came at the wrong time.

"Hammer arm the ground and escape the grip." Paul commanded.

Ursaring yelled as it broke the ground at Corphish's legs, causing the pokemon to lose grip and jump away.

"What food does that Corphish even consume? NO no, what do all these pokemon even consume?" Reggie asked, completely stunned at the events.

When he wanted a battle between Ash and Paul with their strongest pokemon, it was not to humiliate Paul to this degree.

"Bulk up." Paul commanded.

"Paul boosted his defense and attack." Ash said to himself, "Ahh, but who cares?"

"Corphish, use crabhammer." Ash commanded.

"Hammer arm." Paul commanded.

As Corphish came with his Crabhammer, Ursaring swung its right hand onto Corphish violently. But, the crabhammer made Ursaring spin counter to the direction it was spinning and made Ursaring lose balance.

"Ursaring return. Weavile, stand by for battle." Paul switched again as this Corphish seemed to be scary strong in attacking.

"Corphish, use water pulse." Ash ordered.

"Dodge and use swords dance." Paul ordered, intent on giving Ash a taste of his own medicine.

Corphish fired off a water pulse from his pincers onto Weavile who dodged them and performed Swords dance, increasing his power.

"Crab hammer the ground, pulsate." Ash ordered.

Corphish banged his crabhammer on the ground, propelling him like a bullet towards Weavile, Unfortunately the bullet can't take a turn.

"Blizzard." Paul ordered.

When Weavile dodged the move, she fired off a large blizzard towards Corphish, who used a water pulse below him to alter the trajectory upwards. The water pulse on other hand blasted the ground and stopped the blizzard as the water froze, making a ramp of sorts.

When the momentum died, Corphish was many feet off the ground.

"Crabhammer into Swords dance." Ash ordered as Corphish started his sword dance.

"Ice shards." Whatever Ash is planning, it isn't good.

But the shards did nothing as they broke as soon as they made contact with the twirling Corphish. In mid descent the attack ended but not the twirling as one of its pincers was glowing blue.

"Use blizzard." Paul ordered.

Weavile took a deep breath and fired off the strongest blizzard ever onto Corphish who was just 3 feet above the ground as he swirled and brought the Crabhammer onto the ground.

The result was waves of water violently reaching out from Corphish, violently thrashing against Blizzard and making icicles that crashed onto Weavile

"Is corphish alright?" Dawn asked.

"Corphish might not look it but he is as tough as a metagross. Also, the crabhammer was at maximum power boost. Ash placed a water pulse in the pincer, using the pressure from fall to splash the pulse violently." Brock explained.

"Use metal claw to knock them back." Paul ordered.

"Corphish, come back. Sceptile, I chose you." Ash switched Sceptile for Corphish, which admittedly made everyone raise their eyebrows.

"Weavile, Ice shards." Paul ordered, keen on not letting Ash to set up.

"Leaf blade, tornado mode." Ash ordered.

Sceptile started spinning wildly as the leaf blade formed a ring of protection. Additionally some golden dust started swirling around Sceptile.

All the ice shards were not making a dent on Sceptile as it kept on spinning.

"Blizzard" Paul ordered.

The spinning seemingly blocked away the worst of the blizzard. When the attack ended, the golden dust was dissipated.

Paul thought the dust had something to do with power when Sceptile stopped spinning and the golden glow in its bulbs explained what the dust was.

"Go." Ash shouted.

"Metal claw and dodge." Paul ordered.

Just as metal claw started, the solarbeam connected. Honestly, Weavile had no chance against a beam of that size. Its diameter is as long as Paul himself.

"Weavile is unable to battle." The referee declared.

"Sceptile return. Snorlax onto the battlefield." Ash switched to Snorlax as Paul returned Weavile.

"Honchkrow, stand by for battle." Paul called upon his honchkrow as he smiled. 'Only one move' He thought.

"Snorlax return. Go Tyranitar" Ash switched again.

The sandstorm that died away after Tyranitar was taken back, kicked up. Paul knew that Tyranitar is not fully trained but still a threat. Tyranitar from Mt. Silver can create sandstorms that last as long as they are on the battlefield. Flip side is that once they leave, it will disintegrate unless trained otherwise.

Paul internally cursed as the sandstorm made it hard to recall Honchkrow.

"Honchkrow come out." Paul commanded.

"Ice punch, don't let it out." Ash ordered. He knew Paul could have Honchkrow with haze. His strategy to surprise and win worked but he knew the second time wouldn't be a charm and Paul might switch into Honchkrow.

"Sky attack and come out." Paul countered. 'It seems Ash is aware of my plan and is planning on stopping Snorlax from being buffed down. So, Snorlax is the Ace.' he thought.

From the sandstorm, Honchkrow let out a cry as the ice punch connected. Paul gritted, 'But first I need to live the bodyguard to Snorlax.'

But suddenly the sandstorm ended. Tyranitar was standing tall like a beast with that smile that sent shivers down Paul's spine. In front of him was Honchkrow, completely encased in ice and in very bad condition.

Paul was about to retrieve when Tyranitar broke through the ice with stones, which were floating above Tyranitar and Paul didn't notice as he was more focused on Honchkrow.

Honchkrow predictably fainted.

"Paul, Tyranitar isn't going to hold back from now on. So, give it your best shot." Ash shouted as the sandstorm was kicked up by a roar from Tyranitar.

Paul understood he was lured way before. Tyranitar was holding back, Ash lured into false comfort, making him think he could take the risk when in reality, it has no chance of success.

"Electabuzz, stand by for battle." Paul used Electabuzz as even though Tyranitar's rock typing was dangerous, only he was fast enough to land a very super effective Brick break on the monster.

The sandstorm was noticeably thin now, enough to see what was happening inside. It really seemed Tyranitar was ready to stand and fight.

"Electabuzz, use brick break." Paul ordered.

"Tyranitar, hidden power." Ash ordered.

Tyranitar roared as many bluish-white orbs surrounded Tyranitar and shot at the incoming Electabuzz.

Electabuzz was initially guarded by light screen but the orbs soon broke through and hit back Electabuzz. Electabuzz lost its balance and landed on its butt.

"Rock slide" Ash commanded, clenching his fists forward.

Tyranitar's eyes got a glint which Paul could see through the storm and he bent his body forward as many rocks appeared above him.

Tyranitar soon started punching his fist forward in the air to propel the rocks or take the rocks and fling them. He was even twirling the middle as if it was a dance.

"Protect and Brick break." Paul shouted.

Electabuzz broke the rocks coming his way and used protect in the middle as Tyranitar kept on chucking rocks.

"Crunch." Ash ordered.

Tyranitar was 8 feet away from Electabuzz, but he leapt forward with his fangs growing and encasing in dark energy.

"Brick break, full power." Paul commanded.

Electabuzz charged the brick break directly into Tyranitar's crunch, but Tyranitar felt nothing as he grabbed the hand and stood.

He then proceeded to yeet Electabuzz into a nearby tree. Electabuzz's right hand was kinda damaged from the attack. He should use Brick break from the other hand only. Paul looked at Tyranitar and saw sparks erratically flowing out.

"End this, use hidden power." Ash commanded.

This time, the attack made Electabuzz faint.

"Thank you for the effort. Ursaring, stand by for battle." Paul switched into Ursaring.

"Tyranitar, rest up buddy. Snorlax, you are up." Ash substituted.

Paul fumed at Ash, "Ursaring return. Magmortar, come out."

"I knew you would do that. That's what we want." Ash said.

Paul was kinda scared of what Ash had for him.

"Go, use power-up punch." Ash ordered.

Snorlax shot forward with a power-up punch.

"Intercept it with rock tomb." Paul ordered.

Magmortar aimed and shot rock after rock on Snorlax, who just punched through them and hit Magmortar. But Magmortar held Snorlax's hands locked in.

"Smog." Paul ordered.

"Now, show them fire punch. Don't hold back." Ash commanded.

Paul's eyes widened in Surprise. 'Of course, Snoralx too was holding back. Did that mean Sceptile and Charizard too held back?' He pondered.

Snorlax shot the fist forward at light speed into Magmortar's gut, knocking the pokemon off the ground for a second.

"Facade" Ash commanded.

Paul was not sure whether he should be surprised or not. If 6 wasn't enough, 7 is bad. And Facade is the last thing he wants.

"Just how many moves does he know? You said 6 right?" Reggie asked Brock, in a slightly worried tone.

"Drake said 6 was the maximum, but it seems, 7 is the new record." Brock said as he smiled brightly.

The facade knocked off Magmortar. And Ursaring had no chance.

"Great work Snorlax. Take some rest. Charizard, you are up." Ash said as he switched to Charizard.

"Ursaring, stand by for battle." Paul called. He really hoped for a burn.

"Charizard, inferno." Ash ordered.

"Hammer arm." Paul ordered.

Charizard let out a massive burst of flames as Ursaring slashed at using Hammer arm. The sparks caused the attack to end quickly.

But the needed effect came into play. Ursaring was burned. Guts was activated. Paul knew he can't win, but he won't go down with a loss.

"Bulk up." Paul ordered.

"Guts? Alright, we will show ours. Dragon rush." Ash ordered.

Draconic energy flared around Charizard and Charizard shot at Ursaring.

"Use facade." Paul ordered.

Ursaring's facade battled with Dragon rush and dissipated it. Charizard was slightly surprised at the events but a deep red aura flared up around him.

"Did Charizard willingly activated Blaze?" Paul asked, staring in slight horror.

Meanwhile, everyone at the 'stands' was sweating. Literally and figuratively as Chim- monferno was admiring Charizard stronger than Grotle with Sceptile, so much that his flame on tip was as big as himself.

"Bui" Buizel shot some water on Monferno and asked him to tone it down. Monferno, though angry at Buizel, nodded but the moment he saw Charizard the flame shot back up. The squad just stayed away from him.

"Here we go, Charizard, with your full power, use Inferno." Ash shouted as he clenched his fist forward.

Charizard roared thunderously as the sparks dissipated from the amount of heat emerging from him, then he took to the sky and rained down literal hell on Ursaring.

"Hammer arm" Paul countered.

But it was no use, the flames were not only scorching yellow, they were widespread too. Ursaring blocked the direct flames but the surrounded flames attacked him, causing him to be engulfed in flames.

As Charizard landed, the sparks returned despite the red aura. But when the flames died, Ursaring was shown fainted.

Paul couldn't believe it. How? Just how can Ash defeat all 6 of his strongest ones using only 5 pokemon with no loss?

When Ash came forward to shake his hands, Paul broke out of his trance and caught Ash by his shoulders.

"How? Just who are they? Who are you? Why didn't you use them before? Why train this new squad which can't measure up to them?" Paul was clearly losing it now.

"Paul, calm down." Ash shouted as pushed Paul off. "I didn't wanna use them because if you knew about the strength they possessed, you would push your pokemon to achieve it too, regardless of whether they can achieve it or not. I didn't want to injure your pokemon even further than you have been doing."

Paul wanted to pull his hair out but kept it cool.

"Anyways, I am heading off to the Pokemon center. You should also do the same." Ash said as he slowly backed up and ran away. His sinnoh squad too followed the suit.

Paul got suspicious and turned back to see his brother 2 inches behind his back looking at Ash.

Reggie's eyes narrowed on Ash, who had run away to avoid the barrage of questions, so he turned to the nearest source. Brock.

"Fire away. Ash is still not good with the questions." Brock said as he crossed his arms, as if defending his younger brother.

"Why didn't you warn this?" Reggie asked.

"Paul had changed, I thought it was time he would see how real power looks like." Brock said calmly.

"Snorlax?" Paul asked.

Brock sighed, "Don't shout back or hunt him down. Ash is the current champion of the orange archipelago." Brock said.

"Wait, what?" Brock forgot to warn Dawn, who was just behind Brock when she shouted. Brock cradled his ear, "Don't shout like that."

"Why didn't he tell me about it?" Dawn demanded.

"He is still shy about it." Brock explained.

"So that's why he can carry more than 6 pokemon?" Paul asked.

"But the Orange championship has no elite four, meaning Ash is still an elite ace at best." Reggie narrowed his eyes at Brock.

"He won the emerald battle frontier challenge." Brock said.

"Emerald challenge? It means Ash has to beat 6 frontiers in the first try and he gets two tries for the remaining two. That is one of the toughest challenges from the battle frontier, giving you access to become a frontier brain." Paul said as he understood why they were so powerful.

"Snoralx was trained by Drake to use more than 4 moves. Drake was sure of Snorlax being able to use 6 moves. Charizard trains in the Charicific valley and is given the rank of fire dragon in the valley. Tyranitar grew up at Mt. Silver, continues to train there sometimes. When he was larvitar, Ash made a promise to come back and catch him. Corphish always had incredible stamina and Sceptile trained harder with Prof Oak's Venasaur." Brock explained all.

"In another words, I fought a near champion level trainer." Paul said as he let that sink in.

Junior: And that's it guys. I know this is not the best one you asked for, considering I made it a little too AU kind. But I did my best to represent how Ash and the universe flowed. I feel like these conversations are holding back the chapter.

Jade: The Sinnoh team's admiration side plot, Charizard's activating Blaze upon seeing a worthy opponent, the counter haze and Snorlax set-up were my ideas. Hence, I look forward to your appreciation. Be it in the form of favoriting the series or reviewing is your choice.

Junior: Hey, I made them. You added in pieces…

Jade: The battle was supposed to be a set-up for Tyranitar to sweep through with Pikachu too involved and the Sinnoh team side plot is my original. I was the one who shoved away Pikachu and increased the significance and battle strategies of other pokemon.

Junior: Okay okay. Let's see how our readers receive, as this is my longest chapter yet. Sorry sorry, our longest chapter yet.

Jade: You belittle my magnificence, you inept bummer.

Junior: About the unova gym writes, the ones with marlon and drayden, I am kinda not sure how fast they will be though. Not only should I rewatch some BW(I kinda like the ones that are actually written and not thrown around in BW), I should make up some new stratgeis for them. I am not so in touch with unovan pokemon like the first 4 gen ones.

Jade: The guy is simply displeased with the results. The attention or reviews or following this story gained was not as much as the original one which had only 3 parts at the time comparing. And they were raw, not improvised by my guidance. So, he is not sure if people are liking to read battles or the story itself.

Junior: Let's leave it be. We have this chapter and I am sure, given time this too will rise. Maybe it is because we are in the hype where people are more enthusiastic to read amourshipping now than battles.

And when I posted that story, the journey was showing some training arcs and battles thus my fic must have lured in people. So, no need to worry. Until next time,

- Junior and Jade.
