Also, an hour after posting the chapter, I watched JN106. So, spoiler alert in case you didn't watch it. Man, picture my excitement when I see my views exploding like TRio's radio show along the episode. And by the end of the episode, the chapter gathered as many views as all others combined did. After another hour, the views were 2 times the same. I still want to squeal in happiness but from me it will sound really bad.
Jade: Yep and picture my irritation when this guy calls me 4 hours before sunrise, shouting gibberish on how the story exploded. Dumb-sass, those are heavenly hours, used only for sleep.
Junior: Heh, but can you blame me? That story exploded. Finally this felt worthy. And speaking of which, the reviews!
Someone: Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it, bcoz if not for your reply, I would have stopped this with the Misty chapter only. FFN gave me so much trouble with uploading that and the battle itself was the hardest to write(as I had to abstain from any comment that shows some shipping context and you wouldn't believe how much I had to cut off). I was actually disheartened by the fact that this didn't get as much attention, no matter the reason. I got the feeling that I am that lame kid who obsesses over something most people don't even care about. I will watch some episodes just for battle alone, the reason why I love BW. Especially the episode, BW068 An amazing Aerial Battle. That was so ducking good and when at last the theme song played, I was completely agreeing with Skyla about how an air battle should be. I know dumb but I can't help it.

1) Isn't it expected? Squirtle not so much, but Bulbasaur maintains peace at Lab, do you really think any normal bulbasaur can do it? And also in story cannon is that he trained with Oak's Venasaur.
2) I guess you are telling me that you want to use Swellow instead of Squirtle? Or Gible?I took Squirtle because of favoritism towards it(even though he was swiftly defeated), so sorry. And Gible because he can't fight a steel and water type so easily.
3) Thanks for the praise. I gave it so that Butterfree can stand in the battle without Plot armor(I hate those kinds of battles. Plot armor should be in small doses not god awful amounts that can be easily pointed out).
4) My thoughts exactly. It was as if they wanted Ash to not win at all. Give him a fair match and then make him lose. Also, I loved writing Tyranitar. He will definitely pop out as many times as I can.
5) I really didn't want to get into a shipping war(I abstain from all, Jade, on other hand, has no shame). I also wanted to help show both of them a little grown up.
6) Ahh man, I forgot about that. I didn't know about it until recently. It is an unova specific and I should have included that. But even I can't get in all the ideas, _sigh_, the pains and disappointments of a writer.
7) Exactly, Giovanni doesn't care at all. That is what I wanted to tell those who knew. He has no sense of right or empathy, only completely corkscrew twisted sanity. And thanks for the review, I wasn't pretty sure about the team but went with it. Glad to see it being approved and not bashed left and right.

Let's take off.
"This is an official gym battle between Challenger Ash and Gym leader Marlon." The referee declared.
Ash stood on one end of the so-called battlefield. It is a very short gulf. All three sides of the field were surrounded by rocks while one side led to the Ocean, bringing in waves and water. Although there is a net to prevent any wild pokemon or wild waves from entering the 'field'. And lastly there were some platforms that were swaying with the waves of the ocean. Ash and Marlon both were in their swimsuits as Ash was still trying to be balanced on a platform.
Both the referee and Ash's friends were on the shores, which were elevated from ocean level.
When Ash had asked for a gym battle, Marlon had warned him that it would be very hard as this is his ninth badge, an additional badge. But Ash wanted to. He always wanted to get more than eight badges once and beat Gary at it. But he never has time to try for a ninth one, forget the tenth badge. So when he saw he had enough time, he wanted to get his ninth gym badge.
"Battle begin." The referee declared, being done explaining the rules.
"Jellicent, I chose you." Marlon sent out his Jellicent as his first pokemon.
"Jellicent, the floating pokemon. The evolved form of Frillish.
Jellicent propels itself in water by expelling absorbed seawater. Most of its body is composed of seawater. Their favorite food is life energy.
The blue color indicates this is a male Jellicent."
'What the hell is wrong with Unova? Pokemon here are really deadly.' Ash thought, "Pikachu, let's do this buddy." Ash said.
Pikachu nodded and lept from Ash's shoulder and landed on a platform. Ash was again trying to balance the platform.
'Ughh, feel the waves and fluidity? That is the worst excuse ever, I feel like one wrong move and my stomach will be emptied. This is ridiculous.' Ash thought as the platform finally stabilized.
"Jellicent, use scald." Marlon ordered.
"Dodge it with quick attack." Ash ordered.
Jellicent opened his mouth and shot a stream of water at Pikachu, who was covered in white energy as he dashed across the platforms. But Pikachu too was having difficulty as the platforms were not stable and uniform.
"Keep it coming." Marlon ordered.
"Pikachu, keep up the speed and use Iron tail on the water." Ash commanded.
Pikachu pressed on his hindlegs as he shot forward with all of his speed. He stopped the quick attack once he was launched from the platform and twirled around as he swiped the iron tail on the water. The swipe created a splash of different proportions but all towards Jellicent.
"Counter with ominous winds." Marlon ordered.
The tidal splash was quickly dispelled by the ominous winds, which proceeded outward towards Pikachu. But Pikachu was nowhere to be seen.
"Iron tail and Quick attack, come out." Ash ordered.
Pikachu, currently underwater, surrounded himself with some white energy and streaked across. And he would stop the quick attack and charge the iron tail to be stiff enough to make a turn. Pikachu kept using this method to propel and aim from Jellicent's back.
"Electro ball" Ash ordered.
Pikachu went for the surface and came out of water with incredible speed and charged his electro ball, proceeded to yeet it at Jellicent.
"Discharge with your scald." Marlon ordered.
Jellicent stopped the electro ball with its tentacles, but Electro ball was far too fast and discharged the minute it made contact with Jellicent. But Jellicent lowered itself onto water and used Scald. Which seemingly discharged the electric attack.
"What is even happening?" Iris asked from the shore.
"Hmm, if I have to guess, Marlon is using Jellient ability to absorb and eject seawater, passing on the charge onto the ejecting seawater. A never before seen recipe. Such a distinctive experience, we have to see what Ash will do." Cilan said.
"Pikachu, use thunderbolt." Ash ordered.
Pikachu, who had landed on a platform, unleashed an eclectic attack on the Jellicent, who dissipated it similarly to the previous time.
"Jellicent, will-o-wisp." Marlon ordered.
Jellicent brought its arms together and shot three orbs of blue fire onto Pikachu. Pikachu tried to escape the move, but the platform made it hard for him and he slipped into the ocean. Yet, the move hit and Pikachu was burned.
"Thunderbolt" Ash ordered again.
Pikachu, this time, stayed in water and unleashed a bolt of electricity on Jellicent. Jellicent had some difficulty this time but the thunderbolt was dissipated.
'Ohh, so that's how it is dissipating my thunderbolt.' Ash thought as he got a plan forming. But Pikachu was suddenly encased in a smoky purple aura as he fell to his knees. 'So, it did have Cursed body like Trip's Frillish. Damn this is getting harder.'
"Pikachu, propel yourself again." Ash ordered.
Pikachu surrounded himself with white energy as he shot forward, not as fast as underwater since he was swimming now, but fast enough. He thanked Misty for her swimming classes, or Psyduck for never listening.
"Use Hex." Marlon ordered.
Jellicent's colors changed purple and negative as Pikachu was surrounded by purple gas as he was hit by the burn too. But he kept moving forward.
'That's one resilient one.' Marlong thought, "Use scald."
"Now, toss Jellicent upwards." Ash ordered.
Pikachu went below the surface and pumped up all of the remaining speed into Iron tail on Jellicent. The attack was strong enough to throw Jellicent out of water into the air.
"Electro ball" Ash ordered.
Pikachu unleashed another electro ball and this time with no way to dissipate, Jellicent took the super effective attack.
"Jellicent is unable to battle." The referee declared.
But suddenly Pikachu was once again surrounded by a smoky purple haze as he fell to his knees and the burn hurt him again.
"A very risky gambit, considering Jellicent's cursed body. But the outcome was truly delicious. We can leave it to Ash to come up with such awesome dishes." Cilan exclaimed.
"Pikachu, return." Ash called.
"You did a great job buddy, thanks." Ash said as he petted Pikachu's head.
"Go Swanna." Malron sent out his Swanna.
Ash knew Pikachu wanted to battle and win the match, but with two moves disabled and left with physical moves after being burned, an unstable field against a flying pokemon was pretty bad odds.
"Unfezant, I chose you." Ash called his bird pokemon.
"Swanna, use aerial ace." Marlon ordered.
"You too, Unfezant." Ash countered.
Both Unfezant and Swanna took to the sky and started circling each other. No matter how much they tried, it seems both were equally matched in speed and flexibility in air, causing the dance to continue on, no one scoring a hit.
"Unfezant, charge up higher." Ash ordered.
Marlon was left wondering what Ash was trying to do, but he wasn't going to let go of this opportunity.
"Use Hurricane." Marlon commanded.
Swanna flapped its wings violently, using up all the speed charged from Aerial Ace into the hurricane move. The hurricane picked up a lot of water, turning into a rising column of water towards Unfezant.
"Thanks for the move. Now, charge in with steel wing. Dissipate the hurricane." Ash countered.
Unfezant stopped its ascent and made a nose-dive into the hurricane. She charged up the steel wing and started rotating along with the hurricane. As Unfezant descended into the hurricane, her speed increased and the steel wing provided protection by forming a layer of steel around her as she was rotating. With the added descent and rotatory speed, Unfezant was easily able to tear through the hurricane.
"Now, Aerial ace." Ash ordered.
Once Unfezant had enough speed, instead of charging up for the move, she flapped her wings to make the flight go horizontal from vertical, a L-shaped dive. Towards Swanna.
"Use surf." Marlon ordered.
Swanna flapped her wings as a large wave of water rose up against Unfezant. But Unfezant easily cut through the wave and attacked Swanna.
The blow was so strong that Swanna was pushed several feet into the air. It took some time before Swanna could gain her senses back from the blow, but she was already descending by the. Not to waste any opportunity,
"Swanna, use hurricane." Marlon ordered.
"Unfezant, Aerial ace." Ash ordered. He knew the last attack took a lot of Unfezant but one more hit Swanna will be done for.
Unfezant locked its aim on Swanna and flapped its wings, flying towards Swanna. Swanna whipped up a hurricane but Unfezant easily dodged it by flying around it.
Swanna was hit by Aerial ace, causing her to crash into the ocean and when she floated back, she had fainted.
"Swanna is unable to battle." The referee declared.
"Thanks Swanna. It was an amazing strategy Ash, using Hurricane to ramp up your speed, ignoring its damage and being able to control that speed. I am impressed but this battle is far from over. Go Simipour." Marlon bought out his Simipour.
"Unfezant return. Thanks buddy. Now, Scrafty, help us out." Ash called out his scrafty. Contrary to Ash, Scrafty stood steadily on his platform.
"Simipour, aqua tail." Marlon ordered.
Simipour started spinning and jumped towards Scrafty, with the aqua tail ready to charge with great momentum.
"High jump kick." Ash ordered.
Scrafty pressed his feet forward hard and angled his body forward, tilting the platform to be normal to incoming Simipour. Then, he jumped forward, with his left knee coated in yellow energy at blinking speeds.
Both attacks collided and were equally canceled out as they landed back.
"Use Scary face." Ash said.
Scrafty's face darkened as he took on a venomous glare that paralyzed Marlon himself.
"Use scald." Marlon ordered.
"Hold it off." Ash ordered.
Scrafty firmly planted his feet and threw his upper body forward, causing the platform to once again tilt as Simipour jumped high and shot out a strong stream of boiling hot water from her tail. Scrafty lifted its sack and held it against scald, successfully deflecting the attack. Scrafty pushed all the momentum from attack onto the platform, which was inclined, thus was not only skidding but also pushing against water, helping to dissipate the force.
"Now, use payback." Ash ordered.
Scrafty's body glowed red and Scrafty shot forward from its position like a bullet onto Simipour and gave a swift circular knee kick to her gut from above. Simipour crashed down with enough force to break through the platform.
'I need to be careful with the platforms.' Ash thought.
"Scrafty, proceed with high jump kick." Ash ordered.
Scrafty from its position on top came crashing towards Simipour with his right knee coated in yellow energy.
"Go into the water and get ready with Aqua tail." Marlon said.
Simipour dived down into the water, successfully avoiding the attack. Scrafty crashed down onto the surface creating a great splash and was propelled down into water. His face was contorted in pain from missing the attack.
'It seems Scrafty was too fast for the water to cushion the fall.' Ash thought. "Focus blast."
Scrafty brought its hand together and created a concentrated ball of energy, but was hit by an aqua tail that threw him out of water, several feet into the air.
"Use hydro pump." Marlon ordered.
Simipour shot a very powerful stream of water, aiming at Scrafty.
"High jump kick." Ash countered.
Scrafty's left knee took a yellow glow as he brought it down on the hydro pump. The water stream was pushed down by the high jump kick, the altitude difference making up for the power.
Marlon was impressed by the raw power this Scrafty holded.
"Turn it into Scald." Marlon ordered.
"Scrafty, quickly use focus blast." Ash ordered.
Scrafty charged up the focus blast fast and aimed it at Simipour's tail, making the scald fire off in another direction.
"Now, payback." Ash ordered.
"Use low sweep." Marlon ordered.
"This is turning into a speed battle. Whoever gets the moves first will win and both sides are trying to decrease each other's speed. Such a spicy taste, with the right amount of salt." Cilan exclaimed from the side, causing Iris to sigh.
The low sweep and Payback hit back to back and when the attack ended, both were panting heavily, Scrafty on a platform and Simipour in water. Then Scrafty fell to his knee as a blue aura surrounded him and his speed fell. Simipour smiled at the pokemon before he too lost consciousness.
"Simipour is unable to battle." The referee declared.
"Wait, how did this happen?" Iris asked.
"Simipour didn't look like it but she took 2 high jump kicks, a focus blast and powered up payback and normal or powered up payback compared to Scrafty who took 2 aqua tails and a low sweep. The scald was deflected." Cilan explained.
Iris completely forgot about the attack part thanks to both of them dishing them out left and right but it did make sense now.
"Scrafty, can you keep going?" Ash asked. Scrafty replied with a thumbs up.
"Seismitoad, come out." Marlon bought his Seismitoad out.
"Scrafty, use high jump kick." Ash ordered.
Scrafty readied the attack and charged at Seismitoad, who stood strong. When the kick came, Seismitoad held back Scrafty. The blow didn't seem to make a dent on Seismitoad.
"Drain punch." Marlon commanded.
Seismitoad punched Scrafty right in the gut, strong enough to blow Scrafty off its feet as he regained some health.
When Scrafty fell down to the platform, he tried to back up, but a sudden poison bubbled out of him as he fainted.
"Scrafty is unable to continue." The referee declared.
"Thanks for your effort Scrafty. So, Seismitoad has poison touch." Ash smiled, "Serpeiror come out."
"A grass type heh? My Seismitoad is known for clearing through many of the grass types trainers hope to defeat me with." Marlon said proudly as Seismitoad boasted by flexing his muscles.
"Isn't Seismitoad 4 times weak to grass? For a gym leader, why doesn't he know about the types first? Heh, what a kid." Iris exclaimed.
Serperior ignored the Seismitoad as it had a sharp smile on her face.
"A gym battle is always beyond the type chart Iris. We may see why." Cilan pointed out.
"A chance huh? We don't think you can attack us for long." Ash said as Serperior stood up to her fullest length.
"Use solar beam." Ash commanded.
"Not so fast, use rain dance." Marlon countered. He knew how dangerous solar beam can be with Serperior.
"Serperior, use leaf blade." Ash ordered.
"Seismitoad, bull doze." Marlon commanded.
Seismitoad stomped the platform as he kicked up some dirt. Then he leapt from the platform and shot towards Serperior. Serperior though. Just avoided the attack by contorting the part of her body that was about to hit away.
"Use attract." Ash ordered.
Marlon was surprised. Serperior dissolved the leaf blade and batted her eyelashes at Seismitoad's back, who was still in the air.
"Drain punch them." Marlon ordered.
But Seismitoad wasn't enough in midair to turn and hit the attacks, so he hit and infatuated with Serperior.
"Use dragon pulse, then unleash your solar beam." Ash ordered.
"Seismitoad, use venoshock." Marlon ordered. But Seismitoad was still infatuated as Serperior charged her dragon pulse and shot it forward at Seismitoad. Seismitoad was toppled by the attack yet was still infatuated.
"Come on, snap out of it, Seismitoad. I will get you your favorite seaweed too." Marlon tried coaxing the pokemon but it was not working and Serperior started charging up her solarbeam.
'I should have taken him to the daycare yesterday itself. I shouldn't have postponed this. Hope he doesn't go far.' Marlon thought as Seismitoad started swaying towards Serperior.
Even though the sun was obscured, the solar beam was charged up and released strong regardless due to Serperior's nature to boost taken in solar power. The solar beam to face was enough to bring Seismitoad out of its infatuation, although Seismitoad was seriously hurt now.
"Use bulldoze again." Marlon ordered, wanting some speed to dodge the royal pokemon.
"Serperior, fight back with Dragon pulse." Ash ordered.
Serperior smirked as she easily dodged the incoming pokemon, mostly due to her speed and his injuries. She then proceeded to unleash a beam of draconic energy on the pokemon.
"Ice punch." Marlon ordered.
Seismitoad, thanks to the increased speed, was able to swirl in midair in time to use Ice punch upon the incoming draconic beam. The ice beam was able to block the attack initially, causing it to break into multiple smaller beams. But Seismitoad couldn't keep up the attack as he was already near his limit. And soon he fell.
"Seismitoad is unable to battle." The referee declared.
"And that's the power of dragon types. Ash should be eternally grateful that I taught Serperior a dragon type move. After all, only royal pokemon can recognize a true master and seek her help. " Iris exclaimed, her axew agreeing proudly.
"Servine came to you when you were practicing the dragon pulse with Axew and learned from there on its own. I think this is a testament to Serperior's superior grace and power, a delightful chef's kiss." Cilan exclaimed.
"Can't you once not include a cooking pun somewhere in your opinion sharing?" Iris asked, irritated and bummed as she can't argue about that.
"Using attract? Isn't that a little dirty?" Marlon asked.
"All is fair in a war." Ash said.
"That's not the entire thing but whatever. Go, Samurott." Marlon bought out his male Samurott. 'Lets see if the kid figured this out.'
"Serperior, use dragon pulse." Ash ordered.
'Maybe not. The counter to counter is never expected, is it?' Marlon thought happily.
"Samurott, use razor shell, dual chopper." Marlong ordered.
Samurott unsheathed his shell from both his frontal legs and stood upon his hindlegs as he pushed him off the platform with both razor shells charged. Just as he was about to collide with Dragon pulse, he crossed the blades in front of him. Due to rain boosting both of the blades, Smaurott's blades were able to counter the move.
"Now, use hydro pump." Marlon commanded.
Samurott pumped out a large stream of water at Serperior who dodged it nimbly, but since she was on a platform with no strong base, she was yeeted from the platform as the hydro pump hit the other side of platform.
"Aim and use hydro pump again." Marlon ordered.
"Counter with leaf blade." Ash countered.
Samurott locked his target on Serperior and shot a stream of water on her as Serperior contorted her snake-like body to put some momentum behind her tail as she countered the incoming stream with her leaf blade.
But the rain once again helped the hydro pump over power Serperior as she was thrown off balance by the attack and fell crashing on a platform. And just as she crashed, the rain disappeared.
"Well, we got an opening. Use solar beam." Ash ordered.
"Use Ice beam." Marlon ordered.
"Serperior, dodge it." Ash ordered.
Serperior abandoned charging up the solar power as she escaped the beam by a small margin. The platform that Serperior was on is now covered in ice.
'That was a close call.' Ash thought as he released a breath of relief, "Serperior use dragon pulse."
"Into the water, Samurott." Marlon said.
Samurott shot forward into the water, dodging the dragon pulse.
"X-scissor." Marlon ordered.
Samurott swam faster underwater and in no time shot out of water in front of Serperior with both his frontal limbs crossed in x-shape and a dirty green X in front.
"Leaf blade." Ash ordered.
Serperior bought the leaf blade just in time but the attack lacked any real power and Serperior was sent flying from the platform.
"Serperior, all you alright?" Ash asked.
Serperior floated back to the surface and nodded to Ash. But Serperior got onto a platform and pointedly looked at Ash and Samurott.
"Samurott, X-scissor once again." Marlon ordered.
This time Samurott shot forward at the panting Serperior with the blades ready, while Serperior looked more defiant than ever.
"Attract." Ash ordered.
'Shit, he did find out after all.' Marlon thought as his Samurott got attracted and crashed down onto the platform while Serperior just hoped away.
"Serperior, solar beam." Ash ordered.
Marlon saw that Samurott doesn't seem to be coming out of infatuation anytime soo. He couldn't blame him, as far as he knew the royal pokemon's fur(is that what it is even called? Marlon didn't know) was the perfect color of green, that adds to allure? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the daycare old man.
"Dewott, this is just an obstacle. Once you go over this, the power of two blades lies within you." Marlon shouted. He knew these words would get through Samurott, remind him of the days he trained to be the disciplined pokemon he is.
Just as expected, Samurott's eyes lost their pink color, although there is a slight pink hue.
"Samurott." The formidable pokemon shouted.
"That's it, let's go. X-scissor." Marlon ordered.
Samurott shot forward from the water at Serperior with X-scissor like before but this time Serperior was charged with enough solar power, one Samurott failed to notice as he didn't look at her much.
Serperior released the attack in close range, but X-scissor was able to cut through it. An explosion took place and when dust cleared, both unovan starters were unable to battle.
"Samurott and Serperior are unable to battle." The referee declared.
"Thanks Serperior, you were truly impressive." Ash said, "Samurott, come out."
"You too have a Samurott?" Marlon asked as he sighed, "We could have had a Samurott alpha battle."
"Hehe, I guess I forgot about that in the heat of battle?" Ash said as he scratched his neck.
"But now, my secret weapon, Carracosta, onto the battlefield." Marlon said.
"Woah, A Carracosta?" Ash replied in wonder as he took out his pokedex.
"Carracosta, the prototurtle pokemon.
Amphibian in nature, Carracosta's appendages are strong enough to punch a hole in the bottom of a tanker. Their incredible jaws are known to chew through steel and rock, even Omaster shells, easily, making their shells even sturdier and thicker."
"Of course, Carracosta is a prehistoric pokemon. Their battling style can completely throw off a trainer, as not only does it move differently, the execution too varies. Just like a long forgotten recipe, it is bound to catch anyone who tastes it off guard." Cilan said.
"One evaluation without cooking and one of my life's goals will be fulfilled." Iris said as she sighed and plopped down onto the railings.
"Samurott, use hydro pump." Ash ordered.
"Carracosta, dodge it. Then go for crunch." Marlon ordered.
As Samurott shot the hydro pump from the platform, Carracosta dived into the water and disappeared into the water. Then, Carracosta appeared to the left of Samurott and used Crunch on him.
"Samurott, Revenge." Ash ordered.
"Into the water." Marlon said.
"You too, Samurott." Ash commanded.
Samurott entered the water after Carracosta and unleashed a sphere of orange glow towards Carracosta, who was surprised by the attack.
'That is a really hard way to use revenge. But it leaves the user heavily exhausted.' Marlon thought.
"Carracosta, smack down." Marlon ordered.
Carracosta swam towards Samurott and smacked the pokemon on the head. Samurott was propelled down till he hit the surface of land below the ocean.
Samurott, due to being a water type, has no problem with being underwater and he would shine here. But Carracosta are known for their underwater power and speed.
"Shell smash." Marlon ordered.
Ash's eyes widened at the order. Smell smash, albeit available to a few pokemon, is a really dangerous move. Especially if pokemon are in their element, their defenses may drop but their attack and speed increase double.
"Samurott, use aqua jet and come out." Ash ordered.
Orange cracks formed on the yellow glowing shell of Carracosta while Samurott instantly powered up the aqua jet and came out of water.
"Smack down." Marlon ordered.
Just as Samurott landed on a platform, Carracosta appeared behind him and hit him with a smack down on the back. The blow was strong enough to make Samurott break through the platform.
"Now, use hydro pump." Marlon ordered.
"Counter with aqua jet." Ash said.
Samurott once again instantly charged up the stream of water ahead of him and jumped away from the hydro pump, easily dodging it and flew towards Carracosta.
"Crunch." Marlon ordered.
Carracosta leapt at Samurott with her jaws wide open to Crunch Samurott's other leg.
"Use razor shell." Ash ordered.
Samurott let out a roar as he unsheathed one of his scalchops and dissipated the aqua jet around him. Using his momentum, he charged up his razor shell and threw the blade at incoming Carracosta.
The spinning blade hit Carracosta under her chin as Samurott brought down another razor shell on her. But the attack wasn't enough to deter Carracosta as she bit a frontal leg of Samurott, who shouted in pain as she yeeted him onto a platform, nearly breaking it.
'The second razor shell wasn't powerful enough. Maybe due to the first bite, but that would mean Samurott can't use his left frontal leg.' Ash assessed the situation with a frown, he could do this with an injury to leg. But given Carracosta's jaws can chew through Steel, he should be grateful.
"Carracosta smack down." Marlon ordered.
"Samurott, revenge and then Razor shell backwards." Ash commanded.
Samurott smirked as he leapt off the platform with his horn glowing orange.
Carracosta, who was in midair, couldn't escape the blow to gut from Samurott's horn but just as she was about to bring down her appendage on Samurott to smack him down, the appendage was hit with a razor shell.
Marlon was amazed that Samurott was able to razor shell with his hindlimbs, which was a rarity among the Oshawott line. Not only should the Oshawaott have a perfect scalchop but also be able to use it very dexterously and go through some rigorous training exercise to understand the multiple scalchops.
Samurott tossed his head aside as Carracosta was thrown away.
"Samurott, aqua jet combo." Ash ordered.
Once again in midair, Samurott surrounded himself with an aqua jet as he flew upwards.
"Carracosta, land into the water and use hydro pump." Marlon ordered. He had no idea what the combo was or why Samurott was flying upwards.
Carracosta dived into the water and shot a powerful stream of water at Samurott, who once again dodged the stream with his aqua jet and then proceeded to take a u-turn.
Samurott descended upon Carracosta faster than ever and charged a powerful razor shell in front of him, then spinned to create a really strong spinning drill in front of him.
"Use shell smash and escape it." Marlon ordered. The move looked positively dangerous and he wasn't going to see if Carracosta would be up after the attack.
Carracosta's shell broke and her speed increased exponentially as she swam away from the attack. But unfortunately for her, the Aqua jet propelled into the water and chased her.
Carracosta was able to keep ahead of the attack easily but then the shell slightly moved back and up, which Marlon got the hint of.
"Carracosta, watch your back and use smack down." Marlon ordered.
Just like he predicted the spinning razor was launched, but instead of going straight the attack was moving in a circular arc.
But Carracosta kept track of the incredibly fast moving blade but was hit in the gut with an aqua jet, she forgot. Thus, when the blade came, she was unprepared and took the hit. After the attack, she fainted and Samurott came behind her as he sheathed his scalchop and lifted her to Marlon.
"Wow, that is a very well trained Samurott. But I have to say, it must have been very hard raising it as oshawott and dewott." Marlon commented while he returned Carracosta.
Ash grinned as he rubbed the back of his neck while Samurott turned away in embarrassment. As Oshawott, he was very energetic and lively, making it hard to keep up with. Especially training him to forgo using his scalchop to defend always. But once evolved, all the goofy nature died down into a serious attitude who trained harder than ever before with his scalchops.
The mood swings and many other things made it hard to raise him as Dewott but Ash raised him well and strong, even though he is the troublesome pokemon he ever raised.
"Ash ketchum, a Samurott's true strength reflects how well he was raised and supported while he was a dewott. The dewott stage is a test to the oshawott line, the right choices can help Samurott grow stronger while it maynot be apparent. So, I am proud to give you this wave badge." Marlon said as he gave Ash the badge.
Ash, Pikachu and Samurott jumped in the air to give their victory pose as Marlon smiled.
Jade: And that's the end.
Junior: It feels weird. Ending the chapter abruptly, but I am not sure what else I have to write. And no matter what this chapter feels inadequate. Like this isn't how the 9th chapter should be.
Jade: You just wrote your best one yet, so it will take some time for you to understand. Don't worry.

I grew up with pokemon. Ash taught me a lot of valuable qualities, but as I grew up, I wanted to see him grow up too. I wanted him to settle and struggle like I did. And this is why those explicit ones are so popular. Not because they are fap-material but because they are something we all wish for to happen. Something that is a common wish, but I will agree some people butcher this.
Like I read Ash's adventures: girl's hunter edition, that is how an explicit fic should be(except the age part ofc). Or fighting dreamers or Shadow of time or the roommate from kanto or even the stories of Episil0nCha0s. They are some really good material, but at the same time there are some bad ones like hypno harem and all. So, I hope I gave you a new perspective other than we are perverts.
