Chapter two

5 year to war

5 years later

"So I, uh, went on a date the other day. It's the first time in five years. You know? I'm sitting there at dinner. I didn't even know what to talk about." A man said.

"What did you talk about?" Steve asked. "Eh, same old crap. You know, how things have changed." The man took a breath. "My job, his job. How much we miss the mets." The man continued.

"And then things got quiet… then he cried as they were serving the salads." He said. "What about you?" Naruto asked.

"I cried just before dessert." The man replied to Naruto. "But I'm seeing him again tomorrow, so…" The man led off.

"That's great, you did the hardest part. You took the jump. You didn't know where you were gonna come down. And that's it. That's those little brave baby steps we gotta take to try and become whole again, to try and find purpose." Steve nodded as he comforted the man.

"I went in the ice in '45, right after I met the love of my life. Woke up 70 years later." Steve said.

"I was a parah in my city for my entire childhood, grew up to be its savior to have it disappear and be left with only my son." Naruto explained.

Steve nodded. "You gotta move on. Gotta move on." Steve looked down, trying to control his emotions.

"The world is in our hands. It's left to us, guys. And we gotta do something with it." Naruto nodded. "Otherwise… Thanos should've killed all of us."

"Thank you for coming to this meeting, but I'm afraid we are out of time." Steve said as everyone stood up.

"Hey Naruto." Steve spoke up. "I gotta see Tony and Morgan tomorrow, haven't seen them much since she started preschool." Naruto said, making the first Avenger to nod.

"Alright, I'll be at H.Q." Steve replied. "Are you going to check in with Nat?" Steve nodded.

"See you then." Naruto waved his hand before disappearing in a flash of yellow.

With Boruto in the elemental nations

Since the snap Boruto has trained harder than any shinobi has before. His master, Sasuke, came to Earth to bring him back but Naruto gave both a phone to keep in touch. With the help of Tony, they were able to get a signal strong enough to transmit back to earth.

Boruto looks like his timeskip self but with his normal headband and keeps the scar. He got the scar when Sarada cut his eye to stop Momoshiki from seeing his surroundings, causing him to use the rest of his data to heal the eye.

This caused Momoshiki to not be able to reincarnate via Boruto, instead giving Boruto the DNA and chakra of an Otsutsuki.

We now see a 17 year old Boruto training with Sarada. "You aren't taking advantage of opening Boruto." Sarada said, annoyed.

"Because we both know I could win without doing so." Boruto smirked. "Oh, is that a challenge?" Sarada activated her fully matured sharingan. "Come here and find out." Boruto flirted, making the Uchiha girl blush and run at him full speed.

Boruto smirked. He dodged the incoming girl and grabbed both of her wrists and pinned her to the tree, pushing his knee between her legs.

"You pinned me Boruto-baka, what now?" Sarada asked, making the boy blush. "Get away from her, Boruto." A voice spoke out. "D-Dad!" "Sasuke-sensei!" Both the teenagers yelled.

"Boruto, we gotta go to Earth." Sasuke said in his Uchiha attitude. "Why, is it time for school? Thought it was summer break." Boruto asked. Naruto made Boruto go to school on earth and he's made quite a reputation with his looks, the scar is apparently a lady killer.

"Just pack your ninja tools and hurry." Sasuke said.

"Woah, is something happening?" Boruto walked over to his master. Sasuke nodded.

Boruto disappeared in a flash of yellow and black.

Hokage tower

"Sasuke-sensei, I'm ready." Boruto said as a vortex appeared. "Boruto-kun!" Sarada yelled. "When will you be back?" She asked. Boruto sighed and said. "Whenever this problem is solved, I'll bring your father back to you." Boruto said.

"You better, baka." Sarada leaned in and kissed his cheek. Boruto smiled and walked to his master. "Let's go." The blonde yelled as both master and student jumped into the portal.

Earth: New york; lake cabin

Naruto sat in Tony's house, waiting for Boruto and Sasuke to appear. "The kid'll be here Naruto, we're still trying to figure all this out." Tony said.

Ding!

"Shit!" Naruto turned around, seeing Tony flabbergasted at the successful hologram. "Shit." A little girl said behind Tony, making both Naruto and Tony look at her with wide eyes.

"Shhhh." Tony shook his head as he put a finger to his mouth. "What are you doing up, little miss?" Tony asked.

"Shit." Morgan smiled. "Nope, we don't say that. Only mommy says that word. She coined it. It belongs to her" Tony lectured his daughter. "Why are you up?" Morgan asked.

"'Cause I've got some important shit going on here! What do you think?" Tony said, making Morgan tilt her head. "No, I got something on my mind. I got something on my mind." Tony softened his eyes.

'Heh.' Naruto thought, having gone through the same thing with Boruto and Himawari.

"Was it juice pop?" the little Stark asked. "Sure was." Tony replied, looking at Naruto. "That's extortion. That's a word." Tony stood up, taking Morgan to get some ice cream. "What kind you want?" He asked his daughter. "Great minds think alike. Juice pops exactly was on my mind." Tony said, looking at the hologram of the mobius strip.

Naruto sighed as he stood up from his seat, finding a portal appeared from nowhere. "Finally." the blonde x-kage sighed.

Whoosh

A 17 year old Boruto and Sasuke appeared in front of Naruto who was still looking at the hologram. "Woah, Tony-jisan has so many cool gadgets." Boruto exclaimed as he looked at the futuristic tech.

"Shhhhh!" Naruto covered his son's mouth. "Morgan is being put to bed." Naruto whispered. Boruto and Morgan were inseparable when he was on earth, which pissed Pepper off. "Shit, sorry dad." Boruto whispered.

"I love you 3000." They heard from upstairs.

Tony walked in with two popsicle sticks. "Oh well if it isn't blonde junior and his friend." Tony smirked.

Tony walked over to the sofa that Pepper was sitting on. "Not that it's a competition, but she loves me 3,000." Tony gloated. "Does she, now?" Pepper asked. "You were somewhere in the low 6 to 900 range." Tony said, causing Pepper and Naruto to chuckle. "Whatcha reading?" Tony spoke up.

"Pepper looked at him then back at the book. "Just a book on composting." She said.

"What's new with composting?" Tony asked, still looking at the hologram. Pepper looked at Naruto, who was smiling while Boruto looked in the fridge for soda. "Interesting science.." "I figured it out." Tony interrupts her.

"Figured what out?" She looked up at him. "And, you know, just so we're talking about the same thing." Tony looked at Sasuke and back at his wife. "Time travel." He said, simply.

Pepper looked shocked. "What?" a moment of silence. "Wow." Pepper had no words. "That's, um… Amazing and extremely terrifying." She said, "That's right." Tony sat down as Naruto and Boruto walked to their home.

Naruto walked into the kitchen and sighed. He was remembering the conversation with Steve and a new guy named Scott Lang.

Flashback no jutsu

Naruto and Tony were walking to a small tent outside Tony's cabin. Tony clapped his hands. "Chow time!" Naruto shouted.

"Maguna." Tony called out, sitting on a comically small chair as Naruto laid his back on the tree next to Tony. "Morgan H. Stark, we have a guest for lunch." Tony said. A moment later a little girl, wearing a metal helmet came out and said. "Define 'lunch', or be disintegrated." Morgan held up a glove, making Naruto snort.

"Okay." Tony said, "You shouldn't be wearing that, okay? That is part of a special anniversary gift I'm making for mom." Tony kissed his daughter on the cheek, if the helmet weren't in the way.

"There you go." Tony fixed his daughter's hair. "You thinking about lunch?" Tony asked. "I always am." Naruto spoke up, making the little girl spin her head around to him. "Unc Naruto!" She yelled as she hugged his legs. Naruto smiled.

Naruto was like an uncle to Morgan and a mentor to Pepper and Tony when it came to being parents. Boruto was like the older brother to Morgan in the couple's eyes.

"How are you doing, Morgan? Where did you find that anyway?" Naruto saw the little girl play with her hair. "Garage." Tony raised an eyebrow. "Really? Were you looking for it?" Morgan shook her head "No, I found it. though" Naruto shook his head and smiled.

'This looks familiar.' Naruto thought.

"Oi Naruto." A voice spoke out. 'Kurama? Where the hell have you been?' Naruto asked. "Been saving your ass, your body was decomposing, I used my chakra to stop that from happening." Kurama said. "WAIT WHAT?!" Naruto yelled, making the two Starks look at him.

"Sorry, talking to my tenant." Naruto laughed. 'So how come you didn't shut up before?' Naruto asked.

"Because I had enough chakra back then, it took me a few days till I had to recharge." Kurama stated. 'Ah so that's why it was peaceful.' Naruto teased. "Go to hell." Kurama went back to sleep.

"Lazy ass fox." Naruto muttered. "Okay?" Tony picked Morgan up and found a black car pulling up. "Oh they're here." Naruto said, raising a brow

Steve and Natasha got out of the car with a man that was supposed to be dead, Scott Lang. Tony continued to walk onto the deck as Naruto waved, Natasha smiling and waving back as Steve nodded.

A few minutes later

Tony was pouring some juice for his guests as Scott was explaining his theory. Stammering Scott says, "No, we know what it sounds like." "Tony, after everything you've seen, is anything really impossi-" "Quantum fluctuation messes with the planck scale, which then triggers the Deutch Proposition. Can we agree on that?" Tony hands them their glasses.

"What?" Naruto deadpanned. "In layman's terms, it means you're not coming home." Tony put it simply.

"Ah, thanks for the drink." Naruto said, Tony nodded.

"I did." Scott protested.

"No. You accidentally survived." Tony sighed. "It's a billion-to-one cosmic fluke." Tony said in denial. "And now you wanna pull a… What do you call it?" Tony asked.

"A time heist." Scott smiled.

Tony laughed. "Yeah, a time heist. Of course. Why didn't we think of this before? Oh because it's laughable. Because it's a pipe dream." Tony looked at everyone.

"The stones are in the past. We could go back, we could get them." Steve stated.

"We can snap our own fingers. We can bring everyone back." Natasha said. "Or screw it up worse than he already has, right?" Tony commented.

"I don't believe we would." Steve shook his head.

"Gotta say it. I sometimes miss that giddy optimism. However, high hopes won't help if there's no tangible way for me to safely execute said time heist." Tony laid back in his seat. "I believe the most likely outcome will be our collective demise." Tony crossed his legs as he took a sip of his drink.

"Not if we strictly follow the rules of time travel. All right? It means no talking to our past selves, no betting on sporting events." Scott started but Tony put up a hand, interrupting him.

"I'm gonna stop you right there, Scott… Are you seriously telling me that your plan to save the universe is based on back to the future?" Tony asked.

"What's that?" Naruto asked. "Shut it Naruto." Tony looked at his daughter's godfather then turned back to Scott. "Is it?"

"No." Scott shook his head. "Good. You had me worried there. 'Cause that would be horseshit. That's not how quantum physics works" Tony said.

"Tony." Natasha spoke up. "We have to take a stand."

"We did stand. And yet, here we are." Tony said.

"I know you got a lot on the line. You got a wife, a daughter. But I lost someone very important to me." "So did I." Naruto interrupted scott.

"I lost my family, god forbid if my son also died." Naruto glared at Scott. "I understand how you guys want help, trust me I know better than everyone, but Tony can't risk it." Naruto said but Morgan ran to her dad.

"Mommy told me to come save you and uncle Naruto." Tony picked her up. "Good job, we're saved." Tony stood up from his seat.

"I wish you were coming here to ask me for something else. Anything else. I'm honestly happy to see you guys, I just… Oh, look, the table is set for seven." Tony walked to get back inside but Steve stopped him.

"Tony. I get it. And I'm happy for you. I really am. But this is a second chance." Naruto looked at Tony. "I got my second chance right here, cap. Can't roll the dice on it" Tony held Morgan.

"If you don't talk shop. You can stay for lunch." Tony walked in and Naruto shook Steve's hand. "I'm sorry that he can't help you, try Bruce, he may have some ideas." Naruto said after walking inside.

End flashback no jutsu

"The chance to get Hinata and Hima back… What am I gonna do?" Naruto asked himself. Boruto walked in with gray sweatpants, black shirt. "Hey dad." He said.

"Boruto, how would you feel if you got a chance to go back and save someone from the past?" Naruto asked. "I went back with Sasuke-sensei to save you a few years ago, you were a genin back then." Boruto raised an eyebrow.

"Don't tell me Tony-jisan figured time travel out?" Boruto asked skeptically. He honestly wasn't paying attention the second he got to Tony's house. "He did." Boruto dropped his cup, shattering it. "Damn it Boruto, that was one of the good cups." Naruto groaned.

"I'll clean it, sorry but let's go back… Did you just say he did?!" Boruto widened his eye."Yeah, tomorrow we are going back to avenger's H.Q. to talk to the rest of the team." Naruto explained. "So loser, that's why you brought us here." Sasuke walked in, wet from the shower he took. "Put some damn clothes on teme!" Naruto covered his eyes.

"Sorry, force of habit." Sasuke said, going back to change.

"Ugh tomorrow will decide what Tony does, he's scared for Morgan and Pepper, but he does want to help." Naruto rubbed the back of his head.

"Then let's get there before Tony-jisan does." Boruto grinned. "Yeah."
