Sydney to the Max Season 5: Episode 2 - The Serious Misunderstanding

Sydney was wearing a pink t-shirt and pink skirt as she knocked on the door to Olive's house, and within seconds Olive answered it. A surprised looking Olive then said, "Hey Syd. What are you doing here? Doesn't the movie we're gonna see start at four?" Sydney then said, "Yeah, but you know how I always like to get to the movie early." Olive then said, "Okay. Well, let me do my hair really quick." Sydney looking confused said, "Olive, it's just gonna be you and me at the movie theater together. None of our friends from school will see us." Then Olive held up her phone and said, "They will after I take the necessary selfies of us before and after the movie." Then from the nearby video game room, Olive's older brother Josh stepped out and said, "Hey. You girls gonna play some games? I'm done for the day." Then Sydney said, "We're about to go to the movies, but I'll play a bit while Olive is doing her hair." Josh smiled as he said, "Have fun." Then as Josh walked into the kitchen, Sydney looked at Olive and said, "Wow. Your brother Josh has become so much more polite now... and more cute." Olive looking surprised said, "Eww. He's my brother. Well anyway, be down in just a few minutes."
Sydney then sat down in the video game room and began to play the first video game she found. Then several minutes later Josh stepped into the room and said, "Oh hey there. Just looking for my jacket I left in here." Then the two heard Olive yell, "I'm ready!" Then Sydney tried to get up, but as she did: Josh suddenly tripped on his jacket which was on the floor, and he suddenly fell on top of Sydney. As Sydney fell down on the couch, her skirt began to go up a bit exposing her panties as Josh's hands accidentally touched them as he tried to keep himself from falling all the way down on Sydney. Then suddenly Olive walked into the room, and her eyes got wide as she yelled, "What is going on here!?" Sydney and Josh both looked embarrassed as Josh stood up, while Sydney pulled down her skirt and said, "Olive, it isn't what it looks like." Olive looking shocked said, "I can't believe you Sydney. What would Harry think if he saw you like this!? And you'd do this behind his back... with my own brother!?" Then Olive stormed out of the house, as an upset looking Josh said, "I am so sorry Sydney. I really shouldn't have left my jacket on the floor, and I didn't mean to touch your..." Sydney then said, "It's okay Josh. I'm okay... but Olive clearly isn't."
2 Years Ago:
Olive was getting a snack in the kitchen as she overheard her older brothers Josh and Rusty talking. Olive was barely listening to the two talk when suddenly she heard Josh say, "Man, we need two more players to really make this game more fun. Think we should ask Olive to invite her hot friend over?" Then Rusty said, "Dude. Gross. She's like 13 and you're saying she's hot like you wanna bang her." Josh then said, "Dude, I don't wanna bang her. I mean maybe I'll feel different in a few years, but I'm just saying she's good looking for a 13 year old. That's all. Dude, lets just drop it and see if Wallace and Phillip wanna come over and play with us." Then Olive had a concerned look on her face as she slowly walked out of the kitchen and up towards her bedroom.
Present Day:
Sydney sat in her dad's bike shop at a table looking very nervous as Olive walked in. As Olive sat down facing her, Sydney looked relieved as she held out two smoothies and said, "Olive. I'm so glad you decided to come talk to me." Olive looking serious, didn't accept a smoothie from Sydney as she said, "Yes. We have a lot to talk about. Starting with your apology." Then Sydney looking confused said, "Apology? Olive... it's not what you think. I was just trying to stand up when you told me you were ready to leave for the movie. Josh tripped on his jacket, and fell on top of me. My skirt got caught on the couch, and it accidentally got pulled up a bit. That's it. Josh only touched me for like two seconds, and that's because he was trying to use his hands from falling completely on top of me. He apologized. It's all over." Then Olive looking angry said, "Do you really expect me to believe an insane story like that? I heard how you described Josh before I went upstairs to do my hair. You said he was cute. How could you say that? You're dating Harry." Sydney then said, "Olive, I'm allowed to say a guy looks cute even when I have a boyfriend. I mean you said you thought that lady from that movie we saw last month was beautiful, and I didn't accuse you of cheating on Emmy."
Then Olive looking angry said, "I can't believe you can lie with such a straight face to me like this Sydney. You think I haven't seen enough romance movies to know what the start of a spicy steaming love making scene looks like!? Oh God, how far were gonna go if I decided to use a curling iron on my hair and had been a couple extra minutes? I mean, is this straight face lying the same technique you're gonna use on Harry!?" Then suddenly Max ran over to Sydney and Olive from nearby and said, "Girls, I need you to bring the volume of this conversation down a bit. You are in my store with customers present." Then Olive stood up and with an angry loud voice said, "I'll keep my voice down, once you tell your daughter to keep herself off my brothers!" Then Olive grabbed a smoothie, threw it in Sydney's face, and then stormed out of the shop. Sydney looked both humiliated and sad as she watched Olive storm off.
2 Years Ago:
Olive poked her head into the game room and saw Josh playing a video game by herself. Olive then said, "Is it safe to come in? No girls from your school with their clothes off hiding around?" Josh then looking annoyed said, "Stacy didn't have her clothes off. She just had her skirt pulled up and shirt unbuttoned a little." Then Olive in a sarcastic tone said, "Yeah. And I'm sure it wouldn't have gone any farther if I hadn't walked in on you two and been scarred for life." Then Josh said, "Hey. You don't tell mom about my friends I sneak into the house, and I won't tell her about your friends you sneak in here either." Olive sighed and said, "Deal. But still, I hadn't seen that girl before. Plus, how is it you have like a different girlfriend that suddenly wants to make out with you every week?" Then Josh said, "Eh... I have a way to make any girl like me. I have just irresistible charm." Olive rolled her eyes and said, "Sure. And I bet it had nothing to do with the fact that you're 16 and you can drive a car now, and that girl that was just here was like... 13." Then Josh said, "Hey. Stacy is 14. I have a rule. I never go after girls younger than 14." Then Olive looking worried whispered to herself, "But... me and all my friends will all be 14 by next year of high school." Then Josh said, "You say something Olive?" Then Olive nervously said, "Nothing." Then Olive quickly walked out of the room.
Present Day:
Olive was sitting on a bench in the park in the afternoon looking upset when suddenly Harry walked over to Olive and sat down next to her. Harry then said, "Hey Olive. Everything okay?" Olive looking upset said, "I... I don't know if I should say." Then Harry said, "Well, okay. Anyway, I bought some chocolates for Sydney for our big date this Saturday, and a new stuffed bear. They're in my bag. Wanna see?" Then Olive looking nervous said, "Um..." Then Harry took out the box of chocolates and bear and held them towards Olive as he said, "You think she'll like these?" Then Olive still looking nervous said, "Umm..." Then suddenly Olive heard Sydney yell, "Olive Rozalski!" Olive turned her head and saw Sydney and Josh walking towards them. Sydney with an upset face said, "Why are you accepting chocolates and a bear from Harry!? Have you been seeing him behind my back!? How could you!?" Olive looking nervous said, "It's not what you think Sydney. It's just a simple misunderstanding."
Then suddenly Sydney, Harry, and Josh all began to laugh. A confused looking Olive then said, "What are you all laughing about?" Then Harry said, "Olive, Sydney told me about what happened with her and Josh, and she wanted me to mess with you a bit." Then Olive with wide eyes yelled, "Oh my God! You all are a freaking threesome, and you want me to join you in some freaking incest including foursome!? What is wrong with you people!?" Then Sydney said, "Whoa! Hold on Olive. Me and Josh haven't done anything wrong together. I just asked Harry to prank you, so you'd see how innocent mis-understandings can happen." Then Josh said, "Come on Olive. I may do some crazy stuff, but I promise I wouldn't mess with your best friend." Then Olive stood up and yelled, "Well this wasn't a nice prank! And maybe nothing bad did happen between you and Sydney. But can you blame me after all the terrible things you've done to mom and..." Then suddenly Olive stopped speaking, as a confused Josh said, "To mom?" Then tears appeared in Olive's eyes as she said, "Excuse me." Then Olive ran off as crying, as a concerned Sydney followed after her.
2 Years Ago:
In the middle of the night, Olive heard some sounds coming from downstairs. Olive slowly came down the stairs as she heard soft moans coming from the game room. Olive then poked her head around the corner and saw... her father and a younger woman only in their underwear laying on the couch as they had their arms wrapped around each other while kissing. Olive with wide eyes said, "Dad!?" Olive's father immediately noticed Olive and with shock and shame in his face said, "Olive!? It... it isn't what it looks like." Olive suddenly turned around and ran towards her bedroom crying.
Present Day:
Olive sat near the lake crying as Sydney slowly sat down next to her. Sydney then looked at Olive as she said, "This isn't about me or your brother anymore is it?" Olive turned her head and said, "No. I... Sydney... when my parents got divorced... it really wasn't that big a surprise to me because one night two years ago in the game room... I saw my father about to have sex with some woman that was not my mother." Sydney looking shocked said, "Oh my God. Olive, I..." As Olive moved some tears away from her face she said, "I mean I didn't see them naked or anything. They were just in a state of undress. So when I saw Josh on top of you with it looking like you were starting to undress... it just brought back so many memories and feelings I've kept bottled up and... I got angry. I got angry because when I saw you messing with my brother, all I could think about was my dad messing around with that woman and... why do people do it Sydney? Why do they cheat on people they love? Do they realize what they're doing to themselves, their loved ones, and their families?"
Olive then began to cry again as Sydney let Olive rest her head on her shoulder as she said, "I don't know Olive. But I'm not that woman, and Josh is not your dad, and we didn't do what they did. Olive, I don't know why your dad did what he did. But I'm sure he made a mistake he regrets. And I'm sure he's trying to learn from that mistake so he can be a better man. And I'm sure none of us are gonna make the same mistake he did... because we've now all seen how making that kind of mistake hurts other people that are completely innocent." Olive made a little smile as she said, "Thanks Syd. I... I'm sorry I accused you of..." Sydney interrupted Olive and said, "Hey. We've talked about it now. It's all okay now." Olive nodded her head and said, "All right. But even though we're okay... I still don't feel okay. Do... do you mind if I cry a bit longer?" Sydney then held Olive close as she said, "You're my best friend. You can cry as long as you want." Then Olive hugged Sydney as she continued to cry for the rest of the afternoon.
