Sesshomaru's gaze moves back to the limo to see what nonsense his father has volunteered him to do.
He watched Inuyasha open the door to the limo, and the most hypnotizing scent hit his keen nostrils; lavender. He closed his eyes and deeply inhaled the scent. He was now eager to see who was accompanying his brother's girlfriend.
His heart paces in anticipation.
Kagome exits, and then Izayoi exits.
His body involuntarily moved on its own and he was now beside his father and brother to take the last hand.
The scent blinded all rational thoughts; he never put two and two together that whoever would step out of this vehicle would be a human woman. He just knew the scent was driving him insane, and he needed to know who it was.
The leg of a woman appears.
His eyes wandered up her thigh, where he noticed a slit in her dress.
Then she finally makes her debut.
A pang of disappointment went through him as he realized she was a human.
Sesshomaru, a gentle demon, holds his hand out for her to take. He doesn't get a glimpse of the rest of her features because he is disgusted with himself.
He thought the female would be a demoness. He just knew by her scent, by how intoxicating it was that she was his mate. He had never felt this way before about any female so he knew it was a possibility.
A human out of all beings.
What made matters worse is that she made his heart skip a beat and his blood boil but in a good way. He was having a trying time keeping his composure.
He felt her warm hand slide into his; it was small.
So, out of curiosity, he looks down at the woman.
She had a petite frame that complemented her small hand. He couldn't help but think that she was the most beautiful human he had ever encountered.
Her gorgeous brown eyes met his, and he felt lost in her world. It felt like ages they were standing there gazing into each other's eyes.
Then, she smiled.
He felt his stomach clench. What was this witch woman doing to him? This was the work of some magic; he knew it. He had to avert his gaze to something else; he was feeling caught up in her web.
He realizes everyone is watching them and waiting. So, to take the attention off him, he proceeded to move with the woman.

He felt...defeated. This wretched woman...this beautiful woman is trying to possess him.
He began to question himself, and that pissed him off.
He kept his face forward, trying his best not to look at this woman through his peripheral vision.
For the sake of his father, he will escort the woman in. But he would avoid the woman for the rest of the evening, or so he thinks.
Rin was so nervous stepping out of the vehicle.
Izayoi told her before exiting that Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru would escort her this evening so she wouldn't feel alone even though she and Kagome would be there.
When Rin reached her hand out for him to take so she could fully remove herself from the vehicle; she felt a shock. She almost twisted her head off, trying to get a glance up at him.
His large hand handled her small ones delicately; he was mindful of his claws.
He was so handsome; she couldn't take her eyes off him. He had piercing golden eyes just like Inuyasha, but they were different. It was as if he was speaking to her through them.
She could see the softness in them until they suddenly turned cold. He rolled his eyes and took his gaze away from her.
She suddenly felt her company was unwelcomed.
Not one greeting came from him.
Was he going to escort her the whole night? She wondered what kind of night would this be if she had him by her side the entire night.
Rin thought to break the ice. "My name is..."
His deep baritone voice overpowers hers. "I do not care what your name is, human." Although he was being rude, his voice rocked her whole body. She almost bit her lip at the intensity of it.
Sesshomaru, of course, wouldn't admit the sound of her voice made his heart flutter. He had to stop her from saying anything more. She was being polite, and he had enough tolerance for humans to listen to her, but that sweet voice of hers would be the death of him.
Rin wraps her arm around Sesshomaru's. She felt him tense up; she was beginning to hate this.
Toga and Izayoi, Inuyasha, and Kagome proceed to walk onto the red carpet leading inside of the venue. Sesshomaru and Rin follow behind them.
Cameras were flashing, but Sesshomaru paid them no mind. Rin was a bit nervous and wanted to seek comfort, but she knew she couldn't get it from him. She thought maybe she should have said no to coming. She looked ahead and saw her sister, and she appeared to be doing fine.
She didn't need to be here.
She thought she would enjoy her night, but it started with discomfort, and they had only just arrived.
Then she thought, this may have been a setup. Kagome may have wanted her and Sesshomaru to meet but out of all people..him. He had a chill about himself, but she couldn't help being drawn in; it was confusing.
They finally enter, and Rin forgot who was in her arms. The architecture inside was amazing. She could tell the caretakers took pride in looking after the building. It had to be dated back to feudal Japan.
Sesshomaru looked down at the girl from the corner of his eye and saw the girl smiling.
He grunted, Rin tried to move her eyes up to look at him, but she couldn't; her smile faded.
She thought she would speak to Kagome about this. She no longer wants to be at this event if the person escorting her acts like a spoiled brat.
They enter the main hall, where various demons and humans are mingling. It had to be a good 200 people there.
It could be a good time, just maybe not with Inuyasha's brother.
Sesshomaru releases himself from her. "Enjoy yourself." He then walks away, leaving her to her lonesome.
Rin stood there in shock; he had just left her. Appearing to be unbothered, she brushes it off and smiles, and elegantly moves her way over to Kagome and intertwines her arm in hers. "He just left me. Was this a setup, Kagome? You seem fine on Inuyasha's arm."
Inuyasha and Toga can hear Rin's conversation. They both turn to see Sesshomaru walking off. Did Toga think Sesshomaru would escort Rin the whole night?
A/N: Sesshomaru's behavior will only get worse...I will probably go back in and add some tags because of how I set up the angst and I don't know how you all feel about it. All I can say is a lot of feelings will be hurt to see the rollercoaster Sesshomaru will have Rin on. Rin will be hurt too...I hope you stay to read!
