Written By: DrDoom2006 and "Fun But Shy Girl", Based on Characters Created by: Mark Reisman

It was a warm morning as the sun slowly came into Olive Rozalski's bedroom. As the sunlight slowly crept in, the light shined on Olive Rozalski and Emmy Mendoza who were both laying in Olives's bed together. The two teenage girls were only wearing their underwear with their arms wrapped around one another as Olive laid on top on Emmy, with her head to the left slightly. Olive was the first to slowly open her eyes as she lifted her head up. As she could tell Emmy was slowly starting to become conscious, Olive said good morning to her girlfriend. Emmy opened her eyes, and smiled as she looked at the barely clothed Olive on top of her. Emmy grinned as she said good morning back to Olive. The teenage couple then began to become more awake as they spoke.

-I had a great time with you last night Emmy.

-Me too Olive. You... you're not mad that we didn't go all the way are yo...

-Shh. I'm not mad. I want us to save something for our wedding night.

-Oh my God. I didn't dream it. We're getting married.

-Yes, we are.

The two teenage girls then shifted their bodies so they were both laying on their sides now as they continued to talk.

-Oh my God Olive. We are going to be the most amazing couple on our wedding day.

-And the most amazing co-moms.

-Oh my God. I wanna adopt at least two kids.

-Well Emmy, I was thinking at least one of us could do artificial insemination.

-We could have one kid that way, and adopt the other.

-Deal.

A happy Emmy hugged Olive with a big smile on her face.

-Oh my God Olive. This is really happening. Wait. Are we doing this as soon as we both turn eighteen, or after high school graduation.

-Eh, lets finish out high school the way we started; dating.

-Okay. Then we get married the week after high school graduation.

-How about the day after?

-Deal!

-Olive then hugged Emmy again.

-Oh God Emmy. I love you so much.

-So... how are we gonna break the news to everyone?

-Well... they might already know Emmy.

-What do you mean?

-Well... before I asked you to marry me, I wanted to at least try to get your parents' blessing. But since they wouldn't return my calls... I kind of decided to ask for Mr. Reynolds' blessing instead... and he gave it... while Sophia was in the other room... and I'm pretty sure Sophia heard and told Sydney, since Sydney sent me a text that said good luck right before I proposed to you.

-It's no big. I know they'll all support us. But OMG, I wish I had asked your mom for her blessing.

-But I asked you first.

-Yeah, but one of us should've made sure she was cool with it first.

-Well I'll talk to her about it later.

-No Olive. I'll talk to her. She's gonna be my future mother-in-law. I should be the one to initiate offering the first branch that's gonna connect our family trees.

-Babe, you are amazing. So... wanna take a shower with me before we start our day?

-Sure. But remember... we gotta save going all the way for our wedding night.

-Of course. But... could you do that thing you did to my butt last night? It felt amazing.

-What thing?

Then Olive moved her hands down Emmy's body and began to touch her butt. Emmy grinned as she then immediately pulled the blanket over her and Olive's bodies.

Later that day, Emmy walked into a kitchen where she saw Olive's mother reading a newspaper. Emmy took a deep breath and then stepped towards Olive's mother while waving.

-Hi Ms. Rozalski.

-Oh, hello Emmy. Did you sleep well last night? Sorry I got home so late and have been barey here all weekend. Work, you know.

-Yeah. Um... Ms. Rozalski... there's something I want to talk to you about.

-Yes. What is it?

-Well... you see... I love your daughter. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and... well... we were... kinda planning to... well... after high school graduation... we wanna get married, and I just wanted your blessing.

The room was silent for a moment, as Emmy looked down. Olive's mother sat quiet and stunned, but then finally spoke up.

-Emmy... I'm glad you love my daughter and care for her. But... you both are so young, and don't know what you're doing.

Emmy looked shocked as she responded.

-What?

-I know teenagers today like to experiment and try different kinds of relationships nowadays, but I'm done humoring you two. You both are entering the adult world in one year from now, so it's time to start making real decisions about what your real future families are going to look like.

-But Ms. Rozalski... are feelings for each other are real.

-I know you think they are sweety. I'm not trying to be the bad guy here. I just want you to realize that you may think you have your whole future worked out at seventeen, but you don't. You need to think about what's truly best for your future, and you and Olive need to finally recognize that it's going to be with two respective nice men that will love you as you are.

Emmy had a horrified look on her face as she responded.

-No. I... you don't understand...

-I understand more than you realize. Look, I'm not asking you to break up with Olive today. I know emotions are fragile at a young age. But I need you to accept Olive is not your future spouse.

Tears appeared in Emmy's eyes, as she stood up

-I... Thank you for your honesty Ms. Rozalski.

Then Emmy turned her head and left the room cryng.

Later that evening, Olive was curious about Emmy not answering her texts and even more so because the one she answered her was only a mix of letters and emojis that made no sense. She was walking as fast as she could, she was so worried that she crossed a street without looking and got almost hit by a car with the driver yelling at her things that made her blush and then go pale. She decided to run because she finally got one of her calls answered but only her giggles, which was weird because she knew Emmy wasn't someone who expressed her joy that way, let alone not even say a word. As she finally arrived to the Reynold's house she pressed the doorbell desperately, but what she wasn't expecting was what she saw, because as the door opened Emmy literally fell on top of her laughing like a maniac yelling

-LOVEY LOVE!

-Emmmy... What… is… going… on?

-Come on in lovey… LET'S PARTY!

Olive's blood began to boil as she pushed her in. She expected to see other amigas there and definitely someone had to be responsible for her girlfriend's current state, yet, there was nobody there, just some empty cans and popcorn scattered on the floor.

TWO HOURS EARLIER:

Still sad about her recent conversation with Olive's mother, Emmy walked down the stairs of the Reynolds home. Emmy was in shock, as she saw foresaw doom happening with whatever happened next in her and Olive's future. If she obeyed the wishes of Olive's mother, Emmy knew that meant she and Olive would have to kill their dreams of marriage and happiness. But if Emmy encouraged Olive to disobey her mother's wishes, she was certain Olive would be disowned by mother, just as she was disowned by hers. Essentially, Olive would have to deal with all the pain she had dealt with over the last year, and she didn't want Olive to lose her family, just as she had. As Emmy reached the empty living she realized that no matter what she choose to do next, she'd be hurting the woman she loved. Emmy sighed as she tried to find something to do to temporarily take her mind off her troubles. She knew Max was at the bike shop and that Sydney was there also on her shift. That was why Emmy was still in her sweatpants and a tank top. The only thing she felt doing was getting something to eat and binge watch whatever she could find on TV. To her surprise she saw some cans of what seemed to be grape soda. Happy because it was her favorite, she got three cans and prepared herself a bag of pop-corn, she then accommodated herself on the couch and began to watch TV. As she drank the first sips of the soda she felt a strange taste on it, making nothing of it she continued watching, it was when she was mid the second can when she started to feel overjoyed and the need to laugh uncontrollably, it was then when the messages and calls from Olive began.

Eventually Olive came over, and as she saw Emmy in her unusual state, she tried to understand what was happening and how her girlfriend ended up totally drunk. It was not until she managed to pull her off her that her attention fell on the cans. She picked one up and the mystery was solved, as below the grapes and the word "GRAPE FLAVOR" on the label, it also read "Hard Seltzer" which meant it was a grape flavored beverage… with a high amount of alcohol in it.

-How many did you drink?

Emmy passed her arm around her shoulder and tried to share with her some of what she had left on one of the cans.

-TRY SOME GRAPPY HAPPY JUICE LOVEY!

-No!

-Hey, don't be sour… let's party before you go to that nifty college of yours…

Olive saw Emmy sit on the couch while avoiding to fall.

-What do you mean? WE are going to live there together, right?

The latina answered while falling asleep

-Not according to your mom...

Olive felt her heart break, but at the same time became nervous. She knew that Max and Sydney were going to get back soon from the store and the last thing she wanted was to find the mess Emmy had done and her in the state she was. She knew she had to take action.

-OK, let's take you… to your… room… heavens… how… many… bags… of pop-corn… did… you eat?

Finally, and after a great effort Olive got Emmy on her bed. She kissed her on the forehead.

-We'll find a way to solve this, I promise…

Then she went downstairs and began to clean up the living room, as she was shocked to find four empty cans of hard seltzer and one half drank.

-How thirsty were you…?

Two hours later Max and Sydney arrived and found the blonde girl sleeping peacefully on the couch.

-I'll get a blanket, you call her parents, tell them she'll sleepover – Sydney said

Max smiled and took his cellphone out and went to the kitchen to make the call. Olive was so tired that she slept until the next morning, she woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon, rubbing her eyes she went into the kitchen where Max was cooking.

-Hey Olive, had a good night?

-Yes Mr. Reynolds th... OH NO! I NEVER TOLD MY MOM I STAYED HERE! SHE IS PROBABLY SCARED, I HAVE TO CALL

-Olive relax, I called her last night – Max replied

The blonde sighed in relief; a relief that was short lived as Sydney ran in scared

-Dad, you have to come quick, Emmy is really sick.

As the three arrived to the bedroom they found Emmy crying and holding her head

-IT HURTS! I'M DYING!

Olive was quick to hold her hand

-You'll be fine, it's OK…

Sydney turned to Max

-Should I call 911?

-No, Olive can I talk to you for a moment?

As they walked out of the room Max glared at her with a severe look.

-I was wondering what had happened to six cans of hard seltzer I had on the fridge for my barbecue with Harry's Dad but now I think I have a good idea. Is there something I need to know about last night?

-I swear it's not what you're thinking.

-Then what happened?

-I… I'm not sure… but I know Emmy… this has to be a mistake and

-Olive, what Emmy is having is a hangover, a big one, because she got drunk last night, so I want an explanation or you won't be welcome at this house ever again.

Max listened intently as Olive told him all that she had seen and done the night prior.

-Mr. R, I'm sure Emmy drank those things by mistake, you have to believe me.

Max glared at her in silence.

-The three of us will talk when Emmy feels better, after that we'll see. – he finally said

Half an hour later and after four aspirins and lots of water Emmy was sound asleep. In the living room Sydney was pacing from one side of the room to the other as Olive sat near her.

-DRUNK?

-Syd...

-WHAT WERE YOU TWO THINKING!?

Olive's eyes opened wide

-I didn't do anything! – she said standing up

-THEN WHO DID IT!

-I did it…

Sydney's head turned as she saw Emmy walking into the room.

-EMMY!

Sydney ran and hugged her friend and led her to the couch

-How are you feeling?

-Better…

-Emmy, who got you drunk?

The latina looked at her terrified

-D… drunk!?

Olive glared at her

-Emmy… what exactly did you drink?

-Grape soda… though… it tasted kinda funny…

Sydney was perplexed

-Wait, what?

-I guess.. they were expired or something…

The brunette couldn't help but to laugh uncontrollably, Emmy was more confused than usual

-What?

For any answer Sydney went to the fridge and brought the last can remaining.

-Please read the label.

-"GRAPE FLAVOR SODA" so?

-And small letters…

-"Hard Seltzer"

Olive held her hands

-It means it has alcohol, a lot.

Olive was speechless, as all Emmy could do was run to her room. Olive was right behind her

-Emmy…

-How stupid can one be?

-It could happen to anyone… they have been blamed for their bad labeling… - Olive said sitting beside her

-I'll have to talk to Mr. Reynolds…

-Emmy… last night.. you talked about my mom before you fell asleep…

The latina stood up

-I was drunk, or have you forgotten that?

-Emmy…

-I'll go talk to Mr. Reynolds

Upset Olive went home

Once Olive got home, she immediately saw her mother sitting in the living room reading a book. Olive slowly and slightly nervously approached her mother.

-Mom... you talked to Emmy yesterday, right? What did you tell her?

Olive was trembling, she had never stood up to her mother before

-Well the truth Olive. That marriage and all that stuff at your age is nothing but a game and that she should mind herself rather than risking your future.

-W… what?

-Olive you're a bright young girl. You have been admitted to a prestigious university, everything is bright for you, why risk for something for silly experimental curiosity and over-emotional teenage feelings that you will forget sooner rather than later.

Olive was speechless; her hands trembling.

Later that evening Sydney, Sophia and Emmy were preparing their school stuff for the next day when Max entered the room talking on his cell phone.

-She's probably here with the girls finishing… homework… Olive is here, right?

Emmy stood up in shock. Max quickly could tell from their expressions, that the three girls didn't know where Olive was.

-Deb, I'll see what I can find out and I'll call you later, yes, bye.

Max hung up the phone and looked at the girls.

-Okay, Olive left her house in the afternoon and hasn't come back. Do you three have any idea where she is?

The three tried unsuccessfully to call her with no result. Everyone spent the rest of the evening looking for Olive but with no results.

The next day: despite Sydney, Sophia, and Emmy wanting to look for Olive, were sent to school by Max. During lunch Emmy noticed that Sydney and Sophia were glaring at her.

-I DON'T KNOW WHERE SHE IS! I SWEAR!

Crying, Emmy ran away. Sydney ran after her and found the latina sitting under a three clutching her legs

-Emmy…

-You have no idea how scared I am…

-I'm sure Olive is OK, and I'm sure Dad will have news for us when we get home.

-Why do I feel this is all my fault?

-It's not, trust me.

Later that day as Emmy was making an effort to keep calm and opened her locker she found a note.

Our place.

Her eyes opened wid. Making sure that neither Sophia or Sydney saw her she left school. She entered the park and after crossing the small forest that was there she saw it. A small abandoned house made of wood. She opened the door and walked in slowly. And there she saw sleeping under a blanket was Olive.

-Olive!

The blonde woke up and ran to her girlfriend

-I'm sorry for scaring you

-Why did you run away?

-What my mom told you… was… so mean…

-What if… what if she is right? – Emmy said

Olive's eyes opened wide

-You can't possible believe…

-I love you Olive… but what do you believe?

The blonde girl held her hands and kissed her softly. Emmy blushed and smiled as Olive's kiss was all the answer she needed.

-Say… did you brought something to eat?

Emmy opened her backpack

-I got you two sandwiches from the cafeteria lady and also brought you grape soda

-EMMY?

The lantina blushed to a deep red.

-NO! I got it at school and read the label three times.

Olive giggled.

-It's OK, oh I so wish you have brought something for dessert

-How about some cupcakes? – a voice said

-Oh thanks Mr. Reynolds that's... WHAT!?

Emmy was petrified as she saw Max enter the cabin. But Max smiled and sat in front of the teenagers.

-I remembered that Sydney had her account registered on your phone so I activated the search and when I saw where it pointed, I remembered when Emmy talked about his place.

-Mr. Reynolds I can't go back home, not after what my mom said and what she told to Emmy.

-I know, that's why I went to talk to her... and brought her here to talk to you.

Olive's mother then suddenly entered the cabin looking worried. She immediately hugged Olive.

-Olive, are you okay? I've been so worried.

-Yeah mom. I'm okay.

Olive's mom then composed herself as she looked directly at her daughter and spoke.

-Olive... Max and I had a long talk about you and... look, the truth is I still am not thrilled about your desicion to get married so young and to another woman. However as Mr. Reynolds pointed out to me... you've accomplished a great deal while dating Emmy. You made the honor roll, eventually got straight As, and even got accepted into a prestigious university. Thus, I have to accept Emmy at the very least hasn't hindered you... in fact being with her might have even motivated you. You're still not having the type of marriage I want you to have. However... I didn't wind up having the type of marriage I wanted to have; so how can I judge? I may not love your desicion Olive but I love you... always. And... I'll try to love anyone you believe is worthy enough to marry you.

Tears appeared in Olive's eyes as she hugged her mother.

-Thank you mom.

Olive's mom then looked right at Emmy as she spoke with a warm kind voice now.

-Take good care of her Emmy. She's my baby girl, and I love her so much.

-I know Ms. Rozalski. And thank you.
