My very deep apologies to everyone who was interested in the old version of this. I have decided to reboot Solitaries Intertwined, because while some of you may have enjoyed it, the plot didn't sit right with me. It felt too rushed. I pushed it to the climax way too quickly, and also introduced Linka without any sort of warning. I'm going to start fresh, adding more detail to the story, and just generally taking it a lot slower. I hope you enjoy this new version of Solitaries Intertwined.
It was Monday morning, the Loud House was fast asleep, adding the peaceful tone to the matter. One of the Louds is up and about though, getting a drink of water at 12:00 PM for no apparent reason, just to have the cup of water, possibly to help fall asleep. This person was Lincoln.
"When you just can't sleep at night, a good cup of water normally does the trick to help you fall asleep." Lincoln said quietly to the reader.
Filling his cup with water, he went to the couch to sit and have his drink. Meanwhile, someone else had also come down without Lincoln knowing.
"What do you think you're doing?" Said a voice that sounded like Lori's but didn't actually come from Lori.
"GAH!" Lincoln exclaimed, spilling his cup of water, as he was mid-sip when the voice was heard.
"Lori! I could ask you the same question…- Wait. You're not Lori." Lincoln said, petrified.
"Of course I am not Lori. I have stimulated your brain, Lincoln. I'm a part of you. We are the same. Only, we don't exactly live in the same place, I am a girl, you are a boy. You are the only boy of your own family, and I am the only girl in my family. Yours with 10 girls, mine with 10 boys. We are solitaries, Lincoln. You shall meet me some time in the future. You must not know my name until we meet in person. For now, though, you have this form of me, in your dreams. I am dreaming this as well, yet I am fully aware that I am in a dream. I am in this form, not to scare you, but to prepare you. Some strange things will happen on the day I come. That day will come as a surprise to you and the rest of your family. Just know that I am coming. Now, I shall force you out of this dream, as there is nothing else in it to happen. You have experienced knowledge. You must not tell anybody about this dream, for if you do, you will have two choices. Either you die, or you can reset the day. It's all up to you, Lincoln." the mysterious figure said, in its normal voice, before kicking Lincoln out of the dream.
Lincoln sat up slowly.
"That was a strange dream." Lincoln said wearily.
He went downstairs to get a drink of water, knowing this time that this was his waking life.
It was still 12:00 AM on a Monday morning. Lincoln got his cup of water, and sat down on the couch. Again, mid-sip, Lori had come downstairs as well.
"What do you think you're doing? It's 12:00 AM!" Lori questioned.
"Lori! I could be asking you the same question. You made me spill my water." "Why is this happening again? Is this another loop of the strange dream I had?" He had become skeptical that this was his waking life, but when he turned to Lori, It was actually Lori.
"Oh, my bad. Sorry Lincoln." Lori apologized.
"Meh, I can just get new clothes and another cup of water anyway. It's all good." Lincoln reassured her.
After having their water, Both headed back upstairs to go to bed, Lincoln changing into drier pajamas.
Now we fast forward some hours to where the Loud house is about to wake up, disturbing the peacefulness the neighborhood is having.
Each of the Loud house members are fast asleep, enjoying their own dreams, Lincoln having his dream with the mysterious figure he saw in one of his earlier dreams, each of the Louds mindlessly waiting for the moment where each of their alarm clocks form the strong and steady rhythm of the awakening of the Loud House.
The time has come. The awakening of the house with the name of the family that lives up to their name every day. This very moment is the moment where the peaceful bond of the neighborhood vanishes, which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing.
Everyone did their morning routine. Everyone was eating at the same time, for each of them took varying amounts of time to get ready for breakfast to have the harmony of eating together.
"Lincoln, something doesn't look right about you." Luna said concerningly.
"I would love to talk about it, but according to the dream itself, if i talk about it, i either die, or i reset the day, and i don't feel like testing it out." Lincoln said, unwillingly.
"You've got to be crazy, Lincoln. I have never heard such a thing like that come out of your mouth before in an attempt to avoid a simple question. Lynn retorted.
"Well, I guess this is the perfect time to figure out whether or not that dream was actually telling me the truth." Lincoln said.
"So in this dream, Lori should know the basic details of the first part. I went downstairs, got a cup of water, and sat down on the couch. Now, I heard this voice that sounded precisely like Lori's but when I looked at Lori, it wasn't Lori. This mysterious figu-" Lincoln said, then was pulled into this large area in the middle of nowhere.
"So, Lincoln. I have forced you into daydreaming. You listened as I said that if you tell anyone about the dream you had, you would face one of two consequences, yet you didn't listen. So which shall it be, Lincoln?" The mysterious figure said.
"Well, certainly I would like to live." Lincoln obliviously said.
"Go then, restart your day. You shall keep the information you have learned since your perspective of the day started. Meanwhile, nobody else will have any clue what happened." The mysterious figure said, pointing to a door.
"Okay…" Lincoln said, walking towards the door, and entering it, putting him at the state of where the alarm clocks had originally formed their rhythm.
Once Lincoln had gotten back to breakfast, Luna asked the same question, he responded with the same answer, Lynn retorted with the same argument. But Lincoln added on.
"Yes, this will probably be the craziest thing you will ever hear in your life, but I've experienced this point in time before. You may not understand a thing about it, but I do. I did start talking about this, and when I did, I was forced into a state of daydreaming, where I was forced to either die or restart my day."
"Yeah, Lincoln, that's the craziest trick in that little book of yours." Lucy said in her normal monotone voice.
"If I could prove you wrong without messing up my day, I would do it in a heartbeat, Lucy." Lincoln said.
"Kids, it's time to get ready for school. You have 10 minutes!" Lynn Sr. called out.
10 minutes later, everyone was in the Vanzilla.
"Time for another school week, with its ups and downs." Everyone said at the same time.
I really did not want the old version to turn out the way it did. I do hope you enjoy this one, as it's generally slower, and has more details and context. This time, no violence or anything like that.
