Sesshomaru sat back in his office chair in pure bliss. Everything was going perfectly. He had his way with Rin…and she never spoke those words again.

I love you

Love…something he pondered if he would ever experience in his life…this may be close to it.

Things were becoming complicated…However, it wouldn't stop him from commissioning this gift.

He wondered if she would approve of it. His heart fluttered at the thought of his Rin's reaction.

Would she be overjoyed and say…I love you…again?

He felt his breath shortening and his heart pacing faster as he fantasized about her reaction.

This time, it was a different piece. Different from the jewelry he has presented to her in the past. This will symbolize her belonging to him.

A purple diamond crescent moon necklace. It would be hers forever.

They would walk the red carpet and everyone would have eyes on the future…Mrs. Taisho.

Yes, he would show off his beautiful mate. She deserved to be in the limelight when she was in the dark for so long.

He would make up for the time lost.

Wait! He sits up in his chair. 'It signified she belonged to him?'. He shook his head. Everyone would know, he could not have that.

He shook his head to erase those thoughts…but he knew they would always stay in the back of his mind.

He took out his phone and scrolled through his messages until his Rin came into view. He stared at the number, it still was unknown, but he knew who would be on the other side if he called or texted.

He was getting carried away again. He was letting her in places that were off-limits.

His heart pounded at the thought of her smile, her touch. Everything was carving into his very soul and he didn't know how to control it.

One side was calling him one way, and the other side was calling him to go another way. It was confusing for the demon. He didn't want to care about the past or what others may think, but that prideful demon could be looked down upon. No matter if he did fall for her.

He now contemplated if he should give her the necklace. He takes it out of its casing and stares at the piece of jewelry. Then closes his eyes and squeezes the jewelry in his hand.

He would not suffer, nor will he make her suffer.

So, he will lock it away and his feelings. He will walk away...for good.

Really? Is that so?

She was easy to manipulate because she wore her heart on her sleeve.

He was envious of the emotions he could not show. Or tried not to show.

It was damaging him going back and forth with his inner demon on making Rin truly theirs. They were not in sync with one another, which was the strangest thing.

Since neither one could decide…that selfish demon came forth. He could no longer withstand how difficult the events were becoming, so he made a decision.

He types in his phone to Unknown:

Sesshomaru: This relationship has gone too far, and I have yet again found myself caught in something I truly do not desire. It is taking away from my actual duties. My hands are tied. It is time for this to end for good.

Should I send this? He thought. Yes, I have to .

He presses send and shoves his phone in his pocket. He was not ready for the response that was soon to come.

Rin wakes up from her nap and sees a notification revealing only half of a message from Sesshomaru. She opens it…

Her body went numb…then anger.

"A fucking-gain Sesshomaru!" she yells out. "Why are you doing this again!" She growls out and starts texting.

Rin: What the hell, Sesshomaru? Have you become afraid again? I thought we agreed to talk things out if it got too hectic.

No answer.

Rin: I will not accept this Sesshomaru!

She thought threatening him would work. She waited and waited, which felt like an eternity.

But still…there was no answer.

She shook her head…tear drops waiting to spill at the corner of her eyes.

Rin: I will not play these games with you anymore. I will not take you back again!

She throws the phone against the wall, destroying it.

She smothers her face into her pillow, sobbing.

"Not again!" She screams into the pillow.

She sits up and wipes her tears. "What am I thinking? This hurts too much! Loving him!"

Rin was alone in her thoughts and couldn't call on anyone…she was too embarrassed to call her sister. She was truly pathetic at this moment.
