Every now and then during the movie, I felt eyes on me, Eddie's eyes. I tried to ignore it. I loved this scene; watching the rebirth of Frank into a monstrous state. The effects in this movie were insane, the makeup was out of this world - this is what I wanted to do. Make people squirm in their seats like Max, Lucas and Steve were right now. I would kill to work on horror movies one day. I knew I was leaned forward from my position on the couch, eyes wide drinking in everything on screen. I felt it again...eyes watching me from Eddie Munson's direction. I slowly inched my eyes away from the TV towards Eddie, and yup he was watching me. Watching me and smirking.

I suddenly felt very aware of how i was still wearing my Family Video Store uniform, like Robin, and smelled of sweat no doubt, with purple knots in my hair sticking to the back of my neck. Why was I even thinking about that though? who cares - seriously why am I bothered Eddie Munson is watching me? "Gross! ew ew ew" Robin and Max were shaking their heads and covering their eyes, Lucas was trying to look tough and unafraid. Mike and Dustin simply said "coooool" under their breaths, never taking their eyes away from the movie. Steve was trying not to squirm too, i could feel his shoulder shake every now and then next to mine though. Eddie was still looking at me every few seconds, not very subtly either anymore. Part of me wanted to ask what the hell was his problem, but i didn't want to ruin the movie.

After the movie ended everyone stretched and yawned - "how can you eat after that!" Max stared at Mike shovelling another pizza slice in his face. "I guess some of us we have stronger stomachs than you guys" he laughed back. Eddie smiled at me from across the room, also picking up another slice of pizza. "Well, I ate some, just not in the uh...gory parts. I mean how could you eat stringy cheese whilst watching skin be torn off?" Steve shivered. Eddie laughed before teasing, "aww Stevey-boy cant hold his fromage down can he?" and mimed vomiting. Robin and I both chuckled at this, but Steve looked wounded like a puppy so we nudged him to show we were just being silly. He gave Eddie a weird look though.

Mike, Lucas and Max had arrived on their bikes so they got their stuff together and left after chatted about the movie for a while. "I'm gonna stay here with Steve, make sure he doesn't have nightmares, hah" Robin chuckled. I knew the real reason she didn't want to go home - her parent's had recently found out about her sexuality and weren't the most...accepting. I hated seeing Robin's family pretty much ignore her and push her to change something about herself that no one could control. "So, just you riding with us then?" Dustin looked up at me and then at Eddie. "Uh... yeah i guess so, if that's alright with you?" I nodded towards Eddie, he had his arms folded across his chest and i saw him smirk again. I took that as a yes.

The inside of Eddie's van resembled the state of my bedroom; tapes everywhere, posters clinging on to the walls of the vehicle, random guitar strings on the floor. I laid back in my seat, which was surprisingly comfy, and tried to insert myself into Dustin and Eddie's conversations. "My man, you need to start listening to REAL music. C'mon have i taught you nothing?" Eddie was flicking another radio station on after Dustin complained about his Anthrax tape. Dustin just rolled his eyes, "focus on the road Eddie, the music isn't important". "Whoa, music isn't important? Dustin Dustin Dustin, how can you say that - the right track makes or beaks a journey." I said and patted his curly hair. Eddie grinned at me widely and stepped on the gas more, tapping his long fingers on the wheel.

As we pulled up outside my house, Eddie started to get out the driver's side. At first I ignored it, i didn't think he was getting out because of me, until he caught me up on the curb. "So true, what you said" he playfully nudged me. I was internally a little shocked, I'd known him for so long but never had any physical contact at all. I mean, except for the time he high-fived me in middle school because we wore the same Aerosmith shirt. "what?" i managed to get out a few seconds later, looking at the sidewalk. "How the right track can make or break the journey... its so true." he responded still walking by my side. Was Eddie Munson walking me to my door? really? "Ah right, yeah i mean, if you're riding with the wrong song playing, it completely changes the mood" I said as we reached my door. None of the lights were on in the house - it was quite late so my mom was probably asleep. Eddie stepped back as I unlocked the door, walking backwards as he whispered, "I bet you never ride with the wrong song playing".

The thing about Eddie Munson is he knows how to tease people.
