*Friday night* I hated being in the dark; relinquishing control to someone else, especially a damn 16 year old like Mike Wheeler. Allowing him to take over as Dungeon Master - temporarily - seemed like a grand idea at the time. I wanted Dustin to take over as DM of Hellfire Club when I leave Hawkins later this year; he wasn't interested though. "I'm a player, not a leader" he had told me, oh Henderson you are more a leader than you could ever know. Wheeler had jumped at the opportunity, but I needed to test his campaign building skills first if i'm going to entrust HFC to him.

"Come on Henderson, you have to tell me what Wheeler is planning for his campaign!" I flashed him my signature toothy and irresistible smile. " Nope," he popped, "you'll have to wait for Sunday just like everyone else." This short deviI knew how to play hardball. Okay, I could wait two more days. "NOW, if you'll excuse me I have a movie night to get to." Dustin mounted his bike to set off, I placed my hands on the steering bars, "and which movie will you be watching?" the second he said Hellraiser I pumped the air with my fist and jumped towards my van, "Come on boy, I love that movie." I yelled to Dustin.

Knowing that Steve would be shocked to see me on his doorstep, I mentally banked some witty comments to make. The look on his face when he saw me with Dustin was priceless. Ever since our...encounter...last summer, Steve had strongly avoided eye contact with me. Inside, everyone collapsed into the uber comfortable couches and beanbags in the Harrington cinema room - they had a fucking cinema room - before ordering pizza. I had tried to get in next to Rain so I could ask about Mike's campaign plan, but Max was already perched to their right and Harrington immediately took the seat to Rain's left when he saw me looking. Dick. The movie was even more brilliant the second time round. I saw it at the theatre earlier this year, Rain was also at that showing. I think I missed a good 20 minutes of the movie because I was watching them down the aisle soaking in the scenes with their hands gripping the chair infront. This time round I definitely missed more than 20 minutes staring at Rain again, I couldn't help it, they looked so adorable with their eyes glued to the screen. I was a sucker for a fellow horror movie fanatic. Steve sat next to them with a face so pale I thought he was gonna chunder.

When Dustin volunteered me to drive Rain home too I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to chat to them about the movie, but Dustin wouldn't quit whinging about my choice of music for the journey. Rain barely spoke, everytime I snuck them a glance they looked as though they were desperately trying to join the conversation but didn't know how. Eventually, Rain spoke and it was some real deep philosophical shit about music making or breaking a journey, whoa. Rain's house was closest so I dropped them off first; hurriedly hopping out the van to walk with them. They didn't say anything, looking quite confused for a moment, then growing more confident as they responded to something I had just blurted out. "yeah i mean, if you're riding with the wrong song playing, it completely changes the mood." They didn't intend to add any innuendo there, but the second they said that, a very dirty image of Rain rocking on top of me flashed into my mind. I couldn't believe the next words escaped my lips, "I bet you never ride with the wrong song playing" oh shit.
