A magical boy
1971

"So when the world is in danger, wizards will come out to save the world..."

The two girls listened attentively until their father gently closed the book and they reluctantly closed the quilt.

"Well, my girls, it's time to go to bed."

"Good night, Dad."

The girls said in unison that Mr. Evans left a good night kiss on their faces and walked out of the door.

"Petunia, do you believe there are wizards in the world?"

Hearing the faint footsteps, Lily turned her head and asked her. Petunia opened her quilt and motioned her to come in.

"Of course, I've seen it with my own eyes."

Lily crept into her bed and the two little girls curled up and pulled the quilt over their heads.

"I saw the Snape boy turn a leaf into a butterfly!"

Petunia whispered to her and saw Lily's eyes wide open and asked incredulously.

"Really, is he a wizard?"

Petunia shrugged and said carelessly.

"Maybe, go to sleep, lily."

Petunia patted her on the back until she heard Lily's steady breathing. Lily was afraid of the dark and never dared to turn off the light to sleep.

Petunia lay in bed, lost in memories.

Petubia sees a little boy playing alone under the tree every day when she goes to and from school. Her friends tell her that he is the son of the Snapes.

He is eccentric and doesn't like to talk. Petunia is a little careful every time she passes him for fear of accidentally provoking him.

Until one day, a willow leaf fell on her shoulder. She was about to shake it open. She saw the leaf turn into a butterfly and surround her. Petunia screamed and fell to the ground. She saw the little boy approaching and looking down at her with a smile on her mouth. Petunia was embarrassed, red faced and stretched out his hand to him. He was stunned, and then pulled her up.

Petunia watched the butterfly fly to his palm and turn back into a willow leaf. She spoke in surprise and stuttered.

"You... Are you a wizard?"

Little Snape nodded gently, looked at her as if she was excited, and wondered.

"How do you know?Muggle."

Muggles? Petunia frowned when she heard the word. It was the new word she had heard. Snape caught her frown and continued to speak.

"People who are not wizards are collectively referred to as Muggles."

Petunia was so surprised that the wizard in the story book was true.

"In a story book."

Petunia answered him. She couldn't wait to ask him if the stories were true.

"What's your name?"

Petunia asked him. He hesitated and answered her.

"Prince."

Prince?

Petunia was a little confused. Didn't she heard he was the Snape child?

She was about to speak, but he emphasized it again as if he were going to stop her mouth.

"Severus prince."
