On their way to the bread aisle, they hear a child's giggle. Curious, Haruhi turns and spots the infamous life-size teddy bears. Instead of the normal beady eyes, a pair of large brown eyes stares back at her.
"Haru-chan, Haru-chan, look at these bears! They're huge." He giggles.
"Honey-senpai, get out of there!"
"Mitsukuni..." The tall man sighs. "We can't take that with us."
"But Takashi, look at them!"
"Mitsukuni...that won't even fit in the plane. We leave next week."
Haruhi sighs, deciding that Mori-senpai is the best to deal with this situation. Pushing the cart to another aisle, she takes a moment to herself. She does not pay attention to the workers who are offering free samples. She fails to notice the same group of three people who frequent the sample tables.
"There goes the 'golden trio'" Kyoya remarks, not paying much mind to them. He examines the coupons and writes something down in his little black book. This snaps her back to reality. "Huh?"
"Hika-chan, Kao-chan, Tamaki...what are you doing?" Mitsukuni tilts his head, Takashi standing behind him. Haruhi noted. He lost the argument, shown by the giant teddy bear in his arms.
The tallest of the group, dressed in a black trench coat, turns to answer them. A mustache adorns his face, though it appears fake.
"Tamaki? Who is that?" He speaks with an atrocious British accent, a sure indicator that this person is not British.
She deadpans. "He doesn't know that the samples are pretty much unlimited, huh?"
"It appears not." Kyoya agrees, closing his little black book. "We better move on before people figure out that they're with us."
"I agree, this is already embarrassing enough as it is." She sighs. I hope I get dinner made in time, she thought to herself. After all, two of their group have to catch an early flight the next day. Knowing her luck, she would be the one who would have to take them to the airport. Though her "errand boy" days were far behind her, it feels as if she never escaped from that rank.
"That's about everything on the list, Kyoya-senpai...I need to go grab salad and some bread for tonight. Could you please make sure everyone is ready to go?" -After a couple of chaotic hours, the group finally make their way back to the dorm. The journey proved difficult with a comatose Tamaki and twins. When they finally arrived at the dorm, dinner went off without a hitch, with all passing out in the living room. Well...except for two. "Haruhi..." Tamaki whispers, hoping not to wake the others. "Yes, Tamaki-senpai?" She answers him, a bit irritated about being "woken up."
"...Can we go back? I'm craving those samples again..."
He gets an annoyed grunt from Haruhi in response, as she escapes to her room.
Costco proved to be the best thing to ever happen to the Host Club.
