Biography
Falling right smack dab in the middle of the birth order is none other than Ignatius Magnolia, often referred to as "Iggy." Iggy is arguably the smartest of the Koopalings; he has an IQ of 283 and there are very few people in the Mushroom World who can match his achievements. Speaking of said achievements, there sure are a lot of them. They include; discovering the element of Galaxium at age 4 (thus putting a name to the connection between science and magic), going to college as an eight year old, obtaining nine degrees (including a PhD in Chemistry and Psychology), establishing the Koopa Kingdom's internet, and building a time machine as a fifteen year old. He is a genius, by every definition of the term.
However, judging him by his intellect is only one way to look at his character, and it would be a mighty disservice to him if this is all you do. Iggy is the middle child of the Koopalings, which means he values the friendships he has with his various siblings. Out of all of them, he has the strongest rivalry with Ludwig (he is a genius as well, but on a completely different level). He has also nurtured a particularly strong friendship with Morton, who often counterbalances his more hyperactive nature. He loves nature; his desire for studying the natural world is one of the reasons why he has obtained a degree in Biology. And, of course, he ADORES technology; you can't exactly establish the internet and NOT love it to death.

Iggy is more of a wild card on the battlefield; debatably more so than Lemmy. He is light on his feet and has a plethora of tools usable in battle stashed away in his hammerspace. The weapons he makes use of the most often are easily those of the more…explosive variety. He has also been known to make use of chain chomp chariots, and he is familiar with a decent variety of magical spells.
Flaws and Vices
Of course, having a brain as large as Jupiter, it would only make sense that Iggy's head would be just as big. Iggy has an ego that seeps into almost every conversation he has. One of the ways he does this by using a clear and precise manner of speaking; he rarely uses contractions and likes to make use of a varied vernacular, which can get on people's nerves. He also likes to mention his achievements at every available opportunity, even in situations where it is unnecessary. Like Ludwig, he does have Asperger's and OCD, which unfortunately has affected his emotional intelligence. He has problems with figures of speech and can trip when it comes to reading emotions. Iggy is the kind of Koopa who believes he's right no matter what, despite being a self proclaimed evidentialist. It takes an entire army, using every argument and rhetorical device under the sun, to get him off of his high horse. Despite all of this, he is often unaware of his faults; not really realizing that they're a problem until someone points it out to him.
Conclusion
Despite his long list of faults, Iggy really does mean well. He has a good heart, which pairs well with his fantastic mind.
