"I'll have this and this" Ruma said as she was getting her food and drinks.
Ruma then started chugging down her first soda.
"Geez Ruma how much soda can you drink?" Leorio said
Ruma then ran to Gon.
"Gon?...Gon?" Ruma said as she looked and noticed that Gon was lost in thought staring out the window of the Blimp.
Hey Gon!" ruma yelled
"Gon then turned towards her
"Here I got you this thought that you might be Thirsty" Ruma said holding out the soda cup
"Oh thanks" Gon said taking it and taking a sip.
"Why the long face?" Ruma said
"Just thinking about Killua and what he said to us, about him being from a family of assassins" Gon said
"Yeah, his brother was a real jerk, having him throw the Exam like that, I hope the rest of his family isn't like that, but however there like were taking him back no matter what, Right?" Ruma said
Gon then Smiled
"You bet we are, we'll definitely take him back with us!" Gon said
(The Next Morning)
It wasn't long until the four them landed in the Republic of Padokea, where they took a Cable Train where they were able to get a good look at Kukuroo Mountain from a distance
"Man that looks Creepy" Leorio said
I can't believe Killuas Family lives in a place like that" Ruma said
"Once we reach our destination we should gather information" Kurapika said
"Good idea" Leorio said
as they arrived towards the small town they were told by a local that A tour bus would be able to get them to there destination so with no other choice all four of them decided to take the trip as the Tour guide went to explain the details of the Zoldyck Family and there Ten known members. after long drive they finally made it towards the main Gate that lead to the Zoldyck Family estate atop of the Dormant volcano.
"And Now dear Tourist I give you the Door to Hades the Main gate of the Zoldyck Estate, it is rumored that it got its name because no one whose entered that isn't part of Zoldcyk Family has ever returned alive, To enter you must pass through the door that is conjunctioned with the Gate beside the Checkpoint" The Tour lady explained.
"Wait a Minute this the Front Gate!? But its all the way over here though" Leorio said noticing that there is quite a long distance between the Gate and The Mountain itself
Correct, Kukuroo Mountain, and the Land surrounding it are all owned by the Zoldyck Family" The Tour Lady said
"So this whole area is there backyard?" Leorio said sweatdropping
Uh Tour guide how we get inside?" Gon said
"didn;t you hear my explanation?" The tour guide said
"We did but we still want head inside" Ruma said
"Are you Crazy? if you go inside you'll never come back out!" the tour guide insisted
"Its all a sham a family of assassins that no one has ever seen" a Man said carrying a weapon along with another guy walking by him with a large sword
"Just a photo of there faces is worth a hundred million" The man with the sword said
Seriously!? Damn! I should've gotten a picture of Killua when i had the chance!" Leorio yelled
"the Two Men then broke into the check point and Grabbed the security guard that was Guarding and demanding that he let them pass the security, the guard simply gave them the key as they threw him down and opened up the door and headed inside.
"Hey are you Okay?!" Gon yelled
I'm fine, but now Mike is going to be eating between meals Again" the Security guard said
"Huh?" Gon said
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
The loud scream came from the other side of the door catching everyone by surprise the Door then slowly opened and as it did everyone noticed a Beast arm holding up the skeletons of the two intruders and plopping them outside of the door, this caused all of the Tourists including the Guide to quickly run back onto the bus
"Woah" Ruma said with wide eyes.
"COME ON YOU FOUR!" the Tour guide yelled out towards them
"Don't worry miss were Staying, you can leave" Gon said with a smile.
"So you are all Killuas Friends" The Guard said
"Yes I'm Gon, This is Ruma, Kurapika and Leorio" Gon said
"Please to meet your acquaintance I'm Zebro" The Guard said as he poured them some Tea
"you know I've worked here for Twenty Years but this is the first time any friends have come to visit, but to be fair we hardly get visitors at all, but we do get alot of those though" Zebro said Pointing at the Trash can that are now holding the skeletons of the two intruders.
"But I am glad that your here, thank you" Zebro said
"So does that mean you can let us inside?" Ruma said
"Unfortunately I cannot, have you noticed the large arm that peaked out of the door...that is Mike it is the Zoldyck Families watchdog, The Beast still follows the order its Master gave it Ten Years ago...too Kill any intruders...but technically he doesn't follow it since he eats them instead" Zobra said chuckling
"Whats the difference?" Ruma thought
"But anyway I can't let you inside, i would rather not have Young Killuas only friends be turned into Skeletons" Zobra said
"So how is it your safe? if you never needed to enter you wouldn;t have a key right?" Kurapika said
"Quite observant of you, but your only half right, you see the Key that those two used is a key for intruders. you see about Eighty to ninety percent of intruders use the Front gate and if I don't open it for them they'll attempt to break it down which can be quite a pain, so we added locked door to the side, The intruders take the key, go through and Mike Eats them" Zobra said
Wait a Minute that doesn't sound like something a "Guard" would do?" Ruma said with a confused look
Your right, thats because I'm not a Guard I'm the Janitor, I just clean up after Mike" Zobra said
"Wait a Minute so does that mean the actual gate isn't locked?" Kurapika said
"Exactly" Zobra said
"What?" The four of them said
"So we can go through the Gate if we want?" Ruma said
"You are welcome to try?" Zobra said
Leorio then tried to Push up Against the gate but it wouldn't budge not even an inch.
"Damn thing is stuck!" Leorio yelled
"its not, your just not strong enough" Zobra said
"No way, I put every ounce of my Strength onto that Gate" Leorio said
Zobra then took off his Jacket as they Realized how ripped he was.
"this gate is official name is the Testing Gate, anyone who cannot open it is unqualified to enter the Estate" Zobra said as he gave the Gate a push and it simply opened no problem shocking the four of them. and then as he let go it quickly shut.
"As you can see it closes Automatically, so you'll want to run once you open it, you also don't have to worry about Mike, he has orders not to attack anyone who enters through the Testing Gate. I should also Mention that Each gate weighs two tons and when you go up a gate the weight doubles and there are seven of them, The Number of gates that open depends on the amount of strength you used. Young Killua Opened Gates one through three when he came back" Zobra said
Thats over sixteen Tons!" Ruma yelled
"Yes that is whats required to enter. They live in a totally different world" Zobra said
hmm I don't like it...I came here to see my Friend not to be tested...Zobra you can consider me an intruder, let me Borrow the key" Gon said
Gon!?" Ruma said shocked
"and if you don't give it to me thats fine to, i'll just climb the wall, if thats what it takes" Gon said
"Gon don't be stupid didn't you see that Monsters arms it was bigger then you" Leorio said
I won't accept this! why would you test your friends?!" Gon yelled
"Mike Will kill you" Zebro said
"He's right Gon, we have plenty of time to figure out another way" Kurapika said
"Yeah Gon lets just come up with another Plan, we can do it" Ruma said
But Gon stood his Ground as he held out his good hand towards Zobra.
"It seems he already has his mind made up Ruma" Leorio said
"(sigh) unfortunately I cannot lend you this key, I won't have Mike Eat young Killuas Friends, but perhaps there is another way, wait here a Minute" Zobra said as he walked back into the Checkpoint building, all of them looked and noticed that he was giving somebody a call through a wired telephone
"Hello this is Zebro, I have four of Young Killuas friends here here to see him...Yes...I'm sorry...Yes, Yes...I understand, I apologize for disturbing you" Zebro said hanging up
"Yep I'm in trouble" Zebro said
"did you just call the Mansion?" gon said
"I called the Zoldyck Family butler, all communications with the mansion must pass through the Butlers first" Zebro said
"Let me talk to them, what the number?" Gon said
Gon then picked up the phone as Zebro Dialed. with Ruma close by
"Yes..this is the Butlers Office"
This is Gon, I'm one of Killuas Freinds, is he there?" Gon said
"...Killua doesn't have friends"

Did he just Hang up?" Ruma said as she took the Phone quickly from Gons hands this time and Dialed
Yes this is the Butlers Office?"
"Yes sir my name is Ruma I am another one of Killuas Friends from the Hunting Exam, Me and Gon traveled a long way, and we are hoping that we would be able t.." Ruma said
"...Like I said before, Killua has no friends, Goodnight"

Ruma then started to Clench the Phone hard as she hung it up.
Gon with an angry look on his face Picked up the Phone again and Dialed
.Yes, This is the butlers Offi..."
HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT KILLUA HAS NO FRIENDS!? PUT KILLUA ON THE PHONE!" Gon Yelled
"Judging by the voice a take it this is Gon Speaking?"
Yeah" Gon said
Okat so let us pretend that Master Killua does have a friend named Gon there isn;t any proff that you are Gon"
Then put Killua on the phone he'd recognize me" Gon said
By your voice? that isn't reliable?"
Then put killua on the phone he'd recognize me?" a recording played shocking Gon
"That was a simple recording and there are many others that can mimic a persons voice, Next lets say he would recognize you by your appearance, there are only a few that can mimic that but it still isn't possible, additionally its possible that someone forced you to approach Master Killua for sinister purposes, and as long as that threat exists, I cannot let you meet him, The Zoldyck Family practices the trade of Assassination's practices and naturally that makes enemies as the Zoldyck Families Butlers its i our duty to Guard our Masters from there enemies. I Apologize but please leave" The Butler said

Gon then Put the phone down as he Quickly walked out of the Checkpoint Building. he then Quickly threw his fishing line over the Gate and started to climb up
"GON What are you Doing!?" Ruma yelled
Don't worry, you three can stay here I'll go get Killua" Gon said
"Gon Come on don't be stupid!" Leorio yelled
"I'll be fine!" Gon said
"No you won't Gon, If you go you might get killed by that Beast on the other side" Ruma said as she quickly jumped and Grabbed him
"Ruma Let Go!" Gon yelled as he still pushed on
"NO!" Ruma yelled as she was slowly being pulled up as well
"Gon here you can have the Key" Zobra said as he walked towards him
"Wait a second, we can convince him" Kurapika said
"Really, He seems to be a very stubborn boy, but to make amends, I'll accompany you" Zobra said
Gon then stopped
"huh?" Gon said
"But it is possible that Mike might kill us both if we go through with it" Zobra said
"...Ruma you can let go now" Gon said softly
Ruma did and Gon then quickly jumped back to the ground
"No you can't do that, I don't want to cause you trouble" Gon said
"I have to if I send Young Killuas Friends to their deaths, I'd never be able to face him Again, I will also die" Zobra said
Gon then looked down with shame as he reeled back in the fishing line.
"I understand now" I didn't stop to consider your situation...Sorry" Gon said
'Don't worry Gon we'll figure something out" Ruma said putting a hand on his shoulder.
Zobra then looked at Gon
"You like Animals don't you Gon?" Zebro said
"Yeah" Gon said
"did you grow up on the countryside?" Zebro said
"Yeah, how did you know?" Gon said
"Gon, I'm going to open the Testing Gate Again, I want to show you what Mike looks like" Zebro said
All four of them then entered through the Gate as they looked forward see lush forest infront of them.
"Are you sure were safe to come in like this?" Leorio said nervously
"Yes you'll be safe since you all entered through The Gate...MIKE, COME HERE!" Zebro yelled
Suddenly there were loud rumbling noises coming from the forest all five of them noticed a large shadow heading towards them and as soon as the beast appeared they noticed that it was a huge Furry creature something closely resembled a Wolf then a Dog, but only three times bigger, Gon and everyone else just stared at it with complete shock and fear as the Beast stared at them and then layed down.
"Now do you Understand this is a Trained Hunting dog, its nothing like the wild animals you all are accustomed to, you must've expected to be able to communicate with him, until you saw his Eyes, Mike is currently memorizing, the Appearances and scents of humans he's never seen, there's nothing else on his mind, Do you think you could fight him?" Zebro said
"No. I can't, I'm scared" Gon said
"So how long do you all plan on staying?" Zebro said
"Until we see Killua, we wont' leave until then" Gon said
"Yeah and there's nothing you can say that will convince us" Ruma said
Zebro then smiled
"then please come this way" Zebro said as he lead them out and back to a small Cabin
"This is the Servants quarters you all can stay here" Zebro said
As they entered they noticed someone coming down the stairs smoking a ciggerate"
This is Seaqaunt he serves with me here" Zebro said
"Hello" Gon said
"If all of you are able to Impress Zebro, you all must be special, well make yourselves at home, although I must warn you it won't be easy" Seaqaunt said
then Why don't you do some Training while your here?" Zebro said
Train?" Gon said
"Listen, You Four are allowed to work together to try to Open The Testing Gates, With a little Training it is possible, How about it?" Zebro said
"I don't like the feeling of being tested" gon said
"But if there's no other way" Kurapika said
"We'll just have to do it" Leorio said
"Yeah, Through and Through" Ruma said
"Yep" Gon said
"Well then lets get started first I'm gonna need you put these on" Zebro said as he walked off to grab the objects
"Wh...what is this?" Ruma said now wearing a vest as she could barely move from her spot along with everyone else.
"How is it so heavy" Leorio said
"It weighs fifty kilograms, be sure to wear it all times, except while your sleeping and then once you get use to it I'll make it Heavier" Zebro said casually
"What!?" Leorio said
All of them then slowly walked back to the table as Zebro placed Cups of Tea for them
"Have some Tea?" Zebro said
All four of them then tried to pick up the Cup but couldn't
"The cups weigh twenty Kilograms, and this tea pot weighs forty, all the Furniture and Utensils in this house Weigh over twenty Kilograms Each" Zebro said
"I see so this will serve as Training" Kurapika said
"May I use the Bathroom?" Leorio said
"Sure its right over there" Zebro said pointing at the Door
"Leorio then looked at it with a questionable look
"Let me Guess is the Door?..." Leorio said
"Yep, but the Door is five hundred Kilograms" Zebro said
"Fi...FIVE HUNDRED!?" Leorio yelled
"Well if you really need to go, just do what I do, and go into the Woods" Ruma said
Leorio just looked at her with an Odd look.
"Hey my Mentor always told me that if animals can use it as there bathroom, Humans can to" Ruma said
(The Next Day)
"Okay lets try it out" Gon said as they were all looking at the Testing Gate
"Gon, why don't you sit out on this one" Leorio said
"What why?"Gon said
"Your arm still needs time to heal" Kurapika said
"As Long as either of us three, can open the Gate, it doesn't matter, let us handle it" Leorio said
Ruma, Kurapika and Leorio then placed there hands on the Gate
"All right you two on three" Kurapika said
"Right" Ruma and Leorio said
"One, Two, THREE!" Kurapika said
All three of them then pushed up against the Gate with all their might but unfortunately it didn't budge
"Man that thing is heavy" Ruma said as she sat down
"Damn" Leorio said
"Well we are only just starting our Training I'm sure we'll get it Eventually" Ruma said
"You have such Enthusiasm I wish I had" Kurapika said
and so now began the long days of Training for the Group, many of them strengthen themselves in anyway by Balancing multiple heavy Cups on plates, pushing or pulling heavy object from one place to another, Ruma while at the sametime had her own way of training, Ruma was given a Broom stick, one that weighed over 30 Kilograms, she then used that to practice her Bo staffing and when she got use to it she switched to another Broom stick that was heavier building up Her upper body Strength, she then also trained by trying to play with her footbag, which was made difficult because of the Vest as she could barely even jump in order to catch it with her other foot, So she used that to gain Lower Body strength.
But during the Night when everyone was sleeping Gon was secretly doing his own training as he went out into the woods doing push ups
"Do you really think you should be doing that?"
Gon then looked and noticed Ruma standing next to a tree.
"Oh Ruma...I thought you were asleep" Gon said as he stopped what he was doing
"Nah I was just pretending, I had my suspicions that you would actually listen to Kurapika and Leorio when they told you to wait and heal up" Ruma said
"Whys that?" Gon said
"Cause your just like me...Stubborn" Ruma said smiling
"Your not gonna tell them are you?" Gon said
"Of course not, you want to save Killua just as much as us, it would be selfish of me to tell them. I know you'll join us at the door when your ready, just as long as you don't push yourself to hard my lips are sealed, I Promise" Ruma said
"Thank you" Gon said with a smile
Ruma then pulled out her footbag.
"Do you wanna play?" Ruma said
"Sure" Gon said
(Days Later)
"EEEEEEEEEERRRRRR!" Ruma, Leorio and Kurapika Grunted as they were trying to Push the Gate again only for it to not Budge.
" Oh Come on!" Ruma yelled in an annoyed tone as she kicked the door with the bottom of her foot
"This will never work, you all need to wake up" Seaqauntz said
"YOU KNOW WHAT!? INSTEAD OF WATCHING AND COMMENTATING, WHY DON'T YOU DO YOUR JOB!" Leorio yelled in frustration
Seaqauntz grunted
"Gon is our friend and he wishes to see his friend, its only right that we help him" Kurapika said
Yeah, So stop trying to bring us down all the time and shut up! No matter what you or anyone else says, nothing is going to stop us from doing that" Ruma said
"Thats the spirit Ruma, Okay lets all give it another go" Leorio said
Right" Ruma and Kurapika said as they pushed
"Seaqauntz then sighed
"You can't just push the Gate mindlessly, you have to time it, push both doors with all your strength at the same time" Seaquantz said as he walked away
All three of them then looked at each other and then placed there hands on the door at the same time
"All Together now" Kurapika said
"Right" Ruma and Leorio said
"One" Leorio said
"Two" Kurapika said
THREE" Ruma Yelled
All of them then pushed at the same time and at first nothing happened but after just a few seconds the door then slightly cracked open, only for it to immediately close and push the three of them back onto the ground.
"Whoa Guys did you see that we opened it a little" Ruma said
"Yeah were nearly there" Leorio said
(A Few days Later)
Kurapika, Leorio and Ruma were now ready to take on the gate again as all of them streched
"Why don;t you try removing the vest today" Zebro said
"Really? Yes music to my Ears" Leorio said
All three of them then took off the heavy vests.
"Whoa I feel even lighter as a feather all of sudden" Ruma said as she jumped and it left a slight dent on the ground
"If that isn't a sign that were ready for this I don't know what is, lets get to it" Leorio said
all three of them then placed there hands on the gate
"Alright "all' Together now" Leorio said
"Right" Ruma and Kurapika said
They then started to push, the gate then started to slowly open but then stopped
"Damn it won't go any further" Leorio said
"One last spurt you two" Kurapika said
"We "All" Got this, Right Gon?" Ruma said
Suddenly Gon then appeared right next to Ruma as he had his arm harness off and his vest.
"Right" Gon said
" why are you using your left arm to?" Leorio said
"Don;t worry its healed" Gon said
Now all four of them then started to push and then after an agonizing minute, the door started to open even further
"Its opening" Seaquantz said surprisingly
"Al...most...There" Ruma grunted
and then with one final push the gate finally opened knocking Gon and Ruma down to the ground
Its open" Kurapika said
"Yes!' Leorio said
"WE DID IT GON!" Ruma screamed hugging Gon tightly and jumping
Zebro then walked towards them.
"Congratulations you four may pass on, follow the path and head for the mountain the Mansion should be somewhere up there. I am ashamed to say it that even though I have been here for twenty years, I have never been up the mountain. sorry that I couldn't be any help" Zebro said
"Thats not true, you've both been a big help thank you" Gon said bowing
As they all of them were getting ready to go forward there was some huge ruffling coming out of the woods and when they looked they noticed Mike walking towards them
"What the hell!? why is that thing back!?" Leorio said worryingly
All of them then looked at Zebro and Seaquantz wondering whats going on, but they were just as surprised as they were
But as Mike walked towards them it didn't show signs of Aggression but what surprised all of them was that Mike focused on Ruma, Leorio was the first to get in front of Ruma to protect her.
"Leorio its okay" Ruma said
Ruma then walked towards Mike and when she got close it then lowered its head down. Ruma then slowly and cautiously put her hand towards Mikes nose Mike then closed it eyes and then started wagging its tail. leaving everyone in a state of bewilderment.
"Interesting Mike has never shown affection like that to anyone outside the Zolydck family before" Zobra said
"Maybe I just have a good way with animals, Im going to have to be if I am going to be a Beast Hunter" Ruma said with a smile
Mike then got up and walked away back into the woods as the Four of them continued on the trail.
(Later)
As the four traveled on they noticed that they were getting closer to the huge mansion
You think we'll be able to make it before it gets dark?" Ruma said
"I hope that we do" Gon said
"Look I think I see someone" Kurapika said pointing forward
and as they looked they saw that the trail was now seperated by a fenced area and there was an individual standing in front of them block8ng the way it was a short young woman about Gon or Ruma height dark skinned and had dark purple hair pulled into thick bunches. she was wearing a suit while holding a rod with a metal yellow bulb on top.
Gon was the first to speak
Hi I'm Gon and these are my friends Ruma Kurapika and Leorio, were here to get Killua from.." Gon said
"Turn back around and Leave your trespassing on private property I cannot allow you to go through without permission" The girl said
"But we called ahead and we came through the Testing Gate" Gon said
"The Butlers didn't give you permission to enter therefore you cannot pass" Thge girl said
"Then what do we have to do to get permission then?" Ruma said
"I wouldn't know Because no one has ever recieved permission" The girl said
A vein then popped up on Rumas head as she got annoyed by her statememnt
"Then I guess we'll have to trespass then" Gon said
"I guess so.. in any case, This is where I draw the line" The girl said as she quickly put her staff down and Drew a line in the dirt right by her
"You cross this line I will attack" The girl said
Gon decided to try his chances as he slowly started to walk towards her, and as soon as he foot crossed the dirt line, The Girl hit Gon straight in face so hard it caused him to fly over Ruma, Leroio and Kurapika.
"GON!" The three of them yelled as they quickly drew out there weapons
"Ruma, Leorio, Kurapika, Don't Interfere!," Gon said as he slowly picked himself up as he looked towards the Girl
"We don't want to attack you, we just to see Killua!" Gon said
"It doesn't ,matter what your motives are, I have my orders" The girl said
Gon then went on to walk towards her again and the same thing happened as he was sent back flying.
"I'm going to see Killua" Gon said as he picked himself up again
Gon continued to try to pass the Girl but over and over he was sent back but no matter what, after hit after hit he kept pursuing and it went on for hours as the sun started to set.
The Girl then started to get irritated as she saw Gon trying Again
"Stop it...Stop trying...DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND HOW FUTILE IT IS!?" The Girl said
She then looked Towards Kurapika Ruma and Leroio
"WHY DON'T YOU STOP HIM!? AREN'T YOU HIS FRIENDS!?" The girl yelled
But as she looked she saw how All three of them have determined and set looks on all three of there faces. leaving her in bewilderment and shock
"What wrong? I'm just here to see my friend," Gon said as he clenched his fist and proceeded to walk towards her once again
"I'm here to see Killua. WHY DO HAVE TO DO THIS!?" Gon yelled as he punched the Stone Pillar next to the Girl as he crossed the line
"You may try to his your feelings, but you have a heart, when I mentioned Killua you eyes softened a little" Gon said
The Girl then tried to hold back tears as she tightened her Grip on her Staff and then loosened it
"Please...Help Killua" The Girl said as tears fell down her face
BANG!
A gunshot was heard by all four of them as The Girl that was guarding the path was quickly flung back as she was struck in the head
Gon, Leorio, Ruma and Kurapika stood there shocked over what happened as they quickly ran to the Girls side to check to see if she was still alive Gon then looked up to the side up a hill as he saw two figures watching them
Hello and welcome back, I know it has been quite a long time since I posted a chapter of this story, I had this chapter in the backburner for a very longtime and it was only half finished and I kind of lost interest, but then when I heard the news that After a Three Year Hiatus Togashi is finally coming back and it finally sparked my interest in this story again, now I don't know when the next chapter will be out but I intend to make them about as long as this one in order to make up the long waits during chapters. so until the next one I'll see you all Later.
