Den city. 6:30 am...
Standing in front of the mirror with his hair nicely combed, a young man with multiple hair colors carefully adjusted his clothes. His mother always said "First impression is important". so he didn't want to mess things up on his first day on the job. He was one of the fews who were allow to skip grades. And by the age of eighteen, he graduted from one of the top medical schools in the country with flying grades. As the arlam on his phone went off, he quickly grabbed all the necessary items then headed out. Since he didn't have any personal vehicle at hands, he decided to take the subways. It was super crowded. However, he still managed to squeeze himself in. In such a space, many others felt a like suffocating, but not him for he was used to it.
As the train slowly headed into the station, the bell sounded. And once it stopped completely, the doors opened, letting stream of people out. Holding his bag tight while headed to the stairs, the teen checked his watch. There was an hour left before his first shift started and he still need to walk five meters to reach his destination.
"Looks like I'm going to be early today." He smiled. "Better to be early than late."
Reaching the end of the stairs, he exited the tunnel and went along the sidewalks. After taking a few turns and crossing the street twice, he arrived at the most advance hospital in the world. This was going to be his workplace from now on. Just thinking about it, he couldn't help but felt anxious. Then, he noticed something at the corner of his eyes. At that moment, he quickly made his way to the front door where an middle age doctor with short blonde hair was standing. Upon seeing him, the man smiled. His name was Kaidou and he was the director of this hospital.
"Welcome. It's an honor to finally be able to meet you in person, Yusaku."
"The honor is all mine. Um, were you waiting for me?"
"Yes. The hospital might look nice outside, but inside, it's a complete maze. I still remember when I first came here, got lose for half an hour. And I didn't want the same thing to happen to you."
"That's very thoughtful of you. If I knew, I would have left the house sooner."
"Hahaha, don't worry, I just got here myself. Now, shall we head inside?"
"Yes sir."
After that, Kaidou showed him around then gathered all the staffs in the hall.
"Everyone, I would like you to meet Yusaku Fujiki. He will be working with us from now on."
"Nice to meet you, everyone." He bowed.
"It's his first day, so don't bully him too hard." Kaidou winked and some of the nurses giggled."That's all everyone. Now, please head back to your station. It will be a busy day."
"Roger!" And they scattered.
"Oh my, would you look at the time. I should head back to my office, but before that... Ryoken." He turned toward the white haired young man with light blue highlight who just entered the room
"Yes?"
"Can you please come here for a minute?"
"Is there something you need, director?"
"I figure you were too busy to come and listen to my introduction from before, so I want you to meet our newest doctor, Yusaku Fujiki."
"Oh, welcome abroad." He held his right hand out while holding a big file tight with his other hand.
"Thank you." Yusaku grabbed his hand and they shook.
"And Yusaku, this is-"
"Ryoken Kogami, the genius doctor who said to possess the hands of God. No matter how bad the patient is injured, he always manages to save them. There was a case where he succeeded in connecting a patient's hand cut off from the body in an accident."
"Wow."
"Sounds like someone did his homework on you, Ryoken." Kaidou laughed.
"I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't interrupt you like that."
"Don't worry about it. It's fine. Anyways, I need to head back now. Could you do a detour and take Yusaku here to his new office?" The man pat the emerald eyes young man's shoulder. "I'm sure you are well aware where it is."
"It will be my honor." He smiled.
"Then I leave him in your hands." And he left with a smile.
"Now then, Yusaku, was it?"
"Ah yes!"
"Follow me. Your office is this way."
