Chapter 10 Wild Area (Normal Weather)
Once they get to the wild area, their first stop is the Rolling Fields. Ash says, "It is good that the weather is normal. I heard that there are a lot of weird weathers in the wild area."
Serena says, "I've also heard of that. But with the different weather, different Pokemon will appear."
Trenor notices a berry tree and he says, "Since it is almost noon, how about we try to get some berries for lunch?"
"That's a good idea, I can cook for you guys if you want." Ash says.
"You can cook?" Lillie asks, "I thought your cooking was always a disaster."
"But we tasted his cooking a few days ago, it is amazing." Alice says.
"Yeah, my Mother taught me a lot a few days ago." Ash says while rubbing his hair.
As they shake the berries from the trees, they also angered a Skwovet who is eating berries on it, Trenor decides to capture the Pokemon after stopping its rage. Lillie also tries to shake a tree, and it drops a Cherubi, who seems to be confused.
"I'm sorry, Cherubi. I didn't mean to scare you." Lillie says. "Do you want to come with me?"
Cherubi jumps around Lillie as she approves to be with her, so Lillie captures the Pokemon before Ash calling them for lunch.
After lunch, they continue to walk along the road, they see some Combee dancing around looking happy. Lillie remarks, "It looks really adorable."
"I know." Ash says. "What about you, Alice?"
"I like how they are acting." Alice smiles. "It looks really adorable."
"So what are they saying?" Dawn asks.
"Well, it is a mating dance." Ash says. "They are proposing each other with dancing. That is what Bug Type Pokemon find their mate."
"Wow..." Serena says in amazement, and she is surprised to see a female Combee flying towards her. "I guess you are not finding a mate?"
The Pokemon shakes her head as she wants to be captured by Serena. Ash is the one translating to her and Serena says, "You want to come with me? Of course, you can."
Then Serena takes out a Poke Ball and captures the Combee, then she also notices a Bunnelby as she sends out Pancham. Pancham is distracted by Zigzagoon, who was mocking him while with Ash.
"Stop, Pancham! Your opponent is Bunnelby, not Zigzagoon!" Serena says, but Pancham continues to ignore her. "What should I do then..."
"Remember what Aria said, what you need is smile, never give up until it's over, okay?" Ash says as he holds her hand, causing her to blush a little.
"Smile...Never Give up..." Serena smiles at him. "I know what I need to do."
Serena holds Pancham and she says, "Pancham, I know you don't like Zigzagoon, but remember he is already Ash's Pokemon, and I need your help."
Pancham looks at Serena as he nods, then he helps her fight the Bunnelby and defeats it with Arm Thrust, once it is defeated, Serena also captures the Pokemon.
"Thank you Pancham." Serena hugs the panda Pokemon, who smiles.
Ash smiles and says, "I know you can do it, Serena."
"Thanks Ash." Serena smiles back.
Lillie continues to search for Pokemon until she spots Tyrogue fighting with the others, she is attracted by its battling as it looks like it is dancing. She decides to tell the Pokemon about his flaws in battling, and Tyrogue sees how Lillie is being sincere as he offers to be caught by him.
As they continue forward, they find that their stuff has gone missing and then a Minccino is cleaning it. Gloria says, "That is so cute. I am going to capture it."
"But we have to get our stuff back first." Dawn says.
"Don't worry." Gloria says as she sends out Purrloin, it uses Thieving skills to get their stuff back, and then the Minccino tries to use Tail Slap on the Purrloin, only to be Night Slashed.
"Go, Pokeball." Gloria throws the Pokeball and then the Minccino is captured. "I caught a Minccino. Thank you, Purrloin." The cat purrs and then it somehow annoys Nickit. Then before they can have a fight, Ash and Gloria recall them.
"Ash, I found a max den with a red light!" Serena yells, and everyone gathers there. Mark says, "Looks like it is a Bounsweet. Serena, do you want to capture it?"
"Bounsweet sounds like a very sweet Pokemon." Serena says. "I'll battle it."
"Then I'll help out, according to my Mom, this Max Raid Battle requires four people." Ash says.
"Count me in as well." Alice says. "Same here." Mark adds.
They all go for Pikachu, Blaziken, Butterfree, and Combee to battle this one. All of them try to Dynamax, but only Serena's Combee does the job.
"What's going on? Why can't we Dynamax?" Alice asks.
"It seems that only one Pokemon is able to Dynamax, and that goes to Serena." Ash says. "Serena, you are the one that can use Dynamax, so try using some Dynamax moves."
"Okay." Serena says, "Let's see...Combee, use Max Flutterby!"
Combee goes for the move and a lot of butterflies slam into the Bounsweet, which is super effective. Not only that, all of the Pokemon have their Special attack raises.
"So Max Moves also have additional effects, that's good to know." Ash says. Then Pikachu uses Iron Tail, Blaziken uses Blaze Kick and then Butterfree uses Bug Buzz, all manage to hit the Bounsweet.
"Now it is defeated, Serena, this is your chance!" Ash says.
Serena nods as she throws the giant Pokeball, it shakes violently until it is successfully captured and shrunk. The others are watching and Lillie says, "Wow...so this Max Raid Battle..."
"That looks really cool if you ask me." Trenor says, then he spots an Onix and says, "That Onix must be super strong. I think I want to see if I can capture it."
Trenor goes with his Swampert, with Muddy Water, Onix takes a lot of damage, and Trenor goes with the Poke Ball, eventually capturing the Pokemon.
Gloria also spots a Pidove in the sky, she tries to whistle at the bird Pokemon, and much to her surprise, Pidove just flies back down and lands on her arm. Gloria says, "You really like my whistle, huh?" Pidove nods as Gloria captures the Pokemon in the end.
They continue walking as they arrive at Dappled Grove, Dawn and Trenor each find an Oddish as they capture the two Pokemon. "So how is your first capture in the Galar Region, Dawn?" Ash asks.
"I will like to say I finally capture one Pokemon." Dawn says with a laugh. Then she spots a Hoothoot and she decides to capture another Pokemon. With the help of Pachirisu, Hoothoot is paralyzed and it gives Dawn the advantage to capture it in the end.
Serena notices a Budew as she wants to capture it, she knows how beautiful a Roserade is. She has Braixen helping her capture the Pokemon, with one Flamethrower, Budew is damaged and Serena throws a Poke Ball to catch it.
After arriving at West Lake Axewell, they see a salesman selling Magikarps, and Ash immediately recognizes the man. "Hey, what are you doing here?"
The Magikarp salesman sees Ash and he pales, then he quickly rushes off. Dawn asks, "Ash, what's wrong with that guy?"
"He was selling Magikarp to anyone foolish enough to buy one. He would tell them that they would reproduce at a rapid rate and make the buyer rich. But all of it are lies." Ash says.
"But it seems like he dropped one Magikarp." Mark says, and they see that the Magikarp is splashing around wanting water. After giving some water to it, Mark decides to capture the Pokemon so that it won't be sold again.
As for Dawn, she just finds a Wingull as she captures it since she wants to have another Water-type Pokemon in the team.
"What is that over there?" Alice asks as they look at the ruins.
"That is the Watchtower Ruins." Trenor says. "It is a place for Ghost-type or Psychic-type Pokemon. Like Golett, Duskull, or Drifloon."
Dawn spots a Duskull and then she says, "How about I capture this Ghost Type Pokemon? I recently have been reading about the strategies from Fantina the Gym Leader of Hearthome, and I know a way to make Ghost Type good in contests."
"That sounds like a good idea." Gloria says.
Dawn continues to use Pachirisu to capture the Duskull, Serena also spots a Drifloon and captures it with the help of Pancham's Dark Pulse, much to their surprise.
They also spot a Woobat in the air, and Gloria throws the Pokeball into the air, and one of them gets hit and it is captured successfully. "Now a Psychic Type. That is awesome."
"Well, luck is important in this kind of capturing after all." Alice says with a little giggle.
Trenor spots a Noibat flying in the air and he decides to throw a Poke Ball at it, capturing it in the end.
They finally arrive at East Lake Axewell, which is close to Motostoke, Lillie decides to try out fishing and she fishes out a Shelder, she also captures it as she will like to have another Ice-type. As for Trenor, instead of fishing in Lake Axewell, he fishes in Lake Miloch to find a blue-striped Basculin, he captures the Pokemon in the end.
Once they manage to get to the gate to Motostoke, Serena says, "Looks like we really find a lot of Pokemon in the wild area."
"But Ash, you didn't seem to capture any Pokemon on the way." Gloria says.
"I already have all of the Pokemon that we've seen so far, so I don't think I would need to capture them again." Ash says, "But what about you, Alice? Unlike me, you should have tried to capture some Pokemon as well."
Alice says, "Well, I could have since I only have 3 kinds of Pokemon and a number of 32 of them. But I have been searching for these in those Max Dens."
Alice takes out a bag and opens it, Ash can only see some sort of particles that are glowing with energy. He asks, "What is that?"
"They are special sort of energy measured in Watts. And they act as money as well, the more watts you have, the more things you can buy in this place."
"Oh, I see. It sure is cool." Ash says.
"I also find something as well." Lillie says as she walks over to them. She shows them a black disc.
"It's a TR. They can teach Pokemon moves but for one time since it will break after learning it." Alice says. "And what is that for?"
"It says that it is TR99 for Body Press, I guess that it is a new move for Fighting Types, so I decide to give it to you."
"Thank you, Lillie." Ash says as he accepts the gift. And then Ash decides to gather everyone as they are going to Motostoke for the upcoming Gym Challenge opening at night.
Here is a new chapter, and I have given a lot of Pokemon for Ash's travel Companions except for Ash and Alice. For Ash, he only captures Pokemon native to Galar, and I have already set a team for Alice, just that she hasn't encountered the Pokemon that I have planned for her. I hope you like this chapter.
