Chapter 18 Turffield Gym Part 2
It is Gloria's turn, and she wears just like Ash, only with the number is different, she finishes the Gym mission as she goes towards the field. Milo says. "I have been waiting for you, Gloria. To have a Champion's endorsement and also traveling with Ash, I can see that you must be a special person. I hope you can give me anything I got."
"Sure. And I won't lose." Gloria says.
After stating the rules, Milo sends out Cottonee first. Gloria says, "Woobat, this is our first Gym battle!"
After sending the Pokemon, Gloria yells, "Air Slash!"
"Dodge it and then use Leech Seed!" Milo says as Cottonee dodges the air slashes, then it manages to put some seeds on Woobat, draining the energy.
"Some seeds are nothing, for now, Woobat, Confusion."
Woobat uses the move to damage Oddish. Milo says, "Now heal your power with the Mega Drain!"
Gloria widens her eyes that her Pokemon's energy is taken, and with the leaching effect, it doesn't help her a lot. Gloria stays calm and says, "Cottonee is almost going down...and so does my Woobat..."
Ash says, "This is tough for a beginner like Gloria."
"But she can handle this." Alice says. "We trust her."
Gloria smiles and says, "Woobat, let's use Psychic!"
Then Woobat raises the Cottonee into the air, much to Milo's shock, and then Cottonee is landed on the floor hard and fainted. But Woobat also fainted after getting a lot of damage as well.
"Both Cottonee and Woobat are unable to battle."
This causes the crowd to get hyped. Dawn says, "A Draw, that is better than nothing."
"I agree." Ash says. "Now what will be his second and final Pokemon?"
Milo says, "Woohoo! We're not going to be done in that easy! We're tough as weeds! Go! Eldegoss!"
As the evolution of Gossifleur appears, Milo says, "Come on, then! It's Dynamax time! You're about to be uprooted!" Then he makes his Eldegoss bigger than it looks.
Gloria says, "Then I'll do the same. Raboot!" She also Dynamax her Pokemon as the match begins.
"Gossifleur, use Max Overgrowth!" The plants rise from the ground and then it hits the Raboot, also making the Grassy Terrain.
"Then I'll use Max Strike first!" As the Pokemon charges at the Eldegoss, it also lowers its speed. Then both Pokemon heal up with the Grassy Terrain's effect.
"Now use Max Flare!" Gloria yells as the attack goes towards the Pokemon. But Milo says, "Block it with Max Guard!"
Then with both moves are colliding, Gloria says, "More Power!" Raboot roars as it goes more power, and it blocks the guard and then defeats the Pokemon, sending it back to normal."
"Eldegoss is unable to battle, which means Gloria is the winner!" The crowd cheers wildly, and Ash smiles, "So that is the three of us."
Lillie says, "Man, I think I am starting to like the battles like this."
"Me too." Alice says.
Once they are outside, they see Milo reaching the group. "I guess that you know that the gym challenge has a set order, right? The next stop should be in Wedgehurst to meet Namie."
"Namie, huh...she is the Normal-type user, right?" Alice asks.
Milo says, "That's right. Since you got the Grass Badge, you could head to the Wild Area. It's a bit tricky to catch Pokemon that are a higher level than the Pokemon on your team, but they make powerful allies if you succeed."
"Yeah, thank you for everything." Ash says as they bid farewell to the gym leader.
"Great, now we have the badge and the uniform, I can't wait to get them all." Gloria says.
"You are really excited, aren't you? Gloria?" Alice asks.
"Of course." Gloria says as they go to the Pokemon Center to rest. When their Pokemon are resting, Ash is now using the Rotom Phone for a call.
"Hello, Namie." Ash says through the phone.
"Greetings: Hello, brother. Question: I assume you already got Milo's Badge?" Namie says.
"I kinda forgot you always talk like a robot for some reason." Ash sighs, "But yes, all three of us got the Grass Badge, so we are coming for you."
"Question: When will you come?" Namie continues to ask.
"We are not sure, but we will be going to the Wild Area to capture some Pokemon before heading there." Ash says.
"Thoughts: I'm looking forward to seeing you then." Then Namie ends the call, Ash also ends it and finds others.
Alice asks Mark, "So you mean Namie is actually your sister? She is one of the princesses from the Ketchum Family?"
Mark says, "Yeah. But she has a rough childhood and she is now talking like a robot."
Trenor says, "Father, Mother, and we are trying to save her, though...but nothing has happened so far."
Ash says, "We will definitely save her." This causes everyone to be surprised to see Ash. "But first, we should head to Wedgehurst, and we're going there by going through the Wild Area."
"Okay." The others agree as they go back to East Lake Axewell using Flying Taxi.
After getting back to the Wild Area, they look at the sky and Ash says, "Looks like the weather is not good...it is about to rain..."
"You're right about that...according to the map..." Alice looks at the Rotom Phone. "This weather is called Overcast. And there are some Pokemon we can find here."
When they get to the Watchtower Ruins, a lot of girls are terrified to see a Gastly nearby. Ash says, "It is just a Gastly, that isn't something very scary."
"I guess we really are overreacting..." Lillie says as she throws a Poke Ball at it, capturing the Gastly in the end.
"Of all the people, I was not expecting you would capture a Gastly..." Ash says in awe.
"I just think that Gengar might be strong, that's all..." Lillie says.
Then they also walk back to Rolling Fields, since there isn't anything new that they want to capture. Gloria looks around and spots a Ralts in the area. She says, "Look! A Ralts!"
"Wow, that must be a rare find." Ash says as Gloria decides to battle it and capture it. "That's great! I have a new partner."
"Yeah...but I guess we are done with the Wild Area already..." Ash says.
"Times does go fast..." Ash says as they all get on the train, but then they receive a call from Ash's father. "Dad? What's wrong?"
"Hello, Ash." Adam says through the phone. "You see, there are some things that I need to tell you. All your 63 Milcery have evolved."
"Wait, what?" Ash asks in shock. Then Adam shows the pictures to them, and everyone can only gasp in shock. Rotom looks at the data and says, "Unbelievable! There are 63 different forms of Alcremie!"
"Alcremie? So that's the name of the evolution?" Dawn asks.
Alcremie: The Cream Pokemon: Fairy Type. Evolved from Milcery while holding a sweet item and spinning in a certain direction or time. The moment that it evolved, it took on different flavors through the sweet it is holding. This is because of the way its cells spontaneously shifted during evolution.
Ash says, "According to Dad...he has Grandaunt Opal bring the jar of Sweets, which comes in 7 forms: Strawberry, Love, Berry, Clover, Flower, Star, and Ribbon. There are 9 each in the jar, so Dad has each of the Milcery pick one, and then he places 7 Milcery with different sweets in one room. That makes 9 rooms occupied.
"For some reason, I still think this is odd..." Serena says.
"Then each room has different evolving methods...the first room, Dad has Milcery spin clockwise for less than 5 seconds during the daytime, and that becomes the Vanilla Cream. When Alcremie is content, the cream it secretes from its hands becomes sweeter and richer." Ash says.
"And when doing the same thing as the first room, but counterclockwise, it is Ruby Cream in the second room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a sweet and tart flavor." Rotom adds.
"And when doing the same thing as the first room, but during nighttime, it is Matcha Cream in the third room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream an aromatic flavor." Ash says.
"And when doing the same thing as the second room, but during nighttime, it is Salted Cream in the fourth room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a salty flavor." Rotom adds.
"Okay...I think I've got it." Alice says. "So when doing the same thing as the first room, but more than 5 seconds..." She looks at the Rotom Phone. "It is Caramel Swirl in the fifth room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a bitter flavor."
Gloria says, "When doing the same thing as the second room, but more than 5 seconds, it is Ruby Swirl in the sixth Room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a complex flavor."
Mark says, "When doing the same thing as the third room, but more than 5 seconds, it is Lemon Cream in the seventh Room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a sour flavor."
Trenor says, "When doing the same thing as the fourth room, but more than 5 seconds, it is Mint Cream in the eighth Room. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a refreshing flavor."
"But what about the last one?" Dawn asks.
"The Rainbow Swirl is the complex one, Milcery in the final room spin counterclockwise for more than 10 seconds between 7:00 PM and 7:59 PM. The cells that compose its cream fluctuated suddenly during evolution, giving the cream a complex flavor." Rotom says.
"So now you have all 63 different Alcremie, which one you are going to use?" Lillie asks.
"I will try to use all of them, but I am not sure which one I should choose first." Ash sighs.
Mark says, "But now that you've explained the evolution methods for Milcery, I think I want to try it out with my Milcery."
He reveals that he has a Strawberry Sweet on his hand, and he places it on top of Milcery. Gloria says, "So it is daytime, you can either get a Vanilla Cream, Ruby Cream, Caramel Swirl, or Ruby Swirl for this one."
"I think I'll choose Ruby Cream." Mark says as he spins counterclockwise for 4 seconds. And then Milcery just evolves like that. Serena says, "That was really easy."
"I guess so." Ash says. "But seeing these Alcremie really makes me want to have an ice-cream to eat."
"You're right." Alice says. "It is a good thing we can order some on the train."
Then they decide to order some ice cream while waiting for the train to get to Wedgehurst.
And I'll end the chapter right here. As you can see, Ash has all of his Milcery evolve into different Alcremie. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the second date for Ash. Which girl do you think will be the one Ash is dating?
