Chapter 21 Route 5 and Confession
Back at the Wild Area, everyone can see that the whole area is raining and some areas even have thunderstorms. Gloria says, "How to ruin a good weather..."
"But that means there might be some Electric and Water type Pokemon coming out as it is both raining and thunderstorms." Trenor says.
"You're right. Maybe we can do some training with them since our next gym is a Water-type gym after all." Ash says.
While walking towards Motostoke, they do some training with Water Type Pokemon like Wingull, Tympole, Krabby, and Corphish, and once they are done, they immediately take the Flying Taxi towards Turffield since they don't want to get soaked further.
Now the group is in Route 5, Ash says, "Good thing this place is not rainy, and I really want to see if there are any new Pokemon around..."
"Same here." Alice says.
While walking west, they met some reporters who are waiting to interview the gym challengers. They request to learn the gym challengers by having battles, so Ash and Serena decide to battle together, and much to their delight, both Rookidee and Bounsweet evolve after the battle is over.
"Wow, a Corvisquire." Ash says with excitement. Rotom also scans the Pokemon.
Corvisquire: The Raven Pokemon: Flying Type. Evolved from Rookidee at LV:18. Smart enough to use tools in battle, these Pokémon have been seen picking up rocks and flinging them or using ropes to wrap up enemies.
"Now that sure is a cool-looking Pokemon." Serena says.
When they continue to train, Meowth notices a Stufful as he flinches a little.
The Stufful just looks at him and then leaves, but Lillie says, "Maybe I should train my Tyrogue with this Stufful."
As the Pokemon appears, she tells Tyrogue to use Tackle, which hits Stufful. Just then, Stufful stands up and swings his arm. Lillie says, "It's Brutal Swing! Dodge it!"
But it is too late, Tyrogue is hit and then it falls down on the ground. "Are you alright? Tyrogue?" Lillie asks.
Just then, Tyrogue glows white and then it starts to change its form. Now it is a Hitmonchan as it learns Drain Punch, which absorbs the energy of the bear.
"Wow, Hitmonchan looks really strong." Ash says.
"Yeah." Lillie says as she is happy about it. Meowth notices that the Stufful is leaving, he says, "I thought that Bewear was going to chase us again..."
"You mean the Bewear and the Stufful that always took you guys away? I wonder how did he manage to do that..." Ash says.
Alice walks around and notices the Spritzee, she decides to capture it as she goes with Gossifleur. Gossifleur uses Magical Leaf on the Spritzee, but the Spritzee uses Draining Kiss, causing Gossifleur to lose some health. But in the end, Gossifleur evolves into an Eldegoss, and then it uses Cotton Spore, causing it to get trapped, and then Alice throws a Pokeball at it.
"I did it." Alice says with a smile at her new Pokemon.
Eldegoss: The Flowering Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Gossifleur at LV:20. The seeds attached to its cotton fluff are full of nutrients. It spreads them on the wind so that plants and other Pokémon can benefit from them.
"Wow, Eldegoss looks beautiful in your hair." Ash says.
"Thank you, Ash. It means a lot." Alice says with a small blush.
Dawn notices a lot of Wobbuffet wandering around the grass, and then she says, "Though I have seen a lot of times when Team Rocket using Wobbuffet in contests, I will like to have one for myself."
She has Hoothoot and Oddish battle the Wobbuffet, since she is not sure what kind of move it is using since there is Counter and Mirror Coat. And in the end, both Pokemon evolve and Dawn has them damage the Pokemon, thus capturing it in the end.
Lillie is walking around until she notices an Espurr looking at her. Lillie asks, "Oh, do you want to play with me?"
Espurr nods as they play a little game of ball throwing, once they finish playing, Espurr joins Lillie's team in the end.
Mark notices a Dottler and he tries to capture it, so he sends out Magkiarp to battle.
"Why are you using the Magikarp?" Serena asks in confusion.
"Well, it is close to evolving, and I want to make it happen with this battle." Mark says.
And with Magikarp's Hydro Pump and Flail, Mark manages to capture the Dottler in the end, and Magikarp also evolves into a strong-looking Gyarados. At the same time, he also witnesses a Nincada evolving into a Ninjask, because he is close by, a Shedinja just pops into his Poke Ball. So Mark decides to also capture the Ninjask to complete the set.
Trenor, Gloria, and Serena aren't capturing any new Pokemon, but they rea training their own ones and they evolve Oddish into a Gloom, Purrloin into a Liepard, Pidove into a Tranquill, Ralts into a Kirlia, Bunnelby into a Diggersby, and Combee into a Vespiquen.
Ash also has some Pokemon evolved in the end, the first one is Gossifleur, who also evolves into an Eldegoss. Ash says, "Looks like I have my own Eldegoss as well."
"It is really exciting." Gloria says with a smile.
And the next one that evolves in Ash's team is Nickit, who wants to play as it takes Ash's hat. "Hey, get it back." Ash chases the Pokemon until the Pokemon fall into the river. Ash jumps into it to save him, but then they notice that they are going to fall into a Waterfall.
"Oh no, Ash!" The girls are in horror, but thanks to Nickit evolving into a Thievul, it gets Ash back to the shore. "Thank you so much, Thievul." Ash hugs the Pokemon as it licks him.
Thievul: The Fox Pokemon: Dark Type. Evolved from Nickit at LV:18. It secretly marks potential targets with a scent. By following the scent, it stalks its targets and steals from them when they least expect it.
"Ash, stop doing this again." Alice yells at his recklessness. Ash sighs, "I am sorry. Girls."
And the final one to evolve is Zigzagoon, who evolves into a Linoone and learns Night Slash. "I wonder what is the Galarian Linoone in the Pokedex." Gloria says as she scans the Pokemon.
Linoone Galarian Form: The Rushing Pokemon: Dark and Normal Type. Evolved from Zigzagoon at LV:20. It uses its long tongue to taunt opponents. Once the opposition is enraged, this Pokémon hurls itself at the opponent, tackling them forcefully.
Ash decides to find a new Pokemon, then he sees a Farfetch'd holding a giant leek. Ash asks, "Is it natural that this Farfetch'd hold that large leek on its own?"
Lillie says, "Well, it may be a Galarian Form."
Rotom says, "It is a Galarian Form."
Farfetch'd Galarian Form: The Wild Duck Pokemon: Fighting Type. The Farfetch'd of the Galar region are brave warriors, and they wield thick, tough leeks in battle.
"I see." Ash says. "Maybe this can be my new Pokemon. Lucario, I need your help."
Lucario roars as it goes with Aura Sphere, but Farfetch'd blocks it with its leek, before winding up for Night Slash.
"Don't let it use it, Bullet Punch!" Ash yells.
Lucario manages to punch the Pokemon, but Farfetch'd also hit Lucario with the attack.
"Wow...he is so strong..." Trenor says.
Ash has Lucario use Double Team, and Farfetch'd goes for Brutal Swing, dispelling all the copies and hitting the real Lucario.
"Use Reversal!" Ash yells, and the move hits Farfetch'd, but it is still standing.
"No way...how come it is still standing..." Serena gasps.
"Now I really want to capture it." Ash takes out a Poke Ball and throws it, and without a doubt, Farfetch'd is captured in the end.
"That sure is tough." Ash sighs as he heals the Farfetch'd, who also wants to start training with Lucario and Pikachu. Trenor asks, "By the way, where is Alice?"
"I'm here." Alice says as she brings two apples to Ash. "Since Ash wants to capture all the Pokemon, I found two of the Pokemon that you need."
"Apples? Are they really apples?" Ash asks, and then two eyes and a tail pops out of the apples. Alice says, "They are Applin. I already caught one, and I want to give you these two since they can evolve into two different forms, Flapple, and Appletun."
"Oh yeah, I remember seeing them in Milo's gym. Thanks, Alice." Ash says as he captures both Pokemon.
Applin: The Apple Core Pokemon: Grass and Dragon Type. It spends its entire life inside an apple. It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending it's just an apple and nothing more.
They find the Pokemon Nursery in the way. Ash says, "Hey, there is a Nursery here as well."
Serena says, "You're right. I wonder how many eggs where we can see here."
When they get there, they see the woman here and she says, "Welcome trainers, and also Prince Ash. Will you want to leave your Pokemon here?"
"No thank you. We are just here looking around." Ash says.
Just then, they hear a cry of a baby. The lady at the counter says, "Oh, geez." She picks up two purple crying lizards and says, "Here, here...please don't cry."
But the small lizards are crying again as the lady sighs. Ash says, "Can we help out?"
The lady gives both Ash both Pokemon, they feel a little tingling sensation as they keep cuddling him, and then the Pokemon stops crying.
"Amazing, you have calmed down the Toxel..." The lady says.
"What's wrong with them if I may ask?" Gloria asks.
"You see, these Pokemon have hatched a few hours ago, and they keep crying as we don't know how to calm them down. Since you calm them down, why don't you raise them?"
Ash is surprised as he looks at the two sleeping Toxel. "Are you giving me Pokemon?"
"Sure, I know you can be a good father to them." The lady says as Ash smiles, capturing the two Toxel.
Toxel: The Baby Pokemon: Electric and Poison Type. It stores poison in an internal poison sac and secretes that poison through its skin. If you touch this Pokémon, a tingling sensation follows.
When the girls are watching the eggs, Ash is outside seeing the Pokemon playing. Alice sees him and asks, "Aren't you going inside to see the egg?"
Ash says, "I could, but I have a lot in my mind as I can't shake it off."
"What is it? Can you tell me?" Alice asks.
Ash sighs, "You see." He points at a Ditto, who has changed into a Farfetch'd and goes to mate with a Pokemon, then after it is gone, it goes towards a Nuzleef.
"That Ditto sure is helping Pokemon lay eggs." Alice says.
"Indeed. It makes him gather a lot of lovers." He sighs. "And in fact, I know that I am like that Ditto. I have some pretty girls that are pursuing me. But the problem is...I can't decide."
Alice is surprised. She knows what this is going on. She says, "You mean...you want to love the girls, but you are afraid that you could only choose one, right?"
"Yeah...I just hope that I can find a way to love them but also not hurt them very much."
Alice nods and says, "Ash, there is a way."
"Huh?" Ash asks.
"That is having a harem." Alice says. "You love the girls equally. And you can still be with them. But the problem about it is that the girls might not agree."
Ash looks at Alice, he then asks, "Then if you are one of the girls in the harem, will you agree?"
Alice is surprised and then blushes, she says, "I think I can get used to it. But only for the person I liked."
"Can you tell me?" Ash asks, causing the girl to blush.
"You..." Alice says as Ash is stunned. She then waves her hand and says, "Forget about anything I said. This is really embarrassing..."
Ash stops her and says, "No. I am glad that you told me." This causes confusion to the girl. Ash says. "Alice, you see, you are the first one that I loved. But I also loved Dawn, Serena, Lillie...and even Gloria. I don't want them to be hurt since I want you to be my first."
Alice feels warm as she says, "I don't mind if you also want them in your harem. Since I am glad it is them as well. When we are traveling together, I have this feeling that it might happen. Thank you for telling me."
Ash smiles at the girl and says, "Anytime." Then they go back into the nursery.
