Chapter 25 Dinner and Snow
As they reach the restaurant, they see Chairman Rose, Oleana, and, much to their surprise, Delia and Sonia are also there as well.
"Mother?" Ash is surprised, and the two females notice that Ash and the group are also invited by Chairman Rose. "What are you doing here?"
"Hello to you, Ash, and to you guys as well." Delia says as she gives Ash, Mark, and Trenor a hug.
Rose says, "Indeed. Let's celebrate your recent victory, we saw the gym match and you guys sure are something."
"Thanks." Gloria says as she is surprised that the Chairman says that to them.
Sonia says, "And it is nice to see you again, Elena. You sure have your father's looks."
Elena sighs, "It is nothing. So you are invited as well?"
"Yeah." As they take a seat, they have their orders. Delia says, "Hulbury is a seafood town."
Rose says, "Indeed. If one is going to eat here, the obvious choice is the local cuisine. Everything on the menu is delicious."
As they get some seafood cuisine to eat, the others are amazed at how good they taste, and then Elena asks Sonia, "By the way, how is Professor Magnolia getting on?"
Sonia says, "She is doing fine, thanks for asking."
Rose says, "I am in debt to her. She was the one who figured out how to unleash the power of Wishing Stars and use that power to Dynamax Pokemon. We would never have been able to create Dynamax Bands without her."
"Indeed." Alice says. "Our bands are from her as well."
Sonia sighs and says, "She was saying that there's still so much we don't know about Dynamaxing. It's causing her some worry. She even made me take a Power Spot Detector with me when I started traveling..."
"A Power Spot Detector." Rose says. "That's the device that allows me to discover the Power Spots. Locations that emit Galar particles and allow Pokemon to Dynamax!"
Delia sighs, "I don't like hearing that Professor Magnolia is so worried, though. If only there were something we could do..."
"Mother...you are not the only one." Ash says as he just finishes eating the food. "We all are worried as well since we want to help out."
Rose smiles at Ash's enthusiasm, he says, "Delia, you have such a fine Prince."
"Why thank you." Delia says as she sips on a cup of Water. Rose turns back to Sonia, "Sonia, it may be good for you to visit the vault in Hammerlocke. I believe the key to unlocking the secrets of the Dynamax phenomenon lies in the history preserved there."
"Understood, Chairman. I will arrange a meeting with Ms. Sonia." Oleana says as she leaves.
After the lunch is ended, Oleana comes and says, "Chairman, it is time for you to leave now."
"But I've hardly had a chance to speak with Ash and his friends." Rose says with a frown. "It's regrettable, but I suppose it can't be helped. If something needs to get done, there's no time like the present, after all."
Elena says, "Indeed. Dad and I have to leave now, in any case, we bid you farewell."
"See you." Ash says as he involuntarily gives her a hug, causing the girls to get a little jealous and Elena to blush a little, then she leaves with Rose and Oleana.
"Does he think he's doing me a favor?" Sonia sighs as she turns to Delia.
Delia says to the girl. "It is right that the vault would be a good place to look for info on the legends. But..."
"But what?" Lillie asks.
"Nothing." Delia says. "By the way, you got the Water Badge, yeah?"
Sonia says, "Defeating Nessa's no small feet. Nessa is a good friend. Perhaps I should drop in on her."
After Sonia leaves, Delia asks, "So Ash, Gloria, you two are going to Grenomy for the Psychic Gym Badge, right? Then I suggest that you can take the Flying Taxi or the Train back."
"We will get on the train, Mother. Since we want to go to the wild area for Pokemon catching."
"I see. I bid you all good luck." Delia says as they bid farewell.
When they arrive at the Wild Area, they are surprised to see that it is snowing, and instead of the usual Pokemon, Ice-type Pokemon are gathering around the area.
"You know...it sure is cold when the Wild Area is snowing..." Dawn says.
"But at least it isn't blizzard." Gloria says. "It would be worse if we got caught in a blizzard."
"I guess you're right about that." Ash says. "But that means we can find some Ice-type Pokemon to capture."
"And I think I've already found one." Mark says as he rushes to capture a Delibird. All Delibird does is use the move Present, so Mark's Blaziken easily knocks it out to let it be captured.
"Well done, Mark. Another new member to the team." Ash says.
"Thanks, brother. How about you guys? Do you want to capture some Ice-type Pokemon?" Mark asks.
"I already have a bunch of them back in my castle or other Professor's labs." Ash shrugs. "I don't think I have seen a Galar-native Ice-type Pokemon."
"Me neither." Alice says. "But they might be in the mountains south from here."
When they finally reach the Watchover Ruins, much to their surprise, a mist is surrounding the area as neither of them can see what is in front of them. "Where did this mist come from?"
"I don't know...I can't see anything...it is just like what happened in the Slumbering Weald..." Ash mutters.
"So what should we do?" Alice asks.
Just then, the group of eight sees a shadow of a person. From the voice, they can assume that the speaker is a female. "Do you need some help?"
As the person gets closer, they see that she is wearing a Psychic-Type uniform and she has blonde hair like Lillie and a high magician hat. Gloria says, "I think I have seen you before...aren't you Luna? The Gym Leader of Grenomy?"
"Why yes. I am the Gym Leader. You're the Prince of Galar, Ash Ketchum, right?" Luna says as she looks at Ash.
"Yes. So Luna, um...do you know where to go to Grenomy Town?" Ash asks.
"Follow me." Luna says as they follow her out of the mist. "I made the mists so our townspeople won't be afraid of Ghost-type Pokemon from the Watchtower Ruins. Drifloon, Duskull, Gastly usually live there and who knows what they might do if they catch a prey."
"I guess that's fair enough." Ash says.
As they arrive at the town, they can see how the buildings are decorated with neon lights, and some of the roads have stars on them, making it like galaxy vibes.
"Wow...this is amazing..." Lillie says.
"I am glad you like it, you see, this place is surrounded by fog made by Psychic Pokemon so that Ghost Pokemon can't attack the town. And this place is also known for the astronomic fields." Luna says.
"So does that mean the Gym Battlefield is actually in Space? But why is there a stadium over there?" Gloria asks.
"That is because the spectators can watch through the projection. we have set up drones in the sky with projectors and they will be shining to the ground." Luna says.
"I see, that sounds amazing." Ash says. Luna says, "By the way, there are some things that I need to do first, so I'll just give you each my League Card so that you can just read it."
Ash and the others take her League Card as they bid them farewell. Ash reads the card and says, "It says that she has a son, which she intends to give him the gym leader once she retired..."
"Not to mention she is from a family of Psychics..." Alice says. "No wonder the battle is in space..."
"It sure is normal that Psychic-type leaders are psychics." Ash says. "I mean, I met a few of them who turns out to be psychics themselves."
Serena says, "I remember Olympia is one of them. Considering that she has the ability to foresee the future, not to mention her strategy of using Future Sight is also dangerous."
"Future Sight? I think I have heard about this move, but surely Ash has a way to beat it, right?" Lillie asks.
"Of course." Ash says. "Pikachu did the help after all."
Pikachu nods in agreement, and Ash says, "Not to mention, most of the Psychic gyms I faced are actually Double battles, I wonder if this would be the same..."
"From what I've seen on the television back at home, only the final gym leader is using Double Battles, others are using Single battles." Gloria says. "I don't think you need to worry about that."
"I guess so." Ash says as he looks around the streets, "You know...it is just maybe, I want to explore this place alone myself."
"You don't want any one of us to follow you?" Serena asks with a frown, Ash has been with Alice, Lillie, and then Dawn. She doesn't have a turn and Ash says he wants to be alone in this town.
"I'm sorry, I know you're excited to know who I want to be with while looking around this area. I promise I will bring one of you once we are back at Motostoke." Ash says.
"I guess that's fair enough." Gloria frowns a little, "But are you sure about that?"
"Don't worry, I have these three following me." Ash says as he leaves with Pikachu, Meowth, and Rotom following him.
"We would make sure Ash wouldn't get lost." Meowth says, "After all, I am able to locate him every time."
"I know about that..." Ash sweatdrops. "That's why Team Rocket always finds me no matter where I go..."
The others chuckle at Meowth's reactions as they leave. Serena turns to the others and says, "I still think that Ash traveling alone is suspicious...do you think he is seeing someone behind our backs?"
Gloria says, "He isn't that kind of guy, is he?"
Alice sighs and she remembers that Ash is going to have a harem of 7 girls, with her, Dawn, Serena, Lillie, and Gloria, there are two left that she might have an idea who they are. But one thing is for sure, Ash has confessed to Alice, that is something nobody in the group knows.
Alice says, "Don't worry, Ash isn't that kind of guy, even though she might see another girl, maybe they are just going to hang out for a little, after all, I'm sure Ash doesn't want you guys to be sad."
"I hope you're right, Alice." Dawn says.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, when Ash tells them that he is going to be alone, that means the date in the next chapter will be either one of the two secret girlfriends. Who is it? And I hope you like this chapter.
