Chapter 26 Grenomy Date?
Ash is now looking around the place as he can see some Orbeetle flying around. Ash looks at them and he is a little confused. Ash says, "I wonder what they are doing here..."
"They are maintaining the town, after all, Luna is the one instructing them to create the mist, or the fog in someone's opinion, to do this." Ash turns around and sees Elena walking toward them. Ash is surprised to see her here since they just bid each other farewell this afternoon at Hulbury. Ash says, "Elena? What are you doing here?"
"Just taking a break, I mean, it is just the beginning of the Gym Challenge, and my gym is what? 12th. Nobody is that skilled enough to just sweep through the gym without time to train." Elena shrugs. "And since I thought that you guys are challenging for your fourth badge, so I thought I can come and check it out."
"That's nice." Ash says. "So what are you going to do here?"
"How about I show you around this place?" Elena asks, "I know a lot about Grenomy Town."
"That will be nice." Ash says as they explore around. After walking past some Claydol puppets, Ash says, "So Elena, you are the Steel Type Gym Leader, right? I was wondering why a girl like you would be fascinated with Steel Types?"
"Just because Steel Types are usually bulky and defensive doesn't mean I can't like them." Elena shrugs. "But my family are usually Steel Type users, and that is what influenced me to use Steel Types."
"I see." Ash says as they notice that some people are buying dream mist. Elena says, "I never got to ask some more about you the last time we met, what is your dream?"
"My dream is to be a Pokemon Master." Ash says. "That is why I want to challenge the League so I can face Leon in a battle. After all, the undefeatable champion and a champion who won seven leagues in a row. Who do you think will be the winner?"
"You really are something else. But I admit, your dream is really wild." Elena says as they just walk past a Xatu fortune tent, and she says, "How much do you think you have achieved if you want to be this so-called Pokemon Master?"
"I am not sure." Ash says, "I still think that I have a long way to achieve the goal...but I am not going to give up until it is over."
They also walk past some kids who are playing with the Bronzong, but those kids find Ash and Elena as they are important figures of the Galar Region, as they rush to get autographs. After finishing some work, Elena says, "You don't do autographs that often, huh?"
"I was never that famous outside the regions." Ash says. "But I guess being royalty of Galar makes me that famous...What about you? Since you are Chairman Rose's daughter."
"I was used to it, in fact, a lot of gym leaders are asked to give autographs because they are famous, and I know that some of them, like Raihan and Gordie, seem to enjoy it." Elena says.
"Weird..." Ash says as they are asked by two trainers to battle, they use Pikachu and Copperajah while the trainers use Gallade and Gardevoir, but they are easily defeated as Ash is much stronger than they thought.
After bidding farewell to the trainers, Ash asks, "So is your Copperajah your first Pokemon?"
"It is my first Pokemon." Elena says, "It is given to me by Dad, as it is also the first Pokemon of my dad and uncle..." Elena frowns a little and Ash asks, "Something wrong?"
"Before I was the Gym Leader, it belonged to my uncle. It is after my Dad become the Chairman that my Uncle just quit the job and left without a trace." Elena frowns.
"Why is that?" Ash asks, and Elena says, "My dad and uncle are not on good terms, mostly because my dad gains the most attention in our family that my grandparents tend to ignore him."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Ash says as they walk past a shop with the Swoobat charms. Ash notices the items and he asks, "What is this?"
Elena says, "This is the Swoobat Good Luck Charm. The auspicious shape of this Pokémon's nose apparently led some regions to consider Swoobat a symbol of good luck. That's why the shop sells those here."
"I see...maybe I should buy one for Alice and the others." Ash says. Elena is now curious and she asks, "I have noticed you have a pretty big group, are you dating someone within that group?"
"Well, I am right now dating Alice, but I was just waiting for the right time to confess to the other four. According to my Mom and Alice, it is normal for royalties to have some sort of small harem. And my Dad gave me seven gems so I can give my girlfriend each a gem. So far six of them are still with me."
"I never thought you were that kind of person." Elena raises an eyebrow. She then thinks about what Ash has said, there are seven gems, and if Ash pick the other four, there are still two of them. Which means she still has a chance.
"Well, I had a hard time picking one of them since they all love me and I can't choose any one of them." Ash says as the worker is using Espeon to show Ash the charms on the top shelf that she can't reach.
"I see...it is natural for royalties to have a harem in the past of Galar." Elena says as she sees how Ash is paying for the charms.
"What about you? Did you have someone you like?" Ash asks as they walk past another couple with both Meowstics.
"A lot of fans have been trying to date me, but I turn them down since they are not my type." Elena shrugs.
"How is that?" Ash asks as they see a Wobbuffet is scaring a group of trainers, Elena says, "They see me just because I am the daughter of the wealthiest chairman in the Galar Region, not because of who I am."
"I see...I am sure there will be someone who will see you as who you are." Ash says.
"I hope so." Elena sighs as she can't believe that Ash would be dense when it is not for the 5 girls inside his group.
When they are sitting on the bench while looking at the stars, Ash notices a trainer who is playing with Hattrem, Gothorita, and Duosion. Ash says, "By the way, your father seems to endorse a person named Bede. Do you know about him?"
Elena says, "Bede was an orphan until my Dad take him in. He was like a younger brother to me, but I sometimes hate his arrogant attitude. I don't like using my Papa's name to brag to others."
"I see." Ash says as he looks at the stadium. "So how did your company has that fund to make a stadium in the space?"
Elena says, "That's a good question. Luna is usually the ones who are doing these space projects, Dad didn't tell me how much money those facilities cost, but I can tell that it must have been a lot of them."
"I see." Ash says. "And because of the Psychic Type Pokemon here to make things possible."
As they see Beheeyem and Malamar roaming around, Ash says, "But then again, sometimes I am a little scared of how Psychic Type Pokemon are capable of."
"Why is that?" Elena asks, and Ash says, "I traveled a lot, and there are some times when I see how those Psychic Type Pokemon just control people like that, especially Beheeyem and Malamar, even though they are wild Pokemon, but they did something that makes me never forget..."
"It sure has been a hard time for you." Elena chuckles, and then they decide to head back to the Pokemon Center, though Ash feels odd to see a Sigilyph with a trainer passing, and another trainer with a horse Pokemon that he has never seen before.
"What is that horse Pokemon?" Ash asks, and Elena says, "Oh, that is a Ponyta."
"Ponyta? I mean...it doesn't look like a Ponyta that I know." Ash says.
"That is Galarian from, I heard that Ponyta from Kanto is Fire Type." Elena says. "I would like to see one in person."
"Well, I think maybe we can find one." Ash says.
After getting back to the Pokemon Center, the girls are waiting for them while the Indeedee are carrying the trey of Pokemon to them as they are healed. Ash asks Elena, "Do you want to come inside?"
"No thank you, I have to go back to Bermingsteel. But thank you for spending time with me today." Elena says.
"No problem. I hope that we'll meet again." Ash says as Elena leaves him alone.
After getting into the Pokemon Center, Alice asks, "So how is the town, Ash?"
"It is great." Ash says. "I brought some Swoobat Lucky charms for you guys."
As he gives them five of the charms, the girls give him a hug and thanks to him. Ash asks, "What about you guys? Did you have fun?"
"Well, we were having some drinks at the bar, it turns out that an Oranguru is the one that pours the drinks." Gloria says. "Lillie told us that it happened in Alola, is it really the case?"
"Well...we did meet one Oranguru that does the trick." Ash says.
"And we also got something for you as well." Serena says as she gives him a T-Shirt with Solrock and Lunatone. Ash takes the shirt and says, "Thanks, girls."
"Why don't you try it on?" Alice asks and the girls agree, and Ash sighs as he puts it on, the girls are squealing at how it is fit for Ash. Ash sighs and says, "Don't squeal please...it is a little embarassing."
"Sorry, but you look good in that outfit." Dawn says as they laugh.
Mark says, "We also heard about something from the others about Luna. It seems that her family treats her son as a disappointment. He could freely move things with his mind but lacked other skills, such as teleportation or telepathy."
"That's why his trainer status is revoked." Trenor says. "He developed a very proud personality and a habit of levitating anyone who defeated him. Luna doesn't like it, so she asks him to go to a place known as Isle of Armor to train."
"Well, that sure is a sad story." Ash says as they head towards the gym.
Here is a new chapter, and I don't know how many times I have to say it again, but Avery is NOT the Psychic type Gym Leader until you beat the Crown Tundra Arc! So stop trying to argue with me that Avery is the real Psychic leader of Galar. And as you can see, Elena also has feelings for Ash, and I hope you like this chapter. THe next chapter will be the gym battle.
