Chapter 47 Glimwood Tangle
Back outside the gym stadium, Hop says, "That is really amazing. We all have our ninth Gym Badge and we are almost there."
"Yeah." Gloria says. "So where is the next gym?"
Ash says, "It should be the Glimwood Gym, my sister is actually the leader."
"Your fourth sister, I assume?" Alice asks. "I almost forgot you have four boys and four girls in the family."
"Then it should be a long walk." Hop sighs. "Well, I'm off, so I'll see you later."
After he leaves, Bolt and Boltera also come to them. Boltera says, "You like the lights here? They are special considering that Loch Miloch gives us the energy, including the electricity to our e-guitars."
"Yeah. And it is beautiful now that it is nighttime." Alice says.
"Well, don't forget that there is an amusement park here that is charged by electricity." Boltera says. "Besides Gym challenges, I hope you guys can relax a little by going there."
"We will consider it, thank you." Ash says as they go to the Pokemon Center for a day's rest.
The next day, they are outside of Generact Town, and much to their delight, the weather is back to Sunny. They can see a lot of Fire Type Pokemon around the area, but they decide not to capture any new Pokemon because there aren't any Pokemon that catch their eye. But they have done some training as Lillie's Hippopotas evolve into Hippowdon when battling some Growlithe in the wild.
But when they arrive at the Dusty Bowl, under the stone arch, Yamask suddenly pops out of the Poke Ball. Ash asks, "What's wrong, Yamask?"
Suddenly, a sandstorm comes and Yamask is trapped inside. Alice asks, "What's going on?"
Since being a Steel Type, Perrserker isn't affected and then he watches it, he says, "It seems like there are some stone-like things covering the Pokemon..."
Then after the raging sand ends, Ash and Alice then see that in front of them is a mural that they haven't seen before. And it shapes like a snake.
"Where is Yamask?" Ash asks, but then they are surprised by the mural opening its eyes and then it starts to break apart. "Wait, Yamask? Is that you?"
Rotom says, "That is a Runerigus, roto."
Runerigus: The Grudge Pokemon: Ground and Ghost Type. Evolved from Yamask when its HP is 49 lower than full health and walking in the Dusty Bowl. A powerful curse was woven into an ancient painting. After absorbing the spirit of a Yamask, the painting began to move.
"So that was what is happening...all is because of a curse?" Alice asks Rotom. "Who knows, but that is such an interesting sight. I have to better record this."
Now they are back to Stow-on-Side, they decide to visit Allister first, but much to their surprise, Bea and Delia are also there as they are having a conversation.
"Hey, it's Brother." Allister says as they notice them.
"You're right. Hey guys." Bea says. "How is your Gym Challenge going on?"
"We are going to Glimwood Town so we can get our tenth badge." Gloria says.
"That means you guys even beat Bolt and Boltera. How do you like their battles with music-style performances?" Delia asks.
"The experience is very unique." Ash replies. "So if we want to go to the Glimwood Town, we have to go through the Glimwood Tangle?"
"Yeah. It is very dark..." Allister says with a spooky voice, causing the girls to get a shiver. Bea sighs, "It sure is dark, don't worry, it has a lot of special Pokemon in the forest as well. Since we are on our way to visit Grandma Opal, why don't we go together?"
"But what about your gyms?" Lillie asks.
"That is really taken care of, you see, because of Kabu's strength, almost no one would ever make this far, maybe except you three and some of them." Allister says.
"I see." Ash says as they go into the forest.
Inside the Glimwood Tangle, all they can see are glowing mushrooms and also dim light throughout the place. Alice says, "It sure is dark, but it is beautiful..."
"I agree. It is really great." Gloria says.
Lillie sees a Shiinotic and she says, "Here is a Shiinotic, you know, it makes me remember what Ash did back in Alola."
"What did he do?" Dawn asks.
Ash sighs, "You mean back at the time when Morelull tries to suck or life energy, and I let it suck mine while at the same time I eat curry to recover mine."
"That is really an odd thing that you did." Serena says.
"Indeed. I am glad you are still here." Bea agrees.
Ash decides to battle the Shinnotic with his Koffing, because it is close to evolving. Once he defeats the Pokemon, Koffing starts to evolve, and they are in awe at the sight of the new evolution.
"Wow...it has two chimneys on top of its body." Ash says. "And it produces clean air as well."
Weezing Galarian Form: The Poison Gas Pokemon: Poison and Fairy Type. Evolved from Koffing at LV:35. This Pokémon consumes particles that contaminate the air. Instead of leaving droppings, it expels clean air.
"Poison and Fairy is a weird combination..." Alice says. "But you have to admit it is a good Pokemon."
"You're right." Ash replies.
Just then, they hear a neighing noise, and they also see two Pokemon walking toward them. Dawn says, "No way! Galarian Ponyta! So they can be found here!"
"They are beautiful." Serena says, and one of the Ponyta nuzzles Serena, liking the girl already.
Then Ash and Serena decide to capture both Pokemon, as they are really great for the team.
Ponyta Galarian Form: The Unique Horn Pokemon: Psychic Type. Its small horn hides a healing power. With a few rubs from this Pokémon's horn, any slight wound you have will be healed.
And by training with the Ponyta and Shiinotic, Serena's Braixen also evolves into a Delphox. Ash says, "Finally, your Starter Pokemon evolved."
"Yeah, I don't know what takes a lot of time, but I'm glad." Serena says as she hugs her Delphox, who hugs back.
Ash notices some Morgrem and Hattrem in the wild, and he says, "I think that my Starter Pokemon are also going to evolve soon, maybe I should train them right here."
He sends out Thwackey and Raboot to battle the two Pokemon, and once the training is done, they all evolve in the end.
Rillaboom: The Drummer Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Thwackey at LV:35. By drumming, it taps into the power of its special tree stump. The roots of the stump follow its direction in battle.
"So the Grass Starter is actually a Musician." Dawn says in awe.
Cinderace: The Striker Pokemon: Fire Type. Evolved from Raboot at LV:35. It juggles a pebble with its feet, turning it into a burning soccer ball. Its shots strike opponents hard and leave them scorched.
"And Cinderace is basically a kicker." Gloria adds, "I can't wait to evolve mine."
And the final one that evolves in Ash's team is Cufant, which becomes a Copperajah. Ash says, "Looks like I have this Pokemon as well."
Copperajah: The Copperderm Pokemon: Steel Type. Evolved from Cufant at LV:34. They came over from another region long ago and worked together with humans. Their green skin is resistant to water.
"Though it is pure Steel." Mark shrugs.
Dawn's Quilava also evolves into Typhlosion during the battle against a Passimian, and she also captures the Pokemon in the end. Lillie tells them how Ash disguises as a Passimian to help the other Passimian, only to become the king of their pack, causing them to laugh out loud.
Gloria is also training some Pokemon as she is pumped up for the next gym, and some of her Pokemon also evolve, there is Crustle, Copperajah, and Cinderace. Alice is going the same thing, and now she has a Salazzle, Vibrava, and a Pokemon that Ash has never seen before: Drizzile's evolution.
"Rotom, what is that Pokemon?" Ash asks.
"Leave it to me." Rotom says.
Inteleon: The Secret Agent Pokemon: Water Type. Evolved from Drizzile at LV:35. It has many hidden capabilities, such as fingertips that can shoot water and a membrane on its back that it can use to glide through the air.
"Secret agent...that sounds like some sort of spy movies." Alice says.
"I agree." Ash nods.
Then Gloria notices a Pokemon that looks like a Tea Cup, she scans the Pokemon immediately.
Sinistea: The Black Tea Pokemon: Ghost Type. This Pokémon is said to have been born when a lonely spirit possessed a cold, leftover cup of tea.
Ash notices the Pokemon and says, "So Gloria, do you want to capture it?"
"Nah." Gloria says, "You can do the honors. But what is Rotom doing?"
They notice that Rotom is looking under Sinistea, and he yells, "Unbelievable! We have an Antique Form!"
"Really?" Allister is now interested and Ash asks, "What is Antique Form?"
"Sinistea and its evolution Polteageist have two forms, Phony and Antique. Phony is common in the wild, and the only way to determine is to look under the Pokemon. Not only that, Phony Sinistea can evolve using Cracked Pot, but Antique Sinistea can evolve using Chipped Pot."
"Chipped Pot?" Ash says as he takes out the item and let Sinistea touches it, much to their surprise, it evolves into an Antique Form Polteageist.
"You have the Chipped Pot with you?" Bea asks.
"Yeah. Gloria was the one who gave me." Ash says, and Gloria blushes a little. "Yeah, no problem."
Polteageist: The Black Tea Pokemon: Ghost Type. Evolved from Sinistea by holding the Cracked Pot(Chipped Pot if Antique Form). Trainers Polteageist trusts will be allowed to experience its distinctive flavor and aroma firsthand by sampling just a tiny bit of its tea.
After capturing the Pokmon, they continue to walk through the forest. Trenor also captures a Phantump and has Allister helping him evolve into a Trevenant by doing a mock trade.
"And there are some Indeedee." Delia says as they spot a male and a female Indeedee. Because of how Rotom explains that they are like Meowstic, different genders have different moveset, so he captures both of them in the end.
Indeedee: The Emotion Pokemon: Psychic and Normal Type. Male: It uses the horns on its head to sense the emotions of others. Males will act as valets for those they serve, looking after their every need. Female: They diligently serve people and Pokémon so they can gather feelings of gratitude. The females are particularly good at babysitting.
Here is a new chapter, this chapter is basically a Pokemon capturing in the Glimwood Tangle, and I apologize for not having them capture more Pokemon in the Wild Area, as they already have a set team. I hope you like this chapter and the next one is the 11th date for Ash.
