Chapter 50 Ballonlea Date
Ash and the others arrive at Ballonlea, the town is just like Glimwood Town, it is very beautiful with a lot of light around. Ash says, "This pace is really beautiful as well."
"I agree." Serena says. "So the type that your Grandaunt uses is Fairy Type?"
"Yeah." Allister says, "Grandma is very hardworking, in fact, ever since our grandma goes to the Kalos for Showcase, she takes over the gym for almost 70 years."
Delia says, "But right now she is looking for a successor...but we failed to find one..."
Ash says, "Now we do the usual thing?"
"Who are you going with this time?" Lillie asks.
"I guess it is obvious. You guys have your second time, but I haven't." Serena says.
"Serena's right. I guess I'll take her with me this time." Ash says.
"Fair enough." The other girls say as they leave Ash and Serena alone. Ash says, "So should we look around this place?"
"Of course. Let's go." Serena says.
As they walk around the place, Serena says, "Look at all those glowing mushrooms, even though this place is dark, it doesn't let you feel like that's the case."
"I agree." Ash says as they see some Kirlia dancing around the children, "And look at all the Fairy-type Pokemon living around here."
"We did meet a lot in Glimwood Tangle, I thought it would be filled with Ghost-types since how gloomy it is." Serena says.
"Psychic types as well." Ash chuckles.
Then they spot a local Pâtisserie, which is having an All-Alcremie Decoration Challenge. Ash says, "Serena, what do you say we take part in this challenge? After all, you're very good at making sweets."
"Are you sure I can do this?" Serena says with a little blush.
"Of course, let's enter it." Ash smiles.
When they enter the challenge, they are given an Alcremie to use, but Ash prefers using him and he got the approval from the staff. The two of them work together on their own cakes, Serena made a cake that looks like the Lemon Cream Alcremie, as for Ash, let's say he made a cake with a lot of Pokemon on it. There are Dugtrio, Snorlax, and Alolan Exeggutor, and the base is Caramel Swirl.
"Ash..." Serena sighs at how complex his cake looks.
After the judging, the judge says, "For the whole contest, we will be having two winners. The first winner is the best decorative award. And it goes to Serena."
Serena smiles as she takes the medal from the judge, and then the judge says, "The second winner is the best tasting award. And it goes to our prince Ash Ketchum!"
Ash is surprised that he would be getting the medal from the judge as well. Serena says, "Congratulations, Ash."
"You too. Serena. I really want to try out your cake." Ash says.
"Me too." Serena nods as they try out their cakes, and they have to admit that Ash's tastes good.
When they get outside of the Pâtisserie, they also see some Cutiefly flying past. Ash says, "That sure was a fun experience."
"I agree." Serena says. "I never knew that cake decorating can be this fun with Alcremie's help."
"But I think that your macarons and Poke Puffs are the best." Ash says, causing her to blush. But their thoughts are interrupted by some Swirlix and Spritzee. "Swirlix and Spritzees...they remind me a lot about our journeys in Kalos."
"Yeah, Kalos has the most Fairy-type Pokemon though." Ash says. "And Alice's mother is the Fairy Leader."
"The same one who used Spritzee to give you a hard challenge." Serena says. "But the X-Scissor you used with Hawlucha really wins the game."
"I have to agree with that." Ash says.
They notice the screen and they are surprised to see that Marnie is battling Opal right now, with her Grimmsnarl defeating her Hatterene. Ash says, "Looks like Marnie is also here."
"Yeah, and I guess she won against Opal, meaning she would be having her eleventh badge already." Serena says. "I heard from Alice that you also have a small crush on her even though you already have the five of us."
"Well, yeah. I mean, we did talk a little back in Stow-on-side." Ash says.
"Well, I won't mind having her in the harem as well." Serena says with a shrug.
And then they notice some Clefairy and Togetic passing, and Ash says, "Wow...I can't believe even Clefairy and Togetic are here in this region."
"Dawn has a Togekiss, which is the final evolved form of Togetic." Serena says. "But I admit, its pre-evolved form Togepi is cute."
"Togepi..." Ash says. "One of the Pokemon Pikachu refuses to fight."
Pikachu groans at how his trainer is mocking him, and Perrserker says, "Really? I don't think I have ever known that."
Serena says, "And Clefairy is from Kanto, right? I remember that they usually live in Mt. Moon."
"Yeah. Lillie actually wants a Clefairy, but not evolving it to a Clefable." Ash says. "Because of that, she has been arguing a lot with her mother."
"Lillie is really bold when it comes to that...I wasn't been able to argue with my mother about something I want until that day in the Skiddo Ranch." Serena says. "I mean, we did argue about not wanting to do Rhyhorn Races, but in the end, it is always her win and I got to practice."
"I see..." Ash sighs as they just walk by a flag with a Cottonee on it. While walking, they also talk about their encounters at Pomace Mountain and how they have to be one heart with two viewpoints, and then they also talk about Pikachu's misfortune with the Mimikyu.
"Speaking of Mimikyu...Perrserker, you managed to see what was under the cloth, right?" Ash asks.
Perrserker flinches and he says, "No! I don't want to remember that! I almost died because of it!"
"Looks like he has PTSD..." Serena sighs.
"Can't blame him." Ash says as they decide to ride their Ponyta around the town. They manage to walk past some Morelull who are sleeping, and they find a secluded spot. Serena asks, "Ash? Why did you bring us here?"
Ash jumps off his own Ponyta and helps Serena off, and he says, "I just realized something we can do if we are in private."
Serena blushes and she waves her hand, "No, Ash! I mean, what are you thinking? We're too young to do that!"
"What are you talking about?" Ash asks in confusion. "I mean, I was just about to ask Rotom to pick a better song."
"Song?" Serena is confused this time, "What song?"
Ash says, "Remember the dance back in Monsieur Pierre's mansion? I just realized we never got to dance back then because of Miette and Eevee. I was just thinking maybe we can have it right here right now? Nobody will be able to disturb us."
Serena blushes at the thought of having a private dance with Ash, he can't believe that he is asking that for her. She gives Ash a hug and says, "I will love to do it! I can't believe you remember all of that!"
Ash smiles back at the girl and he turns to Rotom. "Rotom, if you may."
"Leave this to me." Rotom says as he plays the music, and Ash and Serena start to have their slow dance. While dancing, Serena says, "Since when have you danced so fluently? I mean...when I saw you dance with Miette, your limbs are coordinating and you would always make beginner mistakes."
"I took some dance lessons in Alola. You do remember I attended school back there, right?" Ash asks.
"Oh yeah, so they have dance classes? And you took part in it? I never knew you were the type..." Serena says.
"I was asked by Lillie actually because she wants a partner and she chooses me." Ash says. "But I'm not hating those dance lessons, because I want our dance to be memorable."
"You really mature a lot..." Serena smiles. "It is not a bad thing. I mean, you have really become a prince."
"Not only did those school lessons help a lot, but my Dad also taught me a lot of things before heading to Galar. I am really happy to have those lessons and do those things."
"By the way, you're going to face off against your Grandaunt next, right? Do you know what kind of battle or gym mission is she going to do?" Serena asks.
"My Grandaunt really likes quizzes, that's why my Mom had given me a lot of practice." Ash says. "But I heard that she would use her aura powers in the gym battle. If you answer a question wrong, one of the stats of your Pokemon battling will be lowered."
"That sounds harsh, but I guess it is her style." Serena says, "Since we saw the Hatterene on the screen, I guess it is one of her Gigantamax?"
"Maybe, or maybe it is Alcremie, both of them are Fairy-type Gigantamax." Ash says.
Then they decide to stop talking and enjoy each other's accompany by dancing to the music. And once the music is done, they are now lying on the ground as Serena snuggles in Ash's chest.
"Ash, this is wonderful...thank you for this wonderful date." Serena says.
"Anything for you." Ash replies.
Whiile they are dancing, Dawn is still doing the ghost girl's mission of delivering the letter to a man named Frank. He looks at the letter and says, "Now who could be sending me letters? Oh! Why, this says it's from Paula! That does take me back ages. Paula was the name of a girl I spent all my time playing with when I was a young lad...She fell ill. Didn't tell me, though. She kept it a secret just how sick she was. We ended up having a great row about it...Then I moved away not long after that fight. I never met her again after the day I left. How was she? Did she look well? Dear old Paula..."
Dawn knows for sure that Paula is actually a ghost, but she sighs and says, "She looked well."
"That's a comfort to hear." Then Frank thanks her by giving her a Choice Scarf, but Dawn is shivering at the whole thing in the end.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, you can see that Ash and Serena are having a date right now. The next chapter will be one of the two parts of Gym Battle because I want to add something in the next chapter. I hope you like this chapter.
