Okay so quick Author's note. I don't know how I managed to write all this but here we are. So if you let your mind wander you might get this.
"You know even whilst looking at it in person it still baffles my mind to see it in action." Jaune says as the other watch Ethan build an immaculate staircase with no trouble at all. Using wood and stone to even build supports that held true.
When Ethan built the staircase he added flat platforms to turn it to another directions and essentially looped around the ruins before finding a viable spot to stop at. "I've found an Entrance!" He shouts. "Excellent. Since you gave us access we'll investigate this first. Come along now class." Oobleck says as he began to ascend the stairs. Ethan checked his stockpile of wood and then looked back at the stairs. "Carried away again." He frowned. He put the wood away and waited for the rest by smoking.
Reina appeared besides him with her teleportation abilities. "Mind sharing a smoke? I'm out." She asks. "Sure." Ethan says basing her one of his own cigarettes and lighting it for. "Hoo. What did you put in here?" Reina asks. "Weed." Ethan smiles. "Well this is the shit man. Who's your dealer?" Reina asks. "Ruby." Ethan says.
"What?" Reina asks. She was pretty sure Ruby wasn't into drugs. "Yep." Ethan confirms. He pulls out his scroll to pull up a picture of Ruby tending to a peculiar rose bush. "New species of Rose." Ethan says.
"No way." Reina says. Ethan chuckles before sending a text. Reina grabs her scroll and reads it. 'If you want some you're welcome to ask. Ruby herself keeps a pot with some of her own Marijuana Rosé to grow. The weed I'm smoking. Just don't ask for her pot cookies. They are strong.'
Reina looked to Ethan with suspicion. "You are bullshitting me aren't you?" She surmises. Ethan shook his head. "No bullshitting." He says. "Oh yeah prove it!" Reina says. "Okay." Ethan says as he calls for Ruby.
The scroll goes on a dial tone for a few seconds before Ruby picks up. "Hey Ethan. You called?" Ruby asks. "Hey. Reina knows. Won't believe it." Ethan says. "Oh the Marijuana Rosé? Yeah I grow some of that." Ruby confirms. "WHAT?!" Weiss yells in shock. "Ah, loud." Ethan hisses. "Sorry. But yeah I grow some. Why? Is Reina interested?" Ruby asks. "She is. Bring the cookies." Ethan smirks. "Oh! You'll Love them Reina! I'll make up a batch soon. Bye!" Ruby hangs up.
Leaving Ethan smirking at Reina. "Shut up." Reina grumbles. "Damn this is good." She mutters. And Ethan couldn't help but start laughing.
Meanwhile Weiss was fuming. "Why are you growing Marijuana?! That stuff is a gateway drug!" She yells. "I just planted a rose bush in a patch I thought had some vines I could grow along with it. Turns out I ended up creating a new species of Rose instead. And when I found out I decided to grow it and sell it for extra cash. How else do you thing I got such high end materials for Crescent Rose?" Ruby smiles.
"B-but, But why? That stuff is bad for you!" Weiss yells. "If taken as an inhalent like smoke then yeah. But if prepared like tea with the petals and leaves, The chemicals extracted like regular weed then no its fine. Its naturally grown meaning their is less risk than man made drugs." Ruby argues.
"Yeah chill Weissy. Dad is fine with it as long as she doesn't create more hybrids. And it helps Ruby deal with her chronic migraines as well." Yang says. "Its one of the downsides of my semblance. Since I literally split apart into rose petals to speed around. Not good on the brain through constant use." Ruby grimaces.
"Wait you actively consume it too?" Weiss asks. "Of course. I grew it myself. I should do whatever I want. Like Ethan does with his wither roses." Ruby says. "Wither Roses?" Blake asks. "Its a breed of roses Ethan can make with some Blackburn poured into the ground around it. and he's currently trying to make a hybrid of Ruby's Marijuana Rosé and his own Wither Rose." Yang explains. "The stuff can actually be really lethal to touch. But by some processes The wither roses can be turned into some consumables. Allowing the Blackburn to power our semblances." Yang explains.
"Really? How would that work? Does his semblance power things up?" Blake asks. "Power Blake. Not a semblance. But that's only one aspect. Another is his ability to enhance dust abilities. Hard light dust for example when mixed with Earth dust makes a super strong material he can use out of his Blackburn. Like his grapple hooks in his gloves." Ruby explains.
"Then what's his semblance?" Weiss asks. "We don't know." Ruby answers. "He hasn't unlocked it yet." Yang says. "Oh, So why are wither roses so lethal?" Blake asks. "Its because the Blackburn is so saturated and compacted in the plants that only Ethan can tend to them with no harm to him. Since he is the source of Blackburn. If someone else handles it their flesh literally withers away. hence the name." Yang explains.
"How did you get to know that?" Weiss asks. "When we found a dead Raccoon withered to death one night after Ethan tried making a Wither Rose for the first time." Ruby shudders.
"We had to burn that bush down as a safety measure and put another bush in a greenhouse for Him. He was so pissed at us for so long." Yang chuckles fondly. "Yeah. Well i'm gonna go get my baking supplies. Ethan said to bring the cookies for Reina and I have just the recipe for her." Ruby says as she got up from her bed.
"Just don't overdue it Ruby. Remember what happened last time." Yang reminds. "I didn't kill him Yang! Ethan actually really liked them anyway so Bleh!" Ruby stuck her tongue out in indignation.
"Mind making me some?" Blake asks. "Blake?" Weiss asks. "What? I'm curious." Blake defends herself. "I'll make sure to leave a batch for you." Ruby says as she grabs her Apron, Grabs a few tools and her own bottle, and heads to the kitchen.
"Thank you." Blake smiles. "Then you're gonna be tripping like hell Blakey. Just warning you." Yang chuckles. "Just send me the recordings after." Blake says.
Weiss sighs and gets up from her bed to go take a shower. She walked to the drawer to gather her undergarments and a set of clothes before suddenly screaming in shock. Completely red faced and covering her eyes. "Weiss! What's wrong?" Blake asks. "Th-there's A-a D-d-d-d-" Weiss tries to say. Yang looks in and Groans. "Goddammit Ethan keep track of your dildo you fucker!" She yells in anguish.
Elsewhere Ethan suddenly began laughing his ass off. "AHAHAHAHA! THEY FOUND IT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He cackles. "Ethan?" Cupa asks. "Ahahahahahahaaa! Oh, I'm overjoyed." He breaths out.
"What got you so happy all of a sudden?" Darrick asks. "Yang found the Dildo." Ethan smiles. Immediately everyone was either laughing, Blushing, sighing, or all three. "OH MY GOD THAT HILARIOUS!" Cupa wheezes. "Why do you have a dildo Sanchez?" Oobleck face palms. "Personal use." Ethan says with no shame.
Now more people were blushing. Except Cupa. She was panting as her nose began to bleed. "While I won't stop you from enjoying yourself Sanchez please refrain from mentioning such activities out loud." Oobleck lectures. "Sure thing teach." Ethan says.
He stopped when he almost dropped off a ledge. "Woah." Ethan comments as he looked at the scene before him. "Oh my gosh. That's seriously deep." Pyrrha comments. Ethan looks up and Finds the ceiling was structurally sound. He then jumped of the edge and fired a Grapple hook from his gloves into the ceiling. He swung and flipped to the Next edge. After landing he placed a marker down and a black Hard light line forms. Ethan used that to build a bridge around it. Eventually reaching the rest of the group.
"I build." Ethan says. "That could have ended badly Sanchez." Oobleck says. "But I live." Ethan says as he grabs a small box of tacks. "Here. Place periodically. Crumb trail markers." Ethan says.
"Are these what you just used?" Jaune asks. "Yes." Ethan says. "Hmm. This will certainly help. JNPR we shall head off in that direction. Ren, You are to place these Crumb Trail Markers periodically so we do not get lost. Team EMRD you can go that way. Ethan I want you to place the Crumb Trail Markers yourself." Oobleck instructs. "Hmm." Ethan nods. "Alright." Darrick sighs.
"Let's move out." Ethan instructs. And the two teams split off in their paths. Ethan finally had the chance to find out some answers. "Man why do we gotta do this?" Darrick asks. "To learn of course." Cupa smiles. "Oh please. As if we'll learn anything from some boring ruins." Darrick argues.
"We will." Ethan says with such an assuring tone to his voice. Cupa shivered at his tone. 'He sounds so much like a leader. I like it.' She giggles. Ethan took a step forward. Only to step on a hidden Pressure plate. And get a spike to impale his mouth through the cheeks. Much to the horror of Team EMRD.
