Ok this is the first author's note, this is where the story really diverges. I apologize for the walls of text for the first three chapters, not continuing that here. Also, forgot to do this earlier Disclaimer: I own nothing but myself

"Ryse" I blearily wake up to the sound of someone calling my name "Ryse!"

Oh yeah, it's Pyra. I get up and open my eyes,

"How did you know my name, I don't remember telling you." I ask.

"The bond, remember?"

I think for a second, before remembering something. "So, one question about this bond, would it have anything to do with why I know things I shouldn't"

"I knew the guys name was Malos even though I never heard it. Or how I know that the girl, with the lion is a driver, and the lion is a blade?"

Pyra looked worried for a second, which worried me further

"That's... Not supposed to happen."

She stared at me in concentration for second, before gasping "Ryse, oh no, I screwed up."

I was now majorly worried "Am I going to die again, did you give me cancer or something?"

"Just look" she pointed at the nearby pond

"Well I look different now." I note, looking at my now golden eyes and green crystal on my chest. "What happened?"

"I don't know I was expecting the crystal, it's the life force I gave you, but, your eyes changed, I don't know why. You remind me of..."

My mind filled in the blanks with a word, Mythra

"Who's Mythra?" I ask,

"How did you?" "It doesn't matter, I think I know why you know these things, you might have gotten some subconsious memories from me, they shouldn't effect you too much, but you might know things you wouldn't"

"Ok, I guess that explains that, but are you expecting me to just ignore the fact that my eyes changed colors?" I was frazzled, they say the eyes are the window to the soul, so what did it mean that mine had changed color?

"Ryse, calm down, it's just a bit of appearance, I'm sure it's nothing important."

Her tone told me otherwise, I knew she was worried by it, but I couldn't bring myself to bring it back up. So I changed the subject

"So, how are we going to find food, we have water, also, what titan are we on?"

"I don't know what titan we are on, but we can hunt those Bunnit's"

She points towards some large bunnies hopping around

"Is it just me, or do those tails look poisonous, are you sure it's good to eat them?"

"We just won't eat the tail."

I thought about that for a second before nodding. I pulled out the greatsword and charged

LINEBREAK

"I don't know how I feel about this" I said, while chewing down on roast Bunnit

"About what, the Bunnits?"

"Not the Bunnits, just, everything that has happened recently."

Before Pyra could respond, we heard a scream of "Gramps!" echo throughout the woods

So I asked her "Do we investigate?"

"I'd say so"

We run through the forest, avoiding dawn fliers and Bunnits all the while, following the loud sounds of someone yelling about his grandpa.

We find a trail of broken trees and follow it to a clearing, with the titan that saved us before lying on the ground with what appeared to be spears stuck in his body.

Next to him was the diver boy, although he was missing his mask. He was crying, bawling was more like it.

I ran up to him and put my hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him, but he shoves me away

As the titan disintegrates, he pulls out his swords and charges at me, rage taking away all sense of reason.

"It's ypur fault he died, if it wasn't for you, none of this would have happened!" He screams, swinging wildly, with no skill or strategy

"I'm sorry, I didn't know he would-" I was interupted by having to block a downward strike that would have cleaved me in two

He screamed again and fired his hookshot at me, forcing me to dodge out the way.

His rage had made him nearly incoherent as he continued trying to kill me. I didn't want to hurt him, after all, he was in a state of shock, but he was lashing out at me, so I didn't have much of a choice.

I spun around and hit him on the head hard with the pommel of my sword, knocking him out cold.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to do this." I said, I felt sorry for him, but I couldn't just keep blocking forever.

"It wasn't your fault, you know." Said Pyra, from behind me

"I know, but, I still feel responsible." I put down a bit of food next to him, and walked away.

Ok, I'd say that was a pretty good twist, with no Pyra to comfort him, and the fact that Gramps didn't come back to life pushed Rex over the edge. He's not going to be so much of a pushover next time though.
