It's been a year since the fall of casita and about 6 months since Isabela and Mirabel took their sisterly love to another level.

During the months before confessing their feeling, Isabela and Mirabel were a stuttering mess around each other. The rest of the family took that as them getting to know each other, which gave the sisters more chances to talk.

The only ones who suspected anything else were Antonio and Dolores. Antonio because he was almost always by Mirabel's side and witnessed a blushing Isabela carefully entwine Mirabel's hair in flower pedals before stuttering a goodbye. Leaving a blushing Mirabel smiling a dreamy smile as she watched Isabela stumble away.

Dolores because she heard Mirabel mutter under her breath for a few days straight but couldn't make out what she was saying. She was getting worried and was about to ask her prima if she was ok.

Until the night before, when Mirabel was pacing outside Isabela's door saying,

"Hey, Isa, I – uh- I know we have a day off tomorrow, and I was wondering if you would like to spend it with me? You can say no, of course! I was just wondering since you know we haven't had a chance just to hang out. Just the two of us. Uh, you know what, forget I asked." Mirabel turned on her heels and started to make her way to her door.

Dolores was going to offer to hang out with her until a sweet giggle was heard, making Mirabel stop in her tracks. Isabela emerges from around the corner, covering her mouth while looking at Mirabel with playful eyes.

"I don't know, Mira; you are very convincing when you want to be." Isabela steps closer to Mirabel and moves a stray curl from her eyes. Isabela creates small pedals that weave perfectly into Mirabel's hair.

"Hey! It took me a while to get them out the last time." Mirabel said as she delicately removed one from her hair.

Pouting, Isabela steps away with her hands standing at her side. "Oh, I'm sorry. I-I thought it made you look adorably beautiful. But if it's a hassle for you, I won't do them anymore."

Mirabel holds up her hands and waves them franticly in front of her. "No! No, no! Isa, I'm so sorry! I was messing around! I love it when you put flowers in my hair. It makes me think about you." Isabela smiles softly and grabs Mirabel's hands.

"You're always on my mind Mirabel. I don't think there's a moment when you aren't." Isabela said softly. Mirabel squeezes their hands, takes a deep breath, and asks Isabela what she's been trying to ask her all week.

"Isabela, may you spend the day with me tomorrow?" Mirabel stares at Isabela. Isabela thinks about it for a while. But Dolores can hear her heart beat faster.

"I would love to." Isabela said and slowly leaned her forehead against Mirabel's. Mirabel removes her hands and slowly places them on Isabela's waist.

Dolores quietly goes to her room and tries to ignore the sweet compliments both girls give each other.

Flash forward a few months later, and you wouldn't see Mirabel without Isabela or Isabela without Mirabel. For Dolores and Tonito, it was sweet watching them create a whole new relationship without fear of being hurt…well, hurt in a pushing each other away kind of hurt.

Everyone else was happy that both girls were as they were before Mirabel's failed gift ceremony.

"Dolores, have you seen Mirabel?" Isabela asked when everyone was coming home from their day's work one evening.

Dolores held an ear out and listened for Mirabel. What she heard was labored breathing from her prima's room. Confused, Dolores looked back to Isabela.

"She's in her room, but I think something is wrong," Dolores said. Isabela's face paled, and she hurried to Mirabel's room. Dolores was about to go to her room for some quiet time when she remembered what Mirabel had asked her a few years ago.

"Wait! Isabela!" Dolores shouted and ran to Mirabel's room. Isabela was turned towards the door sprouting flowers from her head and all around the room when she got there. Mirabel fell to the ground attempting to put a ruffled skirt on.

"Isa, Isabela I can explain!" Mirabel stuttered as she rearranged the front of her skirt to make it seem there was nothing there.

"Mirabel, Isabela, go to my room and have this conversation," Dolores said, and both Isabela and Mirabel looked at her. Rolling her eyes, Dolores clarifies.

"I know about you two, and don't worry; I won't say anything. Isabela, let Mirabel explain, please." Isabela glared at Dolores, but she continued explaining. "Before you accuse me, no, I didn't do anything with Mirabel. She's always liked you and never looked at anyone like she looks at you."

Isabela closes her eyes, opens them, and walks to Dolores's room. Mirabel says a quiet thank you and follows Isabela. Dolores closes Mirabel's door and lays down on the bed.

Isabela stood in the center inside Dolores's room, facing away from the door. The only noise emitting from the room was a small lake with a waterfall—a peaceful, silent room.

Mirabel closed the door and stood behind Isabela but not close to not scare her. Mirabel cleared her throat to signal to Isabela that she would start talking.

"Isabela, I'm so sorry you had to see that. I mean it when I say I have not done that in a while. I-I know you have questions, and I am more than willing to answer them."

Isabela breathes a sigh, turns around, and creates a flower bed for her to sit on. Mirabel sat down in front of her with a good amount of space between them.

Mirabel took a breath and told Isabela how she came to have an extra appendage.

"It started the first time I was supposed to have my monthly cycle. I was so excited to at least have something in common with you and Luisa. However, I was in so much pain that I couldn't move that morning. It felt like the worst cramp imaginable. I knew that if I stayed home, Abuela would find another reason for me not to help the family." Mirabel started, and Isabela gave a small move to comfort her but stopped and let Mirabel continue.

"So, I pushed through the pain. I dressed and made my way to the kitchen. That's when I found Mama about to finish the breakfast. She took in my appearance and knew right away I was in pain. She shoved an arepa in my mouth and told me not to move. I ate it, and the pain subsided. It was still there but barrable. I helped her set the rest of the table." Mirabel fidgeted with her fingers as she got closer to the truth.

"By the end of breakfast, I was feeling ok, but when I got up, Mama told me to sit back down and wait because she had to speak to me about something. I remember everyone was curious, but with one look from Tia Pepa, everyone went to their chores. Abuela was the last to leave and told Mama to hurry up because the people needed her help." Isabela let out an annoyed huff and crossed her arms over her chest.

Even though she wasn't looking directly at Mirabel, Isabela was always protective of her, even if she showed it poorly. Mirabel smiled softly at Isabela and continued.

"Mama took a while to tell me what was wrong. I had never seen her like that, scared, confused, but determined. I asked what was wrong, but as I shifted in my seat, I felt something…something that shouldn't be there. Looking down, I saw, well, I saw it um… up… I freaked out. I tried to pull it off, but it was sensitive and hurt so much. I fell, crouching in on myself. Mama came and picked me up from the ground."

"I cried into her shoulder as she carried me to her room. Once there, she set me down gently and gave me some emergency food she kept there. The pain stopped, but there was another problem. So, I stayed lying face down while looking at mama pacing."

"After a few moments, I asked her what it was, and she explained it was a male appendage. The only plausible explanation was, for some reason, the magic of the Encanto waited until I was a teenager to 'bless' me with a gift."

"Of course, I started crying, and she comforted me. Abuela came and demanded Mama help the people and leave me to deal with whatever. Mama did leave but to cook dinner for the family and send a cart of food to the town square. Abuela for furious with me that day."

"A few days went by, and it was the only time I was happy with how Abuela cast me aside or people not paying attention to me cause it gave me time to see if it was an actual appendage. It turns out it was, and um, long story short, it works just the same. Suppose those dumb boys had anything to say when they whispered to each other. Oh, and by the way, I was hiding behind a trash can when I overheard them talk. Not because I went to find out. Um yeah, do you uh have any questions? Cause I know if I start going on and on, I won't be able to stop, and then it would just be me talking and yo-"

Mirabel's rant was cut short by Isabela's lips on hers. It was short and sweet but held so much love Mirabel had to hold onto Isabela.

"Mirabel, I am so sorry this happened to you. Especially since I was such a bitch to you." Isabela pulled away but placed her forehead on Mirabel's forehead.

"You we-"

Isabela brought a finger up and placed it on Mirabel's lips. "No talking. It's time for you to sit there and listen."

Isabela pulled away and held Mirabel's face in her hands. "Mira, I am so sorry about who I was back then. For the longest time, I would always make sure you would be included with the family. But ever since I turned 13, Abuela spoke to me and said I needed to distance myself from you so no one would think poorly of me." Isabela saw the hurt flash through Mirabel's eyes. Isabela kissed both eyelids and whispered, "I'm sorry," and continued her speech.

"Looking back, I should've said no or done something, but I didn't. I pushed you away with hurtful words that made me feel worse about myself. And then I started becoming a person I didn't know. A person who did everything for everyone else. A person who hurt the only one in my life that I could count on for anything. And one day, love." Mirabel opened her mouth, but Isabela placed her finger on her lips again. "I'm not finished yet."

"Mirabel, thank you for telling me this. I know it was scary and deal, but please understand that I will not treat you differently because I love you. Not only as my sister but as my girlfriend."

Mirabel leans forward and captures Isabela's lips with her own. At first, it was a sweet, chaste kiss. Then Mirabel gets bold and licks Isabela's lips. Isabela opened her mouth, and their tounges battled for dominance.

Isabela pulled away, and Mirabel attempted to follow but was stopped again by Isabela. "DO you have another reason why this happened to you?"

Mirabel thought for a moment and said, "Over the years, I concluded that because Tio Bruno left and never had kids or a son to carry the name, the next one should be Camillo, but I guess for safe measure, the Encanto chose me."

Isabela thought this over. It made sense, but why Mirabel out of everyone. Hasn't she been through enough?

Mirabel saw Isabela, deep in thought that she softly called out. "Isa, Isabela can you hear me?"

Isabela nodded her head and looked toward Mirabel. She looked her over and tried not to linger on the front of her skirt. "Out of curiosity, what made you so hot and bothered?" She would have been confident in asking if it weren't for the flowers popping up in random places.

Mirabel looked down with her face all red. Isabela had a suspicion but wanted to hear it from Mirabel.

"You'll only tease me."

"Mira, I'll tease you either way. I'm just curious to see if I should ask you to help stretch me out instead of Luisa." Isabela said sweetly, and Mirabel blushed hard. She moved forward and wrapped her arms around Isabela's waist, and pulled her, so she was straddling her waist.

Isabela and Mirabel laughed as Mirabel leaned her head onto Isabela's neck.

"Please don't ask me around this time. I swear if you do, we'll never get anything done." Mirabel said.

"See, you say that, but I don't think I've ever seen you like this before." Isabela teased and ran her hand through Mirabel's hair.

"…I make sure I'm out of viewing range whenever you need to do extra lifting…and it didn't help when you would stroll past and wink at me." Mirabel lifted her face from Isabela's neck.

"Hmm, so" Isabela shifted slightly on Mirabel's hips. Mirabel sucked in a breathed sharply.

"You're saying that I am the reason you decided to…touch yourself today?" Isabela asked while slowly moving her hips along Mirabel's lap. Mirabel bit her lip and closed her eyes tightly to keep her composure.

"Isa-I- not in Dolores's room," Mirabel said shakenly, yet she didn't move to get up. Isabela wrapped her arms around Mirabel's neck and picked up the pace.

"Oh!" Isabela exclaimed as she felt Mirabel's appendage grow between them. Flowers bloomed everywhere.

"Sorry, I just- I can't…."

"It's fine, Mira. I just need to get used to the feeling." Isabela said and captured Mirabel's lips again.

Things started to get out of hand with Mirabel's hands moving from Isabela's waist to her backside. Isabela let out a small moan as she entwined her fingers through Mirabel's hair. She tugged Mirabel's head back. Mirabel let out a slight whine and looked at Isabela with lust-filled eyes.

"Be careful, hermana. This might be new for us, but I won't play nice if you start doing things like that." Isabela whispers before she bites Mirabel's bottom lip and tugs it before she starts to suck on it.

Mirabel moaned, moved Isabela flushed against her waist, and placed her onto the flower bed.

"Ah, Mirabel!" Isabela whispered, yelled, and wrapped her legs around Mirabel's waist. Mirabel moaned and started to grind against Isabela.

Short breaths can be heard from both women. Isabela closed her eyes and got lost in the sensation. She took her hands out of Mirabel's hair and dug her nails into Mirabel's back, and Mirabel through her head back and let out a loud moan.

"Miercoles Isabela. I, I'm close." Isabela moved her lips up to messily kiss Mirabel. Both were so lost in their passion-filled world that they overlooked the room filled with flowers and other plants.

"Mira!"

"Isa! Are you?"

"Yes, so, so AH!"

"ISA!"

Both came undone and fell into each other with labored breathing. Mirabel slowly started to move off of Isabela, but she kept her still.

"Stay."

"Of course, mi amor."

Isabela chuckled and kissed the top of Mirabel's head. Mirabel left small kisses along Isabela's neck.

"…do you regret it?" Mirabel asked softly. Isabela grabbed Mirabel's face and lifted it, so they were looking at each other.

"Mirabel, I love you. I will always love you no matter what, and I will spend the rest of my existence letting you know and hopefully showing you how much I do. For as long as you'll have me." Isabela promised and carefully wiped some tears slowly falling from Mirabel's eyes.

"Thank you," Mirabel said softly and captured Isabela's lips in a slow kiss. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes until they heard a knock on the door. Pulling away from each other, Isabela hastily cleared the room of plants and flowers while trying to look presentable.

Mirabel did the same and stood to get to the door. When she opened it, they were greeted with a frustrated-looking Dolores.

"I came to tell you that dinner is ready, and if you plan on doing that again, please be careful with your powers and never do it in my room again." Dolores turned quickly on her heels and left the sisters blushing.

Isabela slowly walked up to Mirabel and wrapped her arms around Mirabel's waist from behind. Mirabel leaned back and smiled. Isabela dropped her head to Mirabel's shoulder and kissed them softly.

Nudging Isabela away carefully, Mirabel turned in Isabela's arm and wrapped her arms around Isabela's neck. "Hey, don't start things you can't finish, hermana." Mirabel teased and chuckled when Isabela shook her head.

"I know, but you're just so beautiful; I can't seem to keep my hands off you," Isabela said and kissed Mirabel softly.

"Me too, Isa. But we have to go eat, and then, if you want, we can maybe try it again…without clothes?" Mirabel asked.

Isabela smiled and nodded at Mirabel.

"I would love to…but we might want to let Dolores know to stay in her room for tonight…well, this whole week."

Mirabel raised an eyebrow. "This whole week?"

Isabela grabbed Mirabel's hand and led them out of Dolores's room and towards the dining room.

"Yes, Mira, I want to explore everything with you." They reached the dining room corner when Isabela whispered into Mirabel's ear.

"And I do mean everything." Isabela grabbed Mirabel's earlobe and slowly pulled her ear with her teeth.

Mirabel let out a sharp inhale and tried to think of anything but Isabela below her, begging for more.

Isabela left Mirabel standing in place and round the corner to be greeted by the family. Isabela sat down in her chair and glanced at Dolores, who glared at her behind her wine glass.

Mirabel stumbled into the dining room and took her place next to Isabela. Each family member smiled at each other and waited for Abuela to give them their duties for tomorrow. All the while, Isabela slowly placed her hand on Mirabel's thigh.

Mirabel sharply turned to Isabela, whose face never gave anything away. Mirabel looked towards the other side of the table to find Dolores shaking her head side to side and mouthing, "Sorry." To her before, Mirabel felt Isabela's hand move toward her appendage.

These are going to be the longest days ever.

Mirabel thought as she tried to steady her heart and face. She was about to perform a miracle.
