Bell Pov:
I woke up the next day ready to go see Airmid and get cleared physically to start going back down to the dungeon. I want to visit the Xenos and apologize and I also want to see my rate of progress with my new stats.
When I got dressed and headed to the Dining Room to get some breakfast, I saw the whole gang together.
"Hey good morning guys." I said in a still not fully awake voice and droopy eyes.
"Good morning bro, you okay you look like you're barely waking up?" Asked Welf
"Yes Master Bell you look really sleepy" Added Lili
"Hmm yeah just wanted to get something to eat before I start getting ready. I wanted to do something different today. I also wanted to eat before I went to see Airmid to physically clear me or Goddess Hestia won't let me back in the dungeon. Not to mention I have to report my Level up to the Guild." I explained sheepishly rubbing the back of my head.
"Makes sense, we all know how she can get when she's worried" Mikoto says only to get an indignant 'Hey' from a short blue eyed Goddess.
"It's okay Goddess I think we all find it endearing in our own way. So welf have you made that new set of armor yet, my last one kind of got wrecked and I need a new one now." I asked "Yeah I need to put the finishing touches on it. It's my best work ye… wait what did you say earlier?"
"I'm going to get checked?"
"No after that"
"My level up?"
"WHAT YOU LEVELED UP AGAIN!?" shouted everyone but a calm goddess and blonde Renard who may or may not have eavesdropped last night.
"Oh yeah that Minotaur was tough and I guess just surviving was enough to get me to level up." I said nonchalantly trying to placate my fellow familia members.
"Well I'll be damned level 4 in 5 months you may need a name besides 'Little Rookie'" Weld said with a snicker at the end
"Yeah I want to see if I can get a new name like 'Super Fire Ultra Hero' . The last name I got was a little embarrassing." I said shyly
"Master Bell I respect you in every way from your ability to lead to your heroism and morals to always follow your heart, but your ability to come up with names is almost as bad as Welf's" Lili said in a deadpan tone which got nods of agreement, but sweat drops from the two people she insulted.
"Uhh yeah I'll just hope I get a better one" I said finishing up my meal before I got up to wash my dishes. I heard
"Hey Bell before you go we all heard what happened with Kenki and just want you to know I respect your decision and I think you made the right one, but who knows maybe you can finally start that harem that your grandpa wanted you to have." Welf said teasingly
I was left a stuttering mess and as red as a tomato. I may have decided to pay more attention to the women around me, but I still have little experience interacting with the intention of pursuing a relationship with a girl.
"I'm just pulling you chain man have fun talking to that cutie Airmid" he said going back to the forge.
"Bell you better not become a playboy rabbit" Lili pouted
"Uhh… sure well I'll be going, I still need to get dressed." I said wanting to avoid the incoming interrogation. After I showered I put some casual clothes on a black long sleeve, black pants, and some boots.
On my way out of the manor I hear people go silent when they see me which I thought was strange, but hey so am I so I can't complain.
Once I get to Dian Chet Store I go inside to see a silver haired beauty in a white and blue thigh length dress adjusting the bottles in the front to make them more presentable. She turns around and I see her Violet eyes and an emotionless face that reminds me of a certain blonde, but I decide to ignore it.
"Hi welcome can I help you with anything?" She wondered why I came here when it's widely known that I normally go to Blue's Pharmacy.
"Yes my Goddess made me come here to get a checkup to make sure that I'm fully healed." I said with a sheepish smile
"That's fine, follow me to the back room so I can run a diagnostic check on your body."
"A what? Nevermind lead the way."
"Okay, strip." she said with a straight face.
"HUH!" I said covering my body in a way that no self respecting should.
"I need to check your body thoroughly to make sure there is no permanent damage." she said with another straight face, but I could've sworn I saw a red hue on her cheeks.
"Ohh okay that makes sense I guess. Can you turn around while I undress?"
"Understood," she said while turning around. I quickly undress into only my underwear.
"Alright I'm ready." I said so she turned back around.
"Lie down on the bed with your arms by your side."
I lie down on my back and she inspects my body with an evaluating eye.
"Hmm.. you seem to be perfectly fine and your body is maturing quite nicely." she said with a straight face while touching my body in ways that almost made me 'eep' "Very nice I don't see a problem with you just let me run one more scan to make sure that there are no fractures in your bones." After running a test I didn't understand with some weird machine she gave me that all clear after touching my body in a way I didn't think was part of the tests, but I don't know medicine very well so it could've just been me.
On my way out I paid her and thanked her while heading to the guild.
Airmid Pov:
'Hmm he has a developing body, cute face, and nice personality. It could work. That's not mentioning him turning down the breaker of 1000 hearts hehe, I can't believe I'm even thinking that.' I thought with a slight blush on my face after he left.
Back to Bell:
On my way to the guild I was getting more stares than usual. I just ignored them and walked into the guild hall that became suspiciously quiet and I walked up to my advisor who was eerily quiet while looking at me.
"Hey Eina I came to tell you about my level up." I said with a bright smile on my face. Which seemed to shake her out of her stupor.
"HUH YOU LEVELED UP AGAIN?!" she all but shouted getting murmurs from people around me.
"Yeah, can we go talk in the private booth?" I said trying to get away from the attention.
"Yes, my apologies follow me. I also have some questions about some rumors that have been going around recently." she said try to compose herself and failing miserably.
Once we went to the private room we sat down and she asked me about my level up.
"Yeah I leveled up from the minotaur fight and had to wait a bit to heal up before getting a status update."
"That's understandable and I'll put out the notice as soon as I can. But I have a question about the rumors about you rejecting the confession of a certain blonde swordsman." she asked skeptically
"Well I think it was obvious to everyone of my crush on her, but some things happened and I grew out of it. I want to focus more on the people around me rather than getting lost chasing something that I realized I had an obsession with. So yes I rejected her wanting to live in the present, not the past where I would pursue her single mindedly." I said with conviction in my voice and a small smile on my face.
"While I don't know what happened nor will I ask to respect your privacy, just know that I will support you as an advisor and as a woman." she said with a blush on her face.
"Thanks Eina you're the best, but I have another question: who was spreading what happened? I don't think Aiz would and there was no one else?" I asked
"Well it came from inside the Loki familia her name was Aki I think Aiz might have vented after being rejected and it just spread." Eina theorized
"Hmmm well I just don't want things to escalate so can we keep what I said in here between just the two of us." I asked hopefully
"Of course Bell I'd do anything for you." she said with an atomic blush on her face. The way she phrased her words made the Rabbit go crimson.
"Thank you Miss Eina. I appreciate it."
"Any time Bell anytime. If you ever want to talk either come back to the guild or you can go to my house. Here's my address." She said with a smile and thought that almost made her pass out while writing down her address and giving it to me.
I smile and thank her on my way out of the Guild. I see the executives of the Loki Famillia walking towards the guildhall and I turn the other way not wanting to get caught up in a commotion. When I hear
"Hey is that Argonaut-kun?" from an amazon that got the attention from everyone in the vicinity, including a certain boaz that was tasked to make sure that nothing got out of hand.
"Oi that is the tomato brat." A gray haired werewolf sneered
I stop knowing walking away at this point is just going to cause more problems.
"Hey what's up guys" I said cheerily trying not to make the moment awkward. Finn responded with a wave and a certain blonde girl looking at her feet in tears.
"What gives with you being so calm right now after chasing Aiz just to reject her" Bete snarled
"Well I just made the best decision for me and I'm sorry if I offended you in anyway, but I don't think what happened between us involves you." I said calmly
"What do you mean it doesn't involve me she's a member of my familia you little shit and you just toss her away once you." "Bete shut up your making a scene." Riviera and Finn said simultaneously
"Look I think it's best if we try if I don't involve myself with your familia for awhile" I said knowing that it was for the best to avoid potential conflicts. Aiz wanted to speak up but was cut off by Bete.
"Like hell you stupid rabbit" Bete shouted laughing himself at me only only to get blocked by none other then the only level 7 adventurer in the city. That's when Aiz saw her chance to speak.
"Wait Bell I just wanted to talk. I wanted to say." Just to get cutoff by the 'King'
"That is enough Loki familia leave now and don't cause a conflict." He said throwing the gray haired wolf to the floor near them.
"Very well" said the 'Braver' helping Bete off the floor.
"Bell Cranel, follow me, my lady has requested your presence."
I was shocked by his intervention in keeping the peace, but complied anyway knowing that it was for the best. His request caught me off guard, but it wasn't much so I went with him, turning my back to the Loki executives and following him to Babel Tower.
3rd Person Pov:
The Loki executives were schooled to see Bell with the 'King' and the first one to speak was Bete.
"What the fuck how is that rabbit with the Freya familia now. First he turns down Aiz next he joins up with the strongest familia in the whole damn city. That bastard!" Bete snarled
'He didn't want to be associated with us anymore, is it because of me' Aiz thought with a frown after wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I want to say right now that if you encounter him don't cause any problems. First to make sure it doesn't go public that we are harassing a small familia and now it's to make sure we don't get into problems with the Freya familia." Finn said the other were in agreement except a certain blonde haired girl, when they heard.
"Hey did you here 'Little Rookie just hit level 4" Rando 1
"What no way damn level 4 in 5 months. Looks like he's no 'Little Rookie' anymore. Ha well I'll be damned if he continues like this he might hit level 6 or 7 by the end of the year." Rando 2
"I wonder how many people are going to try and join his familia now that he's on the up and coming." Rando 3
Back with the Loki Familia
"That damn brat leveled up again it took me years to do what he did in months" Bete snarled mad that he's getting surpassed.
"Wow Argonaut-kun is amazing, soon he might even be able to pin me down." Tiona whispered with a red face while rubbing her thighs together. But the other still heard her.
"What the hell Tiona you might be my twin, but you need to respect what just happened!" Tione shouted, smacking her twin on the head.
"Do you think Bell will smack me too." Tiona said panting a bit while still rubbing her legs together. Shocking everyone who heard.
"She likes Bell too." Aiz said with a small frown and tears coming back to her eyes.
"Tiona I know it's most likely you Amazon instincts, but please compose yourself it's just going to cause more problems" Riveria said in a regal tone
"Damn Tha' boy really does now how to impres' he might come around later" Gareth said with a booming laugh.
"It'll work itself out just don't make more problems" Finn said sagely
"I wanted to apologize to him, but he wouldn't even hear me out." Aiz said aloud with a frown marring her face.
"Let's just inform the guild of our upcoming dungeon dive and get back to the manor" Finn ordered
Bell Pov:
I followed the near 7 foot Boaz into the tower and we go into the elevator. We spent nearly 5 minutes going up in pure silence until I hear in a deep voice that I felt in my bones.
"You have gotten stronger Bell Cranel"
"Uhh.. hehe yeah I guess I just try my best and to help where I can. If I want to be a true hero I need to be a symbol of hope." I said with a sheepish smile.
"A strong goal to aspire for." The Boaz responded
When we arrived to the top floor we entered a hallway with a single door at the end that looked more expensive than my life time earning. I was scared to approach it until the Boaz opened it for me motioning to enter.
Once inside it was a large room with what was probably the biggest bed I've ever seen in the center. Near a huge bay window I saw a woman sitting on a throne and she looked like an Angel and when she spoke I almost thought she was one.
"Hello my dear I've been wanting to meet you for awhile now." She said walking over to me and I could see her in her full glory.
My breath hitched for a second when I saw her. There she was standing around my height with long silver hair that came down to her lower back that looked as soft as silk, purple eyes that looked like gems staring at me with so much admiration that I was confused. She had on a black outfit that I didn't know if I could call a dress, but somehow fit her.
"Umm hi can you're the Goddess Freya right? I met you at the Apollo Familia Ball" I asked
"Why yes my dear you must want to know why I invited you here." The goddess of beauty said
"Yea I was a bit confused as to why, but it must be a pretty good reason." I said unnaturally calm in the presence of someone
"Well take a seat and I'll explain" so we sat and the Boaz stood near the door
"You see when the gods came down from Tenkai we sealed our powers, but some of our more passive abilities stayed with us and one of mine was the color to see souls. 6 months ago you came to the city and were rejected by almost all of the main gods including mine. I can say it wasn't with my permission though if I had seen you when you came by I would've let you join immediately. However when I caught sight of your soul and I wanted to have you join my familia, but it was too late you joined Hestia. All I can say is that it was love at first sight and I've been watching you this whole time giving you challenges to overcome to be a true hero. Until recently I was content with just watching your accolades basking in your soul, but it has a new shine that I couldn't hold it in anymore and I wanted to tell you that I love you and I believe that you are my Odr. The one I've been waiting for." She explained
"I want to get something out of the way first. When you say give me challenges, what do you mean?" I asked
"Well I have given you multiple as well as help. The first was the silverback, next I helped you with the grimoire that gave you firebolt, next was the Minotaur and after was Apollo familia. Finally it was the Minotaur from a week ago with Ottars sword. And I also want to add that I. The situations we no I put you in never put your friends in danger of dying. I just wanted to see you succeed and shine brighter." She said with a beautiful smile on her face that made my heart skip a beat.
"I-I want to thank you for everything you've ever done for me even if I didn't realize it was you and I'm not mad about the challenges and while I can't give you a proper answer now can we get to know each other more and see where this goes. Also how did you give me the grimoire I thought that was Syr?" I said with a slight blush on my face, content standing up and opening my arms to give her a hug which she jumped into.
"Of course take all the time you need, we can even go on a couple dates. Also I should probably let you know that I have an item that lets me slightly alter my appearance." She said giving me a chase kiss on the cheek.
"Wait so… so you're Syr?!" I asked, more shocked that the top goddess In The city worked as a waitress than the kiss she gave me.
"Of course I've always been around and will always be around for you. So if you ever need help or anything at all just let me know." She said with a sultry smile on her face.
"Well thank you for the talk I'll see you later Lady Freya" I said in a respectful tone with a smile on my face.
"Now none of that Bell-kun just call me Freya or if you want you can give me a nickname."
"Well thank you for everything." I said walking to the door that the Boaz opened "See you later Fre-chan!" I shouted as I went in the elevator and left Babel tower going back to the manor knowing that rumors were spreading and I needed to lay low for a bit.
Freya Pov:
After Bell left I laid down on my bed and squealed into my pillow like a schoolgirl. "Ottar I can't believe it he said yes he said yes he even gave me a nickname. Oh my me(god) do you think he'll take me on a date soon?" Her ramblings were interrupted by a cough from a certain Boaz.
"My lady, while I think this was a giant leap in your relationship, there are rumors from what has happened with the 'Kenki' and I think he will most likely lay low before he reveals himself to the public again." Ottar suggested
"You're probably right, Ottar, but I can't help being so excited it feels amazing." I said with my mind thinking of other reasons to Bell a rabbit. I am going to sleep amazing tonight.
