"The Boiling Isles, born from the flesh and Bones of a fallen Titan. This original magic was so potant, all life on the Isles evolve to wield magic, too. For years we explore those powers freely, until a mysterious witch appeared who declared that he, and he alone could speak to the island. He said that we were using magic all wrong. His teachings, his strength grew, and he became Emperor Belos."explained King as Batman was listening to his explanation carefully.
"Go on."said Batman, who needed to know everything about Belos and his coven system as knowing your enemy was only half the battle, but it was important in order to win the war!
"Belos said the mixing magic was wrong, that only he had that right. So he created the coven system, and there are knowledge was restricted, and our potential sealed away. Those who resist or cold "Wild Witches", and they face horse punishment. Emperor Belos has since retreated into his castle. There are whispers that say he's planning something big. I wonder if catching Eda was part of his big. What do you think Luz?"asked King, as Batman was looking over the book very carefully.
"He sounds like your typical tyrant that has appeared throughout throughout the ages back on Earth, I'm surprised so many people listen to him. My guess is that he's extremely charismatic and tells people what they want to hear, praising them anyways they didn't expect. And by doing that he earns their undying loyalty."said Batman, who knew of similar villains back on Earth who use the same strategy, the most obvious being Vandal Savage.
Luz meanwhile was looking over a gift Eda left for her which was a cloak made out of witch's wool, special wool that's designed to repel powerful spells.
"I don't care what Belos is up to, because today I'm saving Eda!"declared Luz, determined to save her teacher.
"And you're going to help me, Batman."said Luz as she looked at the Dark Knight.
"Luz, I understand where you're coming from, but we need to formulate a plan in order have a higher success rate of rescuing your teacher."said Batman, as his parental instincts were telling him not to let her go, even though he felt like he had no right to be her father.
"You're my best chance of saving Eda. Come on, you are the master infiltration expert and know exactly how to survive as you did manage to survive in Arkham after the Joker and his goons took it over that one time."said Luz, as Batman what's the best chance of saving Eda.
But before Batman could argue more, Luz head off to another room, and soon he and King started running after her.
"Luz, what are you doing?"asked King as Luz entered a room filled with weapons.
"This is serious, King. Eda used her powers to save me and got caught by Lilith. Now she's the Owl Beast and has been taken before the emperor. I don't know what he's planning, but I'm going to rescue her."said Luz as she picked up a mishaped dagger.
"That won't work if you head in there guns blazing."said Batman as he took the dagger away from Luz.
"You need to know the lay of the land, know the guard schedules, their rotation patterns, any weakness in the defense, and the nerve to act."said Batman as he grabbed some rope tied to a hook.
"Batman I know you are right but we need to do something quick! Eda is without magic, and you and me are her best chance of getting her back safely."said Luz, as Batman put the rope around his utility belt.
"I know Luz, and that is why I'm going to help you."said Batman, as he handed loose a pair of brass knuckles..
"Brass knuckles?"Luz said with much confusion in her voice.
"Nth metal brass knuckles. They will allow you to break through any defensive magic we may face."said Batman Luz looked over the Nth metal brass knuckles.
"Haven't you two been listening to me. He's the emperor! He's the most powerful witch alive."said King, trying to discourage Luz from doing this.
"Young demon, I can tell you really care about Luz, and you don't want her to put her life in danger. But I I have a feeling she won't listen to you or me in regards to this subject. She has made upper mind save her teacher, no matter who she's up against."said Batman, as Luz definitely inherited his stubborn streak.
"He's right King, please try to understand. Eda is in this situation because of me, because of my stupid choice. I have to make up for it."said Luz, as she feels it's a responsibility to make up for her mistake by saving Eda from the emperor.
"But she's in her Owl Beast form. How will she even recognize you?"askd King, as Eda in Owl Beast form has attacked indiscriminately before, including those closest to her!
"We will worry about that later."said Batman, as he was trying to think of a plan that would be most effective.
"And don't even for a second think I forgot about you! Why are you here?! Why do you know Luz?! Why should I trust you?! Do you think just because you're some superhero who saved Luz, that I should trust you, well think again."said King, as Luz tried to cover his mouth to shut him up.
"Her mother saved my life a long time ago."responded Batman, getting Luz's attention.
"It was the first year of my crime-fighting career when the Gotham crime families put a bounty on my head. A hitman known as Deadshot tried to collect, and in the ensuing fight I ended up taking a bullet in the abdomen. I would have died from blood loss and hypothermia if Luz's mother didn't find me that night and treat my injuries at the veterinary clinic she worked at. I owe her so I will help Luz save someone who clearly means a lot to her."said Batman, leaving out key details as he felt like he had no right to tell Luz that he was her biological father.
"Batman..."said Luz, having so many questions right now, but deciding to put them off until later.
"Well then, if he is going with you then I'm going to."said King, as he felt like Luz needed someone she trusted to have her back.
"King..."
"Me and Eda didn't always see eye to eye, but I do consider her family. I want her back as much as you do."said King, as Eda raised him since he was very young and to him, she was the closest thing he had to a mother.
"Alright, then we got no time to lose."said Luz as she tried to run out of the room, but Batman grabbed her by her cape.
"First we prepare and have a bag of plan, for a backup plan."said Batman, as basically they were about to face the most powerful faction of the Boiling Isles.
Meaning not only were they outnumbered, but even he didn't know what Belos and his cronies had to throw at them, so it was best to be as prepared as possible.
"I guess you have a point."said Luz as Batman handed her some smoke grenades.
"In case things go wrong, I want you to retreat as soon as possible. I'll save Eda if it comes down to it, there's no need for Eda's sacrifice to be in vain."said Batman, as Luz put the smoke bombs in her pocket.
"Now let's go, I've already come up with a makeshift plan and I'll give you the details on the way."said Batman as Luz, King, and himself made their way out of the house.
[Emperor Belos's Castle]
"A farts, I got caught."said Eda who came back to her senses after Belos blasted her with some of his magic with his staff.
"Edalyn Clawthorne, the Owl Lady, the Wild Witch of Bonesborough. Teacher of Luz the human."said Belos as he approached Eda.
"You stay away from her or so help me, Titan."said Eda, promising retribution if anything was to happen to Luz.
"The human is safe, Daddy is watching over her right now after all. But I must say I'm surprised that that bloodline still exists as I was sure it ended long ago."said Belos, confusing Eda.
"Daddy? Who's? Luz's?! Wait that guy covered head to toe in black armor is her Dad!"said Eda, as that was the last thing she would have expected of hearing about the Batman.
"Another time perhaps. I'm more interested in the door that allowed her to come here."said Belos, wanting the portal door that Luz from the human world.
"Tough, cuz I ain't telling you nothing."said Eda, knowing full well that even if she did tell anything to the emperor, that there was no way he was ever going to let her or Luz go!
"Ugh, pity. Although I suppose I could ask the human herself. Her father may prove to be troublesome, but it's nothing I can't handle."said Belos as he snapped his fingers at several of his coven guards began taking Eda away.
"Wait! Don't touch her... Lilith, don't let him hurt her, Lilith!"said Eda as she was taken out of the throne room.
"Uh, taking her to the healing ceremony?"asked Lilith with hesitation.
"I will not be healing her."coldly responded the Emperor.
"But you promised me..."responded Lilith, as that's the reason why she joined the Emperor's coven in the first place.
"Don't be so naive, Lilith. This is the Titan's will. All wild witches must be dealt with before the day of unity. And now I must deal with that cursed bloodline as well... I'm honestly not surprised as that bloodline is extremely stubborn to die, especially that man I met so long ago."said Belos as he got close to Lilith.
"You understand, don't you? This is the will of the Titan, and the Titan's will must be done."
"Of course."responded Lilith with a somber look.
"Good, oh and one more thing. Destroy the Owl Lady's staff. She won't be needing it anymore."said Belos as he made Owlbert appear in Lilith's hands, before walking away to another part of the castle.
Meanwhile in Bonesborough Batman and Luz were sneaking through the streets as they made their way to the emperor's castle before over hearing a news report, where Kikimora told the Boiling Isles that, for the crimes of attacking a coven leader and refusing to join a coven, Eda would be petrified in stone!
And that it would commence at sundown, at the conformatorium!
"Willow, are you watching!"said Gus, who heard the news report, before calling Willow on his scroll.
"Yes, we have to do something."saud Willow, as Luz would be devastated if Eda was petrified in stone.
Luz on the other hand was devastated upon hearing the news.
"Please tell me that's not as bad as it sounds."
"Petrifaction is only done to the worst criminals. Ad once the spell is complete, it can't be reversed."said King as Lilith appeared on the crystal balls showing the news.
"Lilith, she cursed Eda. She captured her own sister. She is the worst. If I ever see her again..."said Luz as she picked up a crystal ball and smashed it!
"Calm down Luz, we have to think about saving Eda first."said Batman, as Luz need to control her temper and get her priorities in check.
"You're right. But how are we going to get to the conformatorium in time?"asked Luz, wondering how they were going to get to the prison in time.
"I suggest we split up. I was sneak into the conformatorium, you two figure out your own way."said Batman,as striking from two sides was the most effective way to infiltrate.
"Yeah, but how are we... and he's gone."said Luz as Batman did his usual disappearing trick.
"Wha? But he was literally here two seconds ago! How did he do that?!"asked King, wondering if Batman would ever show him that trick one day.
"Question for another day, King. For now we need to figure out a way to get into the conformatorium."said Luz as King noticed that a coven guard was on patrol.
"We'll have to do something so diabolical. So criminally insane, that they'll have to send us to the conformatorium."said King as he came up with a perfect idea.
"Hey!"said Luz, getting the coven guards attention.
...For him to see both she and King stepping on grass with a sign that says do not step on the grass...?
And liked planned the coven guard freaked out as he arrested Luz and King, before placing them the back of wagon that will take him to the conformatorium.
"Yup, perfect plan."said Luz as she and King were taken to the conformatorium.
"Kids these days."said the coming guard before someone tapped on his shoulder.
He turned around only to see a knuckle sandwich courtesy of Batman! As the guard fell to the floor out cold, Batman commenced his plan to infiltrate the conformatorium!

As Luz and King were being led into the conformatorium, they saw a bunch of stone statues of criminals that were petrified. As Luz looked around, she gassed upon seeing two coven guards lay a stone where they plan to put Eda on, once she was petrified.
"There's not going to be a new statue going up today. Right Luz? Luz?"asked King as Luz didn't respond to his question as she was focused on something else.
And that was a poster of Lilith! Luz grunted upon seeing the poster, as Lilith wasn't her favorite person at that moment.
"Sir, the Owl Lady's human student has been apprehended."said the "coven guard" as Warden Wrath approached the wagon.
"Very good. Ah, Luz the human. How I've waited to see you again. Now I'll have my revenge, and you will have front row seats to Eda's demise."said Warden Wrath, before the coven guard who brought loose in approached him.
"What do you...!"said Warden Wrath before he was struck in the face by the "coven guard"
"What has gotten into you!"said the warden as Batman threw off his disguise.
The coven guard who was accompanying the Warden tried to attack Batman from behind, but Luz popped out of the wagon screaming as she let out an ice glyph, trapping the guard to the ceiling as his cape was pin to the spike of ice!
Warden Wrath meanwhile tried to attack Batman but he threw a freeze grenade near his feet, quickly trapping the warden's whole body minus his head and ice!
"Don't bother struggling, as that ice was designed to hold someone more slippery than you."said Batman as as he, Luz, and King approached Warden Wrath.
"Where's Eda?"asked Luz.
"I'll never tell you!"said the Warden as Batman grabbed him by his throat and began choking him, in order to make him more cooperative.
"... She's... in the holding cell... in the dungeon."said Warden Wrath, as he was honestly intimidated by the armored man in front of him.
"Draw us a map!"ordered Luz as Batman choked the Warden tighter to make him comply!
Meanwhile outside in the courtyard the preparations for the petrification were beginning as many of the citizens were wondering if Eda deserved petrification in the first place.
"If we know anything about Luz, she's going to be here trying to save Eda."said Willow as she and Gus arrived at the front row of the petrification stage.
"And we'll be here to save her when she needs us."said Gus, as knowing Luz she didn't plan things out, meaning they would have to step in to save her if the time came for it.
"Let's split up and find her."said Willow, as she ain't got split up to find Luz.
"Fool! You let the human escape! And you drew her a map!"said Kikimora as she was scolding Warden Wrath.
"I'm sorry, her black armored companion was very persuasive."said the Warden in his defense, as he was still feeling Batman's strong hands around his neck.
"Worry not, Kikimora. I shall capture the human."said Lilith, as she overheard everything and decided to step in.
Meanwhile multiple Coven guards were incapacitated by Luz and Batman. Many were surrounded by fire, while others were wrapped around in vines or frozen in a block of ice. Some were just out cold, with obvious signs that they were the victims of extreme violence based on the bruises on their faces.
Soon Batman and Luz arrived at the dungeon door.
"King, watch the door."saud Luz as Batman started placing explosive gel on the door.
As soon as he finished he motioned for everyone to get back as he activated the explosive jail, causing the door to explode in a minimal capacity, completely shattering it to pieces, but not causing a huge enough explosion to get everyone's attention.
"Wow, I wonder what that explosive gel is made of."said King, as Luz and Batman stepped over the shattered door.
Batman activated his night vision as Luz used a light glyph to look around, before noticing Eda tied up nearby.
"Eda!"said Luz and she went towards her teacher with Batman close behind her.
Eda turned around and was revealed to be and I will be storm as she quickly knocked Luz to the ground, Batman gone in between them as she was about to swipe her claw when Luz called out to her.
"Eda, wait! It's me! It's me."saud Luz, as Eda managed to regain her senses.
"Luz?! Oh no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What are you doing here? Why did you bring her here?"asked Eda as Batman just remained silent.
"Eda, it's okay I came here on my own free will. I came to save you."said Luz as Batman planed explosive gel around her chain, before activating it and exploding the chain, but there wasn't even a scratch.
"Your explosives aren't enough for this. You two need to leave, now."said Eda, as at any moment her escort to the petrification stage could arrive.
"But...but i can't. It's my fault you needed to save me. "said Luz as she placed an ice glyph on the chain, hoping that magic would make the chain break, but it wasn't working.
"No, listen to me. I'm here because of my own actions. I went against Belos's law and for a while, I was able to get away with it. But, well, without magic, I can't do much. I don't regret anything, I lived freely, and I got to meet you."said Eda, as she has already accepted her fate.
"Eda.. "said Luz as Eda stroked her face.
"But if you stay here, I won't be able to protect you. That guy next to you is your best chance of staying alive. He'll protect you no matter what. Now you need to leave. Now!"said Eda as Luz grabbed your hand.
"But we're a family. Us weirdos have to stick together, remember?"said Luz with her voice shaking.
Eda didn't say anything as she pulled out the portal key from her hair and activated it, causing the door connecting the human world and the Boiling Isles to appear.
"You have a family already, you two need to go back to them."said Eda, as the portal door opened and the human world could be seen from the other side.
"And you."said Eda as she got Batman's attention.
"I don't know the circumstances that brought you here, and why Luz doesn't know about you. But you have a duty to protect her with every ounce of strength in your body. Make sure she makes it back home, and when you do. Talk to her, as Luz will definitely have a lot of questions about you."said Eda, as Batman guessed that she already knew that he was Luz's father.
"And Luz, when you're home use your fire magic to destroy the portal door. I don't know why Belos wants it, but we can't take any chances."said Eda as she placed the portal key around Luz's neck, as tears began to form on Luz's face.
Luz immediately went over and hugged Eda.
"I love you, Eda."
"I love you, too, Kiddo." said Eda as an alarm started blaring.
Luz, get away!"said Eda as her chain became a cage, and soon the floor that was underneath her turned out to be a platform, that started rising!
"No!"said Luz and Batman held her back.
"We need to respect her wishes."said Batman, as Luz's safety was his number one priority.
"Not yet!"said Luz, who didn't want to say goodbye so soon.
"I'm sorry. Goodbye Luz"said Eda, as the platform was making its way to the petrification stage.
"Eda!"said Luz as Eda disappeared from the sight, and she began crying.
Batman held her and comforted her as Lilith walked into the room, with King being held in her right hand, by his collar.
"I'm too late."said Lilith as Batman glared daggers at her, while he held Luz in a more protective manner.
"At least I found you, human."said Lilith as both Batman and Luz stood up.
"You...you hurt Eda. You put her in chains. And now, I will take you down!"said Luz as she pulled out a bunch of glyphs and the Nth metal brass knuckles Batman gave her.
Luz immediately charged towards Lilith and through several glyphs at her, forcing Lilith to create a field to protect herself.
"I just want to talk."said Lilith, as Batman heard this and decided to hear her out.
"Talk to the glyph, witch!"said Luz, not willing to listen to whatever Lilith had to say.
Luz immediately pressed several plant glyphs to the ground, creating massive vines that surrounded Lilith before Lilith immediately destroyed them. Luz then jumped on Lilith and started pulling her hair.
"Stop! What is wrong with you!"said Lilith, as she and Luz went through the portal door.
"Luz!"said Batman and King at the same time as they went through the portal door after her.
Luz immediately stood up as she noticed that she was back in the human world as Lilith conjured up magic with her hands.
"Luz, watch out!"yelled King, before he was wrapped around by vines.
Lilith immediately fired several blast of magic at Luz. Luz rolled around to avoid it and pulled out a fire glyph to fight back, but to her her surprise the glyph immediately disintegrated.
"What?"
"Enough!"said Batman as he stood between Luz and Lilith.
"Fighting won't get us anywhere. Luz, hear out what she has to say."said Batman, as now was the time to talk.
"No way! She deserves to be petrified, not Eda."said Luz, as all of this was Lilith's fault.
"...Your right. I deserve to be in Edalyn's place."said Lilith, who felt like the lowest witch in the whole Boiling Isles.
"Then why did you do all this?"asked Luz, as she wondered why Lilith did all of this in the first place.
"When Edalyn and I were younger, we were best of friends"said Lilith and she began to explain the story on her and Eda's past.
She explained how being in the Emperor's coven was always her dream. How she wanted to work with the most powerful witch on the Isles to make the world a better place. Eda wanted to join her on her dream, but there was a problem. Only one spot was available for the Emperor's coven!
The two of them would fight the next day to see who would join the ranks of the coven. Lilith new Eda would beat her, as although she was younger she worked twice as hard. That night she found a spell that would take her powers away at the night market. Blinded my anger, jealousy, and the needs to succeed Lilith cursed her sister that night. Lilith thought that the curse would only last a day, but she was wrong...
The next day Eda refuse to fight Lilith, declaring that she wouldn't join a coven in that the spot should go to Lilith. But as Eda began to walk away, she transformed into the Owl Beast, causing the crowd to treat her like she was a freak, forcing her to run away. Lilith got what she wanted, she made her sacrifice. Now it was time to collect her reward!
"I've been pursuing Edalyn because if she joined the Emperor's coven. Emperor Belos told me he would heal her curse."
"But he ended up not holding his end of the deal."said Batman, as he could see where the story was going.
"Yes, he lied to me. I know how to rescue Edalyn. But I can't do it alone."said Lilith, as she knew she couldn't do it alone.
"He lies to you, and he still expected you to to serve him. I don't know if it's arrogance or did he truly believe you would continue to serve him even after he didn't give you what you wanted."said Batman, as Belos sounded like someone who always believed he was right and that nothing would ever go against him.
That was his greatest weakness in Batman's opinion.
"How do we know we can trust you?"asked Luz, as Lilith has given them no reason to trust her.
Lilith and response created a magic circle and quickly brought out Owlbert.
"Owlbert, you're okay."said Luz, relieved to see that the palisman was alive and well.
Owlbert woke up and nuzzled against Luz.
"Alright Lilith, I don't like your whole deal. But we need your help to save Eda."said Luz, as Lilith was the only chance they had it saving Eda.
"Thank you, now let's go."said Lilith that she released King from the magic vines as Luz looked back, in the direction where her house was.
"I could go in your place."said Batman, as Luz didn't need to put herself in anymore unnecessary danger.
"No, I need to do this. It's the least I can do after everything Eda is done for me."said Luz as she and Batman walk back to the door, and step through the portal before it closed once more.

Meanwhile Eda was put on stage with everyone watching, as Willow and Gus wondered where Luz was as they didn't see her anywhere, and began wondering if she got caught.
Kikimora on the other hand made her way to a series of levers before pulling one that revealed a giant stone statue with what looked like several giant electrical green light bulbs attached to it.
Meanwhile Lilith, King, Batman, and Luz were making their way through a dark hallway.
"You and take this up to the stage where they're holding Edalyn."
"Thank you, Lilith. What will you do now?"asked Luz, wondering what Lilith's next move was.
"I will stay in the Emperor's coven, but I will make sure nothing like this ever happens again."said Lilith, planning to be her sister's eyes and ears on the inside to protect her.
"That's good to hear."said Luz with a smile.
"Something is not right. Why are there not any guards around here?"asked Batman, as surely the spot that led to the stage would be well guarded.
The others began to realize the same thing as they began to look around, but before they could ponder on this anymore Lilith was grabbed by a red tentacle and dragged away.
"Lilith!"said Luz as a red tentacle grabbed King!
Soon both King and Lilith were hanging by the red tentacle has two flames appeared from where they were being held, revealing Belos having been there the whole time, sitting on a throne.
"Ah, Lilith, you chose the wrong side."said Belos as the tentacles begin to take Lilith and King away.
"No!"said Luz, before tentacles wrapped around her feet.
Some tentacles tried to wrap around Batman's feet, but he quickly tossed to freeze grenades on them, freezing them instantly as he approached the emperor!
"Up-pup-pup! I'd actually like to have a word with you two, humans."said Belos as King and Lilith were thrown into the cage with Eda to be petrified.
"Hello Edalyn."said Lilith as Eda glared at her.
"Lilith. You hurt Luz, you cursed me. Before anything turns me to stone, I'll tear you apart."said Eda, as she prepared to strike her sister, before King got in the way.
"No, don't! She was trying to help. She even betrayed the Emperor for you."said King, surprising Eda.
"What?"said Eda with shock.
"If I knew something like this would happen, Edalyn, I... "said Lilith before she was interrupted by the sound of the petrification machine.
Upon seeing what was about to happen, Gus and Willow riled the masses, getting them to all demand to let Eda go!
Meanwhile back in the makeshift throne room, Luz and Batman were staring down Emperor Belos.
"Let my friends go, or else..."said Luz as she charged towards Belos!
Luz immediately stabbed Owlbert into the ground, creating a wall of ice to head towards Belos, before it stopped right in front of his face.
"Okay..."said Belos before he disappeared by turning into what look like sludge.
Before Luz could know what was going on, the Emperor immediately appeared behind her!
"I'll play!"said Belos as he used his magic to toss Luz to a nearby wall!
"But I prefer to play with a more worthy opponent."said Belos as he turned his attention to Batman.
Soon Belos cast multiple magic spells, as tentacles and rocks started heading towards Batman, but he immediately threw a smoke bomb. Belos cleared the smoke with his magic but Batman was no longer around before he struck bellows from behind, causing his mask to crack!
"...Urrr...Nth metal gauntlets... impressive, but not enough!"said Belos as he fired a blast of fire magic at Batman.
Batman immediately threw several ice grenade batarangs at the fireball, causing it to go out as he charged at Belos. Belos immediately summoned some kind of worm like creature to swallow him as protection as said worm monster tried to swallow Batman! But Batman quickly activated his explosive gel, causing the worm-like creature to explode as he fell to his feet, panting.
"What's wrong human, I thought you came here to fight."said Belos as he began moving around through the shadows.
Soon several tentacles wrapped around Batman's feet as Batman had his eyes closed, as Belos approached him from behind with his magic staff.
Batman immediately formed two fingers and struck Belos on a pressure point, sending him back as the Emperor grunted from the attack!
"Impressive, it's clear you're a warrior of high caliber, but..."said Belos as Batman's mask broke in two before falling to the ground, exposing his face.
"Bruce Wayne..."said Luz, not expecting famous playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne to be the Batman's secret identity.
"Wayne, just as I suspected. Your face is similar to his. In fact you look so much like him that it infuriates me. I was so sure that the Wayne bloodline died out long ago, but now father and daughter stand before me."said Belos, with a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Father?"said a confused Luz.
"Why human, did you not realize that this man before you is your father. I could tell right away the moment I saw you. His blood is flowing through yours, Wayne blood. Now how about you to surrender, I'm sure you both have had enough."said Belos as Bruce Wayne punched him on his mask, causing the crack to get bigger.
"Hehehe, I like your spirit. But try that again and things won't end well for you, especially for your precious daughter."said Belos as Bruce Wayne gritted his teeth as more red tentacles started to wrap around his body, holding him in place!
Luz meanwhile was stunned by the realization that Batman and her father are one in the same person! And not only that, her father was actually famous billionaire Bruce Wayne. To say it was a lot to take in was an understatement.
"Now I'm just a humble messenger for the Titan. In the grand scheme of things, the Owl Lady's life is inconsequential. But then you two showed up. If you want to save your mentor, give me the portal to the human realm."
"But, my home..."said Luz as she could hear the petrification beam strike her friends.
Eda's cries could be heard as Bruce Wayne was thinking of a way to get his daughter out of this.
"You probably think we want to invade the human realm, but the Titan's will is not so borish. You'll understand soon. Tick-tock, humans, the Owl Lady doesn't have much time left."said Belos, as he knew Eda could only resist the petrification beam for so long.
"No! Fine!"said Luz as she activated the portal key, bringing the portal door to the human world.
"Luz, No!"said Bruce, not trusting a single word that was coming out Belos's mouth.
"Batman...Mr Wayne...Dad, I honestly don't know what to call you at this point. Trust me, I know what I'm doing... lo siento, mama."said Luz as she handed the door and it's suitcase form over to Belos.
"Here, its yours."said Luz with much reluctance.
"The Titan will be pleased."said Belos as he took the portal door.
"Go on then, you two."said Belos as Bruce and Luz were placed on a platform that started rising to the petrification stage.
"Go be a hero."said Belos in a mocking voice.
"I may have lost, but so have you."said Luz as she activated several fire glyphs she placed on the portal door when Belos wasn't looking, damaging the portal door!
Bruce and Luz glared that Belos, as they disappeared from the Emperor's sight as he glared at them from below!
"You Wayne's always find a way to annoy me."said Belos as Bruce placed his hand on Luz's shoulder.
"I... I owe you an explanation."said Bruce as Luz deserves that much at least.
"We'll talk when we're safe. For now lets get Eda and the others, and just get out of here."said Luz as she hugged her father, to which he responded by hugging her back with one of his arms.
Soon they arrived at the petrification stage as Eda was turning to stone. Luz threw some plant glyphs with Batman as he threw several batarangs at the petrification device, disabling it as the batarangs destroyed the light bulbs and the vines wrapped around the device, causing it to power down.
Eda's petrification stopped just in time.
"What do we do?"asked King, as most of Eda's body was still stone.
"The spell wasn't completed. Maybe I can help her fight it."said Lilith as she focused her magic into her sister.
"No, what is happening?!"asked Kikimora, as nothing was going according to plan.
"Free them, now!"ordered Luz as she and Batman appeared behind Kikimora.
Kikimora quickly did that she was told and deactivated the cage.
"Eda, are you okay?"asked Luz as the petrification was reversing.
"As good as I'll ever be."said Eda as Coven guards started surrounding them.
"Let's get out of here!"said Batman as he pressed a button on his utility belt.
Within seconds the batmobile, in batwing form appeared in fired several energy blasts at the coven guards, forcing them to flee!
"Grab on!"said Bruce as everyone grabbed onto the batmobile as it swooped down and immediately it started flying far away from the conformatorium.
Belos meanwhile walked on the stage, before he got everyone's attention and began to speak.
"Children of the Isles, the Titan has told me to spare the Owl Lady's life, but in return, her curse will strip away all her powers. Let her monstrous form be a lesson about the dangers of wild magic"said Belos, lying to the populace to save face.
Meanwhile the batmobile managed to land near the Owl House, but it had a rough landing as it took a bit of damage as a collided with the ground. Eda looked like she was about to faint before she collapsed on the ground next to the batmobile.
"Don't worry, Eda. I'll run in and get you some elixir and.."said Luz before Lilith stopped her.
"No, human. No I'm out of elixir can heal her now. Oh, sister."said Lilith, as she grabbed Eda's face gently.
"I should have done this a long time ago. With this spell declared, let the pain be shared."said Lilith as she casted a spell that would put part of the curse on herself, allowing Eda go return to her humanoid form, but in exchange for both of their magical powers.
Soon both sisters return to normal with the only obvious difference being that one of their eyes is now grey.
"Eda!"said Luz, as she ran over and hugged Eda.
"Can you still do magic?"asked Luz, as Eda decided to check.
Eda tried to cast the magic spell but it quickly dissipated.
"That's a no. It'll take some time to get used to this."said Eda, feeling like she is now weaker than she was before.
"I feel that I've been weakened as well."said Lilith, as most of her her magical power was drained when she decided to willingly share the curse with her sister.
"It's okay, I can teach you what I know, and what we don't know we can learn together."said Luz as she handed Eda a glyph.
Eda tapped on the glyph and soon a light appeared.
"Thanks, kid. I'll look forward to that."said Eda as Bruce began to walk away.
"Where do you think you're going?"said King, getting Bruce's attention.
"Huh?"said Bruce, as he was honestly confused.
"It feels weird calling you this but I think I'll get used to it. Dad, I want you to stay with us, besides we have a lot of catching up to do, about fourteen years worth."said Luz as she ran over to her father and grabbed his hand.
"Are you sure?"asked Bruce, wondering if it was really okay.
"Hey, you're her father, and it's clear you have a lot of explaining to do. So why don't you come inside as you and Luz have some catching up to do."said Eda as Luz started pulling him to the Owl House.
"I guess I don't have any choice then."said Bruce says he followed the residents inside.
Later Luz pulled out her recorder, to record her latest entry on her time on the Boiling Isles.
"And that's how we escaped from the emperor. Everyone told me he was the most powerful witch alive. But look at this Mom, I chipped off a piece of his mask, with help from dad of course. Yeah, mom, I learned that famous billionaire Bruce Wayne is my father, and that he's also Batman. It feels weird calling him Dad, as he hasn't been there for most of my life, in fact up until now he hasn't been there at all. But I'm sure you and him had your reasons, for now I'm going to try to get to know him. Dad come over here and say hi."said Luz has she grabbed her father's hand and pulled him to the camera.
"Well Camila, looks like Luz discovered my identity. It will be a long road for both of us, as we have a lot of catching up to do. But I promise to keep her safe with every ounce of strength in my mind and body."said Bruce as Luz hugged him.
"Oh, dad, what did Mom ever see in you? But yeah Mom, now we know that the emperor is not invincible. it's a strange feeling having gone through so much and not having you here to share it with. And I don't know when or how I'm going to see you again. But I will find my way home to you, and in the meantime, Dad can keep me company, and although you didn't act like it I know you still love him. Don't worry, we'll both find a way to get back to you in see where we go from there."said Luz as she hugged her father tightly.
Soon Bruce sat on the floor as Luz sat on his lap.
"So why don't you tell me how you and Mom met? And everything you've been doing. I'll do the same, deal."said Luz with a smile.
"Deal. Well I suppose it all began on that cold night in Gotham City..."said Bruce as Eda, Lilith, and King watched on before deciding to leave father and daughter alone for some catching up time.
Meanwhile underneath his castle Belos was overseeing something.
"Sire, those miscreants are still at large. Please, allow me to capture them."said Kikimora, as she approached Belos.
"Worry not Kiki. We'll be keeping an eye on the inhabitants of the Owl House."said Belos as he looked over at a man covered in golden armor.
The man nodded his head before walking away.
"In the meantime the day of unity is almost upon us, and we have much work to do."said Belos as he was overseeing a bunch of workers building a new portal to the human realm with parts of the old portal door.
"Most impressive, Emperor Belos."said Fox, as he, Vulture, Shark, Judomaster, Bane, Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, Firefly, and Joker walked towards him.
"How did you get in here, guards!"said Kikimora, before noticing that the guards were... incapacitated...badly
"How we got in here is not the question you should be asking. The question you should be asking is how our employer can help you, Emperor Belos."said Fox as he pulled out what looked like a technical looking mirror.
Kikimora was about to cast her magic when Belos motion for her to stop, which she did upon his order.
Soon a figure covered in shadow appeared in the mirror, but no details could be seen.
"Emperor Belos, you and me share a common enemy that consists of a certain bat. I'd like to talk about a partnership that would benefit both of us."said the mysterious figure as Belos looked on with interest.
"I'm listening."said the Emperor, as his curiosity was peaked.
