Luz was walking through a dark cave with a light glyph allowing her to see when the shuttle some kind of large horned beast appear before her!

"Foolish child. Leave this place before you meet your demise."said the horned beast in a deep intimidating voice.

"Do not underestimate me, Garlog, for I am the good witch Luz, hunter of monsters. Now eat this sucker...what?"said Luz, copying the lines of her favorite female protagonist Azura, before realizing that the horned beast was in fact... a whole lot smaller than it shuttle would suggest.

Garlog try to escape but Luz quickly grabbed him.

"You're Garlog."said Luz as she pulled out Garlog's wanted poster, which looked nothing like the real thing...

"This is pathetic."said Luz, who was expecting something a lot bigger.

"Small I may be, but you will soon know fear when I lay waste to all of you."said Garlog, before he was interrupted when King put him in his mouth.

"King, drop it now. Drop it now! Drop it, no! I'm not going to play right now. King!"said Luz as she began chasing King, in order to get him to let go of Garlog.

Later Luz managed to get King to let go of Garlog, who she then proceeded to put in a bottle to hold prisoner until they could collect the bounty on his head. As she put them down on a table she booped his nose before pulling out her phone so she could do another video log.

"Hola mama, you haven't heard from me in a while. It's been a week and a half since the petrification ceremony. A we can have since I discovered that Batman is also my father Bruce Wayne. A week and I have since I... destroyed the portal home. I had too, Emperor Belos was going to kill Eda if I didn't hand it over. But I couldn't let him use it, so I blew it up with some magic fire. She's not going to understand any of this. That's okay, Luz. Just keep moving forward."said Luz, who decided to start from the beginning.

"This world is filled with inexplicable magical wonders, like this portal key. I don't know if it contains magic, but I'm going to study all I can to find a way back to you.And look, I have friends and to help me."said Luz, revealing that King was holding on to her leg.

"I'm never letting you go! You're never returning to the human realm!"exclaimed King, not wanting Luz to leave him.

"He doesn't mean that."

"Yes, I do!"said King, as Luz picked up her phone to videotape the others.

"This is Eda the Owl Lady, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. Or at least she was, until her curse overpowered her and weakened her magic."said Luz, as Eda tried to pour herself some apple blood with her magic, but the bottle ended up exploding...

"Eda was cursed by her own sister, Lilith. And she spent her entire life looking for a way to undo it. It's still hard for everyone to trust each other but maybe with time we can all become friends."said Luz as Hooty popped out of nowhere and scared Lilith.

"And you already know Dad. You know famous billionaire majority shareholder of Wayne Enterprises/world's greatest detective/ Dark Knight of Gotham Bruce Wayne aka the Batman. It's been a challenge adjusting to our relationship since we literally didn't know about each other for fourteen years. He told me that government agent Amanda Waller did research on him and well she eventually discovered me, and that you and Dad were former lovers. I'm honestly scared with that information as I heard a lot of bad stuff on the internet about this Amanda Waller, and much of it is not pretty. But Dad isn't one of the greatest superheroes of our world for nothing, so I'm sure we'll work something out."said Luz as Batman was busy upgrading his gadgets.

"Luz, you really shouldn't tell people my identity is there's a reason I play the persona of Playboy millionaire."said Batman who is busy fixing up some equipment that got damaged with Belos, specifically his metal cowl.

"We're still working on our father and daughter relationship... it's a challenge for both of us, but we're going to try to do our best."said Luz as she turned the camera back to Eda.

"Even though Eda gets frustrated, she's found new ways to make up for her lost powers."said Luz as Eda forged the harpoon with a net attached to it.

"Check it, Luz. A new hunting weapon. I will call her the stab catcher."said Eda, proud of her invention that she has no idea has existed for hundreds of years in the human world.

"Without the portal, Eda has no human garbage to sell. So we've resorted to working our jobs to keep food on the table. Dad has helped us with some snails that I'm not going to ask him how he acquired, as I'm pretty sure one of those stacks had a tooth in it. But at least we're working something out in the meantime."said Luz as Eda convinced King to put an app on his head, saying that it was a hat.

"Really?"asked King as he put the apple on his head.

"King,no! King!"said Luz as she grabbed King before he could be harpooned!

"This we were bounty hunters. Next week we could be anything. So mom, please don't be scared. I'm growing more and more every day, and I'm going to do my best to become a full-fledged witch and get home to you safe and sound. Plus Dad is teaching me a few self-defense techniques for added support. The quiero Mama, Te lo prometo, regresare a casa pronto."said Luz as she ended the video.

"Luz! Time to bring these bad boys to market."said Eda, as it was time to collect on their bounties.

"Eda, do you own anything that isn't covered in feathers?"asked Lilith as she was dusting some feathers off of herself.

"I had to deal with a curse for thirty years, so I think you can handle a few feathers."said Eda as Bruce put back on his mask and started walking away.

"Dad, where are you going?"asked Luz as Batman just stopped in his tracks.

"Someone paid all those villains to go to Gravesfield. It could be a coincidence but I don't like coincidences. So I'm going to go look for a source who can tell me who is behind this."said Batman as he activated the jetpack feature of the wingsuit he was wearing and took off.

"I still can't believe tall, dark, a mysterious is your father. Man is convinced someone got a whole bunch of crazies from your world to go look for you."said Eda, although she pondered if he was right.

"But who exactly could have United all those crazy villains in his files together? From what I read they couldn't be any more different than oil and water, meaning there's no way they would ever work together."said Lilith, who read the file on the rogues gallery that was currently on the Boiling Isles.

"I don't know Lilith, my father has a point as I don't think it's a coincidence that all those villains were in my hometown."said Luz, wondering what the heck was going on as it felt like someone was pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

"Well, since he's the greatest detective of your world let's let him hand away, and as soon as he gets a lead we'll join in and help."said Eda as she and the others got on the card and began making their way to the market to get some snails.

[Emperor Belos's Castle]

Fox and the others were in the room the emperor provided for them, making plans of their own as Kikimora and the one known as the Golden Guard approached them.

"So, why exactly are you here?"asked Kikimora with a clear arrogant attitude.

"This creature is puny and arrogant."said Bane, not liking the tone and Kikimora's attitude.

"Ignore her, Bane. Our employer specifically ordered us to find the Boiling Isles and cuddle up to the powers that be until the next phase."said Fox, as Bane backed off, although he clearly wasn't happy about it.

"So this employer of yours? Who exactly if he? She? I'm just guessing at this point."inquired the Golden Guard, wondering who exactly employed all these strange characters.

"I'm afraid that our employer wishes to stay anonymous for now. But fret not, you'll all meet him soon."said Fox, as he was the only one who knew their employer's secret identity for security reasons.

"You, know... it's a little hard to trust you when you don't even tell us who you're working for."said Kikimora as a sword was thrown to the wall near her with great force, causing her to yelp with fear as she backed away from the sword.

"Your boss has already agreed to work with our employer. So I suggest you stop asking unnecessary questions before our forces are forced to fight each other and inevitably end up causing unnecessary destruction and mutually assured destruction."said Vulture as several foot soldiers of the Shadow Clan surrounded Kikimora and the Golden Guard.

"So, why are you guys sitting around?"asked the Golden Guard, wondering what exactly Fox and his cohorts were up to.

"We joined the Shadow Clan, child. Meaning me, Vulture, and Shark can only exist at night. We are staying here as we have to make preparations for our next move. Batman is an opponent that should never be underestimated, and we must prepare ourselves for we never know when he will play his hand. Besides, our employer told us to stay in reserve and make preparations for his arrival."said Fox, as the Golden Guard and Kikimora were escorted out of the room.

All the while wondering who exactly this mysterious employer was, and how they were even going to get to the Boiling Isles.

"Well, that was a waste of time. I have better things to do so I'll be going now, bye."said the Golden Guard as he gone on his staff and flew away.

A short while later Luz had signed up for a Selkidomus hunt as she felt like there currently predicament was her fault and that you needed to bring in snails so they could have food on the table! After all with Eda no longer able to access her full magical power, they were getting ripped off left and right.

Meaning they would have to do a big job in order to have income for a while.

"The Selkidomus hunt, I want in."said Luz as she was speaking to the ship captain in charge of the hunt.

"You think you can handle this, squirt?"asked the ship captain.

"I can handle anything."responded Luz as she was given some ship wear while the Golden Guard watched from the sidelines as he closed the window that had the Emperor's coat of arms engraved on it.

Meanwhile back at the Owl House, Lilith was wallowing in self-pity about all the poor choices she made as at one point she was one of the most well respected witches on the Boiling Isles, and now she had nothing...now all she could do was try to do something that would make her useful...and she knew just what to do.

Lilith knew exactly what to do as soon as she saw a book on potions.

"Edalyn Clawthorne with a talent for potions. Oohh... I bet she would love a peek inside the castle."

"New roommate check-in!"exclaimed Hooty as he came out of nowhere, surprising Lilith so much that she fell to the floor.

"How's my bestie doing? A scrying potion? Lulu, you're trying to spy on your old buddies? I can help. We can you find out their crushes. We can give them cute couple names."said Hooty as he was getting uncomfortably close to Lilith.

Suddenly the back door open to reveal Batman entering the house with clear signs he had been in an altercation based on the bruise on his cheek and the blood coming out of his nose.

"I'm guessing you're not having a good day either Mr Wayne, Batman, honestly at this point I don't know what to call you."said Lilith, as she was moving Hooty out of her personal space.

"I went to see a snitch. He wasn't of any help and tried to collect a bounty that the emperor placed on my head."said Batman as he revealed the wanted poster of himself.

"Wow, you're almost as wanted as Eda."said Hooty as he looked over the wanted poster.

"Hah... I still don't know who sent all those criminals to Gavesfield. Whoever did so has a vast amount of wealth to have been able to convince high paying mercenaries like Firefly and Judomaster to team up. I have several theories as who's behind this but I still don't have any leads."said Batman to himself as he went over to makeshift bulletin board and placed the wanted poster on it with bulletin pin.

"Well he's clearly in his own world."said Lilith said she stood up.

"I'm going out and don't follow me."said Lilith, referring to Hooty.

"And don't call me Lulu!"said Likith as she hated that nickname, and before Hooty could say anything, she had already walked away.

"A good friend would respect her wishes, but a better friend would help her no matter what."said Hooty to himself as he decided to go after Lilith.

"I managed to "convince"that snitch to tell me that Fox and some of the other rogues decided to join up with the Emperor, most likely under orders of their secret employer. But Firefly and Killer Croc didn't join up enough currently going underground. I couldn't get much information out of Firefly the first time so I should probably order ties on him. Croc it's just an animal and most likely won't give me any valuable information."said Batman as he was trying to connect the dots, wondering who could be behind all of this.

It would have to be someone charismatic to be able to convince these criminals from different backgrounds who usually hate each other to work together. They would have also needed a large amount of income to hire mercenaries to break those criminals out of Arkham and Blackgates.

He had a feeling on who this was but he still needed more evidence in order to confirm his theory. As he already had a list of who the secret employer could be, but he needs more evidence in order to make an effective plan to counteract them!

"By the way, where's Luz?"Batman asked himself as he noticed that his daughter wasn't anywhere in the house.

"I've never been a parrot in my life, and suddenly I'm finding out I have a child with a woman who left me after I wouldn't give up the cape. Camila had every right to, I know that, but still... it's hard trying to be a father to a girl who's life you've never been in. I only know Luz from the file Amanda Waller gave me...now I'm stuck in some magical dimension trying to figure out a way to get her back home, well figuring out who hired all those criminals to go to Gavesfield. So many questions and so little clues to the answers. I need to continue my investigation as something tells me that the answer is right in front of me, but is hidden in plain sight."said Batman as he looked over each of the criminals.

What was there connection? Why with a specifically chosen by their mysterious employer? And who is the mysterious employer?

Batman felt like this is going to be his most difficult case yet.

"For now I need to go look for Luz, as I have a feeling that she's already gone in herself into a whole mess of trouble. Luckily that tracker I placed on King is still on him."said Batman as he activated his touch screen on his gauntlet to locate King's tracker.

"What is she doing out at sea?!"asked Batman as he quickly stepped out of the house and activated his jetpack wingsuit in order to get him to his daughter ASAP!

Meanwhile Luz was making her way into the lair of the Selkidomus just lay it in order to get King back from the Golden Guard. Eda was close behind her as she tried to rob the ship Luz was on but failed miserably after Luz ended up getting in the way, and now they were in their current predicament.

"Luz wait, don't hurt the Selkidomus. We can find another way out of this."said Eda, who felt like they can get her way out of this.

"You heard what he said, Eda. If you and King want to be free... then I have to do this alone."said Luz as she began crossing an old ship mast in order to get to the yard or side of the lair.

"What's this "alone" business, you're starting to sound like your father. Don't you remember? Us weirdos need to--."said Eda, before she was interrupted by Luz.

"What, stick together?! Because you stuck with me, you lost your magic, you almost got turned to stone, and now you can't even afford your apple blood cuz you're worried about what I need to eat. And now Dad is stranded here because of my selfish behavior. You two are always worrying about me and doing anything you can to make sure I'm fed. I saw those snails he gave you for Griffin eggs. I know he stole that money from bandits. The Earth needs him Eda and because of his selfish daughter, he's now stuck in this word. I'm honestly a burden for both of you."said Luz as they could hear the Selkidomus growl.

"It's all my fault that all of this happened. That's why I've got to do this alone. I'll make it all up to the both of you, I promise."said Luz as she purposely fell into the lair of the Selkidomus.

Luz landed on the nose of the Beast and ended up getting tossed from its back to a nearby wall, before the Selkidomus inflated and fired several spikes towards Luz, but luckily she used the piece of driftwood in order to block the attack.

"All right, let's do this."said Luz and she picked up her sword and pulled out a lift in order to attack the Selkidomus.

Luz activated an ice glyph to elevate her to a higher position before she jumped and tried to strike the creature with her sword, but Eda intercepted her and managed to get out of the way before she was eating!

"You thinking your life always going to help me or your father?! Well it won't. You helped me find King's crown when you barely knew me. You save me from turning to stone. And you even got me talking to my sister again. Your dad dropped everything in order to come and look for you, and when you needed help he didn't hesitate to be there for you despite the fact he hasn't been there your whole life. And now you two are forming a connection and it honestly makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to see you too act being father and daughter. So, unfortunately for you... I can say for a certain that our lives are pretty great because we have Luz the human in them."said Eda, causing Luz to cheer up with tears of joy.

"Now, your guilt-ridden brain is clouding your judgment. There's got to be a way out of this where no one has to get hurt."saud Eda, before a baby Selkidomus approached them.

"Huh, Eda, do you want to learn your first glyph?"asked Luz as he had an idea.

Meanwhile outside the cave the Golden Guard was still holding King hostage in a bird cage covered by a blanket, waiting for Luz and Eda to come out of the cave with proof that they slayed the Selkidomus.

The Golden Guard was bored and checked on King, who was asleep until the blanket was placed back down. He did this over and over again and King was basically doing the same thing... waking up as soon as the blanket was raised then going back to sleep as soon as it was lowered...

"Your actually weirdly endearing."said the Golden Guard, finding King amusing.

"No, I'm not."said King has the golden guard felt like someone landed behind him.

Only to turn around and see it was Batman.

But before the golden guard could do anything Batman grabbed him by his throat and held him up as high as he could with one hand.

"Where's Luz?!"he asked in his interrogation voice.

"Gah, so you are the guy the Emperor is worried about?! I can see why, as you're honestly very intimidating and this is a really strong grip..."said the Golden Guard as Batman tied in his grip on his throat.

But soon both of them were interrupted when they saw Luz and Eda seemingly kill the Selkidomus.

"Ah, that thing smells awful. Why are you touching it with your hands? Gross"said the Golden Guard, as Batman threw him so he could go see if Luz was okay.

"Your gross, now give back King before Batman puts the hurt on you!"said Luz, as Batman hugged her.

"Actually, he smells pretty bad too and I honestly don't want to fight the guy with Nth metal so, take him"said the Golden Guard as he threw the cage containing King, with Batman managing to catch it with one hand.

"Thank you for your service. You can find your own way home."said the Golden Guard as he began to walk away.

"And try to stay out of trouble. The Emperor is not a merciful man, especially to your bloodline. Bye!"said the Golden Guard as he flew away..

Luz blue a raspberry as Batman grabbed her by her ear.

"Care to explain what you were doing?"asked Batman as he let go of his daughter's ear.

Luz in response led him into the cave where they saw that "Selkidomus" was actually a bunch of plant glyphs combined together thanks to Eda in order to make it look like they killed the Beast.

"My first glyph, did I do good?"asked Eda as she created a light glyph.

"Yeah, you did great."said Luz as the Selkidomus and her baby approached the group.

"Baby...aw!"said Luz as the baby Seikidomus started nuzzling her, to which she responded by hugging the creature.

"She must have destroyed all of these ships in order to protect your infant."said Batman, as there was nothing more dangerous than a mother's wrath.

"Wait, what is that?"asked King, as he was clearly out of the loop as he was asleep most of the time.

"Don't worry, King. Once the mother saw we weren't a threat to her baby, she calmed down."said Eda as she turned to face the mother Selkidomus.

"This area is dangerous. You need to move further into the sea."said Eda, as Belos and his forces would eventually discover the deceit later on, so mother and child needed to move on while they could.

The mother nodded I had an agreement before spitting out what looked like golden vomit?

"Gold? Tuna?"said Luz, not really understanding what she was seeing.

"It's selkigris. Ah, people pay big money for it at the Night Market."said Eda as she started rubbing the selkigris on Luz.

"I'm guessing it's the equivalent of ambergris."said Batman, as he pulled out some disinfectant wipes from his utility belt.

But he had a feeling he was going to need more disinfectant wipes as soon King, Luz, and Eda started rubbing themselves in the silkigris.

"Oh don't think you're getting out of this, Dad."said Luz as she pulled her father into the silkigris.

"Thanks for coming to look for me."said Luz as she hugged her father.

"Always."said Batman as he returned the hug.

King in response through a ball of silkigris at the pair, causing them to laugh as at least for now their money problems were over.
