"Welcome to day three of three of Luz's Magic Boot Camp."said Luz as currently Eda and Lilith were studying glyph magic in order to learn how to use magic again.
Lilith was very impressed with the presentation while Eda appeared to be drawing on her desk.
"Okay, we've covered every glyph I've learned up until now, so today we'll learn something new."said Luz as she pulled the curtain off the chalkboard to show off every glyph she has learned.
"Are we about to encounter on never before seen glyph?"asked Lilith with excitement as she loved to learn.
"Unfortunately, no. These four either came from nature or another witch's spell. I don't know where to find more."said Luz, as the fire, plant, ice, and light glyphs are the only ones she knew.
Eda and Lilith just looked at each other, before Eda decided to ask a question.
"I have a question. Why isn't your Dad here learning all of this with us?"asked Eda, noticing a certain man covered in black armor was nowhere to be seen.
"Dad mastered the glyphs in just a few...hours... apparently he studied something similar in Tibet under someone he calls the Master... In any case, today we're learning how to alter glyphs to do specific things."said Luz as she turned the chalkboard around, yes she has discovered mixing glyphs have different effects.
"Miss teacher! Did I do it right?"asked Lilith as she showed off her work to Luz.
"Yeah, that's really good. Let's see how you're doing, Eda."said Luz, as she noticed that Eda was scribbling, or more like carving into the desk.
"I don't think that's such a good..."said Luz, but before she could finish her sentence either had already activated the mixed glyph.
"Power glyph combo, go!"said Eda as she pressed onto the fire and ice glyph at the same time, resulting in a mini explosion that luckily didn't cause any damage.
"Oh dang. I was hoping for more of an ice blast situation."said Eda, who is expecting something more from that combo.
"I know you're impatient to get your powers back, but try to master the basics before you start experimenting. I mean Dad is showing me the fundamentals of a few martial arts he learned over the years in order for me to defend myself if I don't have access to my glyphs. He also said that the basics were the most important before you can start experimenting."said Luz as she karate chopped and kicked the air.
"Your as boring as Lily, and surprise, surprise your Dad's the same."said Eda, not noticing that Lilith was glaring at her.
"Toot-toot! The Hexside train is a coming! Chugga chugga."said Hooty as he picked up loose to get her to her right on time.
"Uh, okay King and Dad are in charge while I'm gone, bye."said Luz as she was taking away.
"Haha, power!"said King, ready to abuse his new found power.
"Yes! Teacher's gone!"said Eda, who has never had a good history with teachers.
"Ah, Mmm, I wonder what other combos I can try."said Eda, ready to start experimenting on new combos.
"Teacher said we're supposed to master the basics before--"said Lilith before her sister interrupted her.
"Basics are so basic."
"The basics are to make sure you do everything right."said Batman, as he somehow appeared behind Lilith and Eda, scaring them out of their seats.
"Ahhh! Okay seriously, someone needs to put a bell on you whenever you do that."said Eda, who felt like she was going to have a heart attack.
"Agreed sister. I don't understand how he's able to move so quietly and all that armor."said Lilith, wondering how Batman got the drop on them.
"Anyway, before we were rudely interrupted, like I was saying. If we're going have to start thinking outside the box"said Eda, wanting to be the most powerful wild witch in the Boiling Isles again.
"If we want to be powerful again, we have to use glyphs perfectly. And we can only do that through memorization, repetition, and following the rules."said Lilith as she pulled out note cards with the words she just said written on them.
"Well I'm more interested in experimentation, innovation, and, uh, laughing at tools, like you!"said Eda as she began laughing.
"I remember trying that same stunt with my master Wong Fei. He beat me so badly that I couldn't walk right for a week."said Batman, as both Lilith and Eda wondered what kind of teacher he had.
"My point Eda is that you should listen to your sister. Trying to move things too fast can result in disastrous outcomes. When I was training for my mission I was patient and spent ten long years holding my skills."said Batman, who studied under various teachers and learned the value of patience in order to get the results he has achieved as Batman.
"Yeah, and that's one of the many reasons why you don't have much of a relationship with your own daughter."said Eda, as Batman wondered if she was ever going to let that go as Eda continued to laugh before walking away.
Batman then looked down at King, before motioning him to do something.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll deal with it. No one ever said power came with responsibility."
"That is what literally every hero says. Or at least the individual that brought them down the path of being a hero."said Batman, as he wondered how this reckless duo has survived this long.
Meanwhile Luz was at the front doors of Hexside, trying her best to steady her nerves as it's the first day she has been back since the whole incident with the Petrification Ceremony.
"Hoo-kay. First day back after the Petrification Ceremony. Just be chill."said Luz as she entered the school.
Luz walk through the hallway and soon Willow and Gus bought at her, quickly running towards their friend who they were so happy to see was okay.
"Oh my gosh!"said Luz and she ran towards Willow and Gus at the same time and soon all three of them began hugging each other.
"Ah, Luz, you're okay!"said Gus, as Luz noticed that he got taller and that his voice was deeper.
"Whoa, guys. Did I, uh, miss a birthday or something?"asked Luz, referring to Gus.
"Witch puberty."answered Gus.
"I can't thank you guys enough of Helping me and Eda at the Conformatorium."said Luz, as if it wasn't for them causing a distraction she doesn't know what would have happened to herself, Eda, and her father.
"It's cool. I'm still not over the shock that Batman's your dad! And I hope that whole incident finally helps Eda finally remember my name, she keeps calling me goops."said Gus as a passing by student called him goops.
"It's already spreading."
"Wait? How did you know Batman was my father? I literally didn't tell anyone."said Luz, as the only people who should have known are the residents of the Owl House and Emperor Belos.
"King told us."said Willow, as Luz didn't appear surprised as King was not good at keeping secrets.
"Well that explains why he ran off the other day."said Luz, as King loves to gossip as Amity walk towards her.
"In celebration of your return, I prepared a homemade fairy pie."said Amity, as Luz thought it was delicious at first before she noticed that some of the ingredients were still... alive.
"The ingredients are very fresh."said Amity as she handed the fairy pie over to Luz.
"Thank you."said Luz, trying to think of a way of getting rid of the pie without hurting Amity's feelings.
"You know, after everything that's happened. Eda almost getting petrified, meeting my long lost father. I'm just happy to return to some sense of normalcy."said Luz, before principal Bump could be heard arguing with someone on the school intercom.
"You just can't barge in here!"argued principal Bump.
"Yes, we can. We are the Parent Creature Association. Luz Noceda, Willow Park, and Augustus Porter, report to Principal Bump's office now! And you too, Amity."said the voice on the intercom as Amity quickly recognized to it was.
"Mom?"said Amity, wondering what her mother was doing at school?

A short while later the four students were in principal Bump's office, with Amity's parents, Odalia and Alador Blight next to the principal.
"The Abomination situation. The destruction of detention. The rampage of Grom. These are but a few of the incidents that have endangered Hexside's students. Including our daughter."said Odalia with fury, well her husband seemed to be more preoccupied with Bumps Palisman's tail.
Amity just glared at her mother as she knew that the real reason she wanted this meeting was to get rid of Luz and the others as they were "distracting" her from her studies...
"So, the PCA has decided... uh hem!"said Odalia, as she fake coughed to get her husband's attention.
"Oh, right. Um...These three are bad influences and must be executed."said Alador, surprising the student as that was a bit extreme!
"Uh-hem, I mean, expelled."clarified Alador.
"What?"asked Luz, Willow, and Gus at the same time.
Amity was upset before her mother communicated through telepathic communication that a Blight always uphold her end of the deal. Meaning that this was the consequences of her actions for losing focus of her studies and costing their company a lot of money with a failed demonstration last night.
"Sadly, I have no choice in the matter. Luz, Willow, Augustus, effective immediately, you are no longer students of Hexside."said Principal Bump, but Luz immediately protested.
"No! But us, good! Amity! Tell them! "said Luz, but Amity did not stand up to her mother.
"Good. Now, you'll be taking double the classes to make up for lost time. Actually, I'm appalled you're not in class right now. What are you thinking?"asked Odalia, even though she was the one who called Amity to the office in the first place.
"Your right, sorry."said Amity as Odalia snapped her fingers, causing two detention guards to come and get the expelled students out of the school.
"No! Please, no! Wait!"said Luz as Gus and Willow were taking away.
The other detention guard was about to grab Luz with his pole before he felt a large hand grab him by his head. The normally intimidating looking detention guard looked up to see Batman looking at him with a very scary look in his eye.
"Lay one finger on her and I will break every bone in your body. She will leave of her own free will."said Batman, as the detention guard quickly backed off as he was honestly intimidated.
"Dad, please you got to do something!"said Luz as Batman picked up his daughter and started taking her outside.
"This isn't over! Not by a long shot!"said Batman as he shot one last dirty glare at the Blights before walking out of the principal's office with his daughter, who was telling him to let her go, but he didn't listen.
"That is one intimidating man."said Alador, as both his wife and principal Bump nodded their head in agreement.
Amity meanwhile felt like she just made a bad start with her friendship with Luz, and basically betrayed her in front of Luz's own father. Amity really felt low as she looked at her friends one last time before they were taken away.
Meanwhile the expelled students were escorted out of the school with force, other than Luz as she was gently let down.
"Dad! You could have done something!"said Luz as she banged on her father's armor.
"I don't have the same power in this world like I do back on Earth. I'll come up with something to get you back in school, but for now don't do anything reckless."said Batman before he activated his jetpack featur and flew away.
"It finally happened. Our memorable adventures caught up to us. Not even seeing one of my favorite superheroes in person can make me feel better right now, and it doesn't help that he left! Ah, my dad can't find out about this. I guess I'll have to start surviving off the land."said Gus as he tried to lick a leaf to see if it was edible.
But he couldn't go through it as he ran off crying as Willow was hugging a tree for some reason?
"I guess this is goodbye. I'll Water you one last time. With my tears!"said Willow as Luz felt really low as this was all her fault in her opinion as Alador and Odelia walked past her.
"Hey! How dare you mess with my friends lives? What have we ever done to you?"asked Luz, angry at what the Blight parents did to Willow and Gus.
"Luz, was it? Please, this isn't personal. I actually appreciate your tenacity."said Odelia as her husband began chasing some kind of butterfly creature.
"We're just try to teach our daughter available lesson in business."
"How does this teach anything? We're still going to be friends with her. I'm calling applesauce on this business bologna."said Luz, as expelling them from Hexside wouldn't stop them from being friends with their daughter.
"Your human language is hard to understand, but I think I see your point."said Odalia as she crushed the creature her husband was following.
"If you're interested in talking things through, I'm sure we can come to some sort of an agreement."said Odalia as she handed Luz a business card for Blight Industries.
Gus quickly took the card away from Luz and again eating it.
"Come on, Luz, we'll figure out what to do in our own."said Willow, as she didn't trust Amity's mother.
"Yeah! We'll figure out a way to get back into Hexside, or die trying!"said Gus as he spat out the business card.
"No one's dying."
"Not with that attitude."
"Yes, well, when that doesn't work, you know where to find us."said Odalia as she began pushing her husband away as he seemed to be... in space.
Meanwhile Batman returned to the Owl House as Eda was experimenting with a glyph pyramid of cards? She once again failed to create anything meaningful as she just created a mini explosion again as King reminded her that Luz told her to start with the basics, but Eea was too stubborn to listen.
"Urgh. Okay, let's think. Bille sacs have different spell phylegm sloshing around together. So why can't I mix these up too?"asked Eda, wondering what she was doing wrong.
"But those are disgusting liquids. These are symbols from the Isles. Maybe there's a different way to combine them."said King, as Batman once again left the house with a large briefcase.
As he left, he noticed that unlike Eda. Lilith was actually listening to what his daughter said by learning the basics by creating different sculptures out of ice magic, using ice glyphs. She had created a crown for Hooty, two icicle pops, and an ice sculpture of Hooty.
"I bet even Eda couldn't do that! Wow!"said Hooty, upsetting Eda.
Meanwhile Batman could feel that this was going to get bad real soon but he had other business to take care of so he just activated his back wings and flew off to deal with business.
"Maybe if you just learned the basics, like Luz said."said King, but Eda decided once again not to listen and do her own thing.
"I don't have time for basics! I'm on to something, and I'll prove it."said Eda as she cracked her knuckles before once again going to work on her glyphs.
Meanwhile Luz, Willow, and Gus tried various things to get back into Hexside, but Bump reluctantly stopped on each time reluctantly, as he was honestly going to miss them as they brought excitement to his normally boring school life.
"Ah, this is hopeless.Nothing is working!"said Gus, as every idea they have come up with has failed.
"Don't worry, guys. As long as we stick together, we'll think of something."said Luz before two messenger crows appeared before Willow and Gus.
"Oh, no."said Willow as it was revealed that the crow on her head was sent by one of her dads.
Another crow landed on Gus's head, revealing that it was sent by Gus's father, who for some reason was talking in his news voice...?
"This is Perry Porter with breaking news. in light of recent events... Augustus Porter will be grounded for no less than a year."said Gus's father as the crow started taking Gus away, with Gus pleading for Luz to help him.
"Just one? Willow's grounded for three at least."said her dad Gilbert has Willow was dragged away as well.
Willow and Gus pleaded for help as Amity walked by, carrying a hole bunch of books before dropping a few of them, and she was struggling to hold that much work with just two hands.
"I'm uh--I'm sorry. I was coward in there, but my mom--"said Amity who couldn't even finish her sentence.
"Hey, I get it. You're scared of her. But I'm not. And I need you to take me to her. She open to talking things through."said Luz, she wanted to help out Willow and Gus from the situation.
"No. No. Luz, you don't have to do that. Your dad, who am I assuming was the man covered head to toe in black armor said that he was going to do something about this, so you don't have to do anything."said Amity, who knew not to trust anything her mother said.
"Yes, I do. My dad may be able to fix this but I need to clean up my own mess. Willow and Gus don't deserve this. So, will you help me please?"asked Luz as she helped Emily pick up her papers.
"I... I can't... I have to go."said Amity, as she picked up the papers Luz was giving her before heading back to school.
Luz was about to walk away before she stepped on the chewed up business card that Odalia Blight gave her before Gus chewed it up. She turn it around and not only did she see that it had the names of Amity's parents, but also the address of their home.
Meanwhile Eda created what was called a super glyph, and quickly messed up as soon as she activated it as there was unintended consequences and it soon started getting bigger and bigger!
As for Luz, she arrived at the doorstep of the Blight estate. Where she knocked on the door and a Abomination opened the door in response.
"Hello Mrs Blight...Ooh."said Luz upon seeing that it was an Abomination who opened the door.
Luz followed the butler abomination into the house, or more like a mansion as she was amazed by how much space and decor was in the mansion.
"This place smells a lot better than the Owl House."said Luz before turning the Butler Abomination's face into a cat face, but it quickly started drooping.
Luz just left while herself saying she tried as she went downstairs to try to find Amity's parents.
"Hello? Mr and Mrs Blight?"said Luz before an abomination hand hit a nearby wall.
"Oh, don't mind him, dear. He's getting ready for a big demonstration tonight. It's looking good, hon."said Odalia, as Alador was busy at work creating a powerful abomination.
"I'm here to appeal to your hearts, Blights. "said Luz, ready to strike a deal with the Blights in order to get her friends and herself back in school.
"That's sweet. But let's get to the deal. We have a rather important presentation tonight, showing off some new products."
"Like, abominations."said Luz, as that's what Amity's father appeared to be working on.
"Something like that. Normally, Amity helps us with these things, but she's busy catching up on school work."said Odalia, as Luz quickly caught on to what she was saying.
"I get it. I'll help you show off your weird abomination gunk if you promise to let me and my friends back into school."
"Don't worry, human. A Blight always upholds their end of the deal. Now, you might want to go get ready. Because we have a long night ahead of us, folks."said Odalia as Luz was currently standing in front of a large presentation, in front of people covered in hooded robes.
"Welcome back to Blight Industries!"said Odalia as Luz was beginning to wonder if she made the right choice.

"So Alador, what would you say is the specialty of Blight Industries?"asked Luz, wondering exactly what she would be demonstrating.
"We make a variety of abomination based accessories for home security."responded Amity's father, much to Luz's relief
"But we specialize in weaponry. You might want to duck."said Alador as Luz was shot by a large amount of abomination goo, sticking her onto a nearby wall.
"Yes, are sticky launcher can peacefully subdue any foe. And if peaceful is in your thing..."said Odalia as she revealed that the sticky launcher was also a flamethrower...!
Meanwhile back at Blight mansion, Amity was looking for her mother saying that she was ready for the show tonight before finding a note from her mother saying that they found a replacement.
"Did anyone come to the house today?"asked Amity as she turned to face the butler abomination.
Only to notice the cat themed molding of its face, and Amity quickly figure it out it was Luz!
Meanwhile Willow's dads were telling her how they were going to quit their jobs and homeschool her before she tried to sneak off as soon as Gus alerted her that Luz was in trouble... again.
At Blight Industries, neither Amity, Willow, or Gus could agree on want the plan was as Gus wanted to create illusions of pretty lady guards to distract the guards, Willow wanted to use her plant magic to tunnel underneath the building, and Amity just wanted to bust through the front door.
"Here's and idea. Why don't you just walk through the front."said Edric, as he revealed that he and Emira were helping by giving them robes to pass as shareholders for the company.
"Ed, Em, you're helping."said Amity, surprised that her siblings were helping.
"Of course. Just... don't tell Mom."said Emira, as all three of them placed on the robes of the shareholders and made their way to the building, but not before Ed decided to put hex me signs on them.
But Amity quickly figured out what her twin older siblings were up to and threw the signs back at them, before motioning that she was watching them.
Meanwhile inside the demonstration building, Luz was barely avoiding getting blasted by some kind of crossbow from an abomination. She used an ice glyph to intercept an attack, and although she wasn't hit the ice immediately shattered. Luz quickly tried to get up but a large abomination hand appeared out of the floor and grabbed her.
"Thank you, thank you. And they said we couldn't make crossbows more fun. Next, we are very excited to show our last product from this line."said Odia, as so far the demonstration was going well.
"Thank goodness. Only one more to go."said Luz, as her end of the deal was almost done.
"My husband has been toiling away to bring you... the abomaton 2.0!"said Odalia as a large abomination covered in metallic armor appeared on the stage.
Amity realized what this meant and quickly started heading to a nearby catwalk as Willow and Gus were captured by abomination guards.
"It's bigger, it's better. The abamaton 2.0 is the perfect soldier. It won't rest until the enemy is completely eliminated."said Odalia as the abamaton 2.0 formed its hands into weapons and started attacking Luz!
"Okay, it's super strong. I think the crowd gets that."said Luz, as the crowd seems to love what they are seeing.
"She has a point, Odalia."said Alador, as the crowd seems to be satisfied with his work.
"Didn't you hear me? It won't rest until it's enemy is completely eliminated."said Odaia as the abamaton 2.0 picked up Luz and threw her high in the air, before she landed on a nearby pipe.
"Okay, at least it can't get me up here."said Luz, before her second of safety disappeared as soon as the monstrous abomination jumped onto the pipe next to hers.
"Luz, you fool!"said Luz as the abamaton tried to strike her, but Luz used an Ice glyph to protect yourself and she tried to get away.
Luz quickly picked up one of the ice shards that was in the shape of the sword and started defending herself against the abamaton 2.0. She was quickly overpowered as Amity was trying her best to reach her friend. The abamaton 2.0 meanwhile form gets right hand into a morning star and started trying to hit Luz from all sides, with the poor girl barely avoiding getting hit.
Luz managed to activate a plant glyph to swing out of the way before she tried to attack the abomination as she fired a fire glyph while the abomination fired its own flame. This caused both flame attacks to collide with one another, creating a mini explosion as both opponents fell back onto the stage.
Luz was saved by the vine before it snapped into, learning safely on the floor.
"Hey, I'm alive. Oh no."said Luz as the Abamaton 2.0 grabbed her by her leg and used its free hand to form a large scythe!
"I'm dead!"said Luz with fear before Amity used her abomination magic to stop the Abamaton 2.0 in it's tracks.
She then freed Luz as Amity revealed herself.
"Hey, stay away from my Luz!"exclaimed Amity as Luz was surprised to see her.
Amity quickly got in between Luz and the abamaton 2.0! Odalia tried to telepathically tell her daughter that she was in so much trouble, before Amity shattered the crystal that was allowing her to hear her mother's thoughts.
"Luz, are you okay?"asked Amity.
"Uh-huh."responded Luz with a blush on her cheeks.
"Look out!"said Luz as the abamaton 2.0 started to get back up.
Amity quickly created two circles of abomination magic trying to force the cybernetic abomination back!
It was clear she was struggling as the abomination continued pushing her.
"Amity, get away from the human!"ordered her mother.
"No. You're going to listen to me for once. Luz, Willow, and Gus are my friends. They're nice to each other. They listen to each other. They make me think about the kind of person I really want to be!"said Amity as she forced the abamoton 2.0 on its knees.
"What do you want?"asked Odalia as she noticed that the investors were not happy.
"Let my friends back into Hexside or your investors can watch me tear this thing apart bit by bit."
"Can you actually do that?"asked Luz, to which Amity told her to shush.
"Fine, it's a deal. Just stop with the theatrics."said Odalia as Amity let go of the abomination, to which the abamatan 2.0 responded by forming it's left hand into a hammer.
But before the creature could strike them, the creature suddenly felt like thousands of volts of electricity was flowing through it. Odalia, Alador, Luz, and Amity were confused as they noticed that one of the investors was the one behind this.
The abamaton 2.0 turned around and prepared to strike the investor before he snapped his fingers, forcing the machine to stop.
"Can you believe it! The abamaton 2.0 not only is an impressive soldier, but it does everything on command."said the mysterious investor as the other investors started cheering, causing the unit's ordered meter to skyrocket.
"Luz."said Willow as she and Gus ran towards their friend to see if she were okay.
"As if I actually let them go back. I will call every authority I know. I will make sure they--!"
"Odalia."said Alador, getting his wife's attention.
"You made a deal with your daughter, and a Blight always upholds there into the deal."said Alador as motioned his wife to look over to see that Willow and Amity were helping Luz get up.
"Besides, she's getting stronger. Strong enough to become a covenant head one day."
"Wise words, dear. We have to focus on what's best for the family."said Odalia, admitting that her husband had a point.
"Wise words."said the mysterious investor as he threw off his cloak, revealing that it was Batman.
"Dad!"said Luz with shock as she didn't expect her father to be there.
"So cool!"said Gus, as Batman revealed that he was there the whole time.
"Alador, why don't you tell me who's your largest investor."asked Batman as he started approaching the Blights.
"As of an hour ago a man named Matches Malone. I've never heard of him but he now owns fourty percent of Blight Industries."responded Alador, not getting were the conversation was going.
"Hey, Dad. Isn't that one of your aliases...Ooh..."said Luz as she quickly caught on to what was going on.
Amity just smiled as Willow was giggling with excitement as they quickly caught on to what was happening.
Odalia quickly caught on as well as she just realized that she endangered the daughter of her company's biggest investor.
"And not only that I actually have hold on many of the companies that work with Blight Industries. I have large shares in all of them as of a few hours ago, and now Matches Malone is a feared name in the business world of the Boiling Isles. So allow me to be clear to both of you."said Batman as he approached Odalia and Alador, easily towering them as he looked down on them like they were nothing but filth.
"I'm what you would consider a very powerful businessman back on my world, so allow me to be clear in a way that you two understand. If you ever do anything to hurt my daughter again I will use the power I've built up with some of the most major companies here on the Boiling Isles to utterly destroy Blight Industries. I will put you in so much debt that you will have to sell off all of your assets, and even then you will have debt for the rest of your life and be forced to live in the worst slums of the Titan as you work paycheck to paycheck trying to pay back a debt you will never be able to pay!"said Batman, as the Blights were cowering in front of him.
"Luz, your dad is really scary."said Amity, to which Willow and Gus nodded their heads in agreement.
"Yeah, he's the saint to his friends, and a devil to his enemies."said Luz, happy to see that her father was putting the Blight parents in their place.
"I may not be majority shareholder. But the both of you can realize what would happen if forty percent of your stock suddenly became worthless, and a few trade secrets were spilled to your rivals. That would surely cause a chain reaction that would ruin Blight Industries beyond recovery."said Batman, as Odalia and Alador felt like they were in the face of a fearsome demon.
"Alright, I get it! We'll leave your daughter and her friends alone so just calm down, okay."said Odalia, as she couldn't upset her largest shareholder.
"As long as we have an understanding, I'll play nice."said Batman as he walked away with his daughter and her friends following close behind him.

"Just think before you accept the deal with a person like that again."said Batman as he petted his daughter's head as they left the warehouse.
"That is one intimidating man."said Odalia, as she was both afraid and impressed by Luz's father.
It's not every day you can run into a businessman as ruthless and as talented as him.
"He will make a great ally, and our worst enemy if we ever cross him."said Alador before he was distracted by another butterfly creature.
Batman just looked behind him and knew that Luz still had a long way to go as she was still naive into trusting people like Amity's mother, a person clearly never intending to hold their end of the deal in the first place!
It was clear to him that he need to start teaching Luz a few of the many tricks he learned over the years. Otherwise the next time she was put in an overwhelming situation she wouldn't get so lucky.
