It was another day at the Owl House. After Lilith discovered that if you combine glyphs in a specific pattern you can create new spells, Luz has been hard at work trying to come up with new glyphs in order to see if she can create the right spells for different situations
Batman on the other hand was investigating one of his known rogues who has been spotted near the docks. Recently it seems Judomaster has been spotted talking to a ship captain about acquiring a boat.
'Just what does Judomaster want with a boat? Where does he want to go?'Batman thought to himself as he knew that despite appearances and his short stature Judomaster was one of the most formidable opponents he has ever faced.
Judomaster is that the peak of human physical strength and is a skilled martial artist who can make almost everything in his hands a weapon. He once heard that he killed someone with Cheetos? Although Batman isn't sure if that is just a rumor or an extreme over exaggeration. Either way, he couldn't help but have a bad feeling that Judomaster was trying to get a boat to find something.
Most likely for the mysterious employer who hired him and the others to go to Gravesfield in the first place, or at the very least at the orders of Fox!
"Luz, I need your help. I think Francois is trying to start a rebellion."said King, referring to his stuffed rabbit.
"In a minute King. I'm so close to figuring out this glyph combo."said Luz, feeling like she was so close to discovering a new spell.
"What about you DK? Really to help me stop Francois and his rebellion."said King, but Batman just ignored him.
"Ah, glyph combo! Masked criminals! You two are too focused on things! Now I see why your father and daughter."said King, upset he wasn't getting the detention he craved.
"What about King and his need!"
"I'll play with you in a minute."said Batman, motioning for King to go away while he was busy.
"Why don't you ask Lilith for help. She was in the Emperor's Coven."said Luz, pointing over to Lilith.
"She has more experience with unruly mobs than anyone."said Luz, as Lilith was busy carefully drawing a glyph.
"Watching the ink drive the best part."said Lilith, who appears to be mentally focused on what she was doing.
"Um, I think I'll try to ask your dad again."said King, as Lilith was starting to creep him out with how... mentally focused she was being...
"A fresh cup of tea for my favorite cup of tea. That's you, Lulu."said Hooty as he brought Lilith a cup of tea.
"Well, Hootsifer, you truly are a gem. How do you always know what to do?"said Lilith as she started patting Hotty's yead, which he seems to enjoy.
"What's going on? Is Hooty blackmailing her?"asked King with a whisper, as most people rather not spend time with Hooty because of his... need for attention...
"Oh, I think they're actually friends, isn't that nice?"responded Luz, happy that Hooty was finally getting some attention.
"Okay, this will work for sure. Now you see me..."said Luz, as she pressed a glyph to her chest, causing her to disappear.
King and Lilith noticed this and appear to freak out until Luz reappeared again.
"...now you don't. Oh, I guess it only lasts as long as I hold my breath."said Luz, realizing that her new glyph had a drawback.
"Still pretty cool, huh?"
"Don't ever do that again!"said King, as for a moment he was worried that something happened to Luz.
"Do that again. How ever did you accomplish it?"asked Lilith, wondering how exactly Luz managed to make herself invisible.
"Well, since you guys discovered that we can make new spells by combining glyphs, I've been experimenting with Dad."said Luz, although she noticed that her father really wasn't paying attention so she decided to ignore that.
"I got the invisibility idea from your history books, Lilith."
"Fascinating. As the lead historical scholar of the Emperor's Coven, my aid could be very helpful to..."said Lilith, before she tripped on Kings stuffed animals/loyal subjects.
"An ambush! Men, defend your ruler!"said King as he tossed the stuffed animal at Lilith, only for it to be intercepted by Hooty, before he started to pretend die in Lilith's arms...
"I'm done for, Lulu."
"Hootsifer, this is make believe."
"Ah, to die In your arms." Avenge me."said Hooty before he pretend died, well King just threw another stuffed animal at Lilith, something Lilith ignored.
"The King of Demons weilds to no one!"said a defiant King.
"Historically, demons have never been United under one single rule until Belos. There's no such thing as a King of Demons."said Lilith, only for King to throw another stuffed animal at her in response.
"Blasphemy! Clearly you know nothing of my reign of terror. Allow me to tell you."said King as he went on to explain how he was once the mighty ruler of a legion of loyal demons.
Until a spell was cast on him that turned him into his current form.
"Oh? What happened to your crown of power?"asked Hooty, playing along.
"A trifle! That was just to test Eda and Luz's dedication to me. They passed. My real crown is still out there."said King with confidence.
"But when I shrank, my memories got, uh, fuzzy."said King, not remembering much of his past before meeting Eda.
"How convenient. A hole in your memory for each hole in your story."said Lilith, not believing King for even a second.
"Haha, nice one Lulu, up top."said Holty, as Lilith high fived his face.
"Hey, I remember plenty. I remember armies bowing before me, being served the greatest of feasts, and falling from a massive height as that evil hex strank me."said King, recalling memories he vividly remembered.
"One day, I'll return to my rightfull place and all she'll fear me."exclaimed King, determined to reclaim his lost power.
"Aw, you going to make such a good tyrant. Who's the scariest demon king? Who is it?"said Luz, as she began showing King affection because he was being so cute.
"Me! It's me!"said King, who enjoyed being showed affection.
"Your dedication to this farce would be charming if it weren't so sad."said Lilkth, still not believing that King used to be the King of Demons.
"Don't blame me for your ignorance. I'm not a liar, and I can prove it."said King as he stomped away.
"He call me ignorant. Me!"
"To be fair you believe that lying Emperor for years."said Batman, something Lilith couldn't argue with.
"Stop it, you guys. This story is really important to him, so the least we can do is play along."said Luz, who didn't want to hurt King's feelings.
"You mean indulge his silly fantasy?"corrected Lilith.
"Yeah! I'm a house of principles! Your asking me to lie? Hootragous!"said Hooty, although it was clear he was just agreeing with Lilith.
"Could you please just go with it? For his sake?"asked Luz, as she knew how much King's belief that he was the King of Demons meant to him.
King, on the other hand brought over Lilith and Edith's staffs.
"All righ, you two shall regret ever doubting me. We're going to my castle"
"What's wrong, Luz? I thought you said we should just go--."said Hooty, before he was interrupted.
"Go with him. I said we should go with them, right? How could I forget what I just said."said Luz, trying to save face in front of King so he wouldn't get hurt as she grabbed Owlbert.
"My historical expertise is being questioned, and I will not allow it. Hooty, would you like to accompany us?"asked Lilith, wondering if her friend wanted to come with her to prove King wrong.
Hokty just gasps, as this is the first time anyone has asked him to join them.
"I'll get ready!"said Holty as he begin changing himself to another portable version, but it was clear whatever he was doing was extremely gross based on how everyone minus Batman was reacting.
"Porta Hooty, reporting for Hooty."said Hooty, who is now in many portable house like... backpack in order for him to be mobile.
While where his original body was had clear signs of organs and veins...casuing Luz to feel like she was about to vomit, as King tried to look away, while Lilith looked on with shock.
"Luz, take this in case you run into any danger."said Batman as he handed something to his daughter.
"A stick?"said Luz before said sitck extended.
"A retractable bo staff. In case you ever need to get out of a hole or defend yourself in close quarters combat."explained Batman as his daughter hugged him.
"Love you, Dad! Alright everyone let's go!"said Luz, as everyone went out the door.
Eda on the other hand had stepped out of the shower she was taking .
"Hmm... where did everyone go. Man they made a mess in here. Oh pwrll, it's been awhile since I've had room to put my feet up."said Eda as she removed her feet and began to relax.
"Luz and the other said they were going to King's "real castle" or something like that."said Batman, causing Eda to look on with shock.
"Oh no! Not again!"said Eda as she stood up, only to remember that she removed her legs and fell to the floor.
"Come on DK! I need your help to get them back!"said Eda as she started getting dressed.
"What is going on?!"asked Batman as he followed Eda out the door.
"The island with King's "real castle" is extremely dangerous!"said Eda as she was about to pull out a bathtub with a propeller.
"We can get there with my bat jet ski."said Batman as he revealed that the batmobile had a jet ski attachment and quickly throw it into the ocean before eating himself jumped on it and began heading into the direction King and the others went.
Meanwhile far away King of the others were flying in that very direction.
"Are we still flying? It's been hours."complained Hooty, as they've been flying for hours and still nothing.
"Should we cal it a dat? Or perhaps a night?"joked Lilith, who began laughing at her own joke.
"There it is!"said King as he pointed to a nearby Island that appeared to have a large natural barrier, along with what look like a large rectangular building in the middle.
"This Island shouldn't be here. It's not on any of the maps."said Lilith, as no known map on the boiling Isles has the island in front of them printed on it.
"It's always been there when I looked for it."said King smugly.
Soon everyone landed on the island and began to look around.
"After I shrunk, I woke up here, in Eda's arms, and she carried me away. Like a little baby.."said King, explaining how he met Eda.
"Aw!"said Luz, imagining baby King.
"Look!"said Hooty, noticing something through the fog
"Ah, home sweet home."said King as the group began going closer to the building in the middle of the island.
Meanwhile not too far away from the island, a small boat docked onto the shore as Judomaster got off of the boat with what looked like a tracking device in his hand.
"So this is where you've been the whole time big guy."said Judomaster as he began venturing into the island.
Meanwhile in an unknown part of the island, something large was moving through the brush. A large creature that seemingly kept moving through the island, going in the direction Luz and her companions were going in, and begin to sniff into the air.
"I smell the Dark Knight's smell... but it's different. A relative perhaps. Either way they will pay for messing with my new home!"said Killer Croc, revealing that he had been on the island the whole time since he had been transferred to the Boiling Isles.
...
King meanwhile was leading Luz and the others deeper into the island, towards the tower at the center.
"That tower is certainly intriguing, but --Oh!"said Lilith, who almost tripped until Hooty managed to prevent that.
"Thank you, Hootsifer."
"My pleasure."said Hooty, even though his face was still planted onto a piece of bark.
"But couldn't we have landed a little closer?"asked Lilith, feeling like they could have landed closer to the tower.
"The tree tops are so thick, this is the only way in."pointed King, revealing that the trees were to densely grown together for anyone to fly towards the tower safely.
"Plu, now I can dramatically do this."said King as he pulled away some brush, revealing a door just a few feet away from them.
"Ooh. A door fit for a tyrant."
"Hehe, that's me."said King, flattered by Luz's compliment.
But as soon as they got to the door it was revealed to be covered in boulders.
"I'll find you guys another way in."said King, as he began to use his small body to go through the cracks.
"Huh, What a strange material. And this symbol. I've never seen anything quite like this."eaid Lilith, as nothing she was seeing is in any known historical book in the Boiling Isles.
"Ha! I've seen better graffiti! I've got better graffiti."said Hooty, revealing that he was covered in graffiti for some reason?
"Luz, look. This predates any language I know. King's story may be fake, but these ruins are a history mystery."said Lilith with excitement as the boulders that were covering the door fell, revealing that it was King who was behind that
"Huh? What's a mystery?"asked King.
"The only mystery is how Lilith can be so smart and so wrong at the same time. Academics, am I right?"said Luz, trying her best to keep King from discovering anything that might break his fantasy.
"You so are. Come on in."said King as everyone began following him inside.
"Well... this is interesting."said Judomaster as he discovered the tower and begin following king and the other secretly inside.
While King and his group were completely oblivious to the super villain not too far from where they were...
Meanwhile Batman and Eda were making their way as fast as they could on the back jet ski to the island that Eda was pointing them in.
"Not good!"said Batman, as Eda wondered what he was talking about.
"What seems to be the problem?"asked Eda.
"The tracker I placed on a criminal known as Waylon Jones AKA Killer Croc has started to activate."
"And, what's the problem?"
"It's in the direction we're going."said Batman, as it didn't take a genius to find out what he meant by that.
"Step on a, DK!"said Eda, as Batman accelerated their speed.
'Killer Croc must be the reason why Judomaster was asking about a boat! Luz, try to hold on until I get there as you're now trapped on an island with two dangerous super villains!' thought Batman, hoping to get there on time.
