Days have passed since King found out that he really wasn't the King of Demons like he always believed. Now he had a new goal, which was to find his father and find out why he was left on that island in the first place. He wanted to find his father. He needed to find his father!
"I'm going out for a while. If anything gets way of hand, be sure to remember what i taught you, Luz."said Batman, as he was going to head out to talk to a local snitch to get the whats up on the situation with Emperor Belos and the super villains from Earth.
"Okay, Dad. Be safe out there as Bonesborough is filled with all kinds of danger, and you never know who's lurking in the shadows. Although I guess that would be you since that your specialty..."said Luz, not sure why she tried to give her father that pep talk when he was the specialist when he came to moving around the grimy, criminally inclined city of Gotham City.
"I'm still surprised you accept him so easily. I mean he wasn't there your whole life, and his explanation is that your mom never told him about you, and that he only learned of your existence recently from one of his friend's / enemies."said King, wondering if he would be so accepting of his dad when they met.
"I can understand where Mom is coming from. Dad is one of the greatest superheroes of Earth. He couldn't be weighed down by raising a family as lots of villains would love to jump at the chance to hurt him in any emotional way possible, like hurting his family. Mom most likely knew this and that's why she didn't tell him. She also believed that Gotham needed him and that's why she left."said Luz, although that's what she believed in, she planned to get a proper explanation from her Mom when they found a way back to the human world.
"Wow, Luz. That is a really mature mindset."said King, impressed by how mature his friend Luz was being.
"Hey, what can I say? My Mom in a veterinarian and my dad is a world famous superhero! That's my life."said Luz, who was clearly putting on a strong front for King.
"Eh, parents..."said Eda, not too fond of parents herself
Meanwhile Batman entered Bonesborough with his body covered in a cloak. The reason for this is he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself as he already has quite the bounty on himself all throughout the Boiling Isles! It's second only to Eda's as last thing he wants is to draw the attention of any bounty hunters that will follow him back to his temporary base.
Hooty may be able to defend the Owl House but Batman didn't want to take any chances. After all he knew that several of the most dangerous villains he's ever faced are now scattered throughout the Boiling Isles, and it didn't help that most of them seem to be now under the protection of the Emperor's Coven!
'I need to find out what Belos is doing working with Fox and the others. and why Killer Croc was hiding from them on that island before Judomaster went to retrieve him.' thought Batman, as he entered the underground markets of the Boiling Isles.
It was a bit like the Night Market, only this market operated strictly in the shadows as last thing they wanted was to get the unnecessary attention of Belos's forces since a lot of the stuff they sell isn't exactly legal, especially information about the mysterious Emperor and those who follow him!
"Your late!"said a cyclops who was clearly waiting for Batman.
"Sorry, I had to give an excuse to someone important to me that wouldn't make them worry."said Batman, as he never told Luz exactly where he was going for her own safety.
As knowing her reckless nature if anything was to happen to him she would go off and look for him and that's the last thing he wanted!
"So, what do you want to know?"asked the Cyclops as the extended his hand and motioned for money.
Batman just tossed him a bag of snails as the two ducked into a nearby alley and made sure that no one was listening.
"So, what do you want to know?"repeated the Cyclops as soon as he felt that it was safe to speak.
"Tell me everything about the man in the animal mask who's been around the emperor."asked Batman, referring to Fox.
"Oh, him! That guy is a real nasty piece of work! Heard he's been put in charge of heading up the secret unit that answers to some friend of the Emperor and only to that friend. And whoever that person is is making damn sure that they keep their identity a secret."said the Cyclops, who clearly wasn't Fox's biggest fan.
"Tell me about this unit?asked Batman, wanting to know more.
"The called themselves the Titans Blue Cells. On account that they are the ones in eliminating the "pests" that roam around the Titan and make sure it's healthy... it's a damn sick joke if you ask me!"said the Cyclops, who clearly did not like this new group of interest.
"Tell me about any activity you can describe?"asked Batman as he handed another bag of snails over to the Cyclops.
"Well some little guy in a green spandex suit has been raiding mercenary hideouts with some big green thing covered in scales. Some other guy with a bag over his head has been exposing a bunch of prisoners to this gas that makes them all scared and whatever and only stops it when they are telling the truth, it's like he has a piece of Grom with him! And just the other day, this large metallic looking bug demon burned down the house of a witch who didn't want to join a Coven! Sounds crazy, idiot should have gotten himself a strong house demon like the Owl Lady and that definitely would never have happened."said the Cyclops, as Batman carefully analyzed this information.
'So Judomaster and Killer Croc are making sure that the mercenaries are reminded who exactly runs the Titan. Scarecrow must be working at the conformatorium using his fear gas in order to install fear into the prisoners. And it sounds like Firefly is acting as the Emperor's pyrotechnic! But why? My guess whoever this employer is is paying them up a whole lot of money in order to listen to some guy they never even met before. Fox is most likely the only one who knows his true identity, so if I can find Fox and get him alone, I can make him tell me who is really pulling the strings here!' thought Batman, as it was clear to him that he needed to find out more about Fox and his cohorts in order to find out who was really behind all of this.
Who was really Emperor Belos's secret partner!
"Good, and remember if anyone with authority asks we never had this conversation."said Batman as he and the Cyclops parted ways.
'There's more going on and I believe that it somehow ties with this Day Of Unity the people all over the Boiling Isles keep talking about. What is it about that specific day that will merge the worlds together? Then again those words were spoken by a tyrant who acts like he is sent from above to keep the people in line... I doubt he can actually speak to the Titan at all...so if i want to know more about Belos's mysterious partner, I need to know everything I can about Emperor Belos!' thought Batman as he was making his way back to the Owl House.
But before he could move any further, he noticed Eda was moving a snake out of her hair and she seemed to be breaking out in feathers... breaking out in feathers!
Batman ran over to see what was wrong when he saw Luz, and someone who appeared to be related to Eda falling out of the sky?
"Hey, what's going on here?"asked Eda, as Batman approached the group.
"Luz, what is going on?"asked Batman, wondering what was going on.
"Um, Day...meeed Eda's mom, Gwendolyn Clawthorne."said Luz, as she and Gwendolyn got up.
"Wicthlet, it okay. Luz and I are working to heal you."said Gwendolyn, as her palisman returned to her.
"What?!"asked Batman, wondering what the heck his daughter was thinking..
"This was all youm You weren't healing me.You nearly killed me."said Eda as more feathers started to appear around her body.
"Eda, please try to stay calm."said Luz, knowing that the curse activates faster if the cursed person is more stressed.
"Why? Why should I be calm?! I have a right to be upset!"said Eda as she transformed into the owlbeast!
"Don't worry. According to this we just have to--Uh..."said Gwendolyn as she pulled out a book that said it could heal curses.
"What?!"asked Batman as he stood behind his daughter.
"Buy the next volume..."said Gwendolyn nervously.
Batman and Luz honestly couldn't believe this as they just let out grunts a frustration!
The Owlbeast meanwhile let out a roar as King came out of the bushes for some reason.
"King?"asked Luz, as he was the last person she expected to show up out of nowhere.
"So Lilith was feeling stressed, and uh, the light glyph really didn't work. So, uh--uh--uh--"said King Ezra was revealed that Lilith had turned into an even larger version of the owlbeast!
"She turned into that thing!"said King as he held onto Luz's leg and Batman's cape.
"Sweet flee."said Gwendolyn nervously as Lilith owlbeast let out a roar!
Soon both Owlbeasts ran towards one another before Lilith picked up Eda and started flying away with her!
"That was my little sweetly. That means she's also--."
"Cursed! yes. Were you not paying attention to her?"said King as Luz and he got on Owlbert.
"We have to help them. Will you come with us?"asked Luz, wondering if Gwendolyn will help clean up the mess they started.
"This--This must be part of the process, right?"asked Gwendolyn, still hoping there was a chance that everything she worked so hard for worked!
"I can see you still need a little. Come on Dad, we're going to need your help All right, Owlbert. Lets fly.."said
Luz as she flew away while her father activated his wing bat feature and flew after her.
"Luz, tell me what's going on!"said Batman, wondering how this all came about while he was gone!
"Well Eda and Lilith's mom came for a visit, and turns out she was listening to some guru name WhorHop, and apparently he got it into her her head that his book had the secrets to lifting the owlbeast curse!"explained Luz as short and simple as she could.
"He sounds like a con artist and she fell for his con."said Batman, as such a convenient cure sounded too good to be true.
"I agree, but for now we need to get more elixir and give it to both of them."said Luz as both she and her father flew faster!
Meanwhile Eda and Lilith in Owlbeast form were continuously attacking each other, causing much destructive damage all throughout Bonesborough! Eda tried to fly away but Lilith was hard on her tail, and before long she knocked her out of the air! Eda managed to regain her flight but Lilith continued her relentless pursuit of her sister in Owlbeast form, before knocking both of them out of the sky!
And old lady was feeding a bunch of bird like creatures bread when Eda and Lilith landed next to her, causing the birds to fly away as fast as they could. But the old lady didn't appear to notice as she continued to toss bread onto the ground...?
"Got to think fast...Whoa!"said Luz, before noticing the Mr Elixir shop.
"No one's bought anything in a while. I should close up shop."said the store owner known as Morton before Luz called out to him, getting his attention.
"I need every last elixir you have!"said Luz, exciting Morton as he was finally going to make a sale.
"And do you accept payments in hyper realistic self portraits."said Luz, only for Morton to shut his door in front of her face.
"Shoot! I thought I was improving."said Luz, who thought she was really improving even though Batman wondered how she thought that was going to work.
"Don't worry. Mama's here."said Gwendolyn as she came flying in with a bag full of snails.
Meanwhile Eda and Lilith were still attacking one another as Gwendolyn, Luz, King, and Batman got onto a nearby roof.
"You sure this is going to work?"asked Luz, wondering if her father and Gwendolyn's plan was going to work.
"Yeah, are you like secretly sending us to our deaths!"said King, earning a glare from Batman.
"Nevermind."said King.
"No. I'm making things right!"said Gwendolyn as she smashed the pendant she was wearing with her foot.
Luz meanwhile flew on Owlbert towards the two Owlbeasts! Gwendolyn meanwhile created a magic circle and activated her magic, allowing magical platforms to allow her to move towards her daughter's!
"My beautiful daughters. I failed you."said Gwendolyn, getting her daughters attention as Eda approached her.
"Edalyn... you're in there, aren't you? I should have listened to you. I know now why you pushed me away. I made you think your curse was something to be ashamed of. Whether we want it or not, it's a part of you. And I love every part of you."said Gwendolyn, reaching to her daughter through her mindscape and allowing her to beet the owlbeast.
"I'm so sorry."said Gwendolyn, who should have listened to her daughter.
"Mom."said Eda, back in control of her own body.
"Witchlet!"said Gwendolyn as she hugged her daughter.
Lilith mean while I was about to strike, when Eda grabbed her claw and pinned her down.
"And Lilith...You we're always so self-sufficient. But I didn't give you the attention you deserved."said Gwendolyn, as her words appear to us reached Lilith as she began crying.
"Now!"said Gwendolyn is as King landed in forced their mouths open as Batman and Luz through elixirs into their mouths.
Soon both liquids entered both Eda and Lilith's mouths and soon the curse began to subside as they turn back to their normal forms.
"Dang, that is good elixir."said Luz as Lilith and Eda landed.
"About time, mom."said Eda as their mother caught them both as Lilith began sobbing.
"Mom, I heard you but I couldn't stop myself. I--I couldn't do anything."said Lilith, apologetic for attacking her own family while in the owlbeast state.
"It's okay. Everything is okay now. I'm here for you both."said Gwendolyn as she hugged her daughters.
"She was trying to do her best, huh?"asked King.
"Mothers always try to do their best for their children."said Batman, as his mother Martha was like that.
"Yeah..."said Luz as Batman held her.

(Later at the Owl House)
"I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. but I-I just wanted to help. I should have trusted you more."said Gwendolyn in an apologetic tone.
"Yeah, you should have. But, hey, don't be a stranger. Okay, mom."said Eda as she playfully punched her mother's arm.
"Mom, I'm ready!"said Lilith, who plans to live with her parents for the time being.
"Huh?"asked Eda.
"Well, we were talking, and I decided to go home with mother to make up for lost time."said Lilith, as they had a lot of catching up to do.
"What?"
"Lily?"
"You lived here?"
"What?!"exclaimed Hooty.
"Edalyn, Lilith told me how she gave you the curse. I am so, so sorry to you both Travis secret weighing you down. I wish I knew sooner."said Gwendolyn as she grabbed both of her daughter's hands.
"There's still a lot to be learned about this curse. But it'll be nice to spend some time home and reconnect with Dad."said Lilith, as Batman noticed that the subject about her father made Eda uncomfortable.
"We'll be away for a while, but we have plenty of elixir stocked up."said Gwendolyn as she pulled elixir out of her hair.
"Someday my hair is going to be big enough to do that too."said Luz, as Batman can already imagine the awkward conversation he was going to have with Camila about that...
"You actually want that?"asked King, Batman's thoughts exactly!
"No, Lulu! You can't!"said Hooty as he went to Lilith with tears in his eyes.
"Hootsifer, I have to. But don't worry, we can be pen pals."said Lilith as she nuzzled him a little before walking away.
"But I can't hold a pen."said Hooty as he began sobbing on the ground.
"Luz, if it weren't for you I might still be wrapped up in Wortlop's lies. So here's what I should have told you from the start. You and your father not the only humans to have lived in Bonesborough."said Gwendolyn, shocking Luz and her father.
"There's a rare substance called Titan's blood. It is extremely powerful and sometimes causes leaks between our realms. Plants, animals--And you guys have a lot of garbage by the way. But humans are rare. My great-grandmother told me about a human who once lived here. But one day he just vanished. Rumor has it he left something in the library, and if you can find out more about him."
"Then I could find out how he got here."said Luz, getting where Gwendolyn was going with her explanation.
"And you. You have a daughter with a good head on her shoulders. And it's pretty obvious to me that we're not the only ones that need to do catching up."said Gwendolyn to Batman.
"I know..."said Batman as he held his daughter's shoulder.
Gwendolyn and Lilith then parted ways as Luz said to herself that she would be with her mom soon.
Batman also heard her talk about camp, and how someone has been sending letters from that camp using a similar writing style to Luz.
He thought about telling her but he didn't want her to worry, that was an issue for another day as they've had a long day.
Batman just motion for them to go inside before he turned around and waved his hand.
"So he knew we were here the whole time."said Fox, revealing that he had watched the whole thing with a telescope.
"What's our next move?"asked Vulture.
"Nothing, we leave them alone for the time being. Our employer's orders are absolute and trust me when I tell you you don't want to cross him. Isn't that right."said Fox to a figure hidden by a hooded cloak.
The hooded figure just smiled as they began walking away from the Owl House.
Meanwhile in the human world. Camila was crying as she was watching an animal documentary.
"I'm sorry. These animal documentaries make me such a mess."said Camila as "Luz" handed her a box of tissue paper.
