A/N: This is for the 5 fandoms challenge. it was for the promot 'Arya finds some unexpected people in the dungeons of the Twins'

Arya backed up into a dark alcove as a guard walked past.

She knew that she would have to be quick and stick to the shadows or she would be caught, her mission had to be done before she took the Frey's out. There would be no time to linger after.

After hearing no more footsteps, Arya stepped out and walked down the winding staircase to the dungeons.

The sound of water rushing nearby meant that they were next to the river, which was most likely the only escape route from here.

"Who's there?" a tired voice asked.

When she didn't answer they called out again.

"I know someone is there. I can hear your footsteps."

"Shut up, Edmure. Do you really think one of the Frey's would appreciate you talking like that to them?" another man asked.

The voice was familiar, but Arya couldn't place it.

The first man, however, had to be her uncle.

She took off the face of the servant girl she had been wearing and stepped into the light.

"Hello uncle," she said emotionlessly.

"Uncle? You are not Sansa. She is in the north with the bastard."

"I'm Arya," she told him.

"Arya Stark is dead. No one has seen her of heard from her in years," he scoffed.

"Turn around to me lass. I'm Great Jon Umber, one of the Stark bannerman, and I met young Arya during a feast Ned threw for the harvest a few months before the king went north."

So that was where she knew the voice from.

She could tell he was a northerner, but had no idea who he was until he said.

Slowly she turned around and went closer to the bars.

Great Jon Umber looked filthy and haggard, but his eyes held a mixture of hope and concern.

"By the gods! It's really you. What are you doing here girl? It's dangerous for you," he exclaimed.

"I'm here to avenge my family. I have my ways not to get caught!" Arya replied.

She wasn't about to tell him about her faces.

"There is something you should know-"

"Arya, is that really you?" a frail voice asked in one of the cells further down.

Her brow furrowed.

She also knew that voice.

"Go to her," Edmure urged.

It seemed that at the Great Jon's confirmation that her uncle believed it was truly her.

Walking deeper into the dungeon, Arya found the cell she was looking for and couldn't believe who was there.

"Mother?" she said.

"Yes sweetling, it's me. Please let me look at you my darling girl.," Catelyn said.

Arya stepped forward until she was pressed against the bars.

Seeing her mother sit on the cold, damp floor looking defeated overwhelmed her, and for the first time in years she felt tears running down her cheeks.

Catelyn pushed herself up with whatever strength she had left and stumbled to the bars separating them.

Her bony fingers caressed Arya's cheek lightly as she began to sob.

"You're actually here, alive," she said in wonder. "You're not safe here. You must leave Arya."

Arya shook her head.

"Not before avenging Robb. I have a plan, mother. I will do it and then come for you. I promise."

"No, Arya. If they find you here," Catelyn said frantically before closing her eyes.

"Please trust me. They won't find out who I am until it's too late," Arya tried to reassure her.

"If you're sure," she said weakly.

"I am. It,and take a few days, but I will come back."

Catelyn nodded.

"I must go. The guards come down every twenty minutes and it's been nearly fifteen now," Arya told her.

"Stay safe, sweetling," Catelyn told her.

"I will see you soon."

As she walked back to the entrance, Arya was more determined than ever to make House Frey pay for what they had done.

As she got to her uncle Edmure's and the Great Jon's cells, she repeated the promise to free them after her plan had been executed.

Both men were grateful, but her uncle did ask not to harm his wife and so .

"She didn't know what they were going to do, and my son is innocent," Edmure begged.

"It's okay uncle. I don't intend to harm the women and children," Arya replied.

She was glad to hear that Roslin had no part in the massacre dubbed the Red Wedding. Her uncle deserved to be happy after all these years in captivity.

Once she was back on the main level, she slipped into the alcove and put the serving girl's face once again.

All the preparation for her plans was done. Now it was time to put them into action.
