"Oh..."

The rest of the survivors stared at Ludwig when he finished his heartfelt story.

"I am so sorry-" Roderich started, but was cut off by the German.

"It doesn't matter." he took a deep breath and looked around. "So who's next?"

They stayed silent before the Belarusian stepped forward. "I'll go."

Natalya Arlovskaya was on a stroll around her neighbourhood. Whistling to herself, she skipped through the rain, pulling her hand through her wet hair. She wasn't looking where she was going, however, and slipped on the mud. She felt her ankle twist beneath her.

Cursing softly, she looked around to see if there was anyone around. Unfortunately, there was no one, as it was pouring.

Except for that weirdo over by the power lines.

Fine, it seemed she should call for his help.

"EXCUSE ME, SIR?" she yelled. "CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? I SPRAINED MY ANKLE AND-"

She stopped as the man headed over to her, and quite impatiently. After what felt like a million light years, he had finally arrived.

"Thank you, I-"

He put a finger on her lips, making her mildly infuriated.

"Let me help you."

"Gee, because that was what I was asking, genius." she muttered under her breath. She let herself be pulled up, and winced.

She held on him tightly. "Could you perhaps take me to a hospital?" she asked.

He nodded.

He walked her through the fields, and they walked and walked and walked... before Natalya realised they were walking further away from the surburb. "Um, this isn't the way to the hospital-"

"Hush, child."

She felt her pulse quicken. She shoved him off her. "I don't know who you are, but you need to stop talking like I am a child! Because I'm not! I'm nineteen, I'm legally an adult! You know what, stuff this." She started limping off back the way they came. But she didn't get far before the man leapt on her.

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF-" she screeched, hitting him. "GET OFF!"

"Looks like you won't come easily like the rest..." she heard him sigh.

'Like the rest? The rest of who?'

He swiftly placed a hanky over her mouth, making her feel faint, passing out.

Natalya woke up in a hospital type of room, though she knew it really wasn't a hospital because there were no nurses in sight.

She glanced over at the desk, and saw an envelope on top of a journal. Leaning over, she picked it up and opened the envelope.

It read;

'Dear player,
If you are reading this, this means you about to embark on a game. 'When the lights flicker, some of you will fall'. Your job is to ensure your side will win.
Good team:
Detective - gets clues to try find out who's on the evil team
Spy - bugs players to see who visits them
Twins - whatever happens to one, happens to the other
Psychic - reads players to find out which team they're in
Muffin man - gives muffins to players
Medic - heals players
Saviour - resurrects a dead person
Survivor - help the Good Team eliminate the Evil Team.
Evil team:
Murderer - kills players
Assassin - kills only one player and is the most lethal
Scout - b
ugs players to see who visits them
Dark psychic -
reads players to find out which team they're in
Witch - blocks other players powers
Neutral Team:
Clown - get voted off to kill someone the round afterwards
To see what role you are in further detail, open the journal to the first page. If your team eliminates all of the other team, the remaining players will move on to the next round.
Use the journal to leave behind a message to the other players in case you die. Examples; your role, your suspects, etc.
Good luck! You will need it.

P.S., it is best not to tell people your role. The other team may target you instantly.'

She narrowed her eyes in confusion. She decided to open the journal next and a piece of paper fluttered out. She bent down and picked it up, reading it.

'YOU ARE... MEDIC
You are part of the GOOD TEAM. Protect one person each round from an attack! Find the murderer, and survive!'

'What?'

As if she wasn't confused earlier. She spotted someone walk slowly past her room, looking as muddled as she felt.

"Hey, excuse me?" she called out, stopping him from walking.

"Hm?" the young man turned to look at her.

"Um, do you know what's happening?"

He laughed. "Not at all. I just got this note... and... I have no idea."

"Oh."

They stared at each other awkwardly.

"Anyway, I'm going to head down that way, I hear a lot of voices there."

"Okay, let me join yo- OuCH!" she screamed, forgetting at her ankle.

"Are you okay? Do you want me to carry you there or something?"

"I'm fine-"

"You're not."

The two stared at each other for a long time.

"Okay, you win."

"Cool!" the man giggled. "I'm Agapito, by the way."

"I'm Natalya."

Agapito ended up piggy-backing Natalya all the way to the lobby, where they saw thirteen others.

They all ended up introducing themselves.

There was a New Zealander Kaelin, Eqyptian Gupta, Filipino Agapito, Indonesian Muhammad, Italian Lovino, Brazilian Cauã, Ukrainian Katyusha, Indian Neeraja, Singaporean Aiden, Estonian Eduard, Australian Jett, Greek Heracles, Malaysian Abdul and the hot-headed American Alfred.

Most of them were extremely friendly and chatted away like they all knew each other.

"It's kinda funny how I've never meet any of before, yet I feel like I've known you my whole life." Jett marvelled. "The universe sure is something."

Then the lights turned off.

Several of the men squealed, like they've never experienced a black-out before.

"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!" Lovino took the words right of Natalya's mouth.

The group steadily fell silent.

"B- But I'm scared of the dark-" Agapito quivered underneath her.

"Get a hold of yourself." she hissed at him, whacking him lightly on the head.

Kaelin cleared his throat. "Alright. Maybe we should all just go back to our rooms. Who knows? Besides, I am seriously tired. Do you agree?" he yawned.

The fifteen of them stumbled through the dark, finding their way back to their rooms.

Agapito gingerly placed Natalya on her bed and smiled. "I'll be back to carry you later."

"Har har, no thanks." she replied and waited for him to leave.

As soon as he did, the doors swung shut and the walls of her room started lighting up. Shocked, she stared at it.

'Heal a person: [Abdul] [Agapito] [Aiden] [Alfred] [Cauã] [Eduard] [Gupta] [Heracles] [Jett] [Kaelin] [Katyusha] [Lovino] [Muhammad] [Neeraja]'

She was deep in thought. Heal someone? Whatever did that mean? Shrugging, she shut her eyes and blindly swiped at some name. She peeked through her eyelids and saw that her hand hit [Aiden]. She didn't know what it did, and frankly, she didn't care.

So she decided to keep obsessing over the man who didn't help her. What an idiot.

Eventually, the door opened while she was in the middle of an imaginative scenario of pushing that guy off a cliff and a few seconds later Agapito ran in.

"Hey, how are you? Muhammad reckons someone died according to him. Wanna go see if he's right?" he spoke all too very fast.

"Uh..." Natalya didn't hear a single word. She nodded, hoping it was the right thing to do. He lifted her and ran out of the room.

"Muhammad! Where are you?" he shouted, almost dropping her.

"Jett's room! Hurry up, you blob of clay!"

They arrived at the room, where everyone else was huddled around his bed. She saw Kaelin quietly nibbling on a muffin and questioned where he got it from.

"No idea, the wall kinda just opened up and the muffin came out. So I'm eating it."

"What if it's poisonous?" Cauãraised his eyebrows.

"Well, I'm still alive right?" he said, even though he had only eaten the slightest bit.

Heracles poked Jett in the face. "I think he's... Is he dead?"

"That's exactly what I think." Muhammad agreed. "And I think I know who did it. It was Lovino."

"Ah." Kaelin spoke up. "That makes sense."

"What? No it doesn't." Natalya objected from Agapito's back.

"Yes it does. Because, I'm the Spy, right? I happened to bug the person the Murderer was going to kill. So I know who it is. Lovino." Muhammad explained.

Lovino squealed. "Guys, it's not me!"

"... Really? Do you have any proof to that statement?" Eduard asked.

"Yeah... Uh... someone can back me up!"

"I don't think he's Murderer." Katyusha shrugged.

"Why not?"

"I don't know... just 'cause."

The entire group stood where they were, all staring at Lovino.

He crumbled.

"Fine! It's me!" he shouted. "Muhammad is correct!"

Natalya blinked. O-kay, that was quick. He didn't even give that much of a fight.

And then he stormed off and started crying.

The others exchanged uncomfortable looks.

"He... is okay, right?" Neeraja stuttered.

"Hopefully..." Abdul replied.

"Lovino had the most votes. He will now be removed."

The sobs were cut off halfway.

"Uh... he'll be fine...?" Aiden shrugged.

Natalya was back in her room, fiddling with her journal. She decided to title it 'The Medic Who Can't Even Heal Her Broken Ankle' and flopped on the bed.

Gosh darn it, why was she even here? She hit [Heracles] grumpily. After a few minutes, the doors whizzed open and Agapito practically flew in.

"Hey again, get on!" he yelled.

She rolled her eyes but obeyed.

He lifted her out and into the lobby, where Kaelin and Muhammad were waiting.

Alfred screamed and ran into Muhammad.

"Eduard is dead! And so is Neeraja! Like, dead dead! With the blood and everything!"

"Both?" Kaelin asked.

"Well, yes, that's literally what I just said!" he squealed.

"But... Lovino was the Murderer... and he's gone, so why two?" Heracles mumbled, walking in their conversation.

The small group stood where they were.

"We might as well go find the rest, right?" Natalya suggested. They all went off to find them, who were all currently standing in Neeraja's room.

"Does anyone have any suspicions?" Gupta asked, looking around.

"I think Katyusha." Kaelin spoke up.

"What? Me?!" she gasped. "What evidence could you possibly have-"

"One," he interrupted. "is that you tried backing up Lovino when all the proof was pointing his way. Two; as the detective, you are the my main suspect."

"The detective?"

He nodded. "The clues over these past two rounds I got are; 'At least one of these players are evil; Lovino, Katyusha and Muhammad' and 'At least one of these players are evil; Katyusha, Aiden and Gupta'. The fact that your name has appeared twice makes me think that it's you."

She narrowed her eyes at him. "And what's your point?"

"That you're on the Evil Team, duh." he rolled his eyes.

"Natyusha had the most votes. She will now be removed."

The rest of the group headed inside her room. Cauã opened the journal. He skimmed it quickly. "Yup, she was the Assassin. Good calling, Kaelin."

"I know, because I am always right." he replied sarcastically. "No but seriously, I happened to get lucky with those clues. Who knows what might happen next?"

Back in her room, Natalya nursed her ankle once again. So, the Murderer and the Assassin were both dead. And if there were more Evil people...

At least no one could die if the two killers were gone.

But she was still the Medic so... She tapped Agapito's name and waited patiently for the doors to open. With Kaelin as the detective, they'd be able to vote out the rest of the team.

The doors whizzed open and after a few seconds she heard squeals coming from outside. The Filipino man came running in and tripped, banging his head on the bed.

"Natalya, guess what?! Eduard and Neeraja are back!"

"WHAT?!"

The two stared at each other.

"How... How is that possible?"

"Alfred was the Saviour, he revived them! Come on!"

He quickly pulled her onto his back and hurried to the lobby, where Neeraja and Eduard were there waiting for them.

Instantly, Natalya interrogated Kaelin. "So any clues, Mr. Detective?"

"Sadly not. I got witched."

"You got... what?"

"Witched. It means that the Witch, Evil Team obviously, can your block your role that round. So I didn't receive a clue." he explained.

Aiden nudged Cauã. "Hey, may I talk to you privately for a second?"

He raised an eyebrow but nodded. Neeraja followed them with his eyes. "I'm going to spy on them." he told the others and crept after them.

"Kaelin didn't receive any clues, so... does anyone have any suspects in the slightest?" Gupta asked, while chewing on a muffin.

Agapito frowned. "Well, for certain we know that Muhammad is the Spy, Kaelin is the Detective, Alfred is the Saviour and Neeraja and Eduard are the Twins... but the rest of us don't have alibis. It could easily be one of us."

Neeraja came running up the corridor, puffed. A few seconds later the Brazilian and the Singaporean walked into the lobby.

The entire group fell silent as the Indian pointed an accusing finger at Cauã.

"He's part of the Evil Team. I overheard him telling Aiden he was the Witch!"

Everyone stared at him.

"What? You were eavesdropping?!" he exclaimed, forgetting to back himself up.

"So you are the Witch." Natalya stated the obvious.

"Cauã had the most votes. He will now be removed."

So two more people. Natalya thought, reading over the note. The Dark Psychic and the Scout... Who could they be?

"I'm heeeere~" Agapito sang, dashing inside her room. She rolled her eyes and clambered on.

They had barely made it to the lobby, before fingers were already pointing.

"Heracles is Evil." Abdul accused. "I'm the Psychic."

"Correct." he yawned.

Natalya frowned, exchanging looks with Alfred. It seemed like the Evil Team was not good at defending themselves.

"I'm the Scout. Though I'm not sure how it is useful. Anyway, you've pretty much won, haven't you?"

"Heracles had the most votes. He will now be removed."

The group were standing back in the lobby after the usual brief intermission. Muhammad stared at the group. "Well, I think its Abdul." he said. "I bugged Aiden and you visited him."

"Eh? That was because I read him. I was about to tell you guys he was Evil-" he started but he was stopped.

Kaelin tapped his chin. "I'm also confused on who it is. Muhammad, Abdul and Aiden are my next suspects... but you're all accusing each other and I can't make heads or tails out of it."

"I'm leaning towards Aiden." Gupta spoke up. "You see, Muhammad and Abdul are obviously Good, they have helped voted out the Evil Team. By deductions, that leaves Aiden."

The rest of the group agreed with this logic and so...

"Aiden has the most votes. He will now be removed."

"So... have we won?" Agapito piped up. "That's everyone on the Evil Team... right?"

Suddenly, Gupta dropped down to the ground, making everyone scream in shock.

"Hey! Man, are you okay?!" Eduard bent down. He stood back up, a look of confusion on his face. "I... think he's dead...?"

"What?"

"Maybe... we should check his journal. To see if there's any information to why he just... died." Natalya offered.

So they headed off to Gupta's room and read his journal.

"He's the Clown, then." Alfred said. "So why did he just... flop dead?"

Abdul was deep in thought. "Wait, Clowns are Neutral, right? And the Clown's role is to get voted off... Oh."

"So, because he didn't fulfil his objective, he's now dead?" Agapito said in disbelief.

"I guess..."

They all headed back to the lobby, where they propped up Gupta's body against the wall.

"We should probably go..." Natalya pointed to the corridor that had just appeared out of nowhere.

The eight of them walked into it, leaving behind what they had just experienced.
