"Why do we have such few applicants?!" Chris asked hysterically.

He, Chef and a few of the interns were looking over the apps, which were only seven. He was panicked, hair in a frazzled mess as he paced, holding one of the apps in his hand.

"This season is supposed to start next month! We can't have a season with only 7 players! No drama, no ratings, and I get canceled for having a terrible show."

His panic only rose, causing Chef to stand and pull him into a hug. He pat Chris's back a few times, the action leading the host to talk larger, slower breaths. He soon pushed away from the hug, gathering himself before looking at the interns.

"Who and what do we got?"

Benny opened the app in his hand and raised an eyebrow.

"We got one Debbie Anderson. Nice, friendly, and seems like the hero type. What's more, she's-"

"Hold it!" Chris interrupted the intern. "Did you say Anderson? As in, Cody Anderson?"

Benny nodded, clearing his throat. "Had you let me finish, I would have said that she is the cousin of Cody from Island and World Tour."

"That's odd." Ellie said, looking up from her phone. "If he had a cousin, how come he never mentioned her?"

"The same reason Noah never mentioned his siblings." Emma brought up. "No need to give more information than needed, especially about family and home."

Benny flipped more through the folder, stifling a groan as he held up a picture of Debbie. She was a bit shorter than he was, standing at 5'8, and was wearing a orange tank top, revealing her large chest, a Jean jacket over it, periwinkle jeans with orange socks peeking through at her ankles, red boots with white laces. Her teal eyes were open and auburn hair down flat.

The picture caused everyone to have a different reaction. Chris and Chef were indifferent for the most part, with the former squinting a bit. Ellie blushed and hid her face in her phone, while Emma rolled her eyes with a shake of the head.

"She has the same features as Cody in terms of eyes and hair color, if not a bit taller." Chris said, leaning back.

"That's her 'baby' cousin that she loves and adores." Benny said, reading out of the folder. "Do we accept her, yes or no?"

"Yes." Chris said, grabbing the folder from Benny. "It would be interesting to see how she differs from Cody, the underdog of season 3."

"Yeah, why not." Chef said, shrugging.

"No." Emma stated, crossing her arms. "She's giving me Lindsay vibes, but maybe a little smarter."

"Yes." Ellie said, not giving any reasoning.

"Sorry Emma, you are outvoted 3 to 1. Debbie Anderson, is in." Benny announced, Chris putting the folder in the accepted pile.

Emma hmphed and grabbed the next folder from the table. Opening it, she gave a quick scan of the contents inside.

"Joshua Everest. Skater, 6 feet even, looks like someone who gets high regularly." She said, holding up a picture of Joshua.

He was sitting on his skateboard, legs fully extended out. He wore a orange beanie, blonde dreadlocks flowing out the back and the sides. He wore a mostly unzipped black jacket that revealed his yellow shirt, and blue jeans that lead to his black socks and Nike's. His head was down and eyes closed.

"He doesn't look like much. Anything of note?" Chris asked, hand on his chin.

"Says here he will play a cutthroat game once he takes it seriously. Sounds a bit interesting, but depends on if he makes it far enough to "take the game seriously."" Emma replied, giving air quotes.

"Sure, let's bring him in." Chris nodded. "He seems like a good ratings grabber.

"I'm with Chris, let him join." Chef agreed.

"For the ratings and the possible magnet he can become, let him in." Benny said.

"W-well, I'm already out voted, so I say he can join." Ellie whispered.

Emma sighed and put the folder into the accepted pile with Debbie's. Chef grabbed the next folder, opening it to reveal he had it upside down. The contents fell to the floor, Ellie stifling a laugh at the misfortune. Across the scattered paper, a picture was seen. The girl was huge, taller than Joshua with a scary 6'4 build. She had black headphones around her neck, and a black crop top. Silver pants lead to white socks and black shoes with white trimmings. Her left hand housed a black bracelet and the right hand was home to a silver ring. The silver shined brightly against the sun in the picture and her pale skin, her brown hair waving in the wind with her black eyes stared directly into the camera.

Chef picked up the papers, looking through them and finding what he was looking for.

"This here is Quinn Irons. Says she likes music, isn't gullible and isn't too fond of Chris and I."

"No." Chris said, shaking his head. "Not someone who can pick me up and actually harm me."

"Yes. While she gives Duncan vibes, she is against Chris, and I want to see him squirm." Emma disagreed.

"No. We need a host for this show, and she might put him in a body bag." Benny put in, looking at Chris.

"Yes." Ellie said, not paying attention but heard Emma say yes.

"Well, I'm not going to break the tie. She goes into the maybe pile until further notice." Chef declared, putting the folder down.

Chris opened the folder and his hand that he had accidentally crinkled earlier, flattening out the wrinkles to better read the information.

"Maybelle Palmers. A quick picture and-" Chris started, before suddenly screaming in pain and looking away. "Too! Bright!"

Chef grabbed the picture and had the same reaction, turning it around so the others could see. Maybelle was the shortest so far, only standing at 5'2. She had a pink sweater over a black t-shirt, a purple skirt over purple shorts and white shoes.

"Goodness, she's more bubbly than Debbie looked." Emma stated.

"Says she's bubbly, wants everyone to be her friend, and is sweet." Chris read from the folder after recovering. "Thoughts?"

"Yes. We need nice people." Ellie said first.

"No. Too bright and colorful." Chef grunted, still trying to recover.

"Yes. We need a "hero"." Benny said.

"Since Ellie said yes, I'll say yes." Emma said, rubbing her eyes and not mentioning how Ellie gave her puppy dog eyes.

Chris put the file down and slid one over to Ellie, who barely caught it. She fumbled a bit and managed to get it open.

"Claire Baker-OMG!" Ellie exclaimed, jumping up. "I know here! She streams on Twitch!"

Benny, Chef and Chris all looked at each other in confusion. "Twitch?"

Emma sighed and rubbed her head. She went over and gave Ellie a flick, looking back at the others. "Ignore her, she gets like this. Ellie, just read the app and show a picture."

Ellie mumbled under her breath and did as she was told, showing a picture of Claire. She had light brown hair that was tied in a fishtail braid over her shoulder, as well as light complexion and green eyes. She was also on the short side, standing at 5'4. She had a red zip up sweater that was partly unzipped to show a RWBY shirt underneath. She sported blue jeans to finish the look.

"She's determined to win, willing to butt heads with arrogants, and will be competitive."

"Fine, let her in. We need someone with experience." Chris said.

"Yeah, she can come in I guess." Chef shrugged, not caring one way or another.

"If it makes you happy, but don't go overreacting. She can join." Emma begrudgingly stated.

"Having someone popular could be a benefit, so sure." Benny gave his input.

Ellie squealed as she slid the folder back, landing it next to the yes pile. Chris picked up the next file, cracking it open.

"Kylie May Wu. Friendly, headstrong and yet another hero." Chris summarized, holding up a picture.

She was mixed between Japanese and Hispanic. She wore a two piece cheerleading outfit, that complimented her hourglass figure well. She had a mini leather jacket over it, and red converse, that matched her red lipstick. She had a small smile, her arms up with pom pom's in her hands, one leg up.

Emma rolled her eyes, as well as Benny. Ellie and Chef didn't seem to have a care one way or another, Chef huffing and Ellie giving a quick glance before looking back to her phone.

"What is this?" Benny asked, shaking his head. "This is the third person showing off more skin than needed."

"I agree with Benny. One is bad enough, but three? This is getting out of hand." Emma added on, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"Sure, whatever. Just cast your vote so we can move on." Chris impatiently urged, waving his hands to speed them along.

"Yes." "Yes." "No." "Yes." Benny, Emma, Chef and Ellie answered at the same time. Chef gave a startled look to the former two, looking between them with a slightly agape mouth.

"If you did all that complaining, why let her on?!" He demanded, crossing his arms with a raised eyebrow.

"Because while it might not bring the audience we want per say, it is still an audience." Benny responded, holding up his hands in defense, while Emma did nothing but shrug and nod.

Chef grumbled at his own little blindside as Chris placed the folder into the accept pile. Chef himself grabbed the last folder. He held the drama of opening it, doing it to mess with the others. After a few moments of opening, he read silently, grunting. He didn't say a word until he took out a photo and slid it to the center of the table, everyone taking a little moment to look at it.

The picture contained a girl, smiling a bit and more in the shadows than the light of the flash. The flash was somewhat reflected from her hazel eyes that had shown through the shadows, her clothes, which were all black, faded into the shadows as well, but the flash showing fingerless gloves, black converses, a black V neck t-shirt and black, ripped jeans. Her hair was frazzled and a bit wild.

"Introverted, wants to be a cop, promises to keep the show interesting." Chef summarized.

"And what's her name?" Chris asked, crossing his arms at the picture.

"Diana Shiloh Rodriguez."

"Yeah…no. We don't need another Gwen." Benny said, shaking his head.

"I agree. Another introvert? That's dull." Chris added on.

"I think we should have her. A new spice to this cast." Emma argued, making it a two to one vote.

"I think we should have her so not everyone isn't big and bold." Ellie put in, looking up from her phone again.

Chef put it with Quinn's folder as everyone took a seat. They were in their minds, trying to find a way to break the tie. They offered an idea, but it never seemed to work out to someone. As all seemed hopeless and as they were starting to decide to take a revote, there was a knock on the door. Before anyone could respond, it opened.

In walked a boy, headphones square on his head. He had a black hat backwards that covered his hair, a peek of curly orange peeking through. He was tanned, walking to the beat of the song he was listening to. His baggy sweatpants jiggled a bit with every step and his arms were behind his head, hands on the brim of the hat. His dark brown eyes examined everyone, before he stood in front of Chris, removing the headphones.

"Hi. Stephen said you needed help." He said, lowering his hands. "He said he was busy and sent me in. I'm Quinten."

"Nice to meet you I guess. We needed another person anyway." Chris said, grabbing the folders that had been put in the middle. "Read these and say if they should enter or not."

Quinten took a moment to read them, nodding and closing them.

"Quinn should be in, as she is also a DJ and we can exchange music. And Diana should be in because she is an introvert and that's something not people are."

Chris grabbed them and put them into the accepted pile. He sat back down, rubbing his head.

"Now if we knew why so little came in." He groaned.

"Easy." Quinten said, sitting on the table, sending a wave to Ellie. "You didn't finish. Some parts are left out, like strengths, weaknesses, background, the whole nine."

Chris looked at him and grabbed the nearest folder, gasping at it.

"You're right! Holy- We need to fix these. Now. INTERNS!"

Thought I dropped again, didn't ya? Well, I didn't! Just a bit busy.

Here are the first 7 accepted, as they went through my terrible app and sent someone. Thank you all, truely.

As for the app, if it's any easier, I still have the one for Survival Island in my about me, so copy that and add the Splatoon part.

Speaking of, if you haven't noticed, I got almost half of the girls. This isn't first come first serve, but sending a dude may be easier. Also, some antagonists and people who don't know the game well would be much appreciated!

Also, thoughts and characters thoughts on my interns. I don't have much planned for them, but if you want a side plot with one of em, just let me know!

Ellie:

Emma:

Quinten:

Thank you and have a good day!
