Chapter 2
"You really don't remember anything"
"Until you called me Hector I didn't even know my name" So far I had only learned a few things 1. My name is Hector 2. I come from a place called camp half-blood 3. I am apparently friends with this girl named Sophia who has brown hair and grey eyes.
"Who's your godly parent"
"Athena"
"We should probably get moving because the monsters won't stay away for long."
"Yea, ok" I manage
…
"Do I normally do that?" I ask
"Do what"
"Summon that sword"
"Yea"
We kept walking through the maze just going whatever direction I say
"What is my last name?"
"Nephus"
We walked for a few minutes in silence
"I was sent in this maze by Chiron to retrieve a stone called Baetylus that is supposedly imbued with life" She states
"And I was sent here by someone to do something" I joke
We saw a small bit of water and both walked up to it. I looked down at the water and realized I did not even know what I looked like. It was hard to tell but it looked like I was pale with black hair and dark brown eyes. I knelt down and took a drink knowing we might not have clean water for a long time. I looked over at Sophia who was just standing near the water looking at me "something wrong?" She quickly looked away
"No"
"You should drink some water while we have it," I say taking a sip
She took a flask out of her backpack and drank out of it
"I always have water," she says
"Not fair," I say
"What else do you have that you're not telling me about?"
"It was supposed to be a one-person quest so, not much" She laid out the continents of the bag, some food some water a bedroll, and some extra clothes for her.
"Yea, not much" I mumbled
She put the stuff back in the bag.
"Let's get moving"
Just then the Hellhounds as Sophia calls them came back
"Or not," I say summoning my swords but this time they did not cower. Instead, they charged and it was time to see if I really was good with a sword. I paired the moment one stuck then fainted at another and stabbed it did an upward slash on the third decapitating it. Without thinking I accidentally raised some undead who killed the one that I paired against.
"Tada," I said while watching the dead go back underground I bowed mockingly at Sophia and said "This way" She laghed and smacked him upside the head as she walked by "Not fair" He protested as he ran to catch up
"How long was I gone for?"
"2 months"
"Holy crap"
"And your sure you don't know what happened"
"Yea, why would I lie anyway not like I have much to lie about"
"I didn't mean it like that"
"I know"
"How about you are you hiding anything," He asks
"Nope"
"Good"
"Any idea what time it is," He asks her
"Still no"
"Well, then can we set up camp and call it a night?" He asks hopefully "Fine," she says
"Wake up Ghost face," Sophi says shaking him
"One-second Big brain." She stared at him in shock "how did you-you remember that" "What" he said "That was just the first thing that came to mind."
"Well that is what you used to call me"
"Oh"
"Still let's get moving before more monsters catch up we can talk and walk at the same time"
"Gods Sophie slow down for a second" Hector said while getting up
"Nope," she said grabbing his arm
